In previous attempts to model the behavior of the charge output of superconducting tunnel junctions, we have postulated the existence of traps which locally confine quasiparticles. Recently, we gathered more insight in the nature of these traps and developed a theory of inelastic transitions incorporating intra-gap localized states at magnetic impurities. In this paper we simulate the responsivity of a superconducting tunnel junction using theory on intra-gap localized states at magnetic impurities and find good agreements with the experimental data on Ta/A1 superconducting tunnel junctions at different temperatures.
