In recent years, thin-film solar cells (TFSCs) such as the third generation based on earth-abundant elements have received more and more attention due to their high efficiency, low cost-effective, adjustable bandgap, non-toxicity, environmentally friendly, high absorption coefficient (>104 cm−1) and its p-type conductivity. In this study, the SCAPS-1D (Solar Cell capacitance Simulator one dimension) simulator was used to investigate the performance of four solar cells heterojunctions CuSbS2/CdS, Sb2S3/CdS, CZGSe/CdS, and CZTSSe/CdS. We have studied the effect of the thickness and the hole concentration of the absorber layer on the device performance. Furthermore, J-V characteristics and quantum efficiency are also studied to compare the performance of CZTSSe, Sb2S3, CuSbS2 and CZGSe solar cells. We found that the device with Sb2S3 is the best with the higher efficiency of 27,15%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
