Since the discovery of the first peroxidase nanozyme (Fe3O4), numerous nanomaterials have been reported to exhibit intrinsic enzyme‐like activity toward inorganic oxygen species, such as H2O2, oxygen, and O2−. However, the exploration of nanozymes targeting organic compounds holds transformative potential in the realm of industrial synthesis. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the diverse types of nanozymes that catalyze reactions involving organic substrates and discusses their catalytic mechanisms, structure‐activity relationships, and methodological paradigms for discovering new nanozymes. Additionally, we propose a forward‐looking perspective on designing nanozyme formulations to mimic subcellular organelles, such as chloroplasts, termed "nano‐organelles". Finally, we analyze the challenges encountered in nanozyme synthesis, characterization, nano‐organelle construction and applications while suggesting directions to overcome these obstacles and enhance nanozyme research in the future. Here, we propose a piperidine-based ionic liquid additive. The electrostatic shielding effect of the piperidine cation (PP13+) effectively inhibits the growth of lithium dendrites. Simultaneously, the redox activity of the bromine anion synergistically reduces the overpotential. This approach significantly improves the cycling performance of lithium – oxygen batteries. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition under which an involution monoid generates a variety with continuum many subvarieties. According to this result, several involution J -trivial monoids are shown to generate varieties with continuum many subvarieties. Metallic substances are favored for storing and transporting spent nuclear fuels (SNFs) due to their thermal stability, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance. Adding gadolinium (Gd) significantly enhances neutron shielding, improving efficiency with reduced thickness and dimensions. In this study, Al–Gd 2 O 3 metal nanocomposites were synthesized using powder-processed mechanical milling. The crystal structure features of (100-x)Al-x%Gd 2 O 3 samples with varying percentages of Gd 2 O 3 (5 %, 10 %, and 15 % by weight) were analyzed by X-ray diffraction. Microstructural properties were studied using scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM). The synthesized composites' neutron and γ-radiation shielding characteristics were investigated theoretically using the MCNP6.2 transport code. Analysis of the XRD data revealed prominent peak shifts with increased milling time, indicating reduced particle sizes. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) indicated Gd 2 O 3 -induced changes in temperature behavior, and the Vickers microhardness tests demonstrated enhanced mechanical strength with increasing gadolinium concentration. Improved neutron radiation shielding was observed with higher Gd 2 O 3 content. Our study highlights the potential of Gd 2 O 3 -enriched metal matrix composites for advanced industrial applications. Previous studies have linked kidney stone disease (KSD) with depression, but there are no reports on the relationship between anxiety and KSD, and the mechanism underlying the potential relationship remains unclear. Associations of anxiety and incident KSD were assessed in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHENES) using multivariate logistic regression. Two-sample bidirectional Mendelian randomization studies and a two-step two-sample MR was used to estimate the mediating factors that influence KSD risk. Examinations of NHANES data revealed that a rise in the frequency and intensity of anxiety were independently associated with incident KSD. In MR analysis, anxiety (uk-a-51 and uk-b-6519) were from the UK Biobank, with sample sizes of 328,717 and 450,765 respectively. KSD data were from the FinnGen, including 8597 cases and 333,128 controls. In the IVW analysis, genetically predicted anxieties (ukb-a-51 and ukb-b-6519) were found to be causally associated with a higher risk of KSD, with odds ratios of 6.18 (95 % CI 2.54–15.04) and 3.44 (95 % CI 1.67–7.08), respectively. There were no reverse causal effects. Further mediation analysis indicated that anxiety increases the risk of KSD by raising eGFR, through which 11.8 % of the effect of anxiety on KSD risk was mediated. The research was confined to individuals of European heritage, and there could be specific genetic variances among diverse ethnicities. The current study suggests anxiety as an independent causal risk factor for KSD and unveils a new pathogenic mechanism, showing that anxiety raises eGFR, thereby increasing the risk of KSD. • Anxiety is identified as an independent risk factor for kidney stone disease. • There is a causal relationship between anxiety and kidney stone disease. • eGFR acts as a mediator in the relationship between anxiety and kidney stone disease. Lithium‐metal anodes with excellent theoretical specific capacities (3680 mAh g−1) have attracted considerable attention for overcoming the capacity bottleneck of conventional graphite anodes. However, they often suffer from uncontrolled dendrite growth and undesirable side reactions, considerably limiting their practical application in lithium‐metal batteries. In this study, urchin‐like silver@copper oxide (Ag@CuO) heterostructures with gradient electrical conductivity and lithiophilicity are prepared using a facile liquid‐phase reduction method. The unique amphiphilic lithium mechanism of the alloying and conversion reactions effectively reduces the nucleation overpotential of the lithium metal anode and promotes a uniform lithium deposition process. Meanwhile, the in situ‐generated Li2O‐rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film can further induce uniform and reversible lithium plating/stripping. All these characteristics endow the Ag@CuO anode with a high Coulombic efficiency of 98.89%, even after 1200 cycles, and long cycle life of 2800 h at a current density of 0.2 mA cm−2, thus demonstrating that such modified Li metal anodes exhibit superior compatibility with major commercial cathode materials, such as LiCoO2 (LCO) and LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 (NCM‐811). Serial correlations within temperature time series serve as indicators of the temporal consistency of climate events. This study delves into the serial correlations embedded in global surface air temperature (SAT) data. Initially, we preprocess the SAT time series to eradicate seasonal patterns and linear trends, resulting in the SAT anomaly time series, which encapsulates the inherent variability of Earth's climate system. Employing diverse statistical techniques, we identify three distinct types of serial correlations: short-term, long-term, and nonlinear. To identify short-term correlations, we utilize the first-order autoregressive model, AR(1), revealing a global pattern that can be partially attributed to atmospheric Rossby waves in extratropical regions and the Eastern Pacific warm pool. For long-term correlations, we adopt the standard detrended fluctuation analysis, finding that the global pattern aligns with long-term climate variability, such as the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) over the Eastern Pacific. Furthermore, we apply the horizontal visibility graph (HVG) algorithm to transform the SAT anomaly time series into complex networks. The topological parameters of these networks aptly capture the long-term correlations present in the data. Additionally, we introduce a novel topological parameter, Δσ, to detect nonlinear correlations. The statistical significance of this parameter is rigorously tested using the Monte Carlo method, simulating fractional Brownian motion and fractional Gaussian noise processes with a predefined DFA exponent to estimate confidence intervals. Drama education was introduced to Chinese Early Childhood Education in the period between 2000 and 2010. Especially, in the past few years, it has grown enormously and attracted the Chinese Ministry of Education and scholars’ interests. However, previous studies have mostly focused on the use of drama education and the current situation but rarely looked into the professional development of kindergarten teachers in this new pedagogy. So, this research concentrates on presenting the current situation and challenges of Chinese kindergarten teachers’ professional development in drama education. Osteosarcoma is the most common type of primary malignant bone tumor. Due to the lack of selectivity and sensitivity of chemotherapy drugs to tumor cells, coupled with the use of large doses, chemotherapy drugs often have systemic toxicity. The use of modern sequencing technology to screen tumor markers in a large number of tumor samples is a common method for screening highly specific and selective anti-tumor drugs. This study aims to identify potential biomarkers using the latest reported gene expression signatures of oncogene-induced replication stress (ORS) in aggressive cancers, and potential anti-osteosarcoma drugs were screened in different drug databases. In this study, we obtained 89 osteosarcoma-related samples in the TARGET database, all of which included survival information. According to the median expression of each of six reported ORS gene markers (NAT10/DDX27/ZNF48/C8ORF33/MOCS3/MPP6), we divided 89 osteosarcoma gene expression datasets into a high expression group and a low expression group and then performed a differentially expressed gene (DEG) analysis. The coexisting genes of 6 groups of DEGs were used as replication stress-related genes (RSGs) of osteosarcoma. Then, key RSGs were screened using LASSO regression, a Cox risk proportional regression prognostic model and a tenfold cross-validation test. GSE21257 datasets collected from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database were used to verify the prognostic model. The final key RSGs selected were used in the L1000PWD and DGIdb databases to mine potential drugs. After further validation by the prognostic model, we identified seven genes associated with ORS in osteosarcoma as key RSGs, including transcription factor 7 like 2 (TCF7L2), solute carrier family 27 member 4 (SLC27A4), proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 5 (PCSK5), nucleolar protein 6 (NOL6), coiled-coil-coil-coil-coil-helix domain containing 4 (CHCHD4), eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit B (EIF3B), and synthesis of cytochrome C oxidase 1 (SCO1). Then, we screened the seven key RSGs in two drug databases and found six potential anti-osteosarcoma drugs (D GIdb database: repaglinide, tacrolimus, sirolimus, cyclosporine, and hydrochlorothiazide; L1000PWD database: the small molecule VU-0365117-1). Seven RSGs (TCF7L2, SLC27A4, PCSK5, NOL6, CHCHD4, EIF3B, and SCO1) may be associated with the ORS gene signatures in osteosarcoma. The photoexcited carrier dynamics of high-purity (HPSI) and vanadium-doped semi-insulating (VDSI) 4H-SiC irradiated by lasers with different wavelengths and powers were investigated. Raman spectra were measured at room temperature and the photoexcited carrier concentrations were extracted from the Raman line shape analysis of longitudinal optical phonon–plasmon coupled mode. It was found that the longitudinal optical (LO) peaks of HPSI and VDSI did not shift with laser power variations, due to a low concentration of photoexcited carriers, when a 532- nm laser was used. However, when a 355- nm laser was adapted, the relationship between the photoexcited carrier concentrations and the laser power was found to be nonlinear because of the dominance of trap-assisted Auger (TAA) recombination. The coefficient of TAA recombination was laser power–dependent. The proposed carrier dynamic model deepens the understanding of the physical mechanism of semi-insulating SiC irradiated by nanosecond laser and provides an insight into the interpretation of experimental phenomena related to laser energy in optoelectronic devices. The Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (OU) process was used to simulate random perturbations in the environment. Considering the influence of telegraph noise and jump noise, a stochastic Gilpin-Ayala nonautonomous competition model driven by the mean-reverting OU process with finite Markov chain and Lévy jumps was established, and the asymptotic behaviors of the stochastic Gilpin-Ayala nonautonomous competition model were studied. First, the existence of the global solution of the stochastic Gilpin-Ayala nonautonomous competition model was proven by the appropriate Lyapunov function. Second, the moment boundedness of the solution of the stochastic Gilpin-Ayala nonautonomous competition model was discussed. Third, the existence of the stationary distribution of the solution of the stochastic Gilpin-Ayala nonautonomous competition model was obtained. Background: Osteosarcoma (OS) is a highly metastatic primary bone malignancy, and the treatment options remain inadequate. Hence, exploring innovative natural medications is required. Prunetin (PRU) is an isoflavone that has been a proven anticancer agent in numerous cancer cell lines. However, the activity of PRU against OS remains uncertain. Materials and Methods: Here, we studied the anticancer activity of PRU (20 and 25 µM) on human OS cells MG-63 and investigated its latent mechanism. The PRU activity of MG-63 cells cytotoxicity, intracellular ROS, metastasis, apoptosis, anti-apoptotic proteins, MAPK/STAT-3, and AKT signaling pathways was assessed by MTT assay, DCFH-DA, DAPI, PI, AO/EB, cell adhesion, and RT-PCR analysis. Findings unveiled that PRU could constrain MG-63 cell viability and adhesion through elevated intracellular ROS and elicited apoptosis. Results: Likewise, PRU (20 and 25 µM) avert the MG-63 cell proliferation, which stimulates apoptosis by the enhancement of Bax and caspases, while it diminishes Bcl-2 in a dose-dependent way. Furthermore, PRU could reduce Pin-1, and anti-apoptotic elements, as well as trigger apoptotic signaling pathways. Our data established that PRU alleviates MG-63 cell proliferation and metastasis via ROS-mediated apoptosis, which triggers MAPKs/STAT3 and AKT pathways, suggesting that PRU is a promising natural remedy for OS. In order to comprehend the therapeutic target for cancer, we assessed the effect of PRU on the expression of Pin1, which is thought to be over-expressed in many human malignancies. According to our findings, PRU specifically suppressed Pin1 expression to reduce the expression of Akt, STAT3, P38, JNK, P65, and IL-6. We evaluated the impact of PRU on the expression of Pin1, which is allegedly over-expressed in many human malignancies, to better understand the therapeutic target for cancer. Researchers state that PRU inhibited the expression of Akt, STAT3, P38, JNK, P65, and IL-6 in particular, by suppressing Pin1 expression. 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) exhibit remarkable properties that are strongly influenced by their atomic structures, as well as by various types of defects and interfaces that can be precisely engineered and controlled. These features make 2D TMDs and TMD‐based materials highly promising for a wide range of applications in electronics, optoelectronics, magnetism, spintronics, catalysis, energy, etc. By providing a comprehensive approach to understand the structure–property–functionality relationship in materials at the atomic scale, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy techniques have emerged as invaluable tools for studying both the static characteristics and dynamic evolutions of 2D TMDs. In this review, the primary focus lies in exploring intrinsic and artificial structures in TMDs and their heterostructures, along with their corresponding properties, through cutting‐edge aberration‐corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). Additionally, recent advancements in the field of in situ visualization and manipulation of 2D TMDs using electron beams are highlighted. It is anticipated that the up‐to‐date overview provided, along with a glimpse into the future development of STEM‐based techniques, will make a substantial contribution to advancing research on 2D materials. This mini review provides an overview of a range of Ni‐, Co‐ and Pd‐catalyzed electroreductive cross‐coupling reactions. The combination of homogeneous transition‐metal catalysis and electrochemistry are green alternatives to traditional reductive cross‐coupling reactions to form Csp2‐Csp2, Csp2‐Csp3 and some Csp3‐Csp3 bonds in one step. Introduction: The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of N-acetylserotonin (NAS) on the autophagy of retinal cells in rats with retinal ischemia-reperfusion injury (RIRI) and to explore the mechanisms by which NAS administration can alleviate RIRI through the tropomyosin-related kinase receptor B (TrkB)/protein kinase B (Akt)/nuclear factor erythroid-derived factor 2-related factor (Nrf2) signaling pathway. Methods: Healthy adult male rats were randomly assigned to four groups: sham, RIRI, RIRI+NAS, and RIRI+NAS+ANA-12. The RIRI group was induced by elevating intraocular pressure, and changes in retinal structure and edema were assessed using H&E staining. The RIRI+NAS and RIRI+NAS+ANA-12 groups received intraperitoneal injections of NAS before and after modeling. The RIRI+NAS+ANA-12 group was also administered ANA-12, a TrkB antagonist. Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot analysis were used to evaluate phosphorylated TrkB (p-TrkB), phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt), Nrf2, sequestosome 1 (P62), and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3-II) levels in the retinas of each group. Electroretinogram was recorded to detect retinal function in each group of rats 24 h after modeling. Results: The RIRI+NAS group had a thinner retina and more retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) than RIRI and RIRI+NAS+ANA-12 groups (p < 0.05). Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot results showed that p-TrkB, p-Akt, n-Nrf2, and P62 levels in the RIRI+NAS group were higher compared with those in RIRI and RIRI+NAS+ANA-12 groups (p < 0.05). Also, lower LC3-II levels were observed in the RIRI+NAS group compared with that in RIRI and RIRI+NAS+ANA-12 groups (p < 0.05). Electroretinogram recording results showed that 24 h after retinal ischemia-reperfusion, the magnitude of b-wave changes was attenuated in the RIRI+NAS group compared with the RIRI group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The administration of NAS activates the TrkB/Akt/Nrf2 signaling pathway, reduces autophagy, alleviates retinal edema, promotes the survival of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs), and provides neuroprotection against retinal injury. Polyimide-based composite films with high thermal conductivity, good mechanical property and electrical insulating performance are urgently needed in the electronics and microelectronics fields. As one of the key technical challenges to be solved, interfacial compatibility between filler and matrix plays an important role for composite film. Herein, boron nitride was modified by grafting polyimide brushes via a two-step method, and a series of thermally conductive polyimide/boron nitride composite films were prepared. Both characterization and performance results proved that the interfacial interaction and compatibility was greatly enhanced, resulting in a significant reduction in defects and interfacial thermal resistance. The interphase width of transition zone between two phases was also efficiently enlarged due to polyimide brushes grafted on filler surface. As a result, composite films based on polyimide-grafted boron nitride exhibited significantly improved properties compared with those based on pristine filler. Tensile strength can reach up to 80 MPa even if the filler content is as high as 50 wt%. The out-of-plane and in-plane thermal conductivity of composite film increased to 0.841 and 0.850 W·m−1·K−1, respectively. In addition, thermal and dielectric properties of composite films were also enhanced to some extent. The above results indicate that surface modification by chemically grafting polymer brushes is an effective method to improve two-phase interfacial compatibility so as to prepare composite film with enhanced properties. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter (HARP2) will be on board NASA's Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) mission, scheduled for launch in January 2024. In this study we systematically evaluate the retrievability and uncertainty of aerosol and ocean parameters from HARP2 multi-angle polarimeter (MAP) measurements. To reduce the computational demand of MAP-based retrievals and maximize data processing throughput, we developed improved neural network (NN) forward models for spaceborne HARP2 measurements over a coupled atmosphere and ocean system within the FastMAPOL retrieval algorithm. To this end, a cascading retrieval scheme is implemented in FastMAPOL, which leverages a series of NN models of varying size, speed, and accuracy to optimize performance. Two sets of NN models are used for reflectance and polarization, respectively. A full day of global synthetic HARP2 data was generated and used to test various retrieval parameters including aerosol microphysical and optical properties, aerosol layer height, ocean surface wind speed, and ocean chlorophyll a concentration. To assess retrieval quality, pixel-wise retrieval uncertainties were derived from error propagation and evaluated against the difference between the retrieval parameters and truth based on a Monte Carlo method. We found that the fine-mode aerosol properties can be retrieved well from the HARP2 data, though the coarse-mode aerosol properties are more uncertain. Larger uncertainties are associated with a reduced number of available viewing angles, which typically occur near the scan edge of the HARP2 instrument. High mass loading and additive-free CoFe-PBA 1 /ACC composites were synthesized by a simple co-precipitation method at room temperature and further assembled into flexible symmetric supercapacitors, which exhibited excellent electrochemical and mechanical properties. [Display omitted] Supercapacitor electrodes often suffer from the low mass loading of active substances and the unsatisfactory ion/charge transport features due to the use of various additives. Exploring high mass loading and additive-free electrodes is of huge significance to develop advanced supercapacitors with commercial application prospects, which still remains challenging. Herein, high mass loading CoFe-prussian blue analogue (CoFe-PBA) electrodes are developed by a facile co-precipitation method using activated carbon cloth (ACC) as the flexible substrate. The homogeneous nanocube structure, large specific surface area (143.9 m2 g−1) and appropriate pore size distribution (3.4 nm) of the CoFe-PBA endow the as-prepared CoFe-PBA/ACC electrodes with low resistance and appealing ion diffusion characteristics. Typically, the high areal capacitance (1155.0 mF cm−2 at 0.5 mA cm−2) is obtained for high mass loading CoFe-PBA/ACC electrodes (9.7 mg cm−2). Furthermore, symmetrical flexible supercapacitors (FSCs) are constructed using CoFe-PBA/ACC electrodes and Na 2 SO 4 /polyving alcohol (Na 2 SO 4 /PVA) gel electrolyte, achieving superior stability (85.6% capacitance retention after 5,000 cycles), maximum energy density of 33.8 μWh cm−2 at 200.0 μW cm−2 and promising mechanical flexibility. Real-Time (RT) Precise Point Positioning (PPP) uses precise satellite orbits and clock corrections, and employs a separate receiver for positioning. With the growing demand, RT PPP is becoming an increasingly popular research topic. The ambiguity resolution (AR) can significantly improve the positioning accuracy and convergence time of PPP, so it is essential to study PPPAR in RT mode. In this paper, 37 MGEX stations from around the world are chosen, and the RT orbit, clock, and phase biases products broadcast by the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) are applied to PPPAR. Additionally, the residuals of the RT phase biases products, convergence time, and positioning accuracy are investigated. The results indicate that GPS products have the best quality of AR, with wide-lane (WL) and narrow-lane (NL) residuals of 98.9% and 95.3%, respectively, within ±0.25 cycles. Within ±0.25 cycles, the WL and NL residuals of the Galileo are 98.2% and 94.3%, respectively. Within ±0.25 cycles, the (Beidou Navigation Satellite System) BDS has a poor quality of AR, with WL and NL residuals of 97.3% and 73.1%, respectively. Due to the poor quality of the BDS AR, the convergence time of the BDS is not calculated in this paper. Astrocytes are the most plentiful cell type in the central nervous system (CNS) and perform complicated functions in health and disease. It is obvious that different astrocyte subpopulations, or activation states, are relevant with specific genomic programs and functions. In recent years, the emergence of new technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has made substantial advance in the characterization of astrocyte heterogeneity, astrocyte developmental trajectory, and its role in CNS diseases which has had a significant impact on neuroscience. In this review, we present an overview of astrocyte development, heterogeneity, and its essential role in the physiological and pathological environments of the CNS. The thermal stability of Ohmic contacts to n-type 4H-SiC using Au/Pt/Ni and Au/Pt/W/Ni layers has been systematically investigated after long-time aging in air at 300 °C and 400 °C. The specific contact resistance (ρc) is calculated from current–voltage (I–V) curves. The content of carbon in the contact layer is measured by Raman spectroscopy. A transmission electron microscope and a energy dispersive spectrometer are used to characterize the interface morphology and component distribution. The phase composition of the contact layer at different depths is analyzed in situ by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It is found that Ni2 − xWxSi decomposition plays an important role in improving the thermal stability of the Ohmic contact. The decomposition products (Ni, W, and Si atoms) react with oxygen, and the diffusion of oxygen to the Ni2Si/SiC interface can be reduced to some extent. Compared to Au/Pt/Si/SiC, the Au/Pt/W/Ni/SiC Ohmic contact exhibits better thermal stability. It is expected that the W/Ni/SiC Ohmic contact will be very suitable for high temperature applications. With the help of laser ablation, a technology for obtaining nanosized crystalline selenium particles (SeNPs) has been created. The SeNPs do not exhibit significant toxic properties, in contrast to molecular selenium compounds. The administration of SeNPs can significantly increase the viabilities of SH-SY5Y and PCMF cells after radiation exposure. The introduction of such nanoparticles into the animal body protects proteins and DNA from radiation-induced damage. The number of chromosomal breaks and oxidized proteins decreases in irradiated mice treated with SeNPs. Using hematological tests, it was found that a decrease in radiation-induced leukopenia and thrombocytopenia is observed when selenium nanoparticles are injected into mice before exposure to ionizing radiation. The administration of SeNPs to animals 5 h before radiation exposure in sublethal and lethal doses significantly increases their survival rate. The modification dose factor for animal survival was 1.2. It has been shown that the introduction of selenium nanoparticles significantly normalizes gene expression in the cells of the red bone marrow of mice after exposure to ionizing radiation. Given the shortcomings of protein enzymes, it is attractive to engineer synthetic materials to mimic the activity of lactonase. Herein, an efficient lactonase‐like Zn−Nx−C nanomaterial was synthesized by tuning the coordination environment around zinc atoms to mimic the active domain of lactonase for catalytical interception of bacterial communications in biofilm formation. The Zn−Nx−C material could selectively catalyze 77.5 % hydrolysis of N‐acylated‐L‐homoserine lactone (AHL), a critical bacterial quorum sensing (QS) signal in biofilm construction. With the continuous construction and development of the BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS), its positioning performance is constantly being improved. In this study, the positioning performance of different frequency combinations of BDS-3/GPS/Galileo in the Asia-Pacific region was investigated. The precision products of Wuhan University and the observation data of nine MGEX stations were selected to compare and analyze the B1I\B1C\B2a\B3I and L1\E1 pseudo-range Standard Point Positioning (SPP) and B1IB2a\B1IB3I\B1CB2a\B1CB3I\B2aB3I\L1L2\E1E5a precise point positioning (PPP) performance, while B1I\B3I\L1 SPP and B1IB3I PPP were investigated using BDS-2 with QZSS supplemented with BDS-3 and GPS. The experimental results showed that the positioning precision of BDS-3/GPS/Galileo SPP was in the order of B1C > E1 > L1 > B1I > B3I > B2a, and it was not significantly improved after BDS-2 and QZSS were added. Moreover, for the PPP of different frequency combinations, the convergence speed was in the order of L1L2 > B1IB3I > E1E5a > B1CB3I > B1CB2a > B1IB2a > B2aB3I. After adding BDS-2, B1IB3I improved by about 11% in static mode and 27% in kinematic mode, which was similar to the L1L2 frequency combination. The positioning precision of different frequency combinations of BDS-3/GPS/Galileo was B1IB3I > B1CB3I > L1L2 > E1E5a > B1B2a > B1CB2a > B2aB3I. In static mode, after adding BDS-2, B1IB3I did not show significant improvement in the plane direction, and showed ~61% improvement in the elevation direction, and ~67% in the three-dimensional (3D) direction. In kinematic mode, after adding BDS-2, B1IB3I was improved by about 16% in the E direction, the N direction did not show significant change, it improved by ~38% in the U direction and by ~70% in the 3D direction. In general, the positioning performance of BDS-3 was slightly better than those of GPS and Galileo in the Asia-Pacific region, and it is believed that with the continuous development of BDS, its positioning performance will surely be improved further. Suicide among college students, as a subgroup of young people, has received increasing attention in recent years. Exploring the determination of protective and risk factors related to suicide is imperative to understanding the reason for committing suicide and how to take action. We examined loneliness and school belonging as predictors of suicide risk (viz., suicidal behavior and depression) in college students in China by a cross-sectional study. In total, 393 college students participated in the study. The results of hierarchical regression analyses that controlled for age and sex indicated that school belonging buffers the negative effects of loneliness on suicidal behavior and depression. Evidence of a significant loneliness × school belonging interaction as a predictor of both suicidal behavior and depression was found. The present findings show that school belonging represents a positive psychological resource that should be considered in understanding suicide risk among college students in China. • Concentrations of ∑16 PAHs in soils across China were found to be 74.4-17,700 ng/g. • Soil PAH concentrations were highest in Northeast China. • Over 20% of soil samples were with hazard quotient > 1 for PAHs. • Gaiella occulta might be an indicator for PAH contamination of soil. Soil contamination by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) has raised great environmental concerns. However, the information on national wide distribution of PAHs in soil as well as their effect on soil bacterial community are limited. In this study, 16 PAHs were measured in 94 soil samples collected across China. The total concentration of 16 PAHs (∑PAHs) in soil ranged from 74.0 to 17,657 ng/g (dry weight basis), with a median value of 200 ng/g. Pyrene was the major soil PAH, with a median concentration of 71.3 ng/g. Soil samples from Northeast China had a higher median concentration of ∑PAHs (1,961 ng/g) than those from other regions. Petroleum emission and wood/grass/coal combustion were potential sources for soil PAHs based on diagnostic ratios and positive matrix factors analysis. A nonnegligible ecological risk (hazard quotients > 1) was found in over 20% of soil samples analyzed and the highest median total HQs value (8.53) was found in soils from Northeast China. The effect of PAHs on bacterial abundance, α-diversity, and β-diversity was limited in the soils surveyed. Nevertheless, the relative abundance of some members in genera Gaiella, Nocardioides , and Clostridium was significantly correlated with the concentrations of some PAHs. Multi-angle polarimetric (MAP) measurements contain rich information for characterization of aerosol microphysical and optical properties that can be used to improve atmospheric correction in ocean color remote sensing. Advanced retrieval algorithms have been developed to obtain multiple geophysical parameters in the atmosphere–ocean system, although uncertainty correlation among measurements is generally ignored due to lack of knowledge on its strength and characterization. In this work, we provide a practical framework to evaluate the impact of the angular uncertainty correlation from retrieval results and a method to estimate correlation strength from retrieval fitting residuals. The Fast Multi-Angular Polarimetric Ocean coLor (FastMAPOL) retrieval algorithm, based on neural-network forward models, is used to conduct the retrievals and uncertainty quantification. In addition, we also discuss a flexible approach to include a correlated uncertainty model in the retrieval algorithm. The impact of angular correlation on retrieval uncertainties is discussed based on synthetic Airborne Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter (AirHARP) and Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter 2 (HARP2) measurements using a Monte Carlo uncertainty estimation method. Correlation properties are estimated using autocorrelation functions based on the fitting residuals from both synthetic AirHARP and HARP2 data and real AirHARP measurement, with the resulting angular correlation parameters found to be larger than 0.9 and 0.8 for reflectance and degree of linear polarization (DoLP), respectively, which correspond to correlation angles of 10 and 5 ∘. Although this study focuses on angular correlation from HARP instruments, the methodology to study and quantify uncertainty correlation is also applicable to other instruments with angular, spectral, or spatial correlations and can help inform laboratory calibration and characterization of the instrument uncertainty structure. Physical experiments provide the best representation of foundation behaviour in any environmental conditions offshore; however, they are very costly, especially since the on-site conditions vary. Hence, it is not a cost-effective approach. In contrast, numerical modelling is relatively cheaper, but requires long computation time and a high level of expertise to perform a successful numerical calculation. The main objective of this paper is to develop a simple and fast response analysis that requires less computational time and expertise. First, an analytical model is developed to study the dynamic behaviour of the pile by extending the beam on an elastic foundation. Second, the analytical results are verified by using the finite-element software, Abaqus. Finally, a parametric study is carried out with the established numerical calculation model to investigate the modal shapes of the pile model, limit states of the offshore wind turbine (OWT) and pile capacity for different loading conditions and aspect ratios. The proposed analytical model demonstrates a degree of error less than 10%, indicating great reliability and the potential for practical application. The parametric results indicate that the OWT is more likely to fail by yielding than buckling and the soil resistance at the pile periphery is highly affected by the aspect ratio. Background: To research the impact of a Chinese traditional medicine (Citrus aurantium L.) on gastric cancer proliferation and mice gastrointestinal motility. Materials and Methods: The intestinal transit rates (ITRs) and gastric emptying (GE) values in mice with experimentally induced gastrointestinal motility dysfunction (GMD) and in normal mice were calculated to research the in vivo influences of C. aurantium L. on gastrointestinal motility. CCK-8 was used to examined the effect of C. aurantium L. on gastric cancer proliferation. Results: The GE and ITR values were dose-dependently and notably added by C. aurantium L. in normal ICR mice (with 1 g/kg C. aurantium L., ITR values: 53.3% ± 0.8% versus 64.3% ± 0.9% and 53.3% ± 0.8% versus 79.8% ± 2.0%, p < 0.01; GE values: 59.3% ± 0.8% versus 70.1% ± 1.9% and 59.9% ± 0.8% versus 69.9% ± 2.1%, p < 0.01). Compared with the normal mice, the GMD mice's ITRs were notably declined; however, C. aurantium L. could dose-dependently and significantly reverse it. In addition, in the model of delayed GE induced by loperamide and cisplatin, C. aurantium L. administration reversed the GE deficit. Furthermore, C. aurantium L. significantly reduced gastric cancer proliferation. Oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) originate in the ventricular zone (VZ) of the brain and spinal cord, and their primary function is to differentiate into oligodendrocytes (OLs). Studies have shown that OPCs and OLs are pathologically and physiologically heterogeneous. Previous transcriptome analyses used Bulk RNA‐seq, which compares average gene expression in cells and does not allow for heterogeneity. In recent years, the development of single‐cell sequencing (scRNA‐seq) and single‐cell nuclear sequencing (snRNA‐seq) has allowed us to study an individual cell. In this review, sc/snRNA‐seq was used to study the different subpopulations of OL lineage cells, their developmental trajectories, and their applications in related diseases. These techniques can distinguish different subpopulations of cells, and identify differentially expressed genes in particular cell types under certain conditions, such as treatment or disease. Extreme event-based synchronicity is a specific measure of similarity of extreme event-like time series. It is capable to capture the nonlinear interactions between climatic extreme events. In this study, we proposed a modified extreme event-based synchronicity measure that incorporates two types of extreme events (positive and negative) simultaneously in climate anomalies to characterize the synchronization and time delays. Statistical significance of the modified extreme event synchronization measure is tested by Monte-Carlo simulations. The applications of the modified extreme event-based synchronicity measure on synthetic time series verified that it was superior to the traditional event synchronicity measure. Both synchronous and antisynchronous features between climate time series could be captured by the modified measure. It is potentially applied in investigating the interrelationship between climate extremes and climate index or constructing complex networks of climate variables. Alginate-based microcapsule has becoming a promising carrier for probiotic encapsulation due to the improved stress resistant ability. Besides the physical protection of microcapsules, bacterial quorum sensing (QS) is another prominent factor affecting microbial stress resistance in microcapsules. In the present study, Vibrio harveyi cells were entrapped and proliferated into cell aggregates in alginate-based microcapsules. The microenvironment composed of cells and biomacromolecules was regulated by the diameter, alginate concentration and core state of microcapsule. Then the effect of microenvironment on bacterial QS capacity was investigated, including bioluminescence, autoinducers (AIs) production and QS related genes expression. The highest diameter of 1200 μm and highest alginate concentration of 2.0 % w/v under the investigation range presented strongest QS capacity, and the maintenance of hydrogel core could enhance bacterial QS. Moreover, the mechanism analysis revealed that the formed biofilm on the surface of cell aggregates hampered the outward transfer of AIs, and the local AIs inside the cell aggregates induced stronger bacteria QS by close-range interaction. As a whole, these findings are helpful to guide the technological development and optimization of microencapsulated probiotics with stronger stress resistance, and the potential application in food, dairy, wastewater treatment and biosensor. Production forecasting plays an important role in development plans during the entire period of petroleum exploration and development. Artificial intelligence has been extensively investigated in recent years because of its capacity to extensively analyze and interpret complex data. With the emergence of spatiotemporal models that can integrate graph convolutional networks (GCN) and recurrent neural networks (RNN), it is now possible to achieve multi-well production prediction by considering the impact of interactions between producers and historical production data simultaneously. Moreover, an accurate prediction not only depends on historical production data but also on the influence of neighboring injectors' historical gas injection rate (GIR). Therefore, based on the assumption that introducing GIR can enhance prediction accuracy, this paper proposes a deep learning-based hybrid production forecasting model that is aimed at considering both the spatiotemporal characteristics of producers and the GIR of neighboring injectors. Specifically, we integrated spatiotemporal characteristics and GIR into an attribute-augmented spatiotemporal graph convolutional network (AST-GCN) and gated recurrent units (GRU) neural network to extract intricate temporal correlations from historical data. The method proposed in this paper has been successfully applied in a well pattern (including five producers and seven gas injectors) in a low-permeability carbonate reservoir in the Middle East. In single well production forecasting, the error of AST-GCN is 63.2%, 37.3%, and 16.1% lower in MedAE, MAE, and RMSE compared with GRU and 62.9%, 44.6%, and 28.9% lower compared with RNS. Similarly, the accuracy of AST-GCN is 15.9% and 35.8% higher than GRU and RNS in single well prediction. In well-pattern production forecasting, the error of AST-GCN is 41.2%, 64.2%, and 75.2% lower in RMSE, MAE, and MedAE compared with RNS, while the accuracy of AST-GCN is 29.3% higher. After different degrees of Gaussian noise are added to the actual data, the average change in AST-GCN is 3.3%, 0.4%, and 1.2% in MedAE, MAE, and RMSE, which indicates the robustness of the proposed model. The results show that the proposed model can consider the production data, gas injection data, and spatial correlation at the same time, which performs well in oil production forecasts. Theoretical pixel-wise retrieval uncertainties based on error propagation have been used to quantify retrieval performance and determine the quality of data products. However, standard error propagation techniques in high-dimensional retrievals may not always represent true retrieval errors well due to issues such as local minima and the nonlinear dependence of the forward model on the retrieved parameters near the solution. In this work, we analyze these theoretical uncertainty estimates and validate them using a flexible Monte Carlo approach. The Fast Multi-Angular Polarimetric Ocean coLor (FastMAPOL) retrieval algorithm, based on efficient neural network forward models, is used to conduct the retrievals and uncertainty quantification on both synthetic HARP2 (Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter 2) and AirHARP (airborne version of HARP2) datasets. In addition, for practical application of the uncertainty evaluation technique in operational data processing, we use the automatic differentiation method to calculate derivatives analytically based on the neural network models. Both the speed and accuracy associated with uncertainty quantification for MAP retrievals are addressed in this study. Pixel-wise retrieval uncertainties are further evaluated for the real AirHARP field campaign data. The uncertainty quantification methods and results can be used to evaluate the quality of data products, as well as guide MAP algorithm development for current and future satellite systems such as NASA's Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) mission. Three water soluble polysaccharides named SUSP-1, SUSP-2 and SUSP-3 from Selaginella uncinata (Desv.) Spring were purified, which contained different contents of galactose, arabinose, mannose, glucose and xylose, and SUSP-3 had large amount of galacturonic acid. Structural identification showed that the backbone structure of SUSP-1 was composed of (1 → 2)-α-D-Manp, (1 → 4)-α-D-Manp and (1 → 4)-β-D-Xylp. The main chains of SUSP-2 were (1 → 3)-α-D-Galp and (1 → 4)-α-D-Glcp, and SUSP-3 had two fragments and the main chains were (1 → 4)-α-D-GalpA and (1 → 4)-β-D-Xylp. Furthermore, their anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated. THP-1 monocytes were induced into macrophages by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetat (PMA) and then stimulated by lipopolysaccharides (LPS). The data showed that compared with model groups, SUSP-1, SUSP-2 and SUSP-3 significantly inhibited ROS levels, promoted IL-10 expression, suppressed the mRNA levels of IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β, and effectively blocked LPS binding to CD14 receptor to reduce inflammation. A donor–acceptor type polymer of poly [2,7-(9,9-dioctyl)-fluorene-alt-7H-benzimidazo-[2,1-a]benzo[de]isoquinolin-7-one] (PF-BBO) based on benzimidazole groups was synthesized. This material was incorporated into data storage devices that exhibited good data storage characteristics. In order to improve the storage properties of the device, Au NPs were compounded in this material. We observed an increase in the ratio of switching current for the device with the PF-BBO/Au NP composite as the active layer. The device comprising 8 wt% Au NPs demonstrated optimal storage performance with a switching current ratio of 1:3.4 × 102:1.0 × 105 and a threshold voltage of −0.40 V/−0.85 V, respectively. The number of cycle times of this device was over 3000, which indicates excellent stability. Developing thermal management fabrics with good energy storage and multistimuli responsive properties is important for regulating the body temperature in complex environment. Herein, the intelligent nonwoven membranes were fabricated via a coaxial electrospinning method, resulting in a core-sheath structure with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) as core and polyurethane (PU) as sheath. Additionally, polypyrrole (PPy) with good light absorption ability and electrical conductivity was deposited onto the surface of the PU@PEG electrospun fibers via electrochemical polymerization. The PPy layer enabled the membranes to respond quickly to sunlight and electrical stimuli. The membranes could heat up to 86 °C under simulated sunlight within 200 s or produce remarkable electrothermal effect under a low voltage input of only 1 V, exhibiting efficient energy conversion and storage performances. The photothermal and electrothermal conversion effect could be easily adjusted by controlling the polymerization time of PPy. Therefore, the multifunctional membranes with high latent heat, good mechanical properties as well as excellent photothermal/electrothermal conversion ability are promising in personal thermal management applications. In order to address the excessive utilization of river sand resources in Inner Mongolia, an investigation is being conducted on the utilization of wind-blown sand and machine-made sand for the production of mixed sand concrete. A study is conducted to examine the influence of including mixed sand in concrete on its mechanical qualities, working performance, and erosion resistant durability. The findings suggest that when the proportion of wind-blown sand in the mixed sand mixture increases, the compressive strength of the mixed sand concrete exhibits a general pattern of initially increasing and subsequently dropping. At a ratio of 1:1 between wind-blown sand and machine-made sand, there is a maximum point. Nevertheless, the capacity for stretching under tension, resilience, and the strength of the connection all demonstrate a consistent decline. The wind-blown sand content of 50 % in the mixed sand is the critical value. When the wind-blown sand content exceeds 50 %, the tensile deformation capacity, toughness, and bond strength experience a steep decline. Utilizing a combination of different types of sand diminishes the efficiency of concrete. Nevertheless, the efficacy of concrete can be enhanced by modifying the water-cement ratio and the quantity of water-reducing admixtures. It is worth mentioning that although the work performance can be improved, there might be a little reduction in the mechanical qualities of the concrete. The erosion depth in mixed sand concrete has a growth rate that is 0.027 mm/d lower compared to ordinary river sand concrete under erosion conditions. The compressive erosion resistance coefficient and saturated surface dry water absorption rate show significantly reduced damage in mixed sand concrete compared to standard river sand concrete. Moreover, when erosion-freeze-thaw coupling circumstances are present, the structural deterioration of mixed sand concrete is less significant in comparison to ordinary river sand concrete. By using a mixture of sand, the concrete's ability to withstand erosion is improved, resulting in a longer lifespan. Nowadays, international resource environments are increasingly confined and controlled. There is a shortage of natural fine aggregates (sand), a conflict between supply and demand, and a global sand panic. The use of alternative materials to natural sand must be sought. The annual output of copper tailing sand in China reached more than 300 million tons. However, the resource utilization rate was only 8.2 %, which was bulk solid waste and had reuse value. The properties of copper tailing sand with fine aggregates were investigated using a specific particle size sieving method, which was used to investigate the effect of different dosages on the performance of concrete pavements. Based on the results, tailing sand gradually replaced river sand at 0 %, 60 %, 70 %, 80 %, 90 %, and 100 % of mixed sand. When the partial particle size of copper tailing sand was incorporated at 70 % (corresponding to the full particle size of 35 %), the flexural and compressive strengths of concrete had the highest values of 5.3 MPa and 51.1 MPa, respectively. The flexural strength was much higher than the design strength of concrete pavements of 4.0 MPa. In mercury intrusion porosimetry tests, the critical pore size of the concrete at the optimum dosage tended to move in the direction of small pores. When the partial particle size of tailing sand was incorporated at 70 %, the pores were filled due to the physical filling effect of tailing sand. On the other hand, the pores were filled due to the secondary hydration reaction of very fine particles of tailing sand with the cement hydration product, Ca(OH) 2 , to generate C-S-H colloids. As a result, the pores in the concrete were refined, the microstructures were compacted, and its impermeability and mechanical properties were better than conventional concrete. In the context of the global energy crisis and climate change, solar district heating systems are an essential technology that can mitigate this problem. To accelerate the transition to sustainability, a proven solar district heating system and an analysis method are needed to serve as a role model. For this purpose, a techno-economic analysis method is proposed in this study. It consists of a bi-directional long short-term memory method for correcting outlier data and a balanced method for energy and exergy analyses. The solar district heating system with large-scale thermal storage in Dronninglund, Denmark, is investigated in detail. The design of this system is centered on an integrated control strategy that synchronizes the solar collector loop, the energy storage loop, and the heating load loop to improve overall efficiency. The results show an increase in solar collector efficiency to 41 %, thermal storage efficiency to 89 %, and a coefficient of performance to 1.74 for the absorption heat pump. This integration increases the system's coefficient of performance dramatically to 2.9, with a renewable energy percentage of 77 %. Exergy analysis shows a storage exergy of 68 % and a heat pump exergy of 49 %, which suggests that the system has a highly efficient energy conversion. The annual heating demand for the industrial and residential branches is 7,450 MWh and 28,100 MWh, respectively, which are covered by solar (42 %), biomass oil (35 %), and natural gas (23 %). The economic assessment shows that the net present value could rise from −5.5 million euros over 10 years to 15.2 million euros over 40 years, indicating long-term economic advantages. The system achieves 122 kg/MWh of carbon reduction with a 0.92 carbon neutrality factor, which is carbon neutral. This study provides a compelling case for deploying large-scale solar heating systems, offering a robust analysis method and insightful findings for technological developments and economic optimizations. Diatom–diazotroph associations (DDAs) are one of the most important symbiotic dinitrogen (N2) fixing groups in the oligotrophic ocean. Despite their capability to fix N2, ammonium (NH4+) remains a key nitrogen (N) source for DDAs, and the effect of NH4+ on their metabolism remains elusive. Here, we developed a coarse-grained, cellular model of the DDA with NH4+ uptake and quantified how the level of extracellular NH4+ influences metabolism and nutrient exchange within the symbiosis. The model shows that, under a fixed growth rate, an increased NH4+ concentration may lower the required level of N2 fixation and photosynthesis, and decrease carbon (C) and N exchange. A low-NH4+ environment leads to more C and N in nutrient exchange and more fixed N2 to support a higher growth rate. With higher growth rates, nutrient exchange and metabolism increased. Our study shows a strong effect of NH4+ on metabolic processes within DDAs, and thus highlights the importance of in situ measurement of NH4+ concentrations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a major type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which could induce bloody stool, diarrhea, colon atrophy and eventually lead to colorectal cancer. The conventional daily oral administration of drugs only relieve the inflammatory response of colon in the short term, Biological agents such as antibody drugs has proven its efficiency in inhibiting colitis, while the low drug bioavailability means that large doses of antibodies are required, ultimately causing systemic toxicity. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) has significant advantages over antibody drugs in terms of safety and efficacy, and it have been widely applied as potential candidates for a variety of inflammation-related diseases. However, oral delivery of siRNA fails to overcome the degradation of the gastrointestinal environment to produce a significant therapeutic effect in ulcerative colitis. Herein, we design the hybrid delivery system that the siRNA loaded MOF encapsulated in the sodium alginate particles to overcome the barriers in the oral process. Results: The hybrid delivery system (SA@MOF-siRNATNFα) was successfully constructed, and it could not only survive the low pH environment in the stomach and small intestine, but also taken up more by inflammatory macrophages, as well as released much more MOF-siRNATNFα. Moreover, SA@MOF-siRNATNFα tended to enriched and infiltrated into local colon tissues. As a result, SA@MOF-siRNATNFα significantly reduced the progression of colitis, of which the treated mice did not experience significant weight loss, bloody stools and diarrhea. Conclusion: We confirmed that the formulation of hydrogel–metal-organic framework hybrids could improve the protection of incorporated payload in the gastric and early small intestine, enhancing the delivery of MOF-siRNA to colon. The redox state is a crucial determinant of the maturation transition of cardiomyocytes in vivo. Mitochondria, the primary site of superoxide generation, are very sensitive to various stimulations, including oxygen and nutrient supply. How mitochondrial superoxide affects the differentiation and development of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cardiac myocytes (iPS-CMs) is not completely clear. To address the questions, we monitored the superoxide level during the differentiation and development of human iPS-CMs using MitoSOX. Mitochondria-targeted antioxidant Mito-TEMPO was used to treat hiPS-CMs in the differentiation period. We found that mitochondrial superoxide generation was dramatically enhanced during the differentiation and early development of iPS-CMs. Increased oxidative stress induced oxidative damage to macromolecules in iPS-CMs, such as lipids, proteins, and DNA. Mito-TEMPO protected mitochondrial functions, alleviated oxidative damage to lipids, proteins, and DNA and improved cellular structure and fatty acid utilization. In this study, nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) models arising from the extreme value theory have been fitted to summer high temperature extremes (HTEs) at 321 meteorological stations over China. The seasonality and six prominent atmospheric teleconnection patterns in Northern Hemisphere are incorporated in the NHPP models reflecting the non-stationarity of occurrence rate in Poisson process of HTEs. In addition, Poisson regression model has also been applied to link HTEs and these teleconnection patterns. The linkages of HTEs and teleconnection patterns have been identified in both NHPP modeling and Poisson regression. Composite maps of differences of 500-hPa geopotential height and wind fields in the positive and negative phases of teleconnection patterns are constructed to show the impacts of atmospheric circulation patterns on extreme heat events. The spatial pattern of the associated anticyclonic or cyclonic circulations with teleconnection patterns partly explains the spatial variability of the occurrences of summer HTEs over China. The main goal of this paper is to prove that the involution monoid (C 3 , *) is non-finitely based. Therefore, in contrast, combining with previous results yields that the involution Catalan monoid (C n , *) is finitely based if and only if n = 1. The Kiselman monoid K n generated by n elements is also considered. Although the semigroups C n and K n have recently been shown to satisfy the same identities, it is unknown if the same result holds when they are considered as involution semigroups. The solar preheating wall provides an effective solution to the conflict between the requirement for fresh air and the need for heat conservation in winter by preheating fresh ventilation air. In this paper, a study of the glazed solar preheating collector wall is carried out by numerical simulation with the aim of improving heat collection efficiency through structural optimization. The influence of the environment as well as its range of applications are investigated. The characteristics of the internal flow and temperature distribution are obtained to facilitate the structural analysis. The influence of air volume and structural parameters on thermal efficiency is investigated, providing a good reference for structural design optimization. In addition, it is observed that the exergy efficiency of the optimized design is 1.3 times higher than that of the conventional solar wall, while the thermal efficiency is 15% higher than traditional ones. The heat loss rate is reduced by 40% in high wind and extremely cold regions compared to that of the unglazed one. The maximum supply percentage can reach 69.4% and the temperature rise is approximately 20 °C. Finally, a parametric investigation is carried out on different functional buildings, and an optimal structure in Xi'an is given as a reference. The energy collection and transfer efficiency increase with the increase of air volume, but the energy saving rate decreases. The results indicate that this solar wall is ideal for buildings with low fresh air demand, such as single residences and small offices. It also has a considerable preheating effect on high fresh air demand ones. • GSPW can significantly increase both collector energy and exergy efficiency. • Corrugated plate promote vortex formation to enhance heat transfer. • Air volume and structural factors have a strong coupling effect on thermal efficiency. • GSPW has low heat loss in cold and high side wind regions compared to UTC. • GSPW can effectively eliminate 2–5 times of infiltration heat load by fresh air preheating.
