Abstract

This article analyzes the image quality, contrast attenuation, and radiation exposure of thoracic computed tomography angiographies (CTA) in children using an automated power injector for contrast medium (CM) application. The study involved 128 children under 18 years old who underwent 160 CTA studies. The results showed that CM can be safely administered via different venous catheters, and CTA using automated power injectors provides high image quality in all pediatric age groups.
