The article discusses the translations of the Commedia (complete and partial), published in Argentina and Russia between 2015 and 2021. In both cases we deal with re-translations: not only the Commedia was translated several times in each national context, but some of these translations had a canonical status. The article starts from the theoretical proposals of modern traductology, Weltliteratur, and cultural transfers studies to propose a reflection on the reasons that determined the renewed interest in Dante in the two countries. After a review of the national Dantean panoramas, we identified similarities and differences in the contemporary fortunes of the poem, and the most important trends in its translation and reception are discussed. The versions of Jorge Aulicino, Alejandro Crotto, Claudia Fernández Speier, Olga Sedakova, Roman Dubrovkin, and Kristina Landa are considered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Literature has the ability to function as a reflection of the self and its reality. The objective of this paper is to illuminate this capacity through a parallel reading of the Divine Comedy of the florentine poet and the Adán Buenosayres of the argentine writer Leopoldo Marechal. The reason for choosing these works is the ease with which they give an account of the life and spirit of their writers. By analyzing Virgil's original journey on the one hand and Marechal's reinterpretation of it in the descent to Cacodelphia on the other, we will be able to discover both Dante and Marechal spiritual quest, their vision of the human intellect and their current concern for their country. Through these similarities we will give a renewed look at the capabilities of literature and at the same time we will allow ourselves to deepen into the effects that the florentine poet had on universal literature. The aim of this work is to study the (in)tense relations between Church and Chivalry in the counties of Hainaut and Flanders throughout the 12th century. In this process, we will examine the current historiographic relevance of Alain Guerreau's theory that the Church (ecclesia) was the "dominant institution" of Feudal Europe. We will consider some of the main arguments that refute this theory of "ecclesial Feudalism", especially one that highlights the role of Chivalry. Among the sources analyzed for the understanding of the historical context of Hainaut and Flanders in the 12th century, the texts written by Galbert of Bruges (†ca. 1134) and Gilbert of Mons (ca. 1150-1224) will be essential. The Divine Comedy, written by Dante Alighieri, is an influential work, since over time, it continues to be reread, revisited and reproduced in different ways, such as: movies, paintings, bestsellers, theaters among other manners. Due to the expanse of its meaning, many scholars make use of it to create other works, as an example the philosopher Giorgio Agamben, who drew upon its underlying aspects to retake it and make philosophical studies. For being continuously read, reread, retaken, influencing many writers and thought-provoking for many studies about it, it is still alive in time, what makes it a canonical work.
