Abstract

The article presents a study on the validation of the Mobile Organic Carbon Calibration System (MOCCS) for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It notes that the MOCCS was validated using three different comparisons including the VOCs of methane to expected concentrations, a generated gas-phase benzene measured by TOC and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS), gas phase mixtures to calculated carbon content. It asserts that MOCCS is competent for field deployment as it is completely mobile.
