The article reports on research which was conducted to examine the potential influence varying types of exertion had on the immediate attentional performance of 138 primary school boys and girls. Researchers had the subjects perform three types of exertional exercises. They found that students' attentional performance was effected by exertional exercises and that the three varying types of exertion were found to have different beneficial influences on schoolchildren's immediate cognitive performance.
