With the growing demand for hospital resources worldwide, healthcare facilities, including Emergency Departments (EDs), look for opportunities to enhance patient care efficiency and streamline healthcare processes. To achieve this, simulation techniques, including Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) and Agent-Based Simulation (ABS), started gaining awareness; however, little is known regarding their applications and integration with various optimization methods and scenario-generation techniques in EDs. To address this research gap, we used bibliometric analysis and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework to narrow the publications to 62 articles and conduct a comprehensive review. During the evaluation of each article, three dimensions, namely the area of application, outcomes, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), were reviewed to understand the development and implementation of simulation techniques in EDs. The results shed light on the vital impact of process and time variations on simulation quality and the importance of involving healthcare professionals in simulation validation and verification. Furthermore, this study provided a conceptual framework that identified gaps and solutions related to the model scopes, approaches, technologies, and implementation of the DES and ABS in EDs. These findings could prove useful for healthcare researchers, practitioners, and managers in advancing the future research directions of DES and ABS and practical implications in the decision-making process. Recent advances in information technology have paved a way of developing a holistic framework for academic librarianship. Within this framework, all related perspectives should be closely monitored and synchronized between readers and information systems of academic libraries. By utilizing advanced information analysis techniques, libraries are able to serve the readers more efficiently, collaboratively and smartly. Such trend is transforming the academic library to the next generation. In this paper, we propose service-oriented five-layer architecture as a reference for constructing the next generation library. First, we introduce our general structure of Cyber–Physical Library, which constituted by perceptual layer, physical layer, cyber layer, cognition layer and management layer. Second, we present two study cases for demonstrating how the proposed framework works in practical application. Abstract: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is effective in reducing insomnia complaints, but the effects of self-help CBT have been inconsistent. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of self-help for insomnia delivered in either electronic or paper-and-pencil format compared to a waiting-list. Participants kept a diary and filled out questionnaires before they were randomized into electronic (n = 216), paper-and-pencil (n = 205), or waiting-list (n = 202) groups. The intervention consisted of 6 weeks of unsupported self-help CBT, and post-tests were 4, 18, and 48 weeks after intervention. At 4-week follow-up, electronic and paper-and-pencil conditions were superior (p < .01) compared to the waiting-list condition on most daily sleep measures (Δd = 0.29–0.64), global insomnia symptoms (Δd = 0.90–1.00), depression (Δd = 0.36–0.41), and anxiety symptoms (Δd = 0.33–0.40). The electronic and paper-and-pencil groups demonstrated equal effectiveness 4 weeks after treatment (Δd = 0.00–0.22; p > .05). Effects were sustained at 48-week follow-up. This large-scale unsupported self-help study shows moderate to large effects on sleep measures that were still present after 48 weeks. Unsupported self-help CBT for insomnia therefore appears to be a promising first option in a stepped care approach. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Libraries increasingly seek to support the mental health and well-being of students. This study reports on the results of a survey examining the range of such support activities offered by UK academic libraries prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to the pandemic libraries' emphasis was on new library specific services such as a fiction collection, a type of initiative taken to proactively align with institutional policy. During the pandemic focus shifted somewhat to addressing the anxiety related to finding e-resources. Drawing on the survey data a holistic model of library support for student mental health and well-being is developed, capturing its eight different aspects: inherent library value, library services impact, well-being as a library service, detection, hosting, signposting, library as a good partner and library staff well-being. This paper explores the potential benefits that books, and specifically memoirs, might offer mental health students, positing that first-person testimonials might make the complex experiences of a mental health challenge, in this case, eating disorders, accessible to learners. The paper presents a pedagogical approach, based on transformative learning, to assist in encouraging the development of a recovery approach in students. Transformative learning is a pedagogy that is interested in problematic practices that keep afflicting an area, such as the imbalanced focus on learning illness, rather than well-being, and in pondering and revising the educational solutions. The paper proposes that forward movement in this area will be based on considering and developing such innovative curricula, and researching its impact. By virtue of their accessibility, memoirs could offer to a large audience the benefits of universality, empathy, hope, and guidance. Teachers and learners could be making use of these books in face-to-face or online activities. In this paper, a new mode of bibliotherapy for depression based on user profile is put forward in view of the current situation of depression bibliotherapy with weakness such as samples selected too simple, poor in privacy, and unable to detect and treat potential patients in a timely manner. This mode first constructed the seed words of depressive mood according to “The Burns Depression Checklist (BDC)”, and then based on the machine learning method, comprehensively refined the subjective revealing of user’s online behavior and depressive mood to construct the user’s depressed emotional dictionary. According to the depressed emotional dictionary to analyze user’s blog, calculate the depression emotional index, get the user profile, and then push the corresponding bibliotherapy resources. The bibliotherapy mode based on the user profile exceeded the audience scope, accurately grasp the timing of diagnosis and treatment, so that patients could accept bibliotherapy in an unconscious state, so as to reduce the patient’s double pressure of economic and spirit. [Display omitted] • UHMA research are booming in publications, authors, institutions, and research areas. • UHMA has evolved into a transdisciplinary research field, covering many emerging areas, beyond the built environments. • UHMA research covers: (i) UHI impact assessment and cause identification, (ii) microclimate regulation and human thermal comfort, (iii) climate-related health impact and adaptation, and (iv) urban heat mitigation strategies and techniques. • This study highlights UHMA knowledge gaps in seven dimensions and UHMA development in five aspects. • This study proposes 13 suggestions for promoting the transformation from UHMA research to practice. This paper presents a bibliometric review of the history and evolution of Urban Heat Mitigation and Adaptation (UHMA) from 1989 to 2021 to identify its research progress, knowledge gaps, and future research directions. The results indicate that research on UHMA is booming and that the field has diversified over time. Existing studies have examined UHMA from the environmental, technical, health, economic, and social perspectives. Over time, UHMA has evolved into a transdisciplinary research field, covering many emerging areas beyond built environments, including materials, computer sciences, physiology, chemistry, and geosciences. Relevant UHMA topics can be divided into four research clusters: (i) UHI impact assessment and cause identification, (ii) microclimate regulation and human thermal comfort, (iii) climate-related health impact and adaptation, and (iv) urban heat mitigation strategies and techniques. This study highlights some knowledge gaps in UHMA research, including (i) overfocusing on urban heat causes, effects, and mitigation solutions; (ii) more focus on mitigation, overshadowing adaptation, and preparation; (iii) highlighting materials and vegetation, but overlooking water features and urban form; (iv) incomplete understanding of heat-related impacts; (v) focusing more on microclimate and heat islands rather than extreme heat; (vi) unsound policy, social, and economic support; and (vii) lack of actual UHMA implementation. There are also some challenges in UHMA development, including (i) the uneven distribution of publications, authors, and affiliations; (ii) topic, affiliation, and nation aggregation and bias; (iii) slow evolution in key disciplines, publications, and authors; (iv) knowledge isolation owing to tendentious academic collaboration and communication; and (v) limited journal scope and restricted methodological approaches. To overcome such challenges and enhance UHMA research and policy, 13 suggestions were made. Overall, by promoting transdisciplinary UHMA research informed by climatic sciences, scientific models, policy-relevant techniques, and socio-economic support, this study is expected to better frame UHMA research and bridge science and policy. Hundreds of papers are written about hypospadias every year referring to all aspects of the pathology, being one of the most common congenital malformations. The present study conducted a scoping review of articles published in 2021 to present the main issues and summarize current perspectives and achievements in the field. It searched for the keyword 'hypospadias' in the three most popular databases (PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science). After the analysis of the publications, they were categorized into different domains. The present review was performed respecting the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA ScR) guidelines. A total of 284 articles were included. These were published in 142 different journals. The most accessed was the Journal of Paediatric Urology with 54 articles. The main identified domains were related to surgical techniques, postoperative care, complications, anesthesia, anatomical factors, genetics, environmental factors, endocrinology, associated malformations, questionnaires and recommendations, management, biological materials, animal models, retrospective studies of centers, social media, bibliometrics, small gestational age, neoplasm, or fertility. Promising modifications of existing surgical techniques were presented with improved outcomes for both the proximal and distal types of hypospadias. Relevant anatomical and etiological, and also genetic factors were clarified. Aspects of the peri- and postoperative management referring to the antibiotherapy, analgesia, dressing techniques, and the future use of novel bioengineering agents to prevent, reduce or treat the occurring complications were discussed. Here, the maternal text emerges as a transitional object that allows mothers to cope with the existential paradoxes of their daily lives and experience their lives as meaningful, suggesting that the creative maternal experience is a transitional experience. This paper discusses the relations between tonal and atonal regions of the psychic space as being responsible for the relations between movement and stasis. Drawing on a musical terminology, I describe the constant tension between a harmonious pole of thinking and an idiosyncratic one, both in psychoanalytic meta-reflection as well as in the clinical realm, presenting thereby bibliotherapy, poetry therapy, and the poetic zones of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy as the therapeutic forces which “pull” toward the link to atonal psychic areas, enabling in that way the ongoing integration of the homely and un-homely, the syntax and the anti-syntax of the psychic space. Background: Idiopathic non‐histaminergic acquired angioedema (InH‐AAE) is a rare disease for which there are no available laboratory parameters to clearly define the disorder. Therapy is often difficult and various treatment options have been proposed. In this paper, we have evaluated the most effective therapies for InH‐AAE on the basis of current literature and report the therapeutic effect of omalizumab in three patients with InH‐AAE. Methods: Literature was searched with a combination of MeSH/EMTREE terms and freetext search for angioedema and therapy/omalizumab in the databases Medline (Ovid), PubMed/Premedline, Embase, Cochrane library and Scopus with no time or language restrictions. In three patients affected by InH‐AAE the therapeutic effect of omalizumab was demonstrated by clinical outcome. In one patient the FcεRI receptor density on basophils was monitored under therapy with omalizumab. Results: From the review of the current literature, 25 out of 286 publications dealing with relevant therapeutic recommendations for InH‐AAE were analyzed. Six publications with 98 patients referred to tranexamic acid, of which 27 had a complete, 70 a partial and 1 no response. In three case reports ecallantide showed 2 patients with a complete and 1 a partial response. In four case reports for Icatibant 2 had a complete and 3 a partial response. When evaluated in three reports, C1‐INH found complete and partial responses in 2 patients each. One patient had a complete response to progestin. Omalizumab was described in 6 reports with 20 patients, all of whom showed a complete response. All three patients described in our study responded to omalizumab with a complete remission. Density of FcεRI receptors on basophils, monitored in patient 1 on a long‐term course of 31 months, decreased from 74,051.61 to a minimal level of 1907 receptors per cell. Conclusions: Omalizumab seems to be the most effective therapy in InH‐AAE. The continuous decrease of FcεRI‐receptor density on basophils under therapy with omalizumab along with clinical improvement observed in one patient, could serve as a new approach for further studies to evaluate FcεRI‐receptor density as a surrogate marker for therapeutic efficacy and for dosing and determining injection intervals of omalizumab. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether Shared Reading (SR), a specific literature-based intervention, is transposable to a prison context and whether mental health benefits identified in other custodial and non-custodial settings were reported by women prisoners.Design/methodology/approach In all, 35 participants were recruited within an all-female maximum security prison and attended one of two weekly reading groups. Qualitative data were collected through researcher observation of the reading groups; interviews and focus group discussions with participants and prison staff; interviews with the project worker leading the reading groups; and a review of records kept by the latter during group sessions.Findings Attendance rates were good, with nearly half of the participants voluntarily present at =60 per cent of sessions. Two intrinsic psychological processes associated with the SR experience were provisionally identified, “memory and continuities” and “mentalisation”, both of which have therapeutic implications for the treatment of conditions like depression and personality disorder.Research limitations/implications Limitations included the small sample, lack of control for confounding variables, and constraints imposed on data collection by the custodial setting.Originality/value Although more controlled research is required, the findings indicate that women prisoners will voluntarily engage with SR if given appropriate support, and that the intervention has potential to augment psychological processes that are associated with increased well-being. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore how the use of self-help bibliotherapy developed from a local pilot scheme to become national policy in Wales. Analysis aims to focus on the use of evidence-based practice (EBP) as a justification in the process of policy creation. Design/methodology/approach – A mixed methodological approach was used to gather data, incorporating semi-structured interviews, documents, and descriptive statistics. Actor-network theory (ANT) was used as a critical lens to frame analysis. Findings – The study finds that the translation from local pilot to national initiative was achieved using legitimising discourses including EBP. These discourses were used selectively, and in response to the needs of the focal actors in the network. The complex relationship between EBP and self-help bibliotherapy is explored in connection with healthcare policy, concluding that the use of EBP legitimises a lack of patient-centred evaluation. Research limitations/implications – Limitations of the research include a lack of engagement with patients using the scheme, and future research should aim to present a more patient-centred account to complement this policy-focused work. Originality/value – Little in-depth work has been conducted on the strategy behind the introduction of bibliotherapy schemes in the UK or elsewhere, and this paper presents an in-depth theoretical analysis of the first nationwide bibliotherapy scheme in the world. Bibliotherapy, as a part of expressive therapy, involves the systematic use of books to help people cope with mental, physical, emotional, or social problems. It has been widely recognized as an approach that holds great promise in helping librarians to better address emotional, behavioural and social concerns of various groups of people. The benefits of bibliotherapeutic services such as reading groups, expanded readers' advisory, books-on-prescription and information-on-prescription services as well as various outreach programs are well documented in the library literature. On the other hand, health professionals who work in cooperation with educators and librarians share medical records on the healing and consoling power of books. The paper will explore the role of bibliotherapy in a library setting and identify particular bibliotherapeutic schemes to be used when serving people affected by HIV/AIDS. The paper will provide an overview of the library project developed to address educational and recreational needs of the African people living with HIV/AIDS. The project was successfully implemented at the Nkosi's Haven Library in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2010. Although the project targeted all the residents of Nkosi's Haven, the paper will focus mostly on the part of the program developed for children and young adults. The paper will identify psychological and social factors that affect the targeted group of children within the African environment. Particularly, it will highlight a negative effect that stigmatization around the disease has on the lives of the HIV-infected individuals and their families. Within this context, bibliotherapy is seen as an effective way of reaching out and breaking the isolation of people, especially children living with HIV/AIDS. The paper will describe specific activities strategically chosen for the bibliotherapy sessions to provide a channel through which the participants of the program could analyze their behaviours or situations and address their concerns. It will also provide a list of books selected for the targeted group of children and young adults. The paper will highlight the great potential of bibliotherapy in addressing the needs of vulnerable people and thus justify the importance of implementing bibliotherapy within the library setting. For thousands of years books have been considered to have the capacity to heal. Over the past 100 years the use of what is termed 'bibliotherapy,' the use of literature to heal, has grown and now appears in myriad forms to treat individuals struggling with psychological challenges and other maladies. This paper presents an overview of fiction-based bibliotherapy and then transitions into a cursory explanation of both Carl Jung's concepts of the collective unconscious and archetypes as well as Joseph Campbell's concepts of the mono-myth and the archetypal hero's quest. After re-conceptualizing adjustment disorder (AD) through the lens of the hero's quest, this paper provides a hypothetical conceptualization of how all of these elements (the collective unconscious, archetypes, the hero's quest, and mono-myth) can be integrated into a new form of bibliotherapy (hero's quest bibliotherapy) that can serve as a therapeutic resource for clinicians working with clients who have been diagnosed with AD. Finally, a case example is presented to further illustrate how this intervention looks in practice. This re-conceptualization of AD and innovative intervention closely align with the human-development focused, strength-based, personal-growth oriented professional identity of counseling. Bibliotherapy activity in Essex is described and the development of bibliotherapy in the UK reviewed, drawing on an audit prepared for Arts Council England and the Museums, Libraries, and Archives Council in 2006. There is a focus on book prescription but also covered is the use of creative literature to promote health and wellbeing, and the filtering of information on prescription by some UK library services. This paper summarizes the published evidence and reports from ongoing and completed projects that used Bibliotherapy and Information Prescription to deliver patient care. A literature search was conducted and relevant papers were summarized into: type of study, type of Bibliotherapy, client group and recommendations. In total, 65 papers were considered with 57 reviewed. A survey was also sent to Library Authorities subscribing to national survey standards asking for details about delivery of Information Prescription projects. There were 21 returned surveys. The experiences and recommendations were then summarized. The aim of the paper is to collate the evidence-base of written research and the experience and recommendations of projects into an easy format so that practitioners interested in using Bibliotherapy/Information Prescription/Books on Prescription have an understanding what they are, the extent of the evidence-base to inform practice, and highlight gaps in the research. Purpose: To characterize the global research trend in radiology departments based on bibliometric indicators.Material and Method: As a source of information, Science Citation Index Expanded and Journal Citation Reports from Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) were used. Annual trends, journals of publication, subject categories of journals, collaboration indexes between authors and institutions, network of cowords and most cited papers were identified and analysed. The period of study was 2009-2018.Results: 283,587 downloaded papers were analysed. The number of articles was increasing, as well as the percentage of funded works. Papers were published in 7314 different journals, being the most productive Plos One (5077), followed by American Journal of Roentgenology (4602) and European Radiology (3644). Most productive subject categories of journals were Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging (86,568 papers), Clinical Neurology (29,722) and Surgery (23,564). International collaboration has increased more than 5 points, from 15.2% in 2009 to 20.7% in 2018.Conclusions: Most cited articles were published in high impact journals outside the scope of diagnostic imaging. Most influential topics included technical innovations within imaging modalities. MRI replaced conventional radiography and CT as the imaging technique of choice in imaging research. This paper examined how the use of literary works in bibliotherapy groups for older men promotes discourse on aging and masculinity. Two groups of men from two different CCRCs in Israel participated in the study. Each group underwent 10 bibliotherapy sessions. Following reading aloud of literary works on aging, the participants were invited to share their reflections upon their life, inspired by the creations. An abductive analysis pointed to the central role of the literary elements in encouraging self-expressions among the participants. A qualitative content analysis revealed three themes, which indicate that the literary elements: (a) Encourage the expression of loss; (b) Allow participants to express aspects of positive aging; and (c) Promote insights regarding the acceptance of the aging process. In addition, an analysis focusing on aspects of form revealed four responses to literary elements: (a) Direct metaphors in line with the literary works' interpretations; (b) Creating new meaning for the original metaphors; (c) Expressing conflicting emotions through oxymorons; and (d) Relying on the authors' biographies as an extra-textual context for reflections. The use of 'Library Science', as the name of the discipline is almost 100 years old. The original term was used in Germany in 1934 and a translation of it in an American government publication in 1876. However, its use in the name of a professional degree is found around 1910. Why was 'library science' used as a term is not known. But one wonders on its structure: Was there a 'science' of the 'library' which could form the basis of a discipline? It could have been simply a matter of convenience due to the lack of a proper term. Nevertheless, it has remained in use, with some variations, for almost a century. Lately, there has been a slow shift to 'Information Management' which began in the 1980s. There are a lot of people who object to it. Traditions once established become part of our psyche and extremely difficult and painful to disown. There is a need to understand 'Information Management' as a term focusing on 'Information' which has always been, still is and will continue to be its legitimate and primary concern. It does not focus on a 'space housing information artifacts'. Its augmented professional expanse will create professional job market that is hard to identify and measure at this time. Its graduates will serve more and more diverse populations. There will be a more prestigious consequence of this shift. A study of its close and meaningful interdisciplinary relations will enable it to rub its shoulders and receive recognition from some well-respected disciplines, such as education, psychology, medicine, management sciences, etc. Some of these links, which are crucial, have not yet been adequately identified and recognized. This paper will present a model of interdisciplinarity using Information Management as a core area. This literary analysis examines the emergence of children of alcoholics narratives and their growth from 'resource' texts to literary subgenre. While early texts offer useful information about parental alcoholism, they are also limited. Namely, they do not adequately mirror the diversity of children, families, and problems associated with parental alcoholism nor do they offer alternatives for children whose parents do not, or cannot, seek treatment for their addiction. Literature, on the other hand, in inviting what philosopher Martha Nussbaum refers to as 'narrative play,' can help children learn to understand and empathize with others, nourish their inner curiosity, and, most importantly, tolerate ambiguity in the face of an imperfect world. Thus, this paper presents and examines three literary narratives about children of alcoholics: Gary Paulsen's Harris and Me (), Sherman Alexie's The Absolutely True Diary of a Part- Time Indian (), and Tom Robbins' B is for Beer (). By providing characters and situations with which they can identify, these stories possess potential to validate the feelings that children of alcoholics often experience. At the same time, by offering models of strength and hope, these stories can also help broaden and awaken new perspectives so that children of alcoholics might envision a different life for themselves and reject the pattern of self-victimization and the cycle of alcoholism. Humor, a dominant feature throughout all three narratives, is identified as an especially effective means of discussing this topic with younger audiences. Teachers and librarians can draw on this examination to better guide their selection of texts for young readers, especially for those who are burdened by parental addiction and/or family dysfunction. Postoperative pain (POP) remains a major challenge for surgeons and anesthesiologists worldwide, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Elderly patients are at higher risk for undertreatment of pain. Despite that, there is a paucity of papers addressing POP among this population in developing countries. This study aimed to provide a bibliometric analysis of the literature concerning postoperative pain in elderly patients from low- and middle-income countries. It was performed an extensive search of papers on this subject through the Web of Science and Scopus database using a series of uniterms and, including publications from 2001 to 2021. Publication quality was assessed by using total citation frequency, average citations per item and other citation indexes. Citation indexes were low, with the highest reaching 15 citations. In conclusion, few studies of postoperative pain in the elderly in countries with medium and low income, indicating a need that has not yet been met for this population and in these areas of the world. The published studies were not specifically aimed at the elderly, had limited impact, low international visibility. The paper presents a bibliotherapy programme offered for students from the special developmental class titled „János Arany Programme for Talented Disadvantaged Youth" of the Leőwey Secondary School in Pécs, Hungary. The bibliotherapeutic intervention is a group work based on therapeutic reading, discussion and creative writing, focusing on the development of participants' EQ, self-knowledge, problem solving and coping skills, creativity, aiming to improve positive self-image, adaptability, and the reduction of distress. This study is a joint project involving alcohol-addiction experts and experts on comparative literature, who selected and defined the literary texts that were employed. The research included long-term alcohol abstainers, members of aftercare supportive-therapy groups ( n = 68). The research aimed to obtain some basic information about their reading habits, to test their responsiveness to various types of literary text displaying varying attitudes to alcohol consumption and to acquire the information necessary for a more intensive introduction of bibliotherapy into the therapy of alcohol dependence. The literary passages comprised two texts without reference to alcohol dependence (‘Der Panther’, Siddhartha), two displaying a critical attitude to alcoholism, by describing its negative aspects (John Barleycorn, L’Assommoir), and two without a critical attitude, i.e., with a positive approach to alcoholism (The Pickwick Papers, ‘In Taberna Quando Sumus’). The results showed a more positive response from the participants with higher education and established reading habits. The participants manifested a highly negative emotional response to the positive connotation of alcohol in the texts—an unexpected response after their long abstinence. Even short passages from literary works, appropriately and expertly differentiated, served to trigger or reinforce mentalisation-based reflective processes in addiction psychotherapy. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) involves approximately twenty hours of therapist contact time and is not universally available. MBCT self-help (MBCT-SH) may widen access but little is known about its effectiveness. This paper presents a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of MBCT-SH for students. Eighty students were randomly assigned to an eight-week MBCT-SH condition or a wait-list control. ANOVAs showed significant group by time interactions in favour of MBCT-SH on measures of depression, anxiety, stress, satisfaction with life, mindfulness and self-compassion. Post-intervention between-group effect sizes ranged from Cohen's d = 0.22 to 1.07. Engagement with MBCT-SH was high: participants engaged in mindfulness practice a median of two to three times a week and 85% read at least half the intervention book. Only 5% of participants dropped out. This is the first published RCT of MBCT-SH and benefits were found relative to a control group. MBCT-SH has the potential to be a low-cost, readily available and highly acceptable intervention. • There was an rapidly increase in plant critical dilution curve (PCDC) study in recent years. • PCDC has been applied to more than 30 species by the scientists from 40 countries. • INRA developed PCDC theory, institutions from China and Canada are emerging groups. • Crop modeling and remote sensing in PCDC studies significantly increased recently. The concept of plant critical dilution curve (PCDC) has been studied on several crop species for about four decades, which has been widely applied in studies of crop nutrition evaluation, growth predictions, and fertilization management. This bibliometric analysis comprehensively explores the evolution trends in PCDC research based on literature data retrieved from the Web of Science from 1985 to 2019. The dynamics of the basic characteristics such as outputs, citations, institutions, authors, keywords and research topics of the published papers were studied. The results showed that the outputs and citations remained very low in the early years, then increased gradually, and increased quickly in recent years. INRA from France developed the theory, while research institutions from China and Canada as emerging groups applied the theory in different crops for crop N, growth, and quality indices as well as integrated it with non-destructive tools such as chlorophyll meter and remote sensing technologies in recent years. The frequency of the keywords "nitrogen nutrition index", "use efficiency", "management", "leaf area index" and "vegetation index" in the PCDC study increased over years. The PCDCs along with a number of crops, such as wheat, maize, rice, forage grasses, potato, canola, and tomato, have been widely studied in different countries. Research on PCDC has mainly focused on the theory and development of PCDC, including P, K, S, and their interaction, crop modeling, remote sensing and non-destructive techniques, nutrition diagnosis and fertilization management. Analysis of the published papers revealed that crop modeling and remote sensing are emerging fields. The research trends proposed were: generic PCDCs for crop species, the interaction of N-P-K-S for balanced fertilization, and application of PCDC in crop modeling and remote sensing. Background Caring for a young person experiencing first-episode psychosis is challenging and can affect carers' well-being adversely. While some face-to-face approaches have achieved promising outcomes, they are costly and resource-intensive to provide, restricting their reach and penetration. Guided self-help in book-form (or bibliotherapy) is an alternative but untested approach in these circumstances. In this study, we aimed to evaluate carers' beliefs about the usefulness of problem-solving guided self-help manual for primary carers of young people with first-episode psychosis. Methods A qualitative process evaluation nested in a randomised controlled trial, conducted across two early intervention psychosis services in Melbourne, Australia. 124 carers were randomised to problem-solving guided self-help intervention or treatment as usual. We also undertook a qualitative process evaluation, using individual interviews, with a random sample of 24 of the intervention group. A thematic analysis of the qualitative data was undertaken, which is the subject of this paper. Interviews were conducted between January 2009 and September 2010. Results Three themes were abstracted from the data, reflecting carers' beliefs about the usefulness of the manual: promoting carers' well-being, increasing carers' understanding of and support for the young person with first-episode psychosis, and accessibility and delivery modes of the programme. Conclusion This process evaluation highlights that guided self-help is useful in informing and supporting carers of affected young people. While there is scope for broadening the delivery modes, the approach is easy to use and accessible, and can be used as a cost-effective adjunct to standard support provided to carers, by community mental health nurses and other clinicians. However, further work is needed to establish how these services can work together, in order to improve take-up., Abstract This paper reports on the evaluation of a bibliotherapy scheme delivered via a local library service, in conjunction with General Practice (GP) practices, local social welfare agencies and through self-referral. The Read Yourself Well (RYW) scheme was based on principles established from other similar schemes and as a way of delivering support for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems for whom clinical treatments are not appropriate. The intervention consisted of initial referral and evaluation by the scheme bibliotherapist, a one-hour session at the beginning and end of the intervention where a purpose-designed questionnaire and two mental health assessments were carried out (the General Health Questionnaire and the Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation questionnaire). Contact and support from the bibliotherapist was provided during the intervention period. One hundred and fifty-seven participants were recruited to the evaluation of whom 114 provided full data. Statistical analyses of the mental health scores showed significant improvements post treatment, for, both male and female participants, for all three referral routes, and for participants who were previously library users, and those who joined the library service to participate in the RYW scheme. Simple Summary: Transactional agreements between applied research and regulatory agencies in animal welfare are scarce for minority species. In the present study, camel science upturn and its academic and societal impacts are bibliometrically traced across academic journals involving camel referring documents. The journal, author number, corresponding author origin, discipline and publication year may affect camel research outcomes. Despite camel-related research and its mean impact factor having noticeably increased over the past three decades due to growing social and economic interests in their breeding, parallel evolution of specific welfare laws is limited. Reliable guidance and mandatory standard policies for assessing reared-camel welfare research are identified as primary requirements within this emerging industry on a global scale. Research must play a pivotal role in the formulation of regulations, as the disconnection between science and law renders the efforts to ensure sustainable camel husbandry practices under the scope of welfare impractical. The lack of applied scientific research on camels, despite them being recognized as production animals, compels the reorganization of emerging camel breeding systems with the aim of achieving successful camel welfare management strategies all over the world. Relevant and properly-framed research widely impacts dissemination of scientific contents and drives public willingness to enhance ethically acceptable conditions for domestic animals. Consumer perception of this livestock industry will improve and high-quality products will be obtained. This paper draws on bibliometric indicators as promoting factors for camel-related research advances, tracing historical scientific publications indexed in ScienceDirect directory from 1880–2019. Camel as a species did not affect Journal Citation Reports (JCR) impact (p > 0.05) despite the journal, author number, corresponding author origin, discipline and publication year affecting it (p < 0.001). Countries with traditionally well-established camel farming are also responsible for the papers with the highest academic impact. However, camel research advances may have only locally and partially influenced welfare related laws, so intentional harming acts and basic needs neglect may persist in these species. A sustainable camel industry requires those involved in camel research to influence business stakeholders and animal welfare advocacies by highlighting the benefits of camel wellbeing promotion, co-innovation partnership establishment and urgent enhancement of policy reform. Safety and security (SS) research based on system dynamics (SD) play a greater theoretical and technical support for hazard identification and accident prevention, which meant SD has become an important method to study the system safety, also that SS research based on SD has entered the application stage. It is a relatively macroscopic understanding of the application of SD to SS research by scholars, and difficult to capture the changes and characteristics of specific topics from the understanding. To get an in-depth understanding of the current research characteristics and development in the research domain, and help researchers dig into the more information from a quantitative perspective, we retrieved 1091 documents about SS-related research based on SD published in the period 2000–2020 from the Web of Science Core Collection database in this paper, the bibliometric analysis and science mapping were carried out. The USA, China, UK, Germany and Australia were the five most contributions to the literature associated with SS research based on SD. In terms of the major sources and co-citation of SS-related research publications, IEEE Transactions on Power System , Safety Science , Energy Policy , System Dynamics Review and Reliability Engineering & System Safety are the five most active journals in this domain. The knowledge base of SS research based on SD focuses on "safety management", "risk analysis" and "network and information security". There are some significant differences between the safety and security domains while they are very similar in "risk analysis". Currently, hotspot topics include "safety management", "energy security", "resource utilization" and "industry applications". This paper describes the implementation of developmental bibliotherapy in school libraries. The developmental bibliotherapy is any planned use of books carried out with the aim to influence the personal growth and development. It is particularly relevant to the work of school libraries and school librarians. Taking part in the upbringing and educational activities, school libraries and school librarians have the opportunity to significantly influence the development path of a child, by making a right book available to a right person in the right moment. The World Health Organisation suggests that 60–80% of those affected by depression can be effectively treated using medication or psychotherapy within primary care. However, less than 50% of those affected actually receive such treatments. In practice, it remains a challenge to provide access to psychotherapy due to limited numbers of therapists combined with a growing number of treatment guidelines recommending the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). One way to overcome this problem is to offer therapy in different ways – with so-called low-intensity (LI) working. One example of LI working is CBT self-help (CBT-SH). To provide an overview of the current literature surrounding the effectiveness of CBT-SH with a particular focus on depression and discuss the future directions for both research and policy implementation. It is clear that self-help has a place within a healthcare framework but more work is needed to clarify where and how it should be delivered. The paper concludes that there appears to be enough benefits and sufficient evidence to argue for the introduction of LI working as an appropriate first step for most people facing depression and anxiety. Background: The use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) self-help materials for depression is increasingly recommended as part of stepped care service models. Such resources can be delivered by both new specialist workers (such as the IAPT services in England), or by introducing this style of working into an existing workforce as described in the current paper. The Structured Psychosocial InteRventions in Teams (SPIRIT) course consists of 38.5 hours of workshops, and 5 hours of clinical supervision in the use of CBT self-help (CBSH). Method: This study describes an evaluation of the effectiveness of the course when offered to community and inpatient mental health staff from a wide range of adult and older adult mental health teams in NHS Greater Glasgow Mental Health Division. Results: Training resulted in both subjective and objective knowledge and skills gains at the end of training that were largely sustained 3 months later. At that time point, 40% of staff still reported use of CBSH in the last week. Satisfaction with the training is high, using validated rating scales. In recent years bibliotherapy has become a popular approach and it has been commonly utilized in psychological counseling as a supplemental method to the traditional counseling techniques. Therefore, the purpose of this literature review was to introduce the bibliotherapy methods to the reader working in adults counseling settings. Bibliotherapy is aimed at changing the client's faulty assumptions and cognitions and encouraging them by giving a task as reading articles, brochures or books. In order to do that, brochures, articles, and reading assignments are used to accentuate this therapeutic process. Bibliotherapy has been successfully used in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly for a variety of reasons and the effectiveness has been documented evidence based. Bibliotherapy provides some advantages including: accentuating the therapy, decreasing the time required for healing, cost effectiveness, and shortening the waiting period; in addition, clients do not have to go to the therapist's office. Since it matches the client's pace, it enhances the client's sense of self esteem and autonomy. Aims and objectives: UK health policy advocates a patient-centred approach to patient care. Library services could serve the rehabilitation needs of mental health service users through bibliotherapy (the use of written, audio or e-learning materials to provide therapeutic support). Part 2 of this two-part paper assesses the views of psychiatric libraries in the UK on providing access to service users and possible services provided. Methods: An e-mail questionnaire survey of psychiatric library members of the psychiatric lending co-operative scheme ( n = 100) obtained a response rate of 55%, mostly from libraries based in hospitals. Results: At present, libraries funded by the health service provide minimal facilities for service users. Librarians are uncertain about the benefits and practicalities of providing access to service users. Conclusions: In order to implement change, information providers across the National Health Service (NHS) will need to work collaboratively to overcome attitudinal and institutional barriers, including the key issue of funding. Despite gains in redefining America as a ‘salad bowl’ versus a ‘melting pot’, stereotypes about racial and ethnic minorities, including African Americans, remain embedded in the fabric of the United States. By acknowledging the significance of stereotypes, race, and culture on the lives of clients, culturally affirming bibliotherapy is a tool that can empower them, validate their experiences, and promote the development of a positive self?identity or self?concept. As there still seems to be no systematic approach in Croatia to the issues of library services for persons with special needs, the paper presents the preliminary results of the research conducted within the project "Library services for the persons with special needs--determining the problem of reading and writing causing the changes in the behaviour of juvenile attending the young offenders institutions and penal institutions in Croatia". The project was initiated in 2004 by the Committee for Library Services for Persons with Special Needs and Disabilities (Crotian Library Association) in co-operation with Croatian Dyslexia Association, Croatian Institute for Librarianship (National and University Library) and IFLA Section for Libraries Serving Disadvantaged Persons. Even though it had been tested and verified on a smaller group of persons with difficulties in reading and writing and with behaviour disorders, the methods and activities applied in this Project should be viewed as an extention of the National strategy of the unique policy for the disabled, the main goal of which is the improvement of the quality of library services for persons with special needs and disabilities in public, school and special libraries such as libraries of the young offenders institutions and penal institutions. The contribution of stories in biblio-poetry therapy practice and in enhancing personal development is the focus of this paper. Writing, telling and listening to stories open up possibilities for change and new learning windows. Through expressive and communicative stories, therapeutic and developmental dia- and polylogism can expand one's imaginative space and perspectives of action in a “holding framework” and even in virtual communities. Rewriting previous “truth stories” moves and modifies one's conceptions of self, others and life relations. The inhibitions, failures and dislocations inherent in storytelling also provide valuable experiential and experimental touching/moving knowledge. The presence of the “imagined reader” and the “internal supervisor” in the writing process can help in reflecting, evaluating and steering, through meta-emotional and metacognitive processes, one's own and others’ needs, aspirations and goals. This paper describes a case study evaluating the efficacy of a reading therapy on a Cantonese brain-injured patient, CSH, with hypothesised deficits to the semantic and nonsemantic reading routes. The treatment emphasised the re-establishment of phonetic radical-to-syllable correspondences in regular and partially regular phonetic compounds, and encouraged the patient to make use of the semantic information associated with the signific radical to assist her in arriving at the target pronunciation. By the end of the therapy, CSH read all the treatment items flawlessly and improved significantly on reading generalisation probes, while no observable change was found in the irregular phonetic compound control probes. Specific treatment effect was evidenced by the synchrony between the introduction of training and the marked progress seen at various treatment stages, and greater improvement on treatment than on generalisation probes. This paper overviews the phenomena of social stories in conveying social messages to children with autistic spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. The use of social stories in a clinical psychology service for children with predominantly severe learning disabilities is discussed. The lack of social work intervention models targeted toward the specific mental health needs of Black women has been recognized as a major gap in our knowledge concerning effective treatment. More recently, group work has been recognized as a useful and effective method of treatment for this population. This paper discusses the utility of a culturally specific, group intervention with Black women aimed at enhancing psychosocial competence as an effective mechanism to assist Black women in coping with the tasks of life and contributes to their ability to master life events. Introduction: Pediatric renal transplantation has been heavily published since the 1950s. Herein, we describe the bibliometrics and impact of the 200 most‐cited pediatric renal transplantation manuscripts. Methods: We identified pediatric renal transplantation publications from 1900 onwards. Year, citations, h‐index, geographic origin, impact factor, topic, and design of the 200 top‐cited papers were extracted. Impact index was calculated, adjusting for citation volume and time since publication. Results: Of the top 200 papers, mean citation count was 80 ± 40, impact factor 3.9 ± 3.7, h‐index 35 ± 20, and impact index 25 ± 13. Studies were mostly retrospective (31%) or observational (32%). Most papers originated from the United States (58%), Germany (9%), and Italy (6%), which did not correlate with citation counts. Transplantation (18%), Pediatric Nephrology (16%), and American Journal of Transplantation (11%) had the highest publication volume, which did not correlate with citation count. The main topics were medical renal disease, drug monitoring, compliance, and viruses. Most of the top‐cited papers (179; 90%) were published after 1991. The difference in the number of times cited between papers published before and after 1991 was insignificant (75 ± 24 vs 80 ± 42; P = 0.59). There was a difference in impact index for the same period (48 ± 15 vs 22 ± 10; P < 0.01). Conclusions: The most‐cited papers were concentrated in three journals, but the top three cited papers were published elsewhere. Recent publications were more cited with a higher impact than older papers. Despite the importance of surgery in transplantation, there is a paucity of high‐impact papers on this topic. How to explore the interaction between an individual researcher and others in scientific research, find out the degree of association among individual researchers, and evaluate the contribution of researchers to the whole according to the mechanism and law of interaction, is of great significance to grasp the overall trend of the field. Scholars mostly use bibliometrics to solve these problems and analyze the citation and cooperation among academic achievements from the dimension of "quantity". However, there is still no mature method for scholars to explore the evolution of knowledge and the relationship between authors; this paper tries to fill this gap. We narrow down the scope of research and focus the research content on the literature in biology and chemistry, collect all the papers from PubMed system (a very comprehensive authoritative database of biomedical papers) during 2014–2018, and take year as a specific analysis unit so as to improve the accuracy of the analysis. Then, we construct the author cooperation networks. Finally, through the above methods and steps, we identify the core authors of each year, analyze the recent cooperative relationships among authors, and predict some changes in the cooperative relationship among the authors based on the networks' analytical data, evaluating and estimating the role that authors play in the overall field. The number of scholarly publications on the topic of biosensors has increased rapidly; as a result, it is no longer easy to build an informed overview of the developments solely by manual means. Furthermore, with many new research results being continually published, it is useful to form an up-to-date understanding of the recent trends or emergent directions in the field. This paper utilizes bibliometric methods to provide an overview of the developments in the topic based on scholarly publications. The results indicate an increasing interest in the topic of biosensor(s) with newly emerging sub-topics. The US is identified as the country with highest total contribution to this area, but as a collective, EU countries top the list of total contributions. An examination of trends over the years indicates that in recent years, China-based authors have been more productive in this area. If research contribution per capita is considered, Singapore takes the top position, followed by Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark. While the number of publications on biosensors seems to have declined in recent years in the PubMed database, this is not the case in the Web of Science database. However, there remains an indication that the rate of growth in the more recent years is slowing. This paper also presents a comparison of the developments in publications on biosensors with the full set of publications in two of the main journals in the field. In more recent publications, synthetic biology, smartphone, fluorescent biosensor, and point-of-care testing are among the terms that have received more attention. Applications of neuroimaging methods have substantially contributed to the scientific understanding of human factors during driving by providing a deeper insight into the neuro-cognitive aspects of driver brain. This has been achieved by conducting simulated (and occasionally, field) driving experiments while collecting driver brain signals of various types. Here, this sector of studies is comprehensively reviewed at both macro and micro scales. At the macro scale, bibliometric aspects of these studies are analysed. At the micro scale, different themes of neuroimaging driving behaviour research are identified and the findings within each theme are synthesised. The surveyed literature has reported on applications of four major brain imaging methods. These include Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Electroencephalography (EEG), Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and Magnetoencephalography (MEG), with the first two being the most common methods in this domain. While collecting driver fMRI signal has been particularly instrumental in studying neural correlates of intoxicated driving (e.g. alcohol or cannabis) or distracted driving, the EEG method has been predominantly utilised in relation to the efforts aiming at development of automatic fatigue/drowsiness detection systems, a topic to which the literature on neuro-ergonomics of driving particularly has shown a spike of interest within the last few years. The survey also reveals that topics such as driver brain activity in semi-automated settings or neural activity of drivers with brain injuries or chronic neurological conditions have by contrast been investigated to a very limited extent. Potential topics in driving behaviour research are identified that could benefit from the adoption of neuroimaging methods in future studies. In terms of practicality, while fMRI and MEG experiments have proven rather invasive and technologically challenging for adoption in driving behaviour research, EEG and fNIRS applications have been more diverse. They have even been tested beyond simulated driving settings, in field driving experiments. Advantages and limitations of each of these four neuroimaging methods in the context of driving behaviour experiments are outlined in the paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
