This paper examines the effect of rotation on thermal instability under Hele-Shaw cell saturated by Casson nanofluid using both linear and nonlinear ways. The nanofluid model incorporates Brownian and thermophoresis diffusion. While conducting an analysis of nonlinear stability numerically using the truncated Fourier series method, analysis of linear stability is performed analytically using the normal mode methodology. The outcomes are all displayed graphically. The results demonstrate that the rotation has dual effect on Hele-Shaw parameter as well as Casson parameter, for higher value of rotation it has destabilizing effect and it stabilizing  the system for lower values of rotation. Lewis number and concentration Rayleigh number promote the onset of convective motion within the system. On the other hand, rotation stabilize the system. Understanding the behavior of heat and mass transportation, the concentration of nanoparticles and fluid phase, utilize the Nusselt number when Nusselt numbers are assessed as a function of time, it is found that the variation of the rotation, Hele-Shaw and Casson parameter has a major influence on the heat and mass transfer. Both steady and unsteady weakly nonlinear analyses are performed to understand the heat transport in the system. It is concluded that the Casson nanofluid parameter has both stabilizing and destabilizing impact depending upon the rate of rotation and therefore this work can be possibly utilized in both places, where heat removal and heat conservation are required. The article aims to study a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with Allee effect II, affecting the functional response with the assumption that the extent to which the environment provides protection to both predator and prey is the same. The model has been studied analytically as well as numerically, including stability and bifurcation analysis. Compared with the predator-prey model without Allee effect, it is found that the weak Allee effect II can bring rich and complicated dynamics, such as the model undergoes to a series of bifurcations (Homoclinic, Hopf, Saddle-node and Bogdanov-Takens). The existence of Hopf bifurcation has been shown for models with (without) Allee effect and the local existence and stability of the limit cycle emerging through Hopf bifurcation has also been studied. In this paper, a Holling-Tanner predator-prey model with ratio-dependent functional response and non-linear prey harvesting is analyzed. The mathematical analysis of the model includes existence, uniqueness and boundedness of positive solutions. It also includes the permanence, local stability and bifurcation analysis of the model. The ratio-dependent model always has complex dynamics in the vicinity of the origin; the dynamical behaviors of the system in the vicinity of the origin have been studied by means of blow up transformation. The parametric conditions under which bionomic equilibrium point exist have been derived. Further, an optimal harvesting policy has been discussed by using Pontryagin maximum principle. The effect of throughflow and temperature modulation on rotating porous medium is in- vestigated. Weakly nonlinear flow model is considered to study heat transfer with oscillatory mode of convection. Heat transfer is measured in terms of the Nusselt number, which is governed by the non--autonomous complex Ginzburg--Landau equation. Both concepts of rotation and throughflow are used as an external mechanism to regulate heat transfer. The amplitude and frequency of modula- tion show significant effect on heat transport. Throughflow has duel effect on heat transfer depending its direction. The outflow enhances and inflow diminishes the heat transfer. Similarly high rotation rates promotes heat transfer and low rotation rates diminish heat transfer. Further, the effect of mod- ulation on mean Nusselt number is discussed. A study of thermal instability driven by buoyancy force is carried out in an initially quiescent infinitely extended horizontal rotating fluid layer. The temperature at the boundaries has been taken to be time-periodic, governed by the sinusoidal function. A weakly nonlinear stability analysis has been performed for the oscillatory mode of convection, and heat transport in terms of the Nusselt number, which is governed by the complex form of Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE), is calculated. The influence of external controlling parameters such as amplitude and frequency of modulation on heat transfer has been investigated. The dual effect of rotation on the system for the oscillatory mode of convection is found either to stabilize or destabilize the system. The study establishes that heat transport can be controlled effectively by a mechanism that is external to the system. Chaotic convection in a viscoelastic fluid saturated porous layer, heated from below, is studied by using Oldroyd’s type constituting relation and in the presence of an internal heat source. A modified Darcy law is used in the momentum equation, and a heat source term has been considered in energy equation. An autonomous system of fourth-order differential equations has been deduced by using a truncated Fourier series. Effect of internal heat generation on chaotic convection has been investigated. Using a complex non-autonomous Ginzburg-Landau equation, we have investigated oscillatory Rayleigh-Bénard convection under Gravity modulation, considering a viscoelastic fluid layer. The influence of (stress) relaxation and (strain) retardation times of viscoelastic fluid on heat transfer has been discussed. The study establishes that the heat transport can be controlled effectively by a mechanism that is external to the system. Modulation has a destabilization effect at low frequencies and a stabilization effect at high frequencies, which increases with increasing the amplitude of modulation. In the present paper, the effect of time-periodic temperature!gravity modulation on the thermal instability in a rotating viscous fluid layer has been investigated by performing a weakly nonlinear stability analysis. The disturbances are expanded in terms of power series of amplitude of modulation, which has been assumed to be small. The amplitude equation, viz., the Ginzburg-Landau equation, for the stationary mode of convection is obtained and using the same, the effect of temperature/gravity modulation on heat transport has been investigated. The stability of the system is studied and the stream lines are plotted at different slow times as a function of the amplitude of modulation, Rossby number, and Prandtl number. It is found that the temperature!gravity modulation can be used as an external means to augment!diminish heat transport in a rotating system. The effect of g-jitter on the buoyancy-driven convection in a binary viscoehstic fluid-saturated porous layer was studied using linear stability analysis. The Rivlin-Ericksen model was employed to characterize the viscoelasticity of the fluid, whereas the porous domain is considered to lack the local thermal equilibrium. The governing equations were converted into a system of ordinary differential equations using the Galerkin method. The stability of the system was investigated using Floquet's analysis and the obtained stability results are presented in detail. In this paper, a study of double diffusive convection in an anisotropic porous layer, saturated with viscoelastic fluid, heated form below, and cooled from above, has been performed; the fluid and solid phases are not in thermal equilibrium. Extended Darcy model, which includes the time derivative term in the momentum equation, has been used. For the fluid and solid phase temperature fields, a two-field model has been used separately for energy equation. Linear stability analysis is performed, using normal mode technique, and the expression for Rayleigh number has been obtained. It is found that small inter-phase heat coefficient has substantial effect on the stability of the system. The criterion for both stationary and oscillatory convection is derived analytically. The effects of various parameters on the stability of the system have been investigated. A weak nonlinear stability analysis based on the truncated representation of Fourier series is performed to find Nusselt number and Sherwood number. Further, we studied the transient behavior of the Nusselt number and Sherwood number by solving the finite amplitude equations using a numerical method. The effect of temperature modulation on the onset of thermal convection in an electrically conducting fluid-saturated-porous medium, heated from below, has been studied using linear stability analysis. The amplitudes of temperature modulation at the lower and upper surfaces are considered to be very small. The porous medium is confined between two horizontal walls and subjected to a vertical magnetic field; flow in porous medium is characterized by Brinkman-Darcy model. Considering only infinitesimal disturbances, and using perturbation procedure, the combined effect of temperature modulation and vertical magnetic field on thermal instability has been studied. The correction in the critical Rayleigh number is calculated as a function of frequency of modulation, Darcy number, Darcy Chandrasekhar number, magnetic Prandtl number, and the nondimensional group number χ. The influence of the magnetic field is found to be stabilizing. Furthermore, it is also found that the onset of convection can be advanced or delayed by proper tuning of the frequency of modulation. Thermal instability in an electrically conducting fluid saturated porous medium, confined between two horizontal walls, has been investigated in the presence of an applied vertical magnetic field and rotation, using the Brinkman model. The temperature gradient between the walls of the fluid layer consists of a steady part and a time-dependent oscillatory part. Only infinitesimal disturbances are considered. The combined effect of permeability, rotation, vertical magnetic field, and temperature modulation has been investigated using Galerkin's method and Floquet theory. The value of the critical Rayleigh number is calculated as function of amplitude and frequency of modulation, Chandrasekhar number, Taylor number, porous parameter, Prandtl number, and magnetic Prandtl number. It is found that rotation, magnetic field, and porous medium all have a stabilizing influence on the onset of thermal instability. Further, it is also found that it is possible to advance or delay the onset of convection by proper tuning of the frequency of modulation of the walls' temperature. In this paper, we have investigated the chaotic behavior of thermal convection in couple stress liquid saturated porous layer subject to gravity, heated from below and cooled from above, based on theory of dynamical system. A low dimensional Lorenz-like model is obtained by using Galerkin-truncation approximation. We found that there is proportional relation between scaled couple stress parameter and rescaled Rayleigh number. This paper studies the effect of local thermal nonequilibrium (LTNE) on the thermal instability in a horizontal layer of a Newtonian nanofluid. The nanofluid layer incorporates the effect of Brownian motion along with thermophoresis. A two temperature model has been used for the effect of LTNE among the particle and fluid phases. The boundary condition involved assumes that the nano-concentration flux is zero thereat, including the effect of thermophoresis. The linear stability is based on normal mode technique and for nonlinear analysis, a minimal representation of the truncated Fourier series analysis involving only two terms has been used.
