Cretaceous-Paleogene(K/ Pg) boundary strata usually contains information of global geological events, especially the fifth mass extinction of the Phanerozoic, such as the extinction of dinosaurs. The study of the boundary is a hot topic in academic circle. The terrestrial K/Pg boundaries are found in domestic at present from about 30 areas, and mainly distributed in the eastern part of China, with evidences of iridium content and carbon oxygen isotopes in dinosaur eggs, dinosaur teeth and egg fossils, microspherulites, clay minerals, ostracod group, charophytes, sporopollen and environmental magnetism changes. Most of them are paleontological studies. These evidences reflect similar climate information. Their geochemical element anomalies are isochronous and universal. Comparied with the Marine K/ Pg boundary in foreign countries, the study of terrestrial K/ Pg boundary in China is, in a premilitary stage, due to the limitation of continental strata, biological evolution relationship and preservation conditions. Most of the K/ Pg boundary points found in China are not sufficient. Only 9 boundary points have two or more evidence chains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
