Despite perceived postracial ideologies of American sport, players, coaches, fans, and media have been complicit in reaffirming racial hierarchies through racist microaggressions and remarks. Such racist violations are commonly exposed in the current moment of widespread social media engagement and social justice activism. Subsequently, many violators issue apologies—often employing the conjunction "if"—which hinges the apology on the condition of the targeted group taking offense. We call these conditional apologies nonapology apologies and argue that they fall within a racializing apologia framework, devaluing and questioning the place of those offended in American society and sport, and reinforcing White supremacy. This study examined the effectiveness of various electrical stimulation methods in alleviating symptoms and enhancing the quality of life for women with urinary incontinence. We conducted a systematic search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, PEDro, EMBASE, and ClinicalTrials.gov from inception to August 2024. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that meet following criteria were included, urinary continence in women, using various electric stimulation treatments and evaluated outcomes related to symptoms, quality of life. Thirty RCTs were subjected to risk of bias assessment, certainty of evidence, and network meta-analysis. Statistical analysis was performed using a random-effects model, with continuous variables expressed as standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Percutaneous tibial stimulation (SMD − 1.86, 95% CI − 2.77 to − 0.96) and intravaginal stimulation (SMD − 0.97, 95% CI − 1.55 to − 0.38) significantly reduced symptom severity. Additionally, percutaneous tibial, intravaginal, transcutaneous tibial, and trans-sacral stimulations improved quality of life. Percutaneous tibial stimulation was the most effective, followed by intravaginal stimulation. Summary: Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) is a major oil crop that significantly contributes to the Indonesia's and Malaysia's economic growth. However, oil palm processing for oil extraction generates substantial waste, such as palm kernel cake, palm‐pressed fibre, oil palm empty fruit bunches and palm oil mill effluent, which pose noticeable environmental challenges. This review explores green extraction techniques for palm waste processing, which include microwave‐assisted extraction, deep eutectic solvents, ultrasound‐assisted extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, enzyme‐assisted extraction and subcritical water extraction. The potential for industry scaling, mechanisms, applications and challenges of each technique used for oil palm waste are discussed. Microwave‐assisted extraction, ultrasound‐assisted extraction and supercritical fluid extraction are particularly promising for large‐scale production, while deep eutectic solvents paired with ultrasound‐assisted extraction show the potential to improve extraction efficiency. This review also reveals that green extraction techniques are sustainable alternative to conventional techniques by effectively recovering valuable compounds from waste with reduced environmental impact. Additionally, the diverse applications of bioactive compounds (vitamin E, phytosterols, phenolics, polyphenols and flavonoids) extracted from oil palm waste in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and other industries are also presented. Valuable components such as cellulose, dietary fibres and bioactive peptides derived from the waste can be applied in food coatings, high‐protein products and drug delivery systems. Biosorbents, biofuels and biodegradable products derived from the waste would also provide environmental benefits. Future research should focus on optimising the green extraction techniques for industrial use to promote responsible production and circular waste management to foster health and environmental safety. Purpose: This study aims to examine the association between women on board and business performance. It also aims to investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and female directors on stock prices, including the function of female directors in moderating the CSR–market performance link that ultimately provides valuable insights into the impact of gender diversity on corporate boards. Design/methodology/approach: Data from US publicly listed firms between 2000 and 2018 were collected and analysed using OLS regression, median regression, M-estimator regression and MM-estimator regression at 70% and 95% efficiency. In this study, firm market value was measured through Tobin's Q, board diversity with ISS database and CSR strength and concern with the KLD database. Findings: The results indicated that CSR positively impacts market performance by 3.1%, female board representation positively influences market performance by 4.8% and female board members strengthen the CSR–market performance relationship by 1.0% while playing a moderating role. Overall, these studies demonstrated the significance of female boards of directors for enhancing market performance. Research limitations/implications: This study used the data of US-listed firms from 2000 to 2018. The results have contributed to the ongoing discussion about the importance of gender diversity in boards and its influence on firm success. Further research works are suggested to expand the analysis by including other countries or considering additional factors that may influence the association between CSR, board representation of women and market share. Practical implications: This study is essential for investors, legislators and CSR institutions in developed countries. The favourable impact of female board presence on market performance and the enhancement of the CSR–market performance relationship highlight the necessity of encouraging gender diversity on boards of directors and CSR activities. Social implications: This study emphasises the significance of gender balance on corporate boards in solving important social challenges including climate change, resource scarcity and gender equality. Companies can actively assist in addressing global issues and improving the well-being of stakeholders by promoting gender-diverse boards and encouraging CSR efforts. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, this study is the first study demonstrating that gender diversity on corporate boards moderates the significant association between CSR performance and profitability in the USA. By using the recently derived universal discrete imaginary-time propagator of the harmonic oscillator, both thermodynamic and Hamiltonian energies can be given analytically and evaluated numerically at each imaginary time step for any short-time propagator. This work shows that, using only currently known short-time propagators, the Hamiltonian energy can be optimized to the twelfth-order, converging to the ground state energy of the harmonic oscillator in as few as three beads. This study makes it absolutely clear that the widely used second-order primitive approximation propagator, when used in computing thermodynamic energy, converges extremely slowly with an increasing number of beads. The critical role of the human gut microbiota in kidney stone formation remains largely unknown, due to the low taxonomic resolution of previous sequencing technologies. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the gut microbiota using high-throughput sequencing to provide valuable insights and identify potential bacterial species and metabolite roles involved in kidney stone formation. The overall gut bacterial community and its potential functions in healthy participants and patients were examined using PacBio sequencing targeting the full-length 16S rRNA gene, coupled with stone and statistical analyses. Most kidney stones comprised calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate (75%), pure calcium oxalate (20%), and calcium phosphate and magnesium phosphate (5%), with higher content of Ca (130,510.5 ± 108,362.7 ppm) followed by P (18,746.4 ± 23,341.2 ppm). The microbial community structure was found to be weaker in patients' kidney stone samples, followed by patients' stool samples, than in healthy participants' stool samples. The most abundant bacterial species in kidney stone samples was uncultured Morganella, whereas that in patient and healthy participant stool samples was Bacteroides vulgatus. Similarly, Akkermansia muciniphila was significantly enriched in patient stool samples at the species level, whereas Bacteroides plebeius was significantly enriched in kidney stone samples than that in healthy participant stool samples. Three microbial metabolic pathways, TCA cycle, fatty acid oxidation, and urea cycle, were significantly enriched in kidney stone patients compared to healthy participants. Background In bronchiectasis, nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) lung disease (NTM-LD) is a well-known coexisting infection. However, microorganism coisolates and clinical NTM-LD predictors are poorly studied. Methods Patients with bronchiectasis diagnosed by means of computed tomography between January 2017 and June 2020 were screened, using the date of computed tomography as the index date. Those with a major bronchiectasis diagnosis in ≥2 follow-up visits after the index date were enrolled in the study, and NTM-LD occurrence and its association with pneumonia and hospitalization within 1 year were analyzed. Results Of the 2717 participants, 79 (2.9%) had NTM-LD diagnosed. The factors associated with NTM-LD included hemoptysis, postinfectious bronchiectasis, a tree-in-bud score ≥2, a modified Reiff score ≥4, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (adjusted odds ratios, 1.80, 2.36, 1.78, 2.95, and 0.51, respectively). Compared with patients in the non-NTM group, those with NTM-LD had higher rates of hospitalization (15.9% vs 32.9%; P <.001) and pneumonia (9.8% vs 20.3%; P =.003). Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the most common microorganism in those with NTM-LD and those in the non-NTM group (10.1% vs 7.8%; P =.40). However, compared with those in the non-NTM group, Acinetobacter baumannii and Escherichia coli were more prevalent in patients with NTM-LD (0.7% vs 3.8% [ P =.03%] and 1.0% vs 3.8% [ P =.05], respectively). Conclusions Postinfectious bronchiectasis with hemoptysis, higher radiological involvement, and a tree-in-bud pattern were associated with NTM-LD risk. Background: There has been limited data regarding the incidence of anaphylaxis in Asia. We aim to describe patterns in patient characteristics, triggers and clinical presentation of childhood anaphylaxis in Singapore. Methods: This was a retrospective review of emergency electronic medical records of children with anaphylaxis. Patients with the allergy‐related diagnoses of anaphylaxis, angioedema, allergy and urticaria based on ICD‐9 codes were screened. Cases fulfilling the World Allergy Organization criteria for anaphylaxis were included. Results: A total of 1188 cases of anaphylaxis were identified with a median age of 6.3 years. Extrapolating data from the study sites, from 2015 to 2022, the incidence rate of childhood anaphylaxis emergency visits in Singapore doubled from 18.9 to 38.8 per 100,000 person‐years, with an incidence rate ratio (IRR) of 2.06 (95% confidence interval [CI] 1.70–2.49). In 2022, the incidence rate of food anaphylaxis was 30.1 per 100,000 person‐years, IRR 2.39 (95% CI 1.90–3.01) and drug anaphylaxis was 4.6 per 100,000 person‐years, IRR 1.89 (95% CI 1.11–3.25). The incidence rate in children aged 0–4 years quadrupled during the study period. Common triggers were egg (10.4%), peanut (9.3%), tree nut (8.8%), milk (8%), shellfish (7.8%) and non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drug (4.4%). The majority (88.6%) of patients were treated with intramuscular adrenaline. Total number of allergy‐related visits did not increase over time between 2015 and 2019. Rates of severe anaphylaxis, namely anaphylactic shock and admission to high‐dependency and intensive care, did not increase over time, with a mean incidence of 1.6, IRR 0.85 (95% CI 0.40–1.83) and 0.7, IRR 1.77 (95% CI 0.54–5.76) per 100,000 person‐years, respectively. Conclusion: While the number of emergency visits due to childhood anaphylaxis has increased, the number of cases of allergy‐related visits, anaphylactic shock and anaphylaxis requiring high‐dependency and intensive care did not rise. Medical advances prolonging life have led to more permanent pacemaker implants. When pacemaker implantation (PMI) is commonly caused by sick sinus syndrome or conduction disorders, predicting PMI is challenging, as patients often experience related symptoms. This study was designed to create a deep learning model (DLM) for predicting future PMI from ECG data and assess its ability to predict future cardiovascular events. In this study, a DLM was trained on a dataset of 158,471 ECGs from 42,903 academic medical center patients, with additional validation involving 25,640 medical center patients and 26,538 community hospital patients. Primary analysis focused on predicting PMI within 90 days, while all-cause mortality, cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality, and the development of various cardiovascular conditions were addressed with secondary analysis. The study's raw ECG DLM achieved area under the curve (AUC) values of 0.870, 0.878, and 0.883 for PMI prediction within 30, 60, and 90 days, respectively, along with sensitivities exceeding 82.0% and specificities over 81.9% in the internal validation. Significant ECG features included the PR interval, corrected QT interval, heart rate, QRS duration, P-wave axis, T-wave axis, and QRS complex axis. The AI-predicted PMI group had higher risks of PMI after 90 days (hazard ratio [HR]: 7.49, 95% CI: 5.40-10.39), all-cause mortality (HR: 1.91, 95% CI: 1.74–2.10), CVD mortality (HR: 3.53, 95% CI: 2.73–4.57), and new-onset adverse cardiovascular events. External validation confirmed the model's accuracy. Through ECG analyses, our AI DLM can alert clinicians and patients to the possibility of future PMI and related mortality and cardiovascular risks, aiding in timely patient intervention. Recent research has underscored the efficacy of Lactobacillus plantarum (L. plantarum) in managing obesity among healthy adults. This meta-analysis reviewed randomized controlled trials (RCTs) from major databases up to May 2024, focusing on the effects of L. plantarum on body weight, body mass index (BMI), and metabolic parameters. This study has been registered in PROSPERO (number: CRD 42024531611). The analysis of nine studies revealed significant weight reduction and BMI decreases with L. plantarum supplementation compared to a placebo. Notably, using more than two strains together enhanced these effects. Improvements were also observed in abdominal fat and inflammatory markers such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP). This meta-analysis synthesizes evidence from nine RCTs to test the hypothesis that L. plantarum supplementation effectively reduces body weight and BMI in healthy adults compared to a placebo. The decision to treat children with benign epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (BECTS) using antiseizure medications (ASM) is controversial. Our goal is to compare the effect of ASM treatment on the alteration of electroencephalographic (EEG) functional connectivity and power across four frequency bands in children with BECTS. Children with BECTS with two-year follow-up were retrospectively divided into ASM versus non-ASM groups. The network properties of the EEGs as based on network-based statistic and graph theory were evaluated by the following indices: global efficiency, clustering coefficient, betweenness centrality, and nodal strength in four frequency bands (delta, theta, alpha, and beta). EEG power including absolute power (AP) and relative power (RP) was analyzed in four frequency bands. In children with BECTS with ASM treatment, there was no significant change in EEG connectivity across all bands before and after two years of ASM. In children with BECTS without ASM treatment, there was a significant increase of global efficiency, clustering coefficient, and nodal strength but not the betweenness centrality in the delta band after two years of follow-up. A decrease in AP in the delta and theta bands and a decrease in RP in the theta band were found in the ASM group after two years of treatment. Our results suggest that ASM may play a role in modulating the development of increasing overall brain connectivity and in downregulating overt synaptic activity, but not intrinsic focal connectivity, in the early years of BECTS. The direct integration of the harmonic oscillator path integral obscures the fundamental structure of its discrete, imaginary time propagator (density matrix). This work, by first proving an operator identity for contracting two free propagators into one in the presence of interaction, derives the discrete propagator by simple algebra without doing any integration. This discrete propagator is universal, having the same two hyperbolic coefficient functions for all short-time propagators. Individual short-time propagator only modifies the coefficient function's argument, its portal parameter, whose convergent order is the same as the thermodynamic energy. Moreover, the thermodynamic energy can be given in a closed form for any short-time propagator. Since the portal parameter can be systematically optimized by matching the expansion of the product of the two coefficients, any short-time propagator can be optimized sequentially, order by order, by matching the product coefficient's expansion alone, without computing the energy. Previous empirical findings on the convergence of fourth and sixth-order propagators can now be understood analytically. An eight-order convergent short-time propagator is also derived. Poly(para‐xylylene) (PPX) is a robust and biocompatible coating material that is widely used in various applications, including electronics, aerospace and defense materials, automotive materials, and biomaterials. In this progress report, recent developments in PPX technology ranging from the advancement of physical chemistry properties and structural properties for device integration to the transformation of 3D monolith materials of PPX with controls in outer and inner structures at the micro‐ and nanometer scales are highlighted. Based on emerging chemistry studies on [2.2]paracyclophanes, which are primarily used precursors to synthesize PPX via vapor deposition polymerization, functionalization, and the creation of a wide variety of functional PPX derivatives are demonstrated without resistance. Widely used as an interface coating material, PPX is processed to form integrated structural materials and has already been found to be useful in the market as part of electronic and medical implant products. Using a newly innovated transformation to fabricate PPX through templates (metal‐organic frameworks, liquid crystal, ice crystal), 3D monoliths, nanoscale particles, hierarchical and gradient interior structures, and dynamically transformable shapes at the nanoscale are demonstrated. HOPS 87 is a Class 0 protostellar core known to harbor an extremely young bipolar outflow and a hot corino. We report the discovery of localized, chemically rich regions near the bases of the two-lobe bipolar molecular outflow in HOPS 87 containing molecules such as H2CO, 13CS, H2S, OCS, and CH3OH, the simplest complex organic molecule (COM). The locations and kinematics suggest that these localized features are due to jet-driven shocks rather than being part of the hot-corino region encasing the protostar. The COM compositions of the molecular gas in these jet-localized regions are relatively simpler than those in the hot-corino zone. We speculate that this simplicity is due to either the liberation of ice with a less complex chemical history or the effects of shock chemistry. Our study highlights the dynamic interplay between the protostellar bipolar outflow, disk, inner-core environment, and the surrounding medium, contributing to our understanding of molecular complexity in solar-like young stellar objects. This study focuses on the analytical identification and quantification of one type of spurious responses in the context of response history analysis. The spurious response is caused by linear interpolation of input loads. Through analytical derivations and numerical simulations, it is shown that the identified spurious response is fully caused by the interpolation and can significantly affect both damping and inertial forces. Furthermore, the spurious response is not bounded, thus, resistance-based designs could potentially be non-conservative. The findings are applicable to (non-)linear MDOF systems. AbstractDrug efflux transporters, especially those belonging to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily, play a crucial role in various drug resistance issues, including multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer and treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in individuals with major depressive disorder. Key transporters in this context include P-glycoprotein (P-gp), multidrug resistance protein 1 (MRP1), and breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP). This study aimed to investigate the modulatory effects of polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate (Tween 20) on these efflux transporters in vitro and to evaluate its potential for overcoming drug resistance in two models: an in vitro cancer MDR model and an in vivo TRD model. The findings indicated that 0.001% Tween 20 significantly inhibited the efflux actions of all three transporters. Additionally, 0.005% Tween 20 effectively reversed resistance to paclitaxel, vincristine, doxorubicin, and mitoxantrone in various cancer MDR cell lines. In the in vivo depression-like behavior model, 0.01% Tween 20 markedly enhanced the antidepressant and anxiolytic effects of fluoxetine. Given its strong inhibitory effects on P-gp, MRP1, and BCRP, along with its capacity to reverse drug resistance both in vitro and in vivo, Tween 20 is a compelling candidate for tackling transporter-mediated drug resistance. Although service robots have been extensively studied recently, few empirical investigations have focused on the luxury setting. Targeting the setting of luxury hotels, in this study, expectation-confirmation theory and dual-congruity theory are combined to examine the impact of robot anthropomorphism on consumers’ expectations of service robots. The findings obtained from a sample of 556 respondents indicated that robot anthropomorphism increased consumers’ perceived social capability, performance expectancy, and perceived importance. Furthermore, luxury-technology fit and task-technology fit mediated the effects of social capability, performance expectancy, and perceived importance on the intention to use robotic services. Furthermore, the moderating role of anxiety toward robots in strengthening the effect of luxury-technology fit on the intention to use robotic services was revealed. The findings contribute to an enhanced understanding of consumer psychology in the context of advanced service technologies, offering valuable insights for the strategic implementation of service robots at luxury hotels. Strongyloides stercoralis is a soil‐transmitted helminth which is distributed predominately throughout tropical and subtropical regions and is considered a neglected tropical disease. Due to low larval output, traditional microscopic methods lack sensitivity, especially in areas of low endemicity. Serological assays present an opportunity to study the epidemiology of S. stercoralis in areas of low endemicity such as Jamaica. The current study evaluated the seroprevalence of S. stercoralis in a selected subpopulation in Jamaica. An analysis was conducted on 311 archived serum samples previously submitted for investigating viral infections during a fever epidemic between 2014 and 2015. Randomly selected, anonymized sera were tested for the presence of S. stercoralis IgG antibodies using the AccuDiag Strongyloides IgG ELISA Kit. Data including age, sex, clinical diagnosis, and the geographic location of sample submission were recorded to delineate trends in demographic variables. The seropositivity rate of S. stercoralis was 15.43%. The rate among females and males was 16.45% and 14.47%, respectively (χ2 = 0.2339, p = 0.629). The highest rate was found in middle adulthood (31–50 years) (26.53%; 13/49). The seroprevalence of S. stercoralis was significantly highest in a rural Regional Health Authority (33.33%; 14/42) and least within an urban Health Authority (9.71%; 17/175). Exposure to S. stercoralis appears to be highest in the rural Regional Health Authorities with an island‐wide exposure rate of 15.43%. The rapid ELISA testing method for the detection of IgG antibodies to S. stercoralis used in this study may be useful as part of a combined approach to elucidate the epidemiology of this soil‐transmitted parasite in Jamaica. However, prior research has made limited attempts to holistically summarize existing knowledge on the application of digital assessments in medical education through literature reviews. This paper presents a scoping review of previous studies on the application of digital assessments in medical education.The following databases were searched: PubMed, Embase (Ovid), Scopus, PsycINFO, CINAHL, and Web of Science, in February of 2024. The inclusion criteria for the review were: (1) articles that investigated digital assessments in medical education, (2) presented original research, (3) were in English, and (4) were published from the year 2012 forward.Of the 1553 articles identified, we analyzed 89 articles from recognized digital databases. The review results provide a comprehensive understanding of prior research related to the use of digital assessments in medical education, including information on existing studies, attitudes, benefits, and challenges, as well as recommendations for the implementation of digital assessments in the field of medical education.This review reports the current literature surrounding digital assessment applications in medical education, highlighting predominantly positive perceptions and significant advantages. The CARLO (cold ablation robot-guided laser osteotome) is a compact device with integrated multiple sensory, steering and safety checking elements. A multi-center study was performed to evaluate the CARLO device for the linear part of midface osteotomy in 28 patients. Feasibility, success rate, safety, performance and experience of the surgeons were assessed and evaluated. All 28 procedures were completed with CARLO without falling back to the conventional methods, giving a technical success rate of 100%. For 27 (96%) cases, procedural success was achieved with cutting lines deviation less than 2 mm. For 25 procedures, the CARLO-cutting was conducted smoothly. In the other 3 cases, some minor difficulties related to the reference markers were reported. For 18 procedures, no change for the cutting path was necessary. For the other 10 cases, cut path was adapted. Intraoperative re-planning was possible, easy and quick without significant delay of the procedures. No CARLO-related adverse events were recorded. Especially, there was no unexpected and unusual bleeding during the CARLO-conducted osteotomy. The time needed for the registration ranged from 1 to 12 min (median = 4). The CARLO-cutting lasted for 5 to 21 min (median = 7). The present study demonstrated feasibility, simplicity, safety, reliability and accuracy of CARLO for the linear part of midface osteotomy. This meta-analysis aimed at investigating the therapeutic effects of probiotics against the symptoms of depression in children and adolescents as well as to identify the potential confounders. Following PRISMA guidelines, major databases were searched for randomized controlled trials focusing on effects of probiotics against the symptoms of depression in children and adolescents to analyze the effect size (ES) for primary outcomes (i.e., improvement in depressive symptoms) expressed as standardized mean difference (SMD) and odds ratios (ORs) for continuous and categorical variables, respectively, with 95% confidence interval (CI). Meta-analysis of five studies (692 participants, mean age = 7.33 years, treatment duration 8–104 weeks) demonstrated no significant improvement in depressive symptoms in subjects receiving probiotics (SMD = 0.04, 95% CI: -0.33 to 0.41, p = 0.84, five studies, 692 participants). Subgroup analysis also showed no significant improvement associated with probiotic use relative to controls in the subgroup of studies focusing on individuals diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders (SMD = -0.11, 95% CI: -0.73 to 0.51, p = 0.72, three studies, 452 participants) and that recruiting the general population (SMD = 0.24, 95% CI: -0.43 to 0.91, p = 0.48, two studies, 240 participants). However, high levels of heterogeneity were found in both our primary results (I2 = 77%, p = 0.001) and subgroup analyses for those with neurodevelopmental disorders (I2 = 84%, p = 0.002) and the general population (I2 = 79%, p = 0.03). The results did not support the use of probiotics for relieving depressive symptoms compared with controls in children and adolescents diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders or in the general population. Nevertheless, given the high level of heterogeneity across the included trials and a lack of studies focusing on those with diagnoses of anxiety or depression in the current meta-analysis, further large-scale clinical investigations are required to elucidate the therapeutic potential of probiotics against depressive symptoms in these populations, especially in those diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders or depression. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a popular research topic, but there have not been comprehensive discussions on CSR evaluation in the banking sector. The purpose of this study is to propose a two-stage analysis combining the modified Delphi method (MDM) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) in order to construct a model for evaluating banks’ CSR. First, we use MDM to select and determine the interdependence of the criteria and then employ ANP to obtain their weights and to rank the alternatives. The results show that 5 criteria and 18 sub-criteria need to be considered in CSR evaluation. The most important criterion and sub-criterion are bank governance and regulatory compliance, respectively. The evaluation model constructed herein can be taken as a decision-making guide for evaluating banking organizations’ CSR and to help promote CSR development in China’s financial industry. The 2016 Amsterdam Placental Workshop Group Consensus Statement recommends sampling a block of the placenta close to the umbilical cord insertion site (UCIB) for histopathological evaluation. This piece of placenta at the umbilical cord insertion is presumed to give a better yield of inflammation (if present). We aimed to investigate the utility of the UCIB in the detection of maternal and/or fetal inflammatory responses (MIR and/or FIR), in comparison with the other sections of the placental parenchyma. This is a retrospective cross‐sectional study including all placentas with histologic chorioamnionitis. The histopathological slides of placentas were reviewed as per Amsterdam consensus guidelines. Diagnostic performance of UCIB in identifying MIR and/or FIR, relative to the other placental sections, was assessed. UCIB revealed diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic accuracy of 79.2% (95% CI: 74.2–83.6%), 100.0% (95% CI: 95.6–100.0%), and 83.6% (95% CI: 79.5–87.2%), respectively, in the detection of FIR, while showing a low sensitivity of 52.6% (95% CI: 47.5–57.6%) in detecting MIR. In 59 (24.6%) cases, FIR was not seen in the corresponding placental parenchymal sections but was detected in the UCIBs. Marine fungi are promising sources of bioactive natural products. The harsh marine conditions favour the production of natural products with unique structures and functions. The different classes of bioactive metabolites produced by these marine fungi can exhibit cytotoxic, apoptotic, anti-proliferative, antiangiogenic, and autophagy inducing effects on a plethora of cancer cell lines. This review, based on research articles that have been published from 2002 to 2023, provides a concise overview of the anticancer properties of metabolites from marine Aspergillus fungal species. A total of 204 papers are reviewed and 208 most active cytotoxic molecules are reported from Aspergillus. The source as well as the growth medium utilised for the production of cytotoxic metabolites are listed. The mechanism of action of some compounds, which could be used as potential drugs, is also reported. These fungi, under optimal growth conditions, have immense potential as anticancer agents, produce novel metabolites with specific structures that can kill a panel of human cancer cells. However, there is a dire need for more clinical trials and understanding of the mechanisms of action of pharmacologically active constituent. Understanding the interactions between older adults and their living spaces is an important research topic within the human dynamics of geographical scholarship because of their implications on the quality of aging. The prevailing theory of aging tends to stress aging in place which associates aging well with the home and community, thus inadvertently privileging residential neighborhoods as the focal point where older adults spend most of their time. Recent studies have, however, suggested that older adults also age in (social) networks that extend beyond their neighborhoods' physical locations. The need to incorporate perspectives on aging in networks has challenged the prioritization and the enforcement of absolute (or physical) space in GIS software. This study investigates the potential for integrating four top‐level spaces (absolute, relative, relational, and mental) to capture different dimensions of older adults' everyday lives. By leveraging on a dataset of older adults in Singapore, this study demonstrates how the four spaces combined facilitates understanding of aging, specifically their activity spaces, that would otherwise be achieved in a fragmented manner. Sixteen pairs of patients with gastric cancer and their spouse caregivers, hospitalized in the oncology department of a tertiary hospital in Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, from March to July 2023, were chosen for semi-structured face-to-face interviews. The recorded data were transcribed within 24 h following each interview and supplemented with field notes. Directed content analysis was employed for the qualitative content analysis.The interview data revealed three themes and six subthemes. Theme 1: The impact of negative patient-spouse communication, with the subthemes being (i) a decline in couples’ relationship intimacy and (ii) reduced psychological adaptation. Theme 2: The impact of positive patient-spouse communication, with the subthemes being (i) enhanced couples’ relationship intimacy and (ii) increased psychological adaptation. Background and Purpose: Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treating chronic intractable pain in the back, trunk, or limbs through stimulation of the dorsal column. Numerous studies have used swine as an analog of the human spinal cord to better understand SCS and further improve its efficacy. We performed high‐resolution imaging of the porcine spinal cord with intact dura mater using micro‐computed tomography (μCT) to construct detailed 3‐dimensional (3D) visualizations of the spinal cord and characterize the morphology of the dorsal and ventral rootlets. Methods: We obtained spinal cords from Yorkshire/Landrace crossbred swine (N = 7), stained samples with osmium tetroxide, and performed μCT imaging of the T12‐T15 levels at isotropic voxel resolutions ranging from 3.3 to 50 μm. We measured the anatomical morphology using the 3D volumes and compared our results to measurements previously collected from swine and human spinal cords via microdissection techniques in prior literature. Results: While the porcine thoracic‐lumbar spinal cord is a popular model for SCS, we highlight multiple notable differences compared to previously published T8‐T12 human measurements including rootlet counts (porcine dorsal/ventral: 12.2 ± 2.6, 26.6 ± 3.4; human dorsal/ventral: 5.3 ± 1.3, 4.4 ± 2.4), rootlet angles (porcine ventral‐rostral: 161 ± 1°, ventral‐caudal: 155 ± 6°, dorsal‐rostral: 148 ± 9°, dorsal‐caudal: 142 ± 6°; human ventral‐rostral: 170 ± 3°, ventral‐caudal: 22 ± 10°, dorsal‐rostral: 171 ± 3°, dorsal‐caudal: 15 ± 7°), and the presence and count of dorsal rootlet bundles. Conclusions: Detailed measurements and highlighted differences between human and porcine spinal cords can inform variations in modeling and electrophysiological experiments between the two species. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of accelerations and angular velocities obtained by an inertial measurement unit (IMU) attached to a cane between older people with and without physical frailty. Community-dwelling older people walked at a comfortable speed using a cane with a built-in IMU. Physical frailty was assessed using exercise-related items extracted from the Kihon Check List. The efficacy of five machine learning models in distinguishing older people with physical frailty was investigated. This study included 48 older people, of which 24 were frail and 24 were not. Compared with the non-frail participants, the older people with physical frailty had a small root mean square value in the vertical and anteroposterior directions and angular velocity in the anteroposterior direction (p < 0.001, r = 0.36; p < 0.001, r = 0.29; p < 0.001, r = 0.30, respectively) and a large mean power frequency value in the vertical direction (p = 0.042, r = 0.18). The decision tree model could most effectively classify physical frailty, with an accuracy, F1 score, and area under the curve of 78.6%, 91.8%, and 0.81, respectively. The characteristics of IMU-attached cane usage by older adults with physical frailty can be utilized to effectively evaluate and determine physical frailty in their usual environments. People with hearing impairments often face increased risks related to traffic accidents due to their reduced ability to perceive surrounding sounds. Given the cost and usage limitations of traditional hearing aids and cochlear implants, this study aims to develop a sound alert assistance system (SAAS) to enhance situational awareness and improve travel safety for people with hearing impairments. We proposed the VAS-Compass Net (Vehicle Alert Sound–Compass Net), which integrates three lightweight convolutional neural networks: EfficientNet-lite0, MobileNetV3-Small, and GhostNet. Through employing a fuzzy ranking ensemble technique, our proposed model can identify different categories of vehicle alert sounds and directions of sound sources on an edge computing device. The experimental dataset consisted of images derived from the sounds of approaching police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, and car horns from various directions. The audio signals were converted into spectrogram images and Mel-frequency cepstral coefficient images, and they were fused into a complete image using image stitching techniques. We successfully deployed our proposed model on a Raspberry Pi 5 microcomputer, paired with a customized smartwatch to realize an SAAS. Our experimental results demonstrated that VAS-Compass Net achieved an accuracy of 84.38% based on server-based computing and an accuracy of 83.01% based on edge computing. In recent years, third-generation solar cells have experienced a remarkable growth in efficiency, making them a highly promising alternative energy solution. Currently, high-efficiency solar cells often use top electrodes fabricated by thermal evaporation, which rely on high-cost and high energy-consumption vacuum equipment, raising significant concerns for mass production. This study develops a method for fabricating silver electrodes using the screen-printing process, aiming to achieve solar cell production through an all-solution coating process. By selecting appropriate blocking-layer materials and optimizing the process, we have achieved device efficiencies for organic photovoltaics (OPVs) with screen-printed silver electrodes comparable to those with silver electrodes fabricated by thermal evaporation. Furthermore, we developed a method to cure the silver ink using near-infrared (NIR) annealing, significantly reducing the curing time from 30 min with hot air annealing to just 5 s. Additionally, by employing sheet-to-sheet (S2S) slot-die coating, we scaled up the device area and completed module development, successfully verifying stability in ambient air. Occupationally acquired COVID-19 is a hazard for healthcare workers (HCWs). In four hospitals of the Metro North Hospitals and Health Service in Queensland, Australia, we invited HCWs to report the nature of any anaesthesia interactions with COVID-19-positive and COVID-19-suspect patients. This was to assist workforce planning in future pandemics. Data collection consisted of three phases; 1) participating HCWs recorded details of episodes of care (EOCs) with COVID-19-positive or COVID-19-suspect patients; 2) these HCWs were invited to complete a follow-up survey about their own health status regarding COVID-19 infections; 3) electronic health records were used to assess patient demographics, infectious status and outcomes. Between 21 March 2020 and 17 May 2022, 63 anaesthesia HCWs reported 90 EOCs with 67 unique patients. The median (interquartile range (IQR)) age of the HCWs was 40.5 years (34–46); 55% (34/62) were male, 62% (39/63) were consultants and 21% (13/63) were registrars. The median (IQR) age of patients was 39 (28–63) years. Personal protective equipment (PPE) was deemed to be appropriate by the HCWs in (86/88) 98% of the EOCs. Twenty-four HCWs (38%) responded to a follow-up survey. Of 12 HCWs who subsequently tested positive to COVID-19, only four had cared for a COVID-19-positive patient in the two weeks prior to their diagnosis. Most responding HCWs perceived they contracted COVID-19 in the community, experiencing mild illness. Regular repair of normative mother‐toddler conflict is required for relational health; yet, we still need improved delineation of regulation strategies that can promote child cooperation. Contemporary conceptualizations of positive parenting propose that structure and autonomy support each facilitate children's optimal engagement; however, toddler studies rarely address their joint impact and conditional moderation. This observational study examined both dimensions in predicting cooperation among 106 U.S. 30‐month‐olds and their primarily European–American mothers during a demanding request situation. We also assessed mutuality, an indicator of mother‐child relationship quality, from two situations with minimized power differentials to explore whether it moderated associations. Regression analyses confirmed the unique and additive impact of both maternal behavioral dimensions in predicting toddler cooperation and also an interaction effect such that the positive association between maternal autonomy support and toddlers' level of cooperation was accentuated depending on the dyads' mutuality. Results suggest that maternal structure and autonomy support may serve as effective approaches for enlisting or maintaining child cooperation during hierarchical negotiations, and that suboptimal relationship mutuality magnifies toddlers' responses to maternal levels of autonomy support. Objective: This study was performed to evaluate the quality characteristics of reducednitrite boiled pork sausages (BPSs) with paprika oleoresin solution (POS) to compensate for the reduced sodium nitrite (NaNO2). Methods: POS was prepared by diluting paprika oleoresin with sunflower seed oil at a ratio of 1:20. BPSs were subjected to four different treatments: reference (REF), BPS added with 150 ppm NaNO2; control (CTL), BPS added with 37.5 ppm NaNO2; treatment 1 (TRT1), BPS added with 37.5 ppm NaNO2 and 0.1% POS; treatment 2 (TRT2), BPS added with 75 ppm NaNO2 and 0.1% POS). Results: The pH values of CTL were lower than those of other treatments. The a* values of TRT1 were higher than those of CTL, and those of REF were lower than those of TRT1 and TRT2. The b* values of TRT1 and TRT2 were higher than those of REF and CTL. The total plate counts of CTL were the highest among all treatments, and Enterobacteriaceae counts of CTL and TRT1 on the 14th day were higher than those of REF and TRT2. Conclusion: The combination of 75 ppm NaNO2 and 0.1% POS to BPS during storage had an antimicrobial effect similar to that of adding 150 ppm NaNO2. Objective: In the context of an aging, vital physician workforce, there is clear value in establishing a specialized neuropsychological normative dataset for the evaluation of late career physicians practicing clinical medicine. Methods: Physicians aged 60 and over in active clinical practice at 3 major medical centers in North Carolina were recruited to complete a comprehensive neuropsychological test battery. Results: The sample (n = 100) was aged 60–78. Reflecting medical school distributions for this age group, the sample was mostly male (76%) and was fairly racially homogenous (96% White). To amplify utility of the dataset, data were obtained for several measures across neurocognitive domains. Results are presented in percentile bands stratified by age and sex where needed, and regression formulas are presented for predictive precision for measures where both age and sex predicted performance. Important distinctions between our sample, the general population, and current comparative demographic norms were also confirmed. Conclusions: Here we present a preliminary normative dataset on a comprehensive neuropsychological test battery for late career physicians, the HEATS norms for highly educated aging treaters. These standards facilitate accurate, objective cognitive measurement as a part of clinical diagnostic and capacity evaluations. Co-norming the battery in a single, specialized sample further augments its utility in characterizing cognition. Future work to enhance the dataset to be maximally applicable across demographic groups is anticipated, as is research to explore the relationship between these standards and professional performance outcomes. Themed spaces and theme parks constitute of significant human-based desires and linguistic discourses that stabilises/destabilises their social identities and materialities. This paper draws on a relational materialist perspective to examine Singapore's longstanding themed space, Haw Par Villa, to offer insights into its social and material stability and instabilities. Relational materialism facilitates observations and analysis of interactions of humans and their material worlds on the same ontological plane where human's agencies are de-centred. Social and material objects are seen to operate in mutually constitutive fashions. The development of a site/theme park and its larger country context are conceptualised here as 'assemblages' using DeLanda's brand of assemblage theory to reveal the operations of human-based 'desires' alongside material agencies. Specifically, the desires of the founder and the key discourses related to the founder's name helped constitute and stabilise the social identity and materiality of the Haw Par Villa through its eventful history of physical destruction, reconstruction, rebranding and reimagining. Despite his eventual non-involvement with Haw Par Villa's management due to his passing, the founder's desires and discourses linger on in various forms, resulting in subsequent attempts to rework the identity and materiality of this themed space failing if the attempts are not congruent on some level with the founder's desires and discourses. This resulted in the failure of first, the state and, subsequently, private endeavours in re-constituting the themed space. Considerable uncertainty remains about the optimum position in the ego–network structure to pursue innovation. We investigate how ego-network density moderates the effect of ego-network structure on two types of innovation. We sample 92 firms in cultural and creative industries and analyse our data using hierarchical regression analysis. We find that ego-network density positively moderates the effect of betweenness centrality and structural holes on exploratory innovation but negatively moderates the effect of closeness and degree centrality on exploratory innovation. Ego-network density also positively moderates the effect of betweenness centrality on exploitative innovation. The COVID‐19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown measures in many countries have increased young people's engagement with digital media. The digital divide goes beyond just having devices and includes differences in how well young people can use digital technology. In this paper, we shift our attention beyond screen time to the nature of the adolescents' digital media use. Our study looks at two adolescents from different backgrounds to understand how their digital media experiences differ in viewing, play, and reading. We add to the literature on the influence SES has on the ways in which adolescents are using digital media during the COVID‐19 pandemic in Singapore. Our study was conducted during the pandemic and participants were selected using convenience stratified sampling and the snowballing method. Our findings show that the adolescents' digital viewing was motivated by the need to be a part of an affinity group and that while the viewing was passive, it served a social function to develop a sense of connectedness with peers. We also found that adolescents from high socioeconomic backgrounds tended to engage in more digital reading compared to their peers from low socioeconomic backgrounds. In addition, while the adolescents' digital play was shaped by their socioeconomic realities, they were able to make the most from their circumstances and demonstrated both creativity and savviness. By demonstrating the disparities in digital media experiences between two adolescents from contrastive socioeconomic backgrounds, we shed light on the implications of the digital divide, where both equitable access to digital resources and the development of digital literacies necessary to navigate the digital landscape is currently lacking. The educational approach known as positive education emerged from positive psychology and frequently attributes its conception of flourishing to Aristotelian eudaimonia. This is a point of contention between scholars who see positive psychology's flourishing as an epithet of Aristotelian virtues and others who have identified critical divergences between the philosophical foundations of positive psychology and Aristotle's normative ethics. Few scholars have examined whether adolescent understandings of flourishing reflect Aristotelian eudaimonia, and whether this is different in positive education students. This paper explores notion of the good life through the writings of 226 adolescents, 93 of whom attend a school that has implemented positive education. These are analysed through an Aristotelian lens, finding more similarities than differences between the groups. Aim: To evaluate the association between changes in haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and the concurrent incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Method: We conducted a retrospective cohort study among T2DM patients with HbA1c measurement after T2DM diagnosis between August 2009 and September 2010. The patients were classified into six subgroups based on baseline HbA1c (<7%; 7%–7.9%; ≥8%) and age (<65; ≥65 years), and then clustered into classes by HbA1c trajectory and CVD incidence over the 12‐year follow‐up period using joint latent class mixture models. We explored the HbA1c trajectories and CVD incidences in each latent class. Multinomial logistic regression was used to compare the baseline characteristics among different latent classes. Results: A total of 128 843 T2DM patients were included with a median follow‐up period of 11.7 years. Ten latent classes were identified in patients with baseline HbA1c ≥ 8% and age <65 years, while seven classes were identified in the other five groups. Among all the identified latent classes, patients with fluctuating HbA1c trajectories, characterized by alternating periods of increase and decrease, had higher CVD incidences. Male patients, and patients with higher baseline HbA1c and use of antidiabetic drugs were more likely to have a fluctuating HbA1c trajectory. More specifically, patients aged < 65 years with younger age or a smoking habit, and patients aged ≥ 65 years with a longer duration of T2DM were more likely to have a fluctuating HbA1c trajectory. Conclusion: We found that T2DM patients with fluctuating HbA1c trajectories could have a higher CVD risk. Summary Most dietary fibres improved rheological properties but negatively impacted digestibility. However, the effect of psyllium husk powder (PHP) on digestibility has not been yet reported. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the rheological properties and digestibility of chicken myofibrillar protein (MP) containing different concentrations of PHP (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%) at 0.45 m NaCl. To assess the rheological properties of MP, viscosity, hydrophobicity, disulphide bond, SDS–PAGE, cooking yield and gel strength were evaluated. The addition of PHP enhanced water retention capacity and protein–protein interactions in the MP system. To evaluate the effect of PHP on digestibility, protein digestibility, SDS–PAGE and microstructure observations were performed. It was confirmed that the addition of PHP improved the protein digestibility of MP by measuring the differences in protein content (%). This paper explores the relationship between Britian’s abolition of slavery in its Caribbean colonies in 1838 and its instigation of the First Opium War with China in 1840. In so doing, it works against the occlusion of this relationship in the study of British imperialism despite the centrality of these events to the birth of global systems of free trade and free labour. It draws on the parliamentary debates and correspondence of British Foreign Secretary Lord Palmerston to analyze Britain’s negotiation of anti-slavery efforts with Haiti and its trade of Indian opium with China. It argues that these negotiations position British masculine civility against less-civilized foreign others in ways that legitimate the use of maritime force. This logic of imperial civility produces contradictory effects by demanding an end to the brutality of African enslavement while condoning the devastation of Asian opium addiction enacted in the name of free trade. This study aims to present age-stratified prevalence of women with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) but without cystocele and predict detrusor underactivity (DU) or bladder outlet obstruction (BOO). Between 2005 and 2020, we reviewed women who visited the medical center with LUTS but without cystocele. Positive voiding dysfunction (VD) symptoms were defined as any one or more of the positive descriptions of weak urinary stream, intermittency, strain to urination, and sensation of not emptying. A total of 1,886 women were included in this study. 189 (10.0%) women were diagnosed with DU, and 77 (4.1%) women had BOO. Multivariate logistic regression analysis found that voided volume and VD symptoms were independent predictors for BOO. ROC curve analyses could predict BOO by voided volume ≤ 220 mL derived from uroflowmetry and the presence of VD symptoms with an area under a curve of 0.83. Age and voided volume could predict DU with an area under a curve of 0.82. We found a higher percentage of BOO in women with positive VD symptoms. A non-invasive uroflowmetry with voided volume (≤ 220 mL) and the presence of VD symptoms can predict BOO. DU could be predicted by age and voided volume. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Advances in additive manufacturing technologies have enabled the fabrication of intricate bioscaffolds with tailored geometry, porosity, and material composition, offering new possibilities in biomedical engineering, drug screening, and cell scaffold applications. This study introduces a novel printable flexible soft ceramic material prepared by a combination of silica sol–gel processing and crosslinking of a dissolvable polyvinyl‐trimesic acid polymeric network. The material's printability is showcased by creating 3D 90° grid scaffolds using an in‐house extrusion‐based printer, demonstrating a flexible response to compressive stress with minimal deformation over multiple cycles. Supercritical extraction and drying transform the printed structure into a highly porous, ultralow‐density scaffold for cell culture. The MDCK cells cultured within the 3D biocompatible ceramic scaffold exhibit uniform growth and proliferation, maintaining viability for up to 35 days. When exposed to the environmental toxin, mercury, MDCK cells in a 2D culture show susceptibility at a low lethal concentration (0.075 mg·L−1), while the 3D cell culture displays enhanced tolerance (4.0 mg·L−1). Serpentinites associated with metamafic and metaplagiogranitic rocks occur sporadically within metasedimentary schists in the Yuli belt. Such metaigneous rocks are considered to represent ophiolitic protoliths and some contain high-pressure (HP) metamorphic minerals or assemblages. However, the origin and metamorphism of these serpentinites have long been a mystery. This study systematically investigates the four major serpentinite-bearing exposures at the Fengtien, Wanjung, Tsunkuanshan, and Chinshuichi. The results reveal that the serpentinites are of two different protoliths on the basis of relict chromian spinel composition. Cr-spinel compositions of the Fengtien and Tsunkuanshan samples are characterised by moderate Cr# [Cr/(Cr + Al)] (0.45–0.57), relatively high Mg# [Mg/(Mg+Fe2+)] (0.59–0.79), but low Fe3+# [Fe3+/(Fe3++Cr+Al)] (0.02–0.06), reflecting an abyssal peridotite type protolith. By contrast, Cr-spinel compositions of the Wanjung and Chinshuichi samples show high Cr# (up to 0.74) and Fe3+# (0.03–0.08), but low Mg# (<0.6), indicating a forearc mantle peridotite origin. Peak metamorphic conditions of the serpentinites are represented by the assemblage of antigorite + magnetite + chlorite + olivine + diopside, which is estimated as up to 550°C but the pressure cannot be constrained quantitatively. Based on field relations, it is inferred that the serpentinites, associated HP metaigneous rocks, and garnet-bearing metasedimentary schists were metamorphosed isofacially. Despite two origins, the peridotitic protoliths were all subjected to hydration and subduction processes. We suggest that precursors of the serpentinites, metaigneous rocks, and metasedimentary schists were juxtaposed and metamorphosed at intermediate to great depths (~35–55 km) of a subduction zone. AbstractHypomethylating agents (HMA) and venetoclax (VEN) are commonly used in patients with IDH-mutated (IDHm) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) ineligible for induction chemotherapy. While prior studies demonstrated high response and survival rates with HMA/VEN in IDHm AML, the impact of treatment modifications in real-world settings is unclear. We retrospectively reviewed 89 IDHm AML patients treated with HMA/VEN from January 2018 to June 2023. CR/CRi rates were 76% in newly diagnosed (ND) and 55% in relapsed/refractory (R/R) patients, and median overall survival was 29.2 months (ND) and 17.1 months (R/R), respectively. Treatment modifications were common. Early VEN reductions were associated with lower response rates but not worse survival. Prolonged cycles were not associated with worse response rates or survival. Significant neutropenia and ED visits or unplanned hospitalizations were considerable before and after CR/CRi, though febrile neutropenia decreased afterward. We estimated the potentially eligible populations in prisons and jails, considering various incarceration lengths and health status requirements. We also compared disease prevalence in the incarcerated population with that of the existing civilian Medicaid population.We found that rural and smaller states would experience a disproportionately large proportion of their Medicaid populations to be eligible for prerelease and transition services if new Medicaid eligibility rules were broadly applied. Self‐reported psychological distress was notably higher among incarcerated individuals compared with those currently on Medicaid. The prevalence rates of previously diagnosed chronic hepatitis C and kidney disease were also much higher in the incarcerated population than the existing civilian Medicaid population.We estimated large volumes of potentially Medicaid‐eligible entrants as coverage policy changes take effect over the coming years, particularly impacting smaller and more rural states.
