The paper discusses how personal data is a crucial resource in the digital age. It explores the complex nature of the economic valorisation of personal data. Recent discussions have focused on the commodification and profit generation from personal data and its role as an asset and a source of rent. Property rights play a significant but contradictory role in each of these cases. From a technical standpoint, personal data does not fall under traditional ownership rights protected by intellectual property laws. It is neither an artistic work covered by copyright nor an outcome of financial investment that could be protected by patents. Instead, the paper focuses on the role of personal data in the capitalist mode of production and digital monopoly conditions. With this in mind, the article delves into the landscape of property rights concerning digital assets, debunks common misconceptions and clarifies their legal position in the evolving economy. Through an analysis of their intangible nature, the article argues that digital assets are more akin to intellectual property than to tangible assets. Drawing on a spectrum of case law recognising digital assets as objects of property rights, it examines property law in various legal systems, ranging from common law jurisdictions such as the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, to civil law systems such as Germany, China and Poland. It also explores the notion of digital assets as contractual claims and navigates the complexities of conflicts of laws, advocating for a universal framework to protect digital property and data ownership beyond the realm of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). While undocu/DACAmented students face many challenges in higher education, their lives demonstrate a tremendous amount of motivation, resilience, commitment, and perseverance. The literature on undocumented students has indicated that these students bring a vast array of assets to college – assets that can be used to improve the campus and the experiences of undocu/DACAmented individuals. However, undocu/DACAmented student assets are often undervalued. In this critical qualitative study of testimonios with 15 undocu/DACAmented Latinx collegians, we examine how institutions utilize, underutilize, or exploit these students' assets to ask at what point acknowledging and recognizing students' assets turns into exploiting them. Our findings revealed these collegians hold myriad assets and institutions responded to those assets by sometimes acknowledging and rewarding them, failing to acknowledge these assets, or exploiting them. This study explores demand-side stories of democratic backsliding among citizens. We argue that individual job insecurity is associated with higher levels of support for strong leaders who are not committed to being subject to legislative checks and balances. Furthermore, we contend that this relationship is mitigated by higher asset levels and household income. In our analysis of Korea, we utilize data from the 2018 World Values Survey and the 2021 Korean General Social Survey. These results provide robust evidence for this hypothesis. Specifically, we find that assets as private alternatives to the welfare state moderate the effect of job insecurity on public support for undemocratic leaders. The findings from the Korean case have implications that can be generalized: enhancing job security and expanding public welfare provisions could bolster citizens' democratic attitudes and behaviours. There has been increasing academic interest shown in the evolving market maturity of the private sector, purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) market and its role in supporting the massification of higher education in the UK and elsewhere. This paper focuses on the evolution of the private sector PBSA market in Sheffield, UK, whose material impact upon central Sheffield in the first two decades of the twenty‐first century to both the built environment and socio‐spatial structure of the central city has been transformational. It is asserted that these changes in Sheffield reflect the wider growth dynamics and impact of private sector PBSAs on similar locales across the UK. A fundamental conceptualisation of the paper is that government higher education policy, and the differential interpretation of that policy by higher education institutions, and the enabling planning frameworks of local authorities, have created the market for private sector PBSA. The private sector PBSA market in Sheffield, as elsewhere, has been increasingly drawn into a global financialised framework that positions PBSAs as assets that are enabling of abstracted extraction of value in a knowable and predictable way. The paper foregrounds how this process embeds within a de‐industrialised, secondary city such as Sheffield a deeper connectivity to the global financial economy through not only inflows of investment capital but outflows of revenue to private sector PBSA investors. Nearly a quarter of U.S. households experienced job or income losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Liquid assets mitigate financial distress amidst financial shocks such as job loss, yet this relationship concerning the COVID-19 pandemic is unknown. Using a nationally representative sample of U.S. respondents (N = 4,765) who completed a survey in the early days of the pandemic, we examined pre-pandemic liquid assets as a moderator of the relationship between COVID-19-related job and income loss and financial distress such as difficulty meeting financial obligations and the use of high-cost financial resources. Estimates from propensity score-weighted linear probability models indicated that greater liquid assets lessened the probability of experiencing all eight measures of financial distress and moderated the effect of COVID-19-related job/income loss on five out of eight measures. These results hold when examining financial distress specifically attributed to COVID-19 and controlling for public program participation and Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act supports. When designing programs to assist the poor, it is important to recognize who is most in need of government assistance. Although measures of poverty are often based on income alone, poverty measures based on both income and assets provide greater precision in the analysis of this group since accumulated assets can be liquidated to compensate for temporary shortfalls in income. The current study used the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (2007–2017) to analyze associations between different facets of poverty dynamics (i.e. poverty entry and exit) and its determinants. We explored differences in results based on whether poverty was measured by income alone, or income plus assets. The Cox proportional hazard regression was used to examine how demographic characteristics predicted poverty entry and poverty exit. Results indicated factors predicting poverty entry were not identical to those predicting difficulty of exiting poverty. Also, the risk of poverty entry and exit differed based on whether poverty was measured by income alone, or income plus assets. Thus, using income plus assets provides new perspectives into poverty dynamics which past research, based on income alone, did not provide. The impact of the enemy's air actions uncertainty is assessed by the task non-fulfillment risks by air defense forces to protect assets from enemy's strikes. The article describes the method of determining the task non-fulfillment risks by air defense forces based on the use of a fuzzy-multiple approach. Conventional monotheist religious believers commonly believe that God will sometimes assist them, will be on their side. God, in other words, they believe, is an asset. Conceptually an asset is anything (such as a person or an object) that can assist one, something that is prima facie good to possess or to have on one's side, that is likely to or can assist one to make one's life go better, overall. Having assets can have weighty implications, including moral ones. I argue that here the implications are quite surprising, and indeed paradoxical. In particular, the religious will have in certain circumstances good reasons, and sometimes even moral obligations, to give up their interests for those who lack such assets, namely secular non-believers. The claim is not that religious people actually see things in this way but that, normatively, given their beliefs, many of them should, in the sense of the subjective 'ought'. This can be relevant both in this world and concerning the next. Moreover, in many situations plausible religious replies are not sufficient to block the move. From an economic and psychological point of view, building and maintaining a good reputation is essential for any branch of economic activity. This work evaluated goodwill using the weighted average return on assets method, WARA. This is according to the average company in the manufacturing industry in the Czech Republic between 2016-2020. The average enterprise was created by filtering enterprises determined according to the classification of economic activities of CZ NACE from section C. These data were transformed into a single entity valued on an accounting basis, and the value of its goodwill was determined. This value was determined from an accounting point of view as the difference between the revenue value of the business plant and the asset value of the business plant. The benefit is the value of goodwill expenses in connection with strengthening the competitive advantage in the market. The limitation of this work was determining which companies should filter out from the list of accounting data completely and which to keep. This text reports on the results of research on a topic rarely addressed in the historiography of the relations between the Church and the Mexican State in the 19th century: the actions of the Catholic hierarchy to counteract the effects of the loss of material goods due to of the reformist laws promoted by the liberal governments after the triumph of the Ayutla revolution in 1855. In the following lines we will analyze the spirit and objective of these measures, the actions undertaken by the bishops of Veracruz, in the indicated period, in order to recover part of those expropriated assets and resources and some of the cases that could be analyzed, temporarily located in the era of the restored republic and the Porfiriato. Objectives Low-cost debt can potentially enhance wealth and indirectly benefit health, yet Black Americans disproportionately lack this type of debt, which may constrain their ability to accumulate wealth throughout their lives and across generations. Our objectives are to develop a novel debt–asset measure, use it to quantify the Black–White differential in debt–asset profiles, and estimate its contribution to the racial gap in cognition. Methods Using the Health and Retirement Study (1998–2020), we grouped individuals based on debt and asset information during the preretirement period of ages 55–61, including the absence of debt and the relative amount of debt compared to assets. Linear mixed models were used to examine the extent to which cognition in later life (ages 62–80) differs across these debt–asset profiles and its role in explaining the racial disparity in cognition. Results Compared with Whites, Blacks were more likely to fall into categories characterized by high debt-to-asset ratio (DAR) or limited asset ownership. Low-asset nonborrowers displayed the poorest cognition, followed closely by high-DAR borrowers. The Black–White differential in debt–asset profiles contributed to the racial gap in cognition. Discussion There were 2 unfavorable debt–asset profiles: high debt relative to assets and little or no debt due to a lack of assets, which was more prevalent among Blacks than Whites. We discuss how institutional and structural racism shapes Black–White disparities in debt–asset profiles, such as limited access to borrowing opportunities, thereby contributing to health inequalities, including cognition. The prosperity of urban life is dependent on its infrastructure. Urban underground infrastructure components (assets) are aging and need regular monitoring, maintenance and rehabilitation. These assets are often placed under pavements and in close vicinity to each other. Managing them in a coordinated way is rational considering costs and disruption of services and communities caused by each intervention on the different assets. Recently, interest in practice as well as in research has grown to manage urban infrastructures in a coordinated way. This article reviews journal articles and grey literature to evaluate managing these infrastructures in an integrated way (i.e. the highest level of coordination) and describe possible obstacles for doing so. This article identifies seven main challenges of integrated multi-infrastructure asset management (IMAM) that need to be addressed by practitioners and researchers. These challenges are related to: (i) dependencies and interdependencies, (ii) data quality, availability and interoperability, (iii) uncertainties in modelling and decision-making, (iv) comparability, (v) problems of scale, (vi) problems of fit and (vii) problems of interplay. The objective of this document was to explain the effects of a methodological guide, from basic accounting, to the cognitive processes of teaching towards the buying and selling modules; and accounting packages for tax awareness among young people in Ecuador and the world, empowered to fulfill their duties in their societies as tax advisors and micro-entrepreneurs. Qualitative research has been carried out, in which an exchange was made between theory and commercial facts. A basic comparative qualitative methodology is applied to first-year high school students at the Unidad Educativa Provincia de Los Ríos in Guayaquil, Ecuador, taking the third year of technical high school as a reference group, as a diagnostic reference sample; but not intervened, retrospectively, asserting the accounting subconscious before computerizing the accounting processes. It is concluded that the relationship between mastery of spreadsheets and the speed and efficiency of transcribing processes depends on prior learning and the binary help of accounting and computing; In addition, the didactic guide is aimed at using a pedagogy that helps from the formation of work skills to tax settlement. During the last three decades, the Kafue flats floodplain fishery on the Kafue River in Zambia has been increasingly exploited due to more individuals settling in the area and seasonal travellers gaining access to the fishery during flood season. Despite successful governance arrangements that effectively regulated access to fish stocks for many generations, evidence shows that these arrangements are not working as new entrants continue to gain access and overexploit remaining fish stocks. Managing new entrants is a crucial factor in achieving sustainable use. Our objective was to gain an understanding of fisheries governance on the Kafue floodplain fishery, particularly in Shimungalu and Nyimba fishing villages, where different levels of government support for co‐management structures produced different outcomes. Our research approach was qualitative, by utilising the snowball sampling technique and incorporating interviews and documentary analysis. Our aim was to investigate discrepancies in the efficacy of resource access and utilisation in the two fishing camps, and to offer recommendations on how governance systems for the fishery could be refined to improve their efficacy. This comparative analysis of the two fishing communities, which share numerous characteristics with various small‐scale fisheries in Africa, provides an opportunity to understand how polycentric governance offers a solution by enabling other organisations to fill capacity gaps faced by relevant authorities. This study combined asset (i.e., strength) assessment, measured by the Search Institute's Asset Checklist, and humanistic counseling approaches to measure effects on self‐reported assets in two similar vulnerable adolescent populations in therapeutic residential treatment centers located in the rural Rocky Mountain West. Results indicated that seven of eight asset categories increased from baseline to follow‐up assessment, with four of those categories having statistically significant increases. The work of elementary science teaching is challenging given the wide array of subject matter most teachers are expected to teach and a systematic de-prioritisation of science at these grades. In this literature review (63 papers; 2010–2020), we use a framework of readiness for science teaching. Using this framework allows us to illustrate foundational characteristics and abilities that preservice teachers may start with and develop as they become well-started beginners for elementary teaching in the face of systemic challenges. To this end, we identify what is known from the research literature about the strengths that preservice elementary teachers bring to this difficult work with regard to their characteristics and abilities in addition to the challenges they face, describing a foundation on which preservice teachers can build. We also highlight additional studies that show how teacher education can build on preservice teachers' strengths and support them in areas that are challenging. We identify themes around novices' identities, dispositions, emotions, beliefs, attitudes, self-efficacy, knowledge, engagement in and with science practices, lesson planning, and lesson enactment. Finally, we highlight four implications for science teacher educators, noting focal areas that may compensate for challenges preservice elementary teachers face while building on their strengths. The study assessed the roles of women and the ownership of land trends in Lesotho, particularly during the 2015/2016 drought in Lesotho. A mixed-method approach, which combined both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, and a semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The collected data included demographic information, household assets, gender roles in agricultural activities, and decision-making in the household to explore feminization of agriculture and its impact on household food security in Lesotho, particularly Maneo village in the Mohales' Hoek district. The results showed that even though the women were the majority of farmers, they were not involved in decision-making, did not own the land, lacked farming implements, used poor and archaic farming methods, and were subjected to institutionalized gender discrimination. This resulted in a food deficit, worsened by the drought in the southern districts, particularly in Maneo village. Despite the fact that land was owned by men, the women worked hard without having any rights to land ownership. This contributed to women's poverty. The article considers the essential characteristics of the loan portfolio of a commercial bank and allocates its key features with clarification of their economic content in terms of the qualitative aspect of formation and management of the pool of credit assets. The study examines current approaches to assessing the credit portfolio of a commercial bank, taking into account its key characteristics. Indeed, based on the results of monitoring the quality of the credit portfolio, it is possible to formulate a set of proposals for managing credit assets and assess the adequacy of measures implemented by the bank's management in the face of economic uncertainty to maintain competitive positions on the credit services market. A review of the dynamics of lending to non-financial corporations and households by maturity is carried out through the prism of the potential use of these borrowed financial resources to intensify the investment activity of economic entities. There is limited empirical evidence about how youth engage in livestock production in East Africa. The primary objective of this article is to better understand youth engagement in the livestock sector, namely commercialization and marketing. We compare youth to non-youth in four areas: livestock asset ownership, access to and use of services and improved practices and lastly, market participation. Our framework draws upon agricultural transformation concepts to suggest a tentative pathway through which livestock can support youth in transitions. We draw upon quantitative data and analyze and compare youth to nonyouth in intensive and extensive livestock systems in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Tanzania and investigate four livestock systems, dairy, extensive ruminants, pig, and chicken systems. The results showed that there were no systematic youth-specific trends across the asset ownership, levels of commercialization or market participation. Also, low asset ownership did not generate observable youth specific differences in market participation. Rather, education and improved practices correlate with higher levels of market participation. Exploring how livestock are acquired and implications upon asset-based approaches is recommended to better understand the potential of livestock as a source of income during youth transitions in different livestock systems. More evidence is needed to inform and tailor policy approaches to support equitable opportunities in the livestock sector better. Sampling is a part of an overall population that is carefully selected to be representative of that population. The sampling technique used in this research is a time series . The purposive sampling method is the selection ofsamples that meet certain criteria determined by the researcher. The analysis used uses path analysis using SPSS V22 software. From the results of the data tests in this research, it is clear that equity has an effect on profitability. Assets have no effect on profitability. Liabilities affect profitability. Equity influences share prices. Assets have no effect on share prices. Liabilities affect share prices. Profitability influences share prices. There is a growing groundswell of opinion in commentary on the political economy of the Global North that the neoliberal era has seen the forceful (re)emergence of rentier capitalism. This article analyses the case of the UK. Identifying and delineating the predominant forms of contemporary rentierism operating in the UK, and using a range of datasets pertaining to the shape of the national economy, it shows that rentierism in its various guises is today a significant, even dominant, dynamic, in contrast to during the period preceding the neoliberal turn. Air and sea-based cruise missiles are the most dangerous means of air attack. Local air defense is organized to protect assets from these strikes. This takes into account the possible directions of cruise missiles strikes and the effectiveness of assets protection. The effectiveness of assets protection from cruise missiles strikes is assessed by the probability of their preservation, which is determined using the developed methodology based on a simulation model of air defense. In this study, we argue that parents' class position may influence the type and timing of their offspring's investments in financial assets. These investments may facilitate net worth accumulation beyond direct transfers, contributing to the intergenerational reproduction of social positions. We test these expectations using retrospective life history and prospective panel data for 14 countries from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe. We apply discrete-time event history analyses to examine the first financial investments' timing over the life course and conduct a mediation analysis of net worth. We find that individuals from advantaged parental classes are more likely to invest in stocks and mutual funds. When considering horizontal differentiation, managerial classes with relatively more economic capital than cultural capital are more likely to invest in financial assets. However, we do not find robust evidence for distinct timings of financial investments by parental class. Advantaged parental class is positively associated with net worth in later life. This research uses a multi-goal decision-making model to provide a framework for determining how to allocate financial resources most effectively. The Saudi British Bank has a list of goals that need to be accomplished, and the purpose of this research was to establish a preemptive goal programming approach to help achieve those goals. First, we examined the most recent annual financial report that Saudi British Bank released. After that, the Bank's budgeting procedure focused of this examination. According to the findings, Bank has unlimited potential for success; however, to realize that potential, the Bank will need to lower the amount of financial risk. As a direct consequence, Saudi British Bank is successfully growing its total capital. In addition, an analysis was done to determine how successful the study was in meeting its objectives. According to the findings, the objectives of the study were successfully accomplished. Because of the adaptability of this model, a wide variety of sectors and financial institutions can use it to find workable answers to a wide variety of budgetary challenges. Food insecurity remains prevalent in the United States, affecting millions of households. Research has confirmed that low income and limited assets are risk factors for food insecurity, but how income and assets are associated with food insecurity has not been fully explored in light of the fact that food insecurity endures or worsens over time for some people but not others. Using 2015, 2017, and 2019 waves of the panel study of income dynamics, this study (1) investigated the heterogeneity of food insecurity trajectories using Growth Mixture Modeling; (2) performed a multinomial logistic regression to examine how income and assets are associated with the relative risk of facing a more severe food insecurity trajectory; and (3) compared the coefficient of income with the coefficient of assets. Results of this study showed that both higher income and more assets are associated with a lower probability of facing food insecurity that worsens rather than improves with time. This study also observed that the association strength was stronger for income than for assets. These results offer insights for policies aimed at creating efficient financial support strategies (e.g., income assistance, asset building) that reduce recipients' risk of experiencing long-term food insecurity. Asset-based approaches to public service reform suggest a need for policymakers to shift attention from 'fixing' the perceived deficits of disadvantaged neighbourhoods, to recognising and building on the resources, or assets, they hold. However, these approaches have also been critiqued for interpreting assets so broadly that they effectively become meaningless, or so narrowly that they perpetuate deficit views. To counter these tendencies, a new conceptually and methodologically robust endogenous assets-mapping approach is proposed. This has been designed to enable nuanced insights into the assets young people living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods may draw upon to pursue positive educational and wider life outcomes. The approach's utility is illustrated through the case of Ayesha, a 14-year-old student with a difficult relationship with school. The paper concludes that an endogenous assets-mapping approach can help to generate more positive narratives for vulnerable learners living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods than schooling may typically enable. A considerable body of research on inequality in India has focused on consumption inequality. This article compares inequality in consumption expenditure and income, using two waves of the India Human Development Survey. We find that while income inequality increased marginally, expenditure inequality remained stable. The article also undertakes the decomposition of income inequality by sources and finds that wage and agricultural incomes contribute most to inequality in rural areas whereas wage and business incomes are the major contributors in urban areas. Wages and government transfers arse found to be inequality-decreasing sources of income, and agricultural income is found to be inequality-increasing. While government transfers benefit low-income households, there is potential for increasing their efficacy and for attaining a more egalitarian distribution of income by better targeting. Further, we examine how expenditure and income are associated with the ownership of household assets. The content of this paper involves a crucial phenomenon in the analysis of the labor market: the description of adequate female employment in Ecuador. The present paper examines the relationship between the behavior of the female employment rate and the evolution of some of the most critical variables of direct selling firms in Ecuador, such as sales revenue, solvency ratio, liquidity ratio, and assets return. The panel data technique of dynamic mean groups [ardl (1,1,1)] was used to generate empirical evidence. It was found that the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, and income of direct selling firms show an effect statistically significant on adequate female employment. However, it is considerably small, implying that the productive linkages generated by these firms do not tend to substantially impact the generation of better-quality jobs for women in Ecuador. Background: Psychological adaptability, or the reduction of psychiatric symptoms in the context of ongoing stressors, is well-documented. The present study assessed relationships between COVID-19 related stressors and depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress (PTS) during April and July 2020.Methods: Prevalence of, and changes in, symptom severity levels in April vs. July were measured with ANOVA F-tests. Logistic regressions were used to assess the odds of probable diagnosis.Results: Symptom distributions skewed lower in July, as compared to April for all three diagnostic categories. From April to July, prevalence of probable anxiety and depression decreased across all levels of stress, prevalence of PTS increased for high stress, and decreased for medium and low stress levels. In July, only high stress related to higher odds of probable diagnoses, as compared to April when both medium and high stress did.Limitations: Due to use of cross-sectional self-report data, the present findings could not establish causality between variables, and provide probable, rather than clinical, diagnoses.Conclusion: Findings emphasize adaptability phenomena during COVID-19 and highlight the nuanced impact of ongoing stress. Background: In face of large-scale disasters, persons with fewer assets are at greater risk of persistent poorer mental health than persons with more assets. Everyday daily routine disruptions and financial hardship could mediate this association.Methods: This prospective population-representative study in Hong Kong aimed to investigate the relation between assets during the acute phase of COVID-19 (February-August 2020, T1) and persistent probable depression from T1 to March-August 2021 (T2), as well as the mediating effects of daily routine disruptions and financial hardship on the assets-depression association.Results: Low assets at T1 prospectively related to persistent probable depression from T1 to T2. Primary routine disruptions (i.e., healthy eating and sleep) at T1 and financial hardship at T2 were found to fully mediate the association between T1 assets and persistent probable depression.Limitations: Persistent probable depression reported on the PHQ-9 should be further verified with clinical diagnoses/interviews.Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic was accompanied by a global economic downturn. Persons who have fewer assets could be at greater risk of depression during this period. Our findings suggest a need to provide behavioral and financial assistance to persons with fewer assets in the short run and a need to ensure that everyone has adequate assets to mitigate the mental health consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the long run. Background: While abnormal psychology courses have traditionally focused on psychopathology, there are several benefits to adopting a strengths-based approach. Objective: This study examined the teaching of a strengths-based assessment approach (the DICE-PM Model), compared to teaching as usual, in an undergraduate abnormal psychology course. Method: Two sections of an abnormal psychology course were taught a strengths-based assessment approach while two sections were taught as usual. All participants completed measures of knowledge of psychological disorders and mental illness stigma at the beginning and end of the semester. Results: Both groups demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge of disorders and a significant decrease in mental illness stigma with the exception of one category assessed (recovery), generally with small effect sizes. Those in the strengths group, compared to the control, showed a significantly greater decrease in mental illness stigma involving anxiety related to others with mental illness, though also with a small effect. Conclusion: Findings suggest strengths-based assessment education does not compromise the instruction of psychological disorders and is equivalent to a traditional abnormal psychology course in reducing mental illness stigma. Lower income households are at risk for material hardship, particularly amidst the economic fallout of COVID-19. Where one lives (e.g., suburb, small town) may affect this risk due to variable access to resources, yet the evidence is mixed concerning the influence of place. We used a pooled, national cross-sectional sample of 66,046 lower-income tax filers to examine differences in material hardship in rural, small town, micropolitan, and urban areas. Controlling only for standard demographic variables, hardship risk appears higher in non-urban areas, yet these differences disappear after controlling for financial characteristics such as liquid assets and home ownership. The field of community health promotion encompasses a wide range of approaches, including bottom-up approaches that recognise and build on the agency and strengths of communities to define and pursue their health goals. Momentum towards agent-based approaches to community health promotion has grown in recent years, and several related but distinct conceptual and methodological bodies of work have developed largely in isolation from each other. The lack of a cohesive collection of research, practice, and policy has made it difficult to learn from the innovations, best practices, and shortcomings of these approaches, which is exacerbated by the imprecise and inconsistent use of related terms. This article provides a review of three agent-based approaches to promoting community health: asset-based approaches, capacity building, and capabilities approaches, noting the theoretical origins and fundamental concepts, applications and methodologies, and limitations and critiques of each. This article discusses their commonalities and differences in terms of how they conceptualise and approach the promotion of community health, including a critical consideration of their limitations and where they may prove to be counterproductive. Aim: To investigate how socioeconomic status was associated with the risk of in-hospital cardiac arrest in Denmark.Methods: We conducted a matched case-control study based on data from nationwide registries in Denmark. A total of 3,449 cases with in-hospital cardiac arrest in 2017 and 2018 were matched at the index time based on age and sex with up to 10 controls from the total Danish population (background controls) and a hospitalized patient population (hospitalized controls), respectively. Household income, household assets, and education were used as measures of socioeconomic status. Conditional logistic regression was used to assess the association between socioeconomic status and the risk of in-hospital cardiac arrest.Results: Across all analyses of cases and controls, high household income, high household assets, and higher education were associated with decreased odds of in-hospital cardiac arrest. In the analyses of cases and background controls, high household income was associated with 0.45 (95% CI: 0.40, 0.52) times the odds of in-hospital cardiac arrest compared to low household income, which was similar for household assets. Compared to basic education, higher education was associated with 0.50 (95% CI: 0.43, 0.58) times the odds of in-hospital cardiac arrest. The results attenuated marginally after adjustment for comorbidities. Similar albeit attenuated findings were observed in the analyses of cases and hospitalized controls.Conclusions: In this matched case-control study, high socioeconomic status was associated with lower odds of in-hospital cardiac arrest compared to low socioeconomic status. The findings were consistent across household income, household assets, and education and persisted after adjustment for comorbidities. Driven by a desire to improve the financial well-being of lower-income households, financial capability interventions are gaining attention in practice and public policy. IDAs are a financial capability intervention designed to build family assets through incentivized savings. This systematic review focuses on financial capability interventions that provide Individual Development Accounts (IDAs), a restricted-used savings account paired with financial education. Eligible studies included financial education and a matched saving account to be used for a financial asset purchase. Three large research projects with multiple studies and one additional unique study published through May 2020 were eligible for study inclusion. Results suggest that, thus far, there is mixed evidence on IDAs effects on financial behaviors or financial outcomes. The article analyzes the effects of social class inequalities on three dimensions of the living conditions in Argentina in 2014-2015: household income, durable consumer goods and economic-financial assets. We resorted to the National Survey on the Social Structure of the Research Program on Contemporary Argentine Society for data and based on the Socio-Occupational Classifier (Torrado,1998), we elaborated class and path classifications.
