- Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the challenges faced and overcoming behaviors developed by black women entrepreneurs. Inductive exploratory research was realized through individual interviews with black women entrepreneurs. The results show that the intersectionality of race and gender impacts the way black women do business, their challenges, and their overcoming behaviors. This study contributes by identifying overcoming behaviors, namely sorority, aquilombamento, resilience, and continuous learning. This paper contributes to the literature focused on the challenges and difficulties of black women by advancing the understanding of overcoming behaviors in black female entrepreneurship. The idea of editorial decoloniality is elaborated from the coverage of the National Women's Meeting (ENM) and 1st São Paulo Women's Congress held in Brazil in 1979, conveyed by the newspaper Lampião da Esquina, which highlighted the sociologist Lélia Gonzalez. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research are decolonial studies and decolonial feminism through the notion of intersectionality, which enables other epistemologies to communication and journalism. The proposal characterizes the intention to reconfigure editorial guidelines and processes in order to contemplate the visibility of politically and publicly marginalized groups and subjects. The coverage of the events crosses homoerotic themes, addressing facts in triangulations with issues of gender, social class and race. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study highlights the importance of intersectional geographic reasoning in the multidisciplinary health team of the e-Care-Sentinel project, implemented to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the university community of Sao Paulo State University. Started in June 2021, the project incorporated telehealth as a strategy and was expanded to several specialties in 2022. From the start, the Geography team played a crucial role in the spatial analysis of care, using geographical theoretical traditions to address principles such as location, distribution, connectivity and spatial order. Over time, the intersectional approach was incorporated, enriching the understanding of health inequities through the interaction between different axes of subordination, from a feminist perspective. The results of the project were presented through geographical visualization, including thematic maps, graphs, tables and word clouds. Highlights include the identification of public health facilities in the 24 municipalities in the state of Sao Paulo where the university is located, facilitating the orientation of students, staff, professors and outsourced workers to the public health system. Analysis revealed that white people, females and students were the main users of teleconsultations, while data tabulation identified prevalent symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss and persistent COVID-19 symptoms. The expansion of the project and the geographical analysis indicated the prevalence of diabetes, hypertension and respiratory diseases. This article concludes by demonstrating how the addition of a Geography team to telehealth contributes to the strategic planning of preventive actions, underlining the importance of initiatives that promote health in the university community. The 2019 novel Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo tackles concerns prevalent in contemporary society. Because the body is such an elemental factor in the novel, as it has become in different realms of life, the bodies of its twelve characters serve as a canvas through which various class, gender, ethnical, sexual, and religious paradigms are presented and questioned. This article intends to explore, through an intersectional lens, the experiences lived by some of these womxn which are reflected, conditioned and filtered through their bodies. It focuses on the role of the body as both a vessel for expression and/or oppression of identity, separately, having in mind that these womxn are (second-generation) immigrants of differing ages and socio-economic backgrounds. This presentation summarizes the evolution of my experience as a Biology teacher, which starts from a traditional perspective of teaching the discipline towards the search for new paradigms - antipatriarchal, antiability and intercultural-didactic by the hand of Sexual Education (ESI). Contributions are taken from feminist thought and from other social groups produced in various historical and political contexts that question knowledge and knowledge given from the recognition of the persistence of the coloniality of power-knowledge, that is, of a hierarchy imposed by the axes of power of race, social class, sex-gender, among others, fundamentally, in the educational field. The intersectional paradigm of ESI is proposed in the creation of didactic devices for the construction of a counter-hegemonic didactics, that is, a counter-Didactics. It should be sought in those places where it is possible to "rethink what is crystallized and naturalized to build other teaching proposals, based on equality as a starting point" (Ramírez, 2023:4). That is the place of the ESI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOCIAL movements , *GOVERNMENT policy , *SOCIAL networks , *NEW right (Politics) , *INTERSECTIONALITY , *SOCIAL change , *SOCIAL action , *SOCIAL network analysis , *SOCIAL clubs - Abstract
This article contributes to our understanding of how social movement coalitions with an intersectional political perspective function. It analyzes the development in Uruguay of a network of social movements that successfully promoted the so-called "new rights agenda" during the progressive government (2005-2020). This case is particularly interesting given its level of success in terms of legal changes and public policies and the role played by social movements in these changes. Considering the above, do Uruguayan social organizations in the new rights agenda form an integrated network of action? If so, what level of segmentation do these organizations assume based on their main issues? Through an analysis of networks, we show that these organizations operate within an integrated network, which is reinforced by the presence of specific entities that play a central intermediary role. However, the existence of organizational link segmentation is evident, indicating that while there is some capacity for interaction among different social movement industries, a thematic logic predominates when understanding interactions within the network. The network analysis presented is based on information collected in an original survey conducted with 49 organizations in Montevideo involved in the new rights agenda. Empirically, the article advances our knowledge of this unique case in the Latin American context through an innovative methodology for analyzing these phenomena. On a theoretical level, it addresses recent discussions in the literature concerning the impact of an intersectional perspective on the actions and outcomes of social movements and their capacity to create effective coalitions. This article is an excerpt from a master's thesis in public policy. Thus, the problem is: Do racism, capitalism and patriarchy position black women in the lowest pyramid of society? And with objectives: to analyze how racism, patriarchy and capitalism cross black women and girls in the lowest social layer of the social hierarchy. For that, a field research was carried out with the bibliographical research, in which the intersectionality theory was used as a methodological approach with the Historical Dialectical theory, being a qualitative research. It was obtained as a result and discovery that much progress is still needed in terms of treatment of race, gender and class in school. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: we aim to understand how racism tangibly manifests in the lives of Black women, limiting their agency as they navigate social spaces through cultural expressions in the city of Belo Horizonte. Theoretical approach: we draw upon the concepts of structural racism and narcissistic pact, identifying convergences and divergences in the understanding of organizations as racialized spaces. Methods: we employ a qualitative approach within the context of ethnographic research, opting to conduct a semi-structured interview with Zuri, the president of an Afro block. As an analytical tool, we apply the concept of intersectionality. Results: we highlight that both structural racism and the narcissistic pact manifest in the daily life of organizations. Both phenomena are even more pernicious for Black women, particularly when they challenge a racist and sexist structure. Conclusions: the collective dimension of racism presents challenges to organizations and their stakeholders. This effect may lead individuals, especially organizational leaders who should be more committed to structural change, to hide behind the racism within their institutions and pacts among their team members. Objective: this reader reflects on the exhaustion of being an outsider within a postgraduate Administration program. Theoretical approach: I also incorporate dialogue with black feminist thinkers to explore the intertwined intersections in autobiographical narratives. I highlight the concept of outsider whitin to reflect experiences of less privileged groups, who come up against paradigms established by a more influential community of insiders. In this movement, I shatter images that produce apathetic identities, enabling them to position themselves in the face of social dynamics. Method: to do this, I use Conceição Evaristo's theoretical operator Escrevivência to revisit memories and reveal, through a transactional dialogue, productions located in the knowledge of black women. Results: in addition, I instigate reflections, acceptance, and representation of all peoples, addressing not only personal drama but also community history. Conclusions: finally, through a utopian effort, I articulate possible ways for postgraduate courses in Administration to break through the barriers experienced and raise the potential for those willing to contribute to the country's social, scientific, and theoretical development. INTERSECTIONALITY , *YOUNG adults , *GENDER , *SOCIAL space , *GROUP identity , *POWER (Social sciences) , *FEMININITY , *MASCULINITY - Abstract
Analyzing the school space from an intersectional gender perspective implies going beyond its approach as a context of interaction between children and young people, recognizing that space and social identities are mutually constituted. In other words, space reflects hegemonic power relations and, simultaneously, its conception and experience perpetuate various forms of inequality. This article approaches school, from an intersectional perspective, placing the spatial dimension at the center of analyzes of the plurality of ways in which students occupy and experience different places. The experiences of students and their experiences in the school space are captured and understood using participatory mapping as an analysis methodology, applied, to three school groups located in the city of Lisbon, in Portugal. The results reveal the advantages of the methodology in analyzing the plurality of masculinities and femininities at school, revealing how gender and national origin are relevant to understanding the way in which groups of students create a distinct identity and are identified. Participatory mapping also proves to be an appropriate methodology for analyzing interaction processes between students of different nationalities and the role of these processes in the formation of socio-spatial dynamics at school, through three mechanisms: cultural laterization, the ghettoization of the school space and the peripheral occupation of the sports court by the feminine students. In this article, I propose a way of understanding the relationship between academic practice and intersectionality in Latin American postcoloniality. Firstly, I show how the link between intersectionality and modern/colonial issues framed the debates on “differences between women” in Latin America. Secondly, I define intersectionality as an epistemological perspective supported by a research practice that seeks to interrupt the effects of coloniality, whose tasks can include: the interruption of the subject/object binary and the practice of listening that reveals the hierarchies between differences, debunks the myths of subaltern voices and provides a language for the co-writing of files that disrupt what is narrated as violence against women. Third, I conclude with a summary of what has been written about the category of intersectionality and I raise questions about shared and different aspects of a feminist project. This paper presents Tadesgná, a Toba woman “colocada” (placed) in Buenos Aires, and the reconstruction of her experience in shelters, a police station, jail, a hospital and a hospice in the years 1885- 1886. The analysis of this part of her biography allows us to understand some common denominators in the fate of indigenous women during that decade: the places where they were taken to, the multiple and successive transfers from one master to the following one, the language barrier difficulties and the several forms of violence they were subjected to. If we focus on the characterisation read in the sources with reference to her first menstruation period and her facial tattoo, it is clear that the discourses stemming from criminology, legal medicine, law, police and journalism were based on a racialisation and a configuration of gender that branded indigenous women with the utmost negativity, thus naturalising their ill-treatment [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PSYCHOANALYSIS , *INTERSECTIONALITY , *COLONIES , *PATRIARCHY , *CAPITALISM - Abstract
This paper critically addresses the recent irruption of intersectionality in the psychoanalytic field. By establishing a parallelism between Marx and Freud, it shows their intersectional sensibility. However, it also points out how both start from the intersection and then explain it via a determining structure: a structure presented by Marx as capitalist, colonial, and patriarchal. At the same time, in Freud, it is revealed as overdetermined by each subject's story and oedipal configuration. It is observed how this structural level tends to go unnoticed in Max Belkin's work and other current proposals of intersectional psychoanalysis. Alternatively, the article evokes Mexican Santiago Ramírez's old psychoanalysis and reflects on how structure could produce the intersection. This reflection allows us to reconsider the colonial aspect of the Freudian heritage in Latin America. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This jurisprudential analysis aims to verify if the use of intersectional discrimination carried out by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of the Employees of the Santo Antônio de Jesus Fireworks Factory and their Relatives vs. Brazil is in line with international jurisprudence and the standards developed by other regional human rights courts. This case was chosen due to the multiplicity of identities of the individuals involved, the structural dimension of human rights violations, and the complex observations made by the IACHR regarding the intersection of intersectional and structural discrimination. Primary bibliographic sources --cases judged by the courts-- and secondary sources --books, articles, and periodicals-- were used to trace the concepts, investigate discrimination and human rights violations, and understand the judgments rendered by regional courts. The cases used for the analysis of the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights were selected based on the organ's own selection of "key cases" regarding intersectionality, while the cases from the African Court of Human Rights and Peoples were provided by renowned researchers in the field. The article from the magazine Historia Caribe analyzes the process of mobility and settlement of the Palenquera women in Barranquilla between 1950 and 1970. These women were mainly dedicated to selling sweets, fruits, and bollos, and they moved around the city on foot to sell their products. The study is based on oral sources and seeks to understand their migration process, settlement, work relationships, and identity during that period. It also mentions the importance of women in the culture, economy, and traditions of the Palenque de San Basilio. Additionally, it discusses the living conditions in the Palenque and the mobility of the Palenquera women to other cities in search of better conditions. The article also describes the economic and industrial development of Barranquilla in the early 20th century and its subsequent decline. Despite the industrial crisis, the city remained attractive for migration of people in search of better living conditions and commercial opportunities. The role of the Palenquera women in the production and sale of bollos, sweets, and fruits in Barranquilla is also highlighted. These migrant women established businesses in the city and adapted their gastronomic customs to a new context. Finally, the colonial relationship between black Palenquera women and white women in Barranquilla is mentioned, and how the Palenquera women economically contributed to their households and improved the living conditions of their families. - Abstract
The presence of women in the university and in research can be considered a position of resistance, since the female gender faces several problems to be present in these and other spaces of power. As a way of breaking the silence in the face of some gender issues, this article presents the results of a didactic intervention developed for the curricular component of History and Philosophy of Science, in the Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at a Brazilian Federal University. The article aims to discuss issues that cross gender diversity in different spaces, especially in academics and schools. The emerging categories presented in this text were based on the records of classes and questionnaires carried out by the teachers enrolled in the curricular component developed from the Content Analysis. The results allow us to understand that the proposed activity had its objective achieved in terms of promoting the discussion about gender, in different spaces. It was also evident that the academic environment is not yet a representative space, and also that the silence and the outbursts of professors on issues involving representativeness and diversity denote the importance of spaces for information, training and reflection in initial and continuing education at school and in society as a whole. In this article, we analyze the violence experienced by Latin American women in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Theoretically, we work from two frameworks of analysis. The first is the triangular model proposed by Galtung, as it highlights the interaction of different forms of violence. The second is based on intersectionality, as it locates factors of oppression that enhance situations of vulnerability. Methodologically, we held 29 semi-structured interviews with Latin American women living in the city of Barcelona between 2014-2016 and 2019-2021. This time frame responds to the stages of the two research studies that support this article. The first of these (2014-2016), undertaken in the context of doctoral research by Dr. Macarena Trujillo, analyzed the experiences of Latin American women who were heads of single-parent families. The second (2019-2021) was in the context of a postdoctoral research by Dr. Paola Contreras, who delved into how migration accentuates and/or allows the emergence of violence that aggravates such issues. Both studies were carried out in Barcelona. The sample is made up of women aged between 26 and 53 years, with and without residence permits and who mostly work in domestic and care services. The results highlight how the migratory situation operates as a catalyst for violence that, directly and indirectly, influences the formation of a matrix of intersectional violence. Based on the latter, we propose to broaden the concept of violence against migrant women due to the complexity, multiplicity, and diversity of situations they face in their migratory journey. This paper addresses the intersectionality theme in mathematics education to clarify the existing epistemic racism. Through the presentation of excerpts from Brazilian high school mathematics textbooks, more specifically the pages that deal with the history of mathematics, we argued that, in these analyzed textbooks, mathematics is European, male and white, because the narrative constructed by the creators of these books reproduces the Eurocentric logic of mathematical knowledge, erasing other histories of mathematics and creating a very specific narrative about the construction of human knowledge. The analyses were intersectional as a fundamental concept, as multiple aspects, such as gender, ethnicity, race, and nationality, were taken into consideration. The discourse analysis was the analytical tool that made it possible to look at the math textbooks and describe how the materialization of discourses about teaching and learning occurs, producing a history of mathematics teaching in our time; of what is idealized and what is invisibilized. The 24 volumes of the eight collections approved in PNLD 2018 were analyzed. Using the Atlas TI software, six characteristics were investigated: (i) the content addressed; (ii) the continent of origin of that character; (iii) whether it was a quote in text form or whether, in addition to the text (character's name), there was also a figure or photo; (iv) gender; (v) race; (vi) name. We found 554 references to scientists and mathematicians, showing that, in the analyzed books, mathematics is constructed by white and European-origin men. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the advent of AIDS, a discursive journalistic-biomedical-mediatic articulation contributed to accentuate stigmatization on certain populations, implying a colonization of HIV in which the virus would reach some people while others would be free. Through a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), a critical literature review was carried out in some academic-legal-media areas from a narrative literature review (NLR). The theoretical, ethical and political references of decolonial studies were used for the present analysis because they understand that coloniality is reproduced in a triple dimension: that of power, knowledge and being. These studies were linked to an intersectional criticism in which multiple forms of discrimination can overlap and be experienced in intersection having the contextualization about what aids represented, in Haiti, as a comparative central axis for analysis. We were interested in thinking about the contribution of these perspectives to launch some provocations to the responses to HIV/AIDS in an attempt to overcome a reductionist view propagated by moral and criminalizing discourses that, by positioning themselves through supposed neutrality, conceal the intersectionality of gender, class, race and sexuality, raising barriers to health promotion and HIV/AIDS prevention policies and strategies. Through in-depth interviews with 17 women and ten health care professionals that belong to different institutions within the care network for women in situations of violence, and who have experience with cases of violation of privacy rights in Brazil, this work analyzes what women endure when their intimate images are exposed without their consent. It was observed that the unauthorized exposure of intimacy is initiated by different people who are related to these women and it is motivated by different factors. Commonly, exposure occurs amidst other types of violence against women that can be associated with it or not. The main damage caused to women is not the exposure itself, but the repercussion of this event in their personal and professional relationships, and the revictimization they faced, mainly, in institutions such as the police. Home food environments provide opportunities and practices related to food and nutrition and the promotion of healthy eating patterns. Due to gender constructions, women play a key role in these contexts, being historically and culturally associated with food care at home. Race and social class are considered factors that provide different experiences and levels of female agency in home food environments, with special impact on nutrition and health. Based on this, the present study proposes a reflection about the repercussions of relations between gender and home food environments. It also discusses how unfolded interactions between gender, race and economic inequalities affect food organization and care based on aspects that range from purchase and preparation of healthy foods to created consumption patterns. It is concluded that some factors such as unshared household chores, double work shift, overload, difficulty of accessing resources and foods and socioeconomic vulnerability are challenges to be overcome to build fair and healthy home food environments. This study aims to analyze the representation of black women in narratives by Conceição Evaristo. To do so, we worked with two texts by this author: Ponciá Vicêncio and Mary Benedita. In these narratives, we present how the characters associate themselves with a perspective of (re)existence in the face of the various setbacks that black women encounter. The analysis carried out allows us to conclude that the female characters depicted in Conceição Evaristo's fiction learn to resignify their experiences amidst shattered bonds of love and pain, asserting themselves as subjects despite their peripheral condition. INTERSECTIONALITY , *GENDER - Abstract
The objective of this research is to investigate how urban mobility and gender are portrayed in the Latin American literature on city management. To achieve this aim, an integrative review of the scientific production on gender and urban mobility in the region was carried out. After the inclusionexclusion screening, 22 articles were analyzed in full. The studies surveyed indicate that gender invisibility in urban planning of cities and the sexual division of labor are decisive factors that negatively impact women's mobility. This reveals the need to develop studies that address the diversity and uniqueness of women in relation to mobility, considering inequalities of race, class, sexuality, generation and physical capacity in dialogue with critical perspectives such as intersectionality and feminist geography in urban management. The motivation behind this work involves reflecting on the dimensions of being deaf and being black in order to understand the intersection of particular systems of power – racism and audism – in the conformation of subjectivities of deaf blacks. By employing the analytical tool of intersectionality, we seek to promote the debate that involves the intersection between race and deafness, analyzing the thematization of identity policies in artistic-cultural manifestations of deaf blacks. Based on the theoretical-conceptual contributions produced in the fields of deaf studies in education and ethnic-racial relations, we adopt intersectional approaches with the intention of reflecting on the social markers of the difference between black and deaf individuals and the intersections of exclusions and inequalities that entail their social experiences, taking some aesthetic manifestations of the deaf black community that has been operating as forms of resistance, agency, and strengthening of the identity struggles of deaf blacks. Postfeminism is a neoliberal discursive formation that has characterized contemporary cultural products and propagated a highly conservative mode of empowerment that undermines feminist causes. Research has shown that postfeminism obscures the causes of gender inequality and how they overlap with other categories of oppression that intersectional feminism has sought to address. Although advertising is a recurrent object of study in feminist research focused on this issue, institutional communication is still little studied in this regard. To identify dimensions of this phenomenon, in this study we examine, from a qualitatively oriented content analysis, the digital communication conducted by Brazilian brands on their LinkedIn pages on International Women's Day. The results are unpromising, as they account for the dominance of post-feminism in corporate rhetoric. We discuss them showing, through a case study, how organizational communication can also contribute to the intersectional feminism agenda. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The research aimed to verify if and how intersectionality is present in the documents that guide public policies for women in Teresina/PI and how it was introduced. Two documents were analyzed, formulated in 2015 and 2018, and interviews were carried out with four managers. The research concluded that the documents do not mention intersectionality, however, they formally adopt such a perspective, albeit in a limited way. The incorporation of this limited perspective was made possible by the hiring of a specialist by the city hall, in addition to being one of the guidelines of the Conferences of Rights adopted by the managers. The research problematizes this formal and limited incorporation of intersectionality, taking up criticisms of black feminism that point out the need for non-white women to participate in the formulation of collective decisions. The article analyzes the representations and discourses about black and white women artists in the magazines O Cruzeiro and Manchete (1950-1959), through the concept of intersectionality, imbricated with the categories of color, class and gender in historical analysis. The narratives about women artists in these magazines presented themes involving discrimination and race and gender relations, evidenced in their pages from the construction of discourses of ambiguous character about black women artists, presented under principles of hypersexualization and/or under the pure manifestation of structural and cultural racism, from the stereotyping of black female bodies. The white women artists were represented according to the standards usually imposed on women, such as the vocation to marriage and motherhood, corroborating to consolidate the stereotype of the ideal wife/woman. The objective of this article is to question the ergonomics on the basis of Roberto Novaes’ documentary-intervention, "Mulheres das águas" (women of the waters), which describes and comments on the activities of the fisherwomen in the mangroves of the North-East of Brazil. Their way of life, their work and the survival of their families are threatened by pollution from large industries and by tourism which damages the ecosystem. The documentary highlights the commitment and resistance of these women in their quest to preserve fishing grounds, maintain and expand their social rights, and improve their working and health conditions. We explore questions raised by the documentary that challenge contemporary ergonomics and appeal to: the category of analysis of intersectionality, the notion of extended harmfulness, the tradition of Freire’s education, and the approach of the territory as being acted in work activity. RACE , *MODERN society , *INTERSECTIONALITY , *GENDER - Abstract
This article reflectively and critically presents the intersectionality present between the themes of gender and race. In this way, we start from the assumption that schools need to be anchored in intersectionality as an analytical tool to give meaning and consistency to education practices and promote discussions about gender and race in an interconnected way, thus providing a panoramic view of these themes that presents themselves as challenging and, at the same time, essential for the teaching and learning process. The proposed study is based on the bibliographic research of different authors, such as Akotirene (2019), Candau (2014), Collins and Bilge (2020), Connel and Pearse (2015), Grosfoguel (2009), Henrique (2002), hooks (2015), Louro (2014), Vianna (2020) and others, seeking to relate, within the research of these authors, the dialogue on studies of gender, race and intersectionality in a contextualized way with education. In this view, we can conclude that the intersectionality between gender and race is fruitful and they are (re)produced historically, This is why the school needs to deepen the discussions on these themes in order to guarantee the development of citizenship and, consequently, the appreciation of heterogeneity and the differences present in school and in contemporary society. Datafication--through which many aspects of social life are transformed into data--is usually equated with a more efficient use of resources and improved state--citizen relations. But it can have negative consequences on those at the margins of society, such as refugees, racialized individuals, gig workers, and citizens of countries with scant respect for human rights. How can we understand the ways in which the disempowered are impacted by and resist datafication? This essay presents an analytical matrix to study data at the margins. The matrix identifies three components of data at the margins: (1) infrastructure, emphasizing the material dimension; (2) practices, pinpointing agency in people's encounters with datafication; and (3) imaginaries, that is, the cultural and symbolic facets of data at the margins. The matrix offers also three lenses of interpretation through which to observe the components: (1) decoloniality and race, (2) intersectionality and feminism, and (3) the "pluriverse." Together, they help in questioning datafication and why certain social groups are oppressed while uncovering pathways toward justice and equality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The goal of the actual paper is to discuss about the historical and social main on the black feminist pedagogy in schools, because we understand that a single feminism does not take care on all the women's schedule. From the understanding about the theme and its theoretical references, mainly black feminists intellectuals, such as Lélia Gonzales (2020); bell hooks (2015); Angela Davis (2011-2017); Kimberlé Crenshaw (2002); Sueli Carneiro (2002); Sojouner Truth (1851). Furthermore, we use the decolonial viewpoint, problematizing the eurocentric patterns imposed by the colonizers have produced the sets of intersectional oppressions, as the sexual, races and gender ones, and so on. In this way, we consider that writing about black feminism pedagogy is already subvert oppressive curricula that keep reproducing ethnic racial on the eurocentric point of view, making invisible the knowledge production made by black woman. We aim to present the Carolina Maria de Jesus project and the dialogues with the school, organized by the CISGES Research Group (Science, Health, Gender, Feeling) - Line 3: Gender, Mobility and Borders - Interdisciplinarity and Identity Constructions. The project involves master's students of the Graduate Program in Human Sciences of UNISA (Santo Amaro University), aiming to develop and discuss the theme of gender and intersectionality in the life and work of Carolina Maria de Jesus in the continuing education of teachers of the public network. The daily routine exposed in "Child of the dark: The diary of Carolina Maria de Jesus" allows us to problematize the coexistence of the writer, a black and poor woman, with the reality of the excluding city, dialoguing with the Human Sciences area and educational possibilities. To this end, this text maps the two formations carried out by this project, with teachers from the state public network of the South Zone of the city of São Paulo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This text narrates compositions woven in the midst of participation in extension activities of two brazilian public universities, which have been rehearsing to sew clinical practices with feminist struggle in an intersectional perspective, understanding that the psychic suffering of brazilian women from the urban periphery and from traditional communities is an effect of inequalities of class, race, gender, and region of the city. These two initiatives ended up spinning a network of relationships between universities and communities linked by projects created from the pressing demands of the living territories in which they are located. This encounter is crossed with violence and loss that are heard in a society that every day expands a necropolitical way of governing. We exercise the act of naming a feminist clinic and end up finding the political exercise of women articulated in social movements. The singularity of women is weaved in the setbacks of the designated functions in the history of this colonized country. Thus, this clinical approach is not only interested in family plots, but also wants to face totalizing forms and dominant codes, and, in this direction, affirms the radical nature of an inseparability between clinic and politics. This article explores cyberfeminist participation, with a focus on the 8M movement, the most recent international feminist strike front, which repoliticizes the feminist movements of this century (Arruzza et al., 2019), and is characterized as a mobilization that is a consequence of the association between the online and the street (Zimmerman, 2017). To better understand the construction of intersectional feminism through digital activism, we performed a netnographic analysis of the Instagram profile of the Rede 8 de Março, which organizes the strike in Portugal, during the month of March 2021 - still in pandemic period - evidencing the use of hybridity as a tool for construction and mobilization. After the analysis, semi-structured interviews were carried out with participants of the collective that organizes the strike. The main results reveal the recurrence of themes around misogyny violence and domestic work and show the importance of hybrid feminist activism in the construction of a transnational movement. QUEER theory , *AMERICAN identity , *ABJECTION , *CONTENT analysis , *SELF-efficacy , *SELF-portraits , *YOUNG adult fiction - Abstract
The present study aims to address the theme of abjection and identity in the American young adult novel Felix Ever After (2021), by Kacen Callender. For that, this bibliographic research uses the content analysis theory proposed by Bardin (1977) in order to make analytical clippings, since, like any literary work, the novel is multifaceted and leads in different directions. The work, divided into four parts, presents the aforementioned theme of abjection and then, in the final part, addresses the issue of identity and two forms of empowerment and response to abjection, the use of self-portraits and the acceptance of love. The theoretical basis used derives from the Queer Theory, the Cultural Studies and Intersectionality, since it is a novel whose protagonist is a young black, transsexual, queer, belonging to a less privileged economic class. RACE , *FICTIONAL characters , *WHITE women , *CLASSISM , *SPEECH , *SINGING - Abstract
The Brazilian writer Carolina Maria de Jesus (1914-1977) denounced, in her most widespread work, Quarto de despejo: diário de uma favelada [Child of the Dark] (1960), some of the Brazilian social ills, such as hunger, racism, classism, and sexism. Such denunciations are also present in her namesake album, the object of this study, released in the following year: Quarto de despejo: Carolina Maria de Jesus cantando suas composições [Quarto de despejo: Carolina Maria de Jesus singing her compositions] (1961). Thus, observing the intersectionality perspectives (AKOTIRENE, 2020) present in the course of the author's work, as well as the social-historical context and the "lugar de fala" (standpoint of speech) (RIBEIRO, 2020) that involves the ninth song of the album, "As granfinas", the aim is to verify how the intersections between race, gender, and class, of the portrayed female characters in this song, manifest. This analysis considers that, despite sharing gender issues, the female representations that emerge are opposites: on one side the "granfina", a white woman confined to the mythological construction of the gender rolls ideas, and on the other, the maid, stigmatized to maternal and domestic rolls added to racism, due to the sum of the colonial invention of gender and race. THEOLOGY , *INTERSECTIONALITY , *POPES , *INVISIBILITY , *FEMINIST theology ,CATHOLIC Church doctrines - Abstract
This text aims to emphasize the relevance of the concept of intersectionality to the discursive construction of the “Common Home” mentioned by Pope Francis. This wish implies the challenge to build contextual theologies in which multiple voices, in particular, women’s voices are present. The text assumes the need of an attitude that is both humble and willing to hear in face of the various forms of suffering, of exclusion and of invisibility of those that Pope Francis mentions as the “disposable”. The text draws attention to what seems to be a lack of knowledge of feminist theologies, even when women are mentioned, and refers some key points of the emergence of those theologies in the Catholic Church in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council. The issue of the «blind spots» in the Common Home, especially in Portuguese theologies is also mentioned, as well as the need to accept the challenge of intersectionality. This approach allows room for crossing theological issues with realities, situations and problems that require a complex, contextual and critical approach. The first step in that direction requires a self-analysis of theology. The text considers that the intersectional path is able to develop a cautious discourse in times and places where both religion and the “gender” problematic become an instrument of political manipulation. In this article, I analyze, from an intersectional approach, the ways in which the subject of juvenile penal policy is reconfigured in a situated way, based on the sanction of an alternative measure to being judged and/or to being imprisoned. From an ethnographic fieldwork carried out between 2018 and 2019 in a centro sociocomunitario de responsabilidad penal juvenil, in a town in Greater Buenos Aires, I was able to reframe the overlap between the formal markers that configure the population subject to this socio-criminal policy -age and imputation of a crime- and informal ones, especially regarding gender, class and racialization. The situated experiences of the young people, mostly men, poor and pejoratively labeled as "negros," are configuring the construction of the contours between "us" and "others" which, also, reconfigures the entire penal territorial youth experience.
