In this paper, the performance of Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes is improved, which leads to reduce the complexity of hard-decision Bit-Flipping (BF) decoding by utilizing the Artificial Spider Algorithm (ASA). The ASA is used to solve the optimization problem of decoding thresholds. Two decoding thresholds are used to flip multiple bits in each round of iteration to reduce the probability of errors and accelerate decoding convergence speed while improving decoding performance. These errors occur every time the bits are flipped. Then, the BF algorithm with a low-complexity optimizer only requires real number operations before iteration and logical operations in each iteration. The ASA is better than the optimized decoding scheme that uses the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. The proposed scheme can improve the performance of wireless network applications with good proficiency and results. Simulation results show that the ASAbased algorithm for solving highly nonlinear unconstrained problems exhibits fast decoding convergence speed and excellent decoding performance. Traditional input–output feedback linearization requires full knowledge of system dynamics and assumes no disturbance at the input channel and no system's uncertainties. In this paper, a model-free active input–output feedback linearization technique based on an improved active disturbance rejection control paradigm is proposed to design feedback linearization control law for a generalized nonlinear system with a known relative degree. The linearization control law is composed of a scaled generalized disturbance estimated by an improved nonlinear extended state observer with saturation-like behavior and the nominal control signal produced by an improved nonlinear state error feedback. The proposed active input–output feedback linearization cancels in real-time fashion the generalized disturbances which represent all the unwanted dynamics, exogenous disturbances, and system uncertainties and transforms the system into a chain of integrators up to the relative degree of the system, which is the only information required about the nonlinear system. Stability analysis has been conducted based on the Lyapunov functions and revealed the convergence of the improved nonlinear extended state observer and the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system. Verification of the outcomes has been achieved by applying the proposed active input–output feedback linearization technique on the single-link flexible joint manipulator. The simulations results validated the effectiveness of the proposed active input–output feedback linearization tool based on improved active disturbance rejection control as compared to the conventional active disturbance rejection control–based active input–output feedback linearization and the traditional input–output feedback linearization techniques. The cantilever vibrator motion system of a carbon nanotube (CNT) is considered the next step in developing cold cathodes for VHF-band nano-antennas. In cases where a nano-antenna is used in noisy environments, this device interferes with other communication devices. In this paper, both the mechanical oscillation and the field electron emission of the CNT cantilever are modeled using the Wiener model. A control method is proposed based on the Wiener model for tracking the reception–emission current and reference emission current of the nano-antenna receiver by transforming the nonlinear control system into a simple linear system with satisfactory performance. In the nano-antenna receiver, the Wiener model offers the suppression of undesirable interference signals and noise to reduce the tracking error between the reception and reference signals by controlling the applied DC voltage as a function of the tracking error. A numerical simulation is implemented to realistically reflect the theoretical results, which show the suppression of the interference noise signal as compared with the conventional control scheme. Multi-Inputs-Multi-Outputs (MIMO) systems are recognized mainly in industrial applications with both input and state couplings, and uncertainties. The essential principle to deal with such difficulties is to eliminate the input couplings, then estimate the remaining issues in real-time, followed by an elimination process from the input channels. These difficulties are resolved in this research paper, where a decentralized control scheme is suggested using an Improved Active Disturbance Rejection Control (IADRC) configuration. A theoretical analysis using a state-space eigenvalue test followed by numerical simulations on a general uncertain nonlinear highly coupled MIMO system validated the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme in controlling such MIMO systems. Numerous techniques have been proposed in the literature to improve the performance of high‐gain observers with noisy measurements. One such technique is the linear extended state observer, which is used to estimate the system's states and to account for the impact of internal uncertainties, undesirable nonlinearities, and external disturbances. This observer's primary purpose is to eliminate these disturbances from the input channel in real‐time. This enables the observer to precisely track the system states while compensating for the various sources of uncertainty that can influence the system's behaviour. So, in this paper, a novel nonlinear higher‐order extended state observer (NHOESO) is introduced to enhance the performance of high‐gain observers under noisy measurement conditions. The NHOESO is designed to observe the system states and total disturbance while eliminating the latter in real time from the input channel. It is capable of handling disturbances of higher‐order derivatives, including internal uncertainties, undesirable nonlinearities, and external disturbances. The paper also presents two innovative schemes for parametrizing the NHOESO parameters in the presence of measurement noise. These schemes are named time‐varying bandwidth NHOESO (TVB‐NHOESO) and online adaptive rule update NHOESO (OARU‐NHOESO). Numerical simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes, using a nonlinear uncertain system as a test case. The results demonstrate that the OARU technique outperforms the TVB technique in terms of its ability to sense the presence of noise components in the output and respond accordingly. A disturbance/uncertainty estimation and disturbance rejection technique are proposed in this work and verified on a ground two-wheel differential drive mobile robot (DDMR) in the presence of a mismatched disturbance. The offered scheme is the an improved active disturbance rejection control (IADRC) approach-based enhanced dynamic speed controller. To efficiently eliminate the effect produced by the system uncertainties and external torque disturbance on both wheels, the IADRC is adopted, whereby all the torque disturbances and DDMR parameter uncertainties are conglomerated altogether and considered a generalized disturbance. This generalized disturbance is observed and cancelled by a novel nonlinear sliding mode extended state observer (NSMESO) in real-time. Through numerical simulations, various performance indices are measured, with a reduction of 86% and 97% in the ITAE index for the right and left wheels, respectively. Finally, these indices validate the efficacy of the proposed dynamic speed controller by almost damping the chattering phenomena and supplying a high insusceptibility in the closed-loop system against torque disturbance. Dynamic observers are commonly used in feedback loops to estimate the system's states from available control inputs and measured outputs. The presence of measurement noise degrades the performance of the observer and consequently degrades the performance of the controlled system. This paper presents a novel nonlinear higher-order extended state observer (NHOESO) for efficient state and disturbance estimation in presence of measurement noise for nonlinear single-input–single-output systems. The proposed nonlinear function allows a fast reconstruction of the system's states and is robust against uncertainties and measurement noise. An analytical parameterization technique is proposed to parameterize the coefficients of the proposed nonlinear higher-order extended state observer in the case of measurement noise in the output signal.
