The objective was to describe nursing care in the first hour of life of the newborn (NB). The method of choice was the integrative literature review carried out in the Regional Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Google Scholar, using the Health Sciences Descriptors (DECs): Newborn, Postnatal Care and the Boolean operator AND. In the VHL, 5,446 publications were evaluated by availability and publication in the last 5 years, resulting in 856 analyzed by title and abstract, resulting in 38 publications read in full and the selection of 1 for theoretical synthesis. Google Scholar found 10,400 publications filtered by publication in the last 5 years, resulting in 3,620 analyzed by title and theme, with 22 publications read in full and 6 selected. The results show that nursing care in the first hour of a newborn's life is essential to ensure a smoother adaptation to extrauterine life and, among the results of this practice, the reduction of neonatal mortality, the prevention of complications and the promotion of the bond between mother and child stand out. It is concluded that it is of utmost importance for health institutions to offer training and qualification to nursing professionals to qualify care in this critical period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: This study aimed to highlight the role of nurses in breast cancer care and prevention, emphasizing the approach of nursing professional practice in the preventive way of early detection of the pathology. Methods: This is an integrative review research. The Virtual Health Library was the database used for the research through the Descriptors in Health Sciences: "Breast Neoplasms"; "Family Health Strategy"; and "Nursing Care". The survey resulted in a total of 738 publications, of which the abstract and title were read. After this initial analysis, 11 publications were selected, which were then read in full and 5 were subsequently eliminated. Results: The detailed analysis of the 6 publications selected enabled the construction of two thematic categories, namely: "Family Health Strategy and Early Detection of Breast Cancer" and "Nursing Actions for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer". Conclusions: The reality of breast cancer detection should be improved with the education of the users and training of nurses and physicians of the Family Health Strategy to work with the early detection of breast cancer, in addition to the humanization and improvement of women's care. Objective: To present theoretical reflections about the psychological aspects of pregnancy, particularly the transformations in the female body, discussing the concept of body image and sexuality. Methods: A review was conducted in studies from 1987 to 2017 using the electronic databases: SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature), MEDLINE, Google academic, and the physical collection of the library of the Paulista University campus of Assis-SP, Brazil. The keywords used for the survey were: Pregnancy; Body Image; and Sexuality. Of 2,123 publications found, 21 were selected to form the theoretical reflection. Results: The publications enabled the construction of three thematic categories: Pregnancy; Body Image; and Sexuality. During gestation, women's body moves away from the ideal body worshiped by the media, which may create dissatisfaction with their body image and sexuality. Conclusions: It is concluded that pregnancy encompasses transformations not only to the body but also of a psychological and social nature, causing women to need the support of their family, friends, and health professionals to provide affective support and health education regarding the changes that occur in women's body during the gestational period. Introduction: In Brazil, primary health care (PHC) services have been provided mainly by the Family Health Strategy (FHS) program, a model that has become increasingly important for Children's Health services. Objective: to evaluate a stronger and/or weaker presence of the variables: Family Orientation and Community Orientation with regard to PHC from the perspective of caregivers of children under two years of age, assisted by the ESF system in Palmital (SP), in the interior of São Paulo State. Methodology: This exploratory and cross-sectional study was carried out with 50 caregivers of less than 2-year-old infants, of families living in the of FHS area for at least two years. The instrument used for data collection was the PCATool-Brasil, for child health services. Results: 86% of the caregivers who participated in this study were mothers, and the evaluation of the variables of Family Orientation and Community Orientation in the FHS showed that the assessed variables were generally satisfactory. Conclusion:Although the Child Health program of the municipality is aware of the importance of the involvement of the family in childcare and of the relevance of family and health characteristics of the population in the coverage area, the social participation of the population is not being stimulated by the FHS professionals.
