- Abstract
As pillarized clays are materials that are obtained through the insertion of chemical compounds that act as pillars of molecular dimension between like lamellae of the clay, keeping them as far apart and giving rise to micropores. The pillarization process confers microporosity to the system, creating materials containing pores of dimensions complementary to the zeolites. Thus, if the pillarizing agents, homogeneously distributed on a base of lights, a twodimensional channel system will be created. From this system with regular distribution of porosity can be developed new processes involving organic and inorganic compounds with higher yields. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
