Deep neural networks are vulnerable to attacks, posing significant security concerns across various applications, particularly in computer vision. Adversarial training has demonstrated effectiveness in improving the robustness of deep learning models by incorporating perturbations into the input space during training. Recently, adversarial training has been successfully applied to deep recommender systems. In these systems, user and item embeddings are perturbed through a minimax game, with constraints on perturbation directions, to enhance the model's robustness and generalization. However, they still fail to defend against iterative attacks, which have shown an over 60% increase in effectiveness in the computer vision domain. Deep recommender systems may therefore be more susceptible to iterative attacks, which might lead to generalization failures. In this paper, we adapt iterative examples for deep recommender systems. Specifically, we propose a Deep Recommender with Iteration Directional Adversarial Training (DRIDAT) that combines attention mechanism and directional adversarial training for recommendations. Firstly, we establish a consumer-product collaborative attention to convey consumers different preferences on their interested products and the distinct preferences of different consumers on the same product they like. Secondly, we train the DRIDAT objective function using adversarial learning to minimize the impact of iterative attack. In addition, the maximum direction attack could push the embedding vector of input attacks towards instances with distinct labels. We mitigate this problem by implementing suitable constraints on the direction of the attack. Finally, we perform a series of evaluations on two prominent datasets. The efficacy of e-commerce conversion rates relies on precise and personalized product recommendations within recommendation systems (RS). While collaborative filtering-based RS has demonstrated success, challenges such as sparsity and cold-start issues in the user-item matrix can impede optimal functionality. To address these challenges, there is a need to integrate additional information sources, encompassing item/user profiles and textual reviews. This study introduces an innovative RS architecture that seamlessly combines self-supervised learning (SSL) and collaborative filtering techniques with BERT-DNN to surmount these obstacles. The distinctiveness of our approach lies in integrating self-supervised learning with collaborative filtering and contextualized data obtained from BERT-DNN, providing a profound understanding of item profiles to enhance comprehension of user preferences and item characteristics. This refined understanding, operational in conjunction with collaborative filtering models like ItemKNN and UserKNN, empowers the system to generate highly personalized recommendations. The proposed method entails several pivotal steps: developing the BERT language model for textual embeddings in item profiles, conducting dimensionality reduction, constructing a Deep Neural Network, implementing self-supervised learning with both UserKNN and ItemKNN CF methods, and employing an ensemble learning technique. Empirical results substantiate the efficacy of our approach, with a specific focus on the innovative fusion of BERT-DNN with self-supervised learning and KNN CF methodologies, showcasing substantial improvements across diverse performance metrics. Tourism recommendation systems have tended to become popular in recent years. Due to the fact that tourism content is generally with the format of multimodal information, existing research works mostly ignored the fusion of various feature types. To deal with this issue, this paper resorts to multimodal fusion of semantic analysis and image comprehension, and proposes a novel deep learning-based recommender system for tourism routes. First, semantic analysis under tourism route search is conducted, in order to complete destination selection and process selection. Then, image comprehension of overall tourism route planning is conducted by establishing an end-to-end object recognition model. Finally, the previous two parts of characteristics are fused together to formulate an integrated recommender system with multimodal sensing ability. This thought is expected to bring a stronger ability for tourism route discovery. Empirically, operational efficiency and stability analysis are carried out on real-world data to evaluate the performance of the proposal. With the wide application of the intelligent news algorithm in the news industry, its recommendation mechanism has become the primary way for news consumers to obtain information. This study explores the intelligent news algorithm recommendation mechanism’s risk management measures and optimization schemes. Thus, people can get transparent news information more efficiently. Firstly, the study classifies and analyzes the risks of information filtering bias, information cocoon effect, and information bubble in intelligent news algorithm recommendation mechanism and collects and introduces large-scale news data as a data source. Secondly, the intelligent news algorithm recommendation model based on the convolutional neural network is constructed. The model uses word embedding technology to transform news articles into vector representations and trains the model to learn the feature representations of news articles and the correlation between them. Moreover, the loss function and weight of the model are adjusted to improve the diversity and balance of the recommendation results. Finally, simulation experiments are carried out to evaluate the model’s performance. The results reveal that the information diversity of the system model in this study is increased by 15%, and user satisfaction and the information quality index are increased by 10% and 7%. It proves the importance of diversified data sources, algorithm transparency and explainability, user feedback and participation, and balanced recommendation strategies to reduce risk and improve the performance of recommendation mechanisms. The Remote Sensing Image Change Captioning (RSICC) has recently emerged in the field of remote sensing image interpretation; it aims to automatically predict natural language captions of significant semantic changes in bi-temporal remote sensing images. Recent studies of RSICC have improved the accuracy of change captions of bi-temporal remote sensing images to a large extent. Nevertheless, there still remain challenges in multi-scale perception of ground objects and feature enhancement of bi-temporal remote sensing images. To address these challenges and further improve the accuracy of RSICC, a novel deep learning–based end-to-end scale-wised feature enhancement network (SFEN) is proposed in this paper. SFEN integrates four efficient blocks: 1) the siamese backbone network (SBN) to extract initial features of bi-temporal remote sensing images, 2) the siamese receptive field fusion (SRFF) block to explicitly capture multi-scale semantic information of ground objects in bi-temporal feature maps, 3) the siamese global feature enhancement (SGFE) block to adaptively enhance key information and filtering redundant features of bi-temporal feature maps in both channel and spatial dimensions, 4) the change caption decoder (CCD) to map bi-temporal feature maps into natural language. The SFEN aims to precisely capture significant semantic information of ground objects in bi-temporal remote sensing images and predict accurate change captions. Agriculture plays a pivotal role in the economy of most countries, serving as a primary source of livelihood and sustenance. In the case of India, it occupies a substantial portion of the nation's land. This article proposes the integration of IoT (Internet of Things) and an automated irrigation system with ML/DL (Machine Learning and Deep Learning) to revolutionize agriculture. The implementation of crop monitoring through sensors not only eases the burden on farmers but also enhances crop productivity. The system, at its core, monitors crucial field parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, and humidity. Given the increasing importance of efficient water management in agriculture, this study outlines an automated irrigation system that leverages cloud computing and IoT to curtail water consumption. Its primary objective is to gather and consolidate data from diverse sources, including data generated by sensors and IoT devices. This centralized data storage approach facilitates seamless data integration from various locations and devices. Through the application of algorithms and dataset analysis, the study determines that the cultivation of "Spider" plants is more favorable when compared to other plant species. Notably, the Random Forest classifier emerged as the most accurate, achieving an impressive 94.77% accuracy rate in this project. This paper introduces a novel method called AcoRec, which employs an enhanced version of Continuous Ant Colony Optimization for hyper-parameter adjustment and integrates a non-deterministic model to generate diverse recommendation lists. AcoRec is designed for cold-start users and long-tail item recommendations by leveraging implicit data from collaborative filtering techniques. Continuous Ant Colony Optimization is revisited with the convenience and flexibility of deep learning solid methods and extended within the AcoRec model. The approach computes stochastic variations of item probability values based on the initial predictions derived from a selected item-similarity model. The structure of the AcoRec model enables efficient handling of high-dimensional data while maintaining an effective balance between diversity and high recall, leading to recommendation lists that are both varied and highly relevant to user tastes. Our results demonstrate that AcoRec outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods, including two random-walk models, a graph-based approach, a well-known vanilla autoencoder model, an ACO-based model, and baseline models with related similarity measures, across various evaluation scenarios. The Internet era is an era of information explosion. By 2022, the global Internet users have reached more than 4 billion, and the social media users have exceeded 3 billion. People face a lot of news content every day, and it is almost impossible to get interesting information by browsing all the news content. Under this background, personalized news recommendation technology has been widely used, but it still needs to be further optimized and improved. In order to better push the news content of interest to different readers, users' satisfaction with major news websites should be further improved. This study proposes a new recommendation algorithm based on deep learning and reinforcement learning. Firstly, the RL algorithm is introduced based on deep learning. Deep learning is excellent in processing large-scale data and complex pattern recognition, but it often faces the challenge of low sample efficiency when it comes to complex decision-making and sequential tasks. While reinforcement learning (RL) emphasizes learning optimization strategies through continuous trial and error through interactive learning with the environment. Compared with deep learning, RL is more suitable for scenes that need long-term decision-making and trial-and-error learning. By feeding back the reward signal of the action, the system can better adapt to the unknown environment and complex tasks, which makes up for the relative shortcomings of deep learning in these aspects. A scenario is applied to an action to solve the sequential decision problem in the news dissemination process. In order to enable the news recommendation system to consider the dynamic changes in users' interest in news content, the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient algorithm is applied to the news recommendation scenario. Opposing learning complements and combines Deep Q-network with the strategic network. On the basis of fully summarizing and thinking, this paper puts forward the mode of intelligent news dissemination and push. The push process of news communication information based on edge computing technology is proposed. Finally, based on Area Under Curve a Q-Leaning Area Under Curve for RL models is proposed. This indicator can measure the strengths and weaknesses of RL models efficiently and facilitates comparing models and evaluating offline experiments. The results show that the DDPG algorithm improves the click-through rate by 2.586% compared with the conventional recommendation algorithm. It shows that the algorithm designed in this paper has more obvious advantages in accurate recommendation by users. This paper effectively improves the efficiency of news dissemination by optimizing the push mode of intelligent news dissemination. Capturing dynamic preference features from user historical behavioral data is widely applied to improve the accuracy of recommendations in sequential recommendation tasks. However, existing deep neural network-based sequential recommendation methods often ignore the noise information in user behavioral data that influence recommendation effectiveness, making recommendation models sensitive to noisy data. Additionally, these deep learning-based recommendation models often require a large number of parameters to capture user behavior patterns, leading to higher time complexity and susceptibility to overfitting due to noise fluctuations. To address these issues, in this paper, we apply the moving average concept from the field of time-series analysis to sequential recommendation tasks. The approach smooths sequence data, removes noise, making the data more stable and reliable, increases the model's insensitivity to noise information, and better understands the evolution of user interests and behavioral patterns. Specifically, in our experiments, the moving average algorithm effectively denoises sequential data with low time complexity. Therefore, we propose a Sequential Recommendation with Exponential Moving Average with MLP architecture that makes the model more competitive in terms of time complexity. Improving the accuracy of recommendation systems is a hot research topic, and existing methods have not considered the differences in various types of data. To address this issue, we propose a collaborative filtering recommendation method that combines evaluation relationships and emotional relationships. The emotional relationship is derived from implicit feedback data, and we can exploit the neural network to learn the emotional relationship between users and items. The evaluation relationship is derived from explicit feedback data; similarly, we can exploit the neural network to learn the evaluation relationship between users and items. To obtain emotional and evaluation relationships, we design vector representation and interaction functions based on explicit and implicit feedback data. Moreover, we propose that deep neural networks can be used to integrate evaluation and emotional relationships. To effectively integrate emotional and evaluation relationships, we design multiple data fusion strategies, loss functions, and training strategies. Experimental studies were conducted on five benchmark datasets, and the results show that the collaborative filtering recommendation method based on emotional evaluation relationships can further improve the accuracy of recommendation systems. To recommend useful information to users more efficiently, this paper proposes a dual-path recommendation algorithm which combines multilayer Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and attention-enhanced long short-term memory network (Attention-LSTM). Firstly, the matrix factorisation technique is used for learning the long-term preferences of users. Secondly, a dual-path network based on CNN and LSTM is constructed to perform feature extraction on the rating matrix. The dual-path network can learn the long-term preferences of users while capturing their dynamic preferences in changing preferences. Cloud computing has become ubiquitous in modern society, facilitating various applications ranging from essential services to online entertainment. To ensure that quality of service (QoS) standards are met, cloud frameworks must be capable of adapting to the changing demands of users, reflecting the societal trend of collaboration and dependence on automated processing systems. This research introduces an innovative approach for link prediction and user cloud recommendation, leveraging nano-grid applications and deep learning techniques within a cloud computing framework. Heuristic graph convolutional networks predict data transmission links in cloud networks. The trust-based hybrid decision matrix algorithm is then employed to schedule links based on user recommendations. The proposed model and several baselines are evaluated using real-world networks and synthetic data sets. The experimental analysis includes QoS, mean average precision, root mean square error, precision, normalized square error, and sensitivity metrics. The proposed technique achieves QoS of 73%, mean average precision of 59%, root mean square error of 73%, precision of 76%, normalized square error of 86%, and sensitivity of 93%. With the massive amount of data available on the Internet, many users face problems when they need access to the information and goods they need. Adapting information to user needs has become a complex and time-consuming process. Recommender systems are powerful tools for guiding users in electronic settings to information, services, and goods of interest. With the ability to identify users and predict their preferences, recommender systems can extract information likely to be of interest to users from vast amounts of data and save time and energy by providing them with relevant recommendations. Therefore, in this paper, a framework for a recommender system is proposed, which consists of four main phases. In the first phase, the preprocessing operation is performed. The purpose of this phase is to create an ontology model for products based on the convolutional neural network method. Data collection operations are carried out in the second phase. The purpose of this phase is to receive and store user information based on behavior and different criteria. The third phase is related to creating an ontology. The purpose of this phase is to create an ontology model for user behavior using OWL libraries. Finally, in the last phase, finding similarities and presented a proposal. The purpose of this phase is the necessary calculations of the proposed framework in the similarity finding section using ontology models. Simulation results show that the proposed framework measures MAE (more than 10 and 15%), RMSE (more than 12 and 16%), precision (less than 10 and 13%), recall (more than 25 and 28%), F1-score (higher than 25 and 30%) and Score of User (higher than 15 and 17%) outperform two related approaches, namely CF and CF+ Ontology, respectively. Click‐through rate (CTR) prediction is a pivotal challenge in recommendation systems. Existing models are prone to disturbances from noise and redundant features, hindering their ability to fully capture implicit and higher‐order feature interactions present in sparse feature data. Moreover, conventional dual‐tower models overlook the significance of layer‐level feature interactions. To address these limitations, this article introduces Gate‐enhanced Multi‐space Interactive Neural Networks (GMINN), a novel model for CTR prediction. GMINN adopts a dual‐tower architecture in which a multi‐space interaction layer is introduced after each layer in the dual‐tower deep neural network. This layer allocates features into multiple subspaces and employs matrix multiplication to establish layer‐level interactions between the dual towers. Simultaneously, a field‐aware gate mechanism is proposed to extract crucial latent information from the original features. Experimental validation on publicly available datasets, Criteo and Avazu, demonstrates the superiority of the proposed GMINN model. Comparative analyses against baseline models reveal that GMINN substantially improves up to 4.09% in AUC and a maximum reduction of 7.21% in Logloss. The widespread adoption of Electronic Healthcare Records has resulted in an abundance of healthcare data. This data holds significant potential for improving healthcare services by providing valuable clinical insights and enhancing clinical decision-making. This paper presents a patient classification methodology that utilizes a multiclass and multilabel diagnostic approach to predict the patient's clinical class. The proposed model effectively handles comorbidities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The implementation leverages the MIMIC III database as a data source to create a phenotyping dataset and train the models. Various machine learning models are employed in this study. Notably, the natural language processing-based One-Vs-Rest classifier achieves the best classification results, maintaining accuracy and F1 scores even with a large number of classes. The patient diagnostic class prediction model, based on the International Classification of Diseases 9, showcased in this paper, has broad applications in diagnostic support, treatment prediction, clinical assistance, recommender systems, clinical decision support systems, and clinical knowledge discovery engines. Background: Recommendations for cosmetics are gaining popularity, but they are not being made with consideration of the analysis of cosmetic ingredients, which customers consider important when selecting cosmetics. Aims: This article aims to propose a method for estimating the efficacy of cosmetics based on their ingredients and introduces a system that recommends personalized products for consumers, combined with AI skin analysis. Methods: We constructed a deep neural network architecture to analyze sequentially arranged cosmetic ingredients in the product and incorporated skin analysis models to get the precise skin status of users from frontal face images. Our recommendation system makes decisions based on the results optimized for the individual. Results: Our cosmetic recommendation system has shown its effectiveness through reliable evaluation metrics, and numerous examples have demonstrated its ability to make reasonable recommendations for various skin problems. Conclusion: The result shows that deep learning methods can be used to predict the effects of products based on their cosmetic ingredients and are available for use in personalized cosmetic recommendations. Motivation The rapid expansion of Bioinformatics research has led to a proliferation of computational tools for scientific analysis pipelines. However, constructing these pipelines is a demanding task, requiring extensive domain knowledge and careful consideration. As the Bioinformatics landscape evolves, researchers, both novice and expert, may feel overwhelmed in unfamiliar fields, potentially leading to the selection of unsuitable tools during workflow development. Results In this article, we introduce the Bioinformatics Tool Recommendation system (BTR), a deep learning model designed to recommend suitable tools for a given workflow-in-progress. BTR leverages recent advances in graph neural network technology, representing the workflow as a graph to capture essential context. Natural language processing techniques enhance tool recommendations by analyzing associated tool descriptions. Experiments demonstrate that BTR outperforms the existing Galaxy tool recommendation system, showcasing its potential to streamline scientific workflow construction. Fairness has become a critical value online, and the latest studies consider it in many problems. In recommender systems, fairness is important since the visibility of items is controlled by systems. Previous fairness-aware recommender systems assume that sufficient relationship data between users and items are available. However, it is common that new users and items are frequently introduced, and they have no relationship data yet. In this paper, we study recommendation methods to enhance fairness in a cold-start state. Fairness is more significant when the preference of a user or the popularity of an item is unknown. We propose a meta-learning-based cold-start recommendation framework called FaRM to alleviate the unfairness of recommendations. The proposed framework consists of three steps. We first propose a fairness-aware meta-path generation method to eliminate bias in sensitive attributes. In addition, we construct fairness-aware user representations through the meta-path aggregation approach. Then, we propose a novel fairness objective function and introduce a joint learning method to minimize the trade-off between relevancy and fairness. In extensive experiments with various cold-start scenarios, it is shown that FaRM is significantly superior in fairness performance while preserving relevance accuracy over previous work. Recommender systems are becoming more and more significant in today's digital world and in the modern economy. They make a substantial contribution to company operations by offering tailored advice and decreasing overwhelm. Collaborative filtering, being popular in the domain of recommendation, is used to offer recommendations to attract the target audience based on the feedback of people with comparable interests. This method has some limitations, such as a cold-start issue, which makes the system less effective in anticipating unknown objects. We provide a hybrid deep-learning-based strategy centered on a method to enrich user and item profiles to address the cold-start issue in the recommendation process using a collaborative filtering approach. We employ pretrained deep learning models to produce rich user and item feature vectors that aid in the creation of useful suggestions and handling of user and item cold-start issues. The creation of more precise and tailored similarity matrices is made possible by adding metadata to the extracted features of the user and item. In e-commerce, the session-based personalized recommendation remains challenging due to the limited user information within a single session. Merely relying on a user's local data is insufficient. It is vital to consider global data, extracting insights from sessions across all users to glean collaborative information. However, using all session information will waste computing resources. Moreover, much of the global data may not be pertinent to the current user, thereby undermining the quality of recommendations. To address this, we introduce the concept of personalized next session (PNS), selectively referencing sessions most relevant to the user to enhance the limited local data. This work is the first to adopt a deep network architecture study that incorporates the concept of PNS to recommend the next item for a user in the current session. Social networks are widely used platforms for sharing various information and content, including text, images, and videos.The main challenge in social networking today is the verification of data credibility and the identification of genuine social media profiles. Cybercriminals take advantage of this by utilizing fake profiles to disseminate false information. However, current research mainly concentrates on spam filtering and analyzing malicious behavior separately, disregarding the interrelated nature of these issues. We propose a more desirable global, hybrid solution that encompasses both malicious profile detection and spam detection to mitigate the spread of spam effectively. This paper offers a deep learning-based method for detecting malicious profiles and spam tweets. For the profiles to interact with them as legitimate profiles, we first provide the detection of fake profiles using an automated honeypot. Next, we detect those who make interactions as malicious profiles, and finally, we collect their shared content to find spam tweets using a convolution neural network algorithm. We suggest using collaborative filtering and content filtering algorithms from recommender systems to define accounts similar to harmful profiles and spam similar to spam material picked up by convolution neural networks. In the present scenario, the product recommendation system is important to boost sales on many e-commerce websites. The majority of the existing product recommendation systems completely rely on the customer's website browsing history or historical transaction records to precisely predict the user's preferences for online product recommendations that are constrained by the limited information available on the e-commerce websites. Usually, processing the customer's feedback is a difficult procedure, where it is tough in interpreting and analyzing the text information. Therefore, an effective deep learning-based recommendation framework is implemented in this research manuscript. After acquiring text information from the amazon product reviews database, the data pre-processing is carried-out by using stemming, lemmatization, and stop word removal techniques. The undertaken pre-processing techniques remove both inconsistent and duplicate data that eases the process of data interpretation and use. Further, the computational time of the model is decreased by removing inconsistent and duplicate data from the original dataset. Then, the feature values are extracted from the pre-processed text data using the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) technique. The extracted feature values are fed to the enhanced convolutional-neural-networks (CNNs) for sentiment analysis. The enhanced CNN model uses Glove as a pre-trained model with a skip-gram in the word-embedding layer for identifying the relevant product ratings based on the user's experience to further enhance product sentiment analysis. The embedding layer in the enhanced CNN-model effectively converts every word into fixed feature vectors that helps in better word representation along with reduced dimensions. The enhanced CNN model obtained a mean recall of 94.80%, the precision of 93.64%, and accuracy of 96.92% on the amazon product reviews database and it is superior to the traditional CNN. Low-light image enhancement based on deep learning has achieved breakthroughs recently. However, the current methods based on deep learning have problems with inadequate resolution enhancement or inadequate contrast. To address these problems, this paper proposes a resolution and contrast fusion network with ConvLSTM (RCFNC) for low-light image enhancement. The network is mainly constructed by four parts, including resolution enhancement branch, contrast enhancement branch, multi-scale feature fusion block (MFFB), and convolution long short-time memory block (ConvLSTM). Specifically, to improve the resolution of the low-light image, a resolution enhancement branch consisting of multi-scale differential feature blocks is proposed, using residual features at different scales to enhance the spatial details of image. To enhance the contrast of the image, a contrast enhancement branch consisting of adaptive convolution residual blocks is introduced to learn the mapping relationship between global and local features in the image. In addition, a weighted fusion is performed using MFFB to better balance the resolution and contrast features obtained from the above branches. Finally, to improve the learning capability of the model, ConvLSTM is added to filter redundant information. Collaborative filtering (CF), a fundamental technique in personalized Recommender Systems, operates by leveraging user–item preference interactions. Matrix factorization remains one of the most prevalent CF-based methods. However, recent advancements in deep learning have spurred the development of hybrid models, which extend matrix factorization, particularly with autoencoders, to capture nonlinear item relationships. Despite these advancements, many proposed models often neglect dynamic changes in the rating process and overlook user features. By incorporating item–user features into the timeSVD++ framework, the proposed model aims to address the static nature and sparsity issues inherent in existing models. Our model utilizes a contractive autoencoder (CAE) to enhance the capacity to capture a robust and stable representation of user-specific and item-specific features, accommodating temporal variations in user preferences and leveraging item characteristics. Deep learning is a powerful technique to boost application performance in various fields, including face recognition, image classification, natural language understanding, and recommendation system. With the rapid increase in the computing power of mobile devices, developers can embed deep learning models into their apps for building more competitive products with more accurate and faster responses. Although there are several works of adversarial attacks against deep learning models in apps, they all need information about the models' internals (i.e., structures and weights) or need to modify the models. In this paper, we propose an effective black‐box approach by training substitute models to spoof the deep learning systems inside the apps. We evaluate our approach on 10 real‐world deep‐learning apps from Google Play to perform black‐box adversarial attacks. Through the study, we find three factors that can affect the performance of attacks. Our approach can reach a relatively high attack success rate of 66.60% on average. Developing online educational platforms necessitates the incorporation of new intelligent procedures in order to improve long-term student experience. Presently, e-learning Recommender Systems rely on deep learning methods to recommend appropriate e-learning materials to the students based on their learner profiles. Fine-grained sentiment analysis (FSA) can be leveraged to enrich the recommender system. Users posted reviews and rating data are vital in accurately directing the student to the appropriate e-learning resources based on posted comments by comparable learners. Innovative has been made in this work to propose a new e-learning recommendation system based on individualization and FSA. A new framework is proposed based on collaborative filtering models (CFMs) integrating with fine-grained sentiment analysis (FSA) for hybrid recommendation (CFISAR) for effective recommendations. CFMs attempt to capture the learner's latent factors based on their selections of interest to build the learner profile. FSA models are introduced to deliver e-content with the highest ranked ratings related to the learner's area and interests based on the extracted learner model. Moreover, a new approach is proposed to update the system continuously and not keep it bound to certain items by adding new books, where the initial rating of these new books is predicted based on FSA models. CFISAR is explored utilizing six CFMs to generate the prediction matrix and derive the learner model, resulting in a low MSE of 0.699 for Asymmetric SVD. This paper proposes an explainable recommendation algorithm based on deep learning for developing a transparent and explainable recommendation system. The proposed algorithm combines a multi-feature fusion model for text sentiment analysis and the innovative DeepxDeepFM recommendation model to provide accurate and interpretable recommendations. First, Bi-LSTM and MCNN are employed to extract multi-dimensional features from comment data. Then, the DeepxDeepFM recommendation model is used explicitly for comment data with numerous feature vectors and significant linear changes. In the context of academic expert finding, this paper investigates and compares the performance of information retrieval (IR) and machine learning (ML) methods, including deep learning, to approach the problem of identifying academic figures who are experts in different domains when a potential user requests their expertise. IR-based methods construct multifaceted textual profiles for each expert by clustering information from their scientific publications. Several methods fully tailored for this problem are presented in this paper. In contrast, ML-based methods treat expert finding as a classification task, training automatic text classifiers using publications authored by experts. By comparing these approaches, we contribute to a deeper understanding of academic-expert-finding techniques and their applicability in knowledge discovery. These methods are tested with two large datasets from the biomedical field: PMSC-UGR and CORD-19. The cold start problem has always been a major challenge for recommender systems. It arises when the system lacks rating records for new users or items. Addressing the challenge of providing personalized recommendations in the cold start scenario is crucial. This research proposes a new hybrid recommender system named CoDFi-DL which combines demographic and enhanced collaborative filtering. The demographic filtering is performed through a deep neural network (DNN) and used to solve the new user cold start problem. The enhanced collaborative filtering component of our model focuses on delivering personalized recommendations through a neighborhood-based method. The major contribution in this research is the DNN-based demographic filtering which overcomes the new user cold start problem and enhances the collaborative filtering process. Our system significantly improves the relevancy of the recommendation task and thus provides personalized recommended items to cold users. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conducted experiments on real multi-label datasets, 1M and 100K MovieLens. This approach incorporates a deep neural network for consumer preference prediction, utilizing a multi-task learning paradigm to accommodate variations in consumer ratings. The research contribution lies in applying this network to predict consumer preference scores based on latent multimodal information and item characteristics. Initially, the architecture manages changing consumer aspects and preferences by extracting features and latent factors from customer review rating data. These latent factors include customer demographic information and other concealed features that signify preferences based on experiences and behaviours. Extracted latent features are processed using a sentiment analysis model to generate embedding latent features. A finely-tuned deep neural network with hyper-parameter adjustments serves as a prediction network, forming a customer performance-oriented recommendation system. Due to their devastating ability to extract features, convolutional neural network (CNN)-based approaches have achieved tremendous success in hyperspectral image (HSI) classification. However, previous works have been dedicated to constructing deeper or wider deep learning networks to obtain exceptional classification performance, but as the layers get deeper, the gradient disappearance problem impedes the convergence stability of network models. Additionally, previous works usually focused on utilizing fixed-scale convolutional kernels or multiple available, receptive fields with varying scales to capture features, which leads to the underutilization of information and is vulnerable to feature learning. To remedy the above issues, we propose an innovative hybrid-scale feature enhancement network (HFENet) for HSI classification. Specifically, HFENet contains two key modules: a hybrid-scale feature extraction block (HFEB) and a shuffle attention enhancement block (SAEB). HFEB is designed to excavate spectral–spatial structure information of distinct scales, types, and branches, which can augment the multiplicity of spectral–spatial features while modeling the global long-range dependencies of spectral–spatial informative features. SAEB is devised to adaptively recalibrate spectral-wise and spatial-wise feature responses to generate the purified spectral–spatial information, which effectively filters redundant information and noisy pixels and is conducive to enhancing classification performance. Deep learning technology has greatly propelled the development of intelligent and information-driven research on ship infrared automatic target recognition (SIATR). In future scenarios, there will be various recognition models with different mechanisms to choose from. However, in complex and dynamic environments, ship infrared (IR) data exhibit rich feature space distribution, resulting in performance variations among SIATR models, thus preventing the existence of a universally superior model for all recognition scenarios. In light of this, this study proposes a model-matching method for SIATR tasks based on bipartite graph theory. This method establishes evaluation criteria based on recognition accuracy and feature learning credibility, uncovering the underlying connections between IR attributes of ships and candidate models. The objective is to selectively recommend the optimal candidate model for a given sample, enhancing the overall recognition performance and applicability of the model. We separately conducted tests for the optimization of accuracy and credibility on high-fidelity simulation data, achieving Accuracy and EDMS (our credibility metric) of 95.86% and 0.7781. Our method improves by 1.06% and 0.0274 for each metric compared to the best candidate models (six in total). Subsequently, we created a recommendation system that balances two tasks, resulting in improvements of 0.43% (accuracy) and 0.0071 (EDMS). Additionally, considering the relationship between model resources and performance, we achieved a 28.35% reduction in memory usage while realizing enhancements of 0.33% (accuracy) and 0.0045 (EDMS). Nowadays, the volume of online information is growing and it is difficult to find the required information. Effective strategies such as recommender systems are required to overcome information overload. Collaborative filtering is a widely used type of recommender system in e-commerce environments and can simply provide suggestions for users. Recently, deep learning approaches were applied in collaborative filtering to tackle some drawbacks. This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive review of recent research efforts on deep learning-based collaborative filtering recommender systems. We explain the research methodology and paper selection process and the search query. 102 papers are selected out of 719 papers that were published between 2019 and May 2023. Furthermore, the approaches in the selected papers are classified into two main categories: memory-based and model-based techniques. The main ideas, advantages, disadvantages, used tools, type of neural network, applications, and evaluation parameters of each selected paper are also discussed in detail. It was found that CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), AE (Autoencoder), DNN (Deep neural network), and Hybrid networks are the four mostly used neural networks in recommender systems. Also, Python, MATLAB, and Java are the most frequently used tools in the reviewed papers. Regarding the applications of the recommender systems in the reviewed papers, movies, products, and music recommendation are three most frequent applications. A recommendation system (RS) can help overcome information overload issues by offering personalized predictions for users. Typically, RS considers the overall ratings of users on items to generate recommendations for them. However, users may consider several aspects when evaluating items. Recommender systems using IoT and deep learning play a vital part in creating an engaging experience on online music streaming platforms. However, in the musical domain, it is quite challenging to build a recommender system as some of the tracks are short. Similarly, some are listened to several times or generally consumed in sessions with other tracks. The recommendation of the next track is highly context dependent. Traditional recommendation algorithms were not able to extract deep-level features from the audio signal and effectively mine user's preferred music. Therefore, this paper aims to propose a deep learning-based model to build a music recommendation algorithm. The algorithm first preprocesses the original data, and then generates the Mel spectrogram feature set through fast Fourier transform and Mel filter processing. After applying logarithmic operation, these spectrograms are then fed to the convolutional neural network algorithm to categorize music tracks. The inference results are used to understand the user's preferences and recommend their favorite music tracks. In an age of big data and information overload, recommendation systems have evolved rapidly. Throughout the traditional design of interior spaces, the specialised nature of the work and the high rate of human involvement has led to high costs. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, it provides a favourable environment for reducing the development cost of the system. This study proposes a two-stage modelling scheme based on deep learning networks for the intelligent design of display space layouts, divided into two parts: matching and layout, which greatly improves design efficiency. The research results show that through comparison tests, its prediction accuracy reaches more than 80%, which can well meet the matching requirements of household products. The training number of Epochs is between 15 and 30, its training curve tends to saturate and the best accuracy can reach 100%, while the running time of the hybrid algorithm proposed in this study is only 20.716 s, which is significantly better compared with other algorithms. As a typical deep learning technique, Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN) has been successfully applied to the recommendation systems. Aiming at the leakage risk of user privacy and the problem of fraudulent data in the recommendation systems, a Privacy Preserving Recommendation and Fraud Detection method based on Graph Convolution (PPRFD-GC) is proposed in the paper. After calculating user's Mean Square Error (MSE) of rating prediction and generating dense representation of the user, then a fraud detection classifier based on AdaBoost is presented to identify possible fraudsters. In this paper, we have used different performance metrics to study the performance of various quantization frameworks, including TensorFlow automatic mixed precision and TensorRT. These performance metrics include training time and memory utilization in the training stage along with latency and throughput for graphics processing units (GPUs) in the inference stage. We have applied the automatic mixed precision (AMP) technique during the training stage using the TensorFlow framework, while for inference we have utilized the TensorRT framework for the post-training quantization technique using the TensorFlow TensorRT (TF-TRT) application programming interface (API).We performed model profiling for different deep learning models, datasets, image sizes, and batch sizes for both the training and inference stages, the results of which can help developers and researchers to devise and deploy efficient deep learning models for GPUs. As a result, there are many movies listed on the recommendation page, which provides for a poor user experience is the major issue. Therefore, in this work, a novel Taymon Optimized Deep Learning network (TODL net) for recommending top best movies based on their past choices, behaviour and movie contents. The deep neural network is a combination of Dilated CNN with Bi-directional LSTM. The DiCNN-BiLSTM model eliminates the functionality pooling operations and uses a dilated convolution layer to address the issue of information loss. The DiCNN is employed to learn the movie contents by mining user behavioral pattern attributes. The BiLSTM is applied to recommend the best movies on basis of the extracted features of the movie rating sequences of users in other social mediums. Moreover, for providing better results the DiCNN-BiLSTM is optimized with Taymon optimization algorithm to recommend best movies for the users. The dress of a person can provide information like culture, status, gender, and personality. Dress classification can help us improve e-commerce, image-based search engines for the fashion industry, video surveillance, and social media image categorization. Deep learning is emerging as one of the most powerful classification techniques in many fields like medicine, business, and science. In the fashion industry, Convolutional Neural Networks have played a vital role in dress identification classification, but it is still a difficult task due to cluttered backgrounds, different poses, and lack of fashion datasets with rich classes and annotations. To complement the small-sized datasets, transfer learning is being widely used in training deep learning models. Current research applies transfer learning in two steps on the InceptionV3 model pre-trained on the ImageNet dataset. First, the pre-trained model is fine-tuned on DeepFashion dataset to transfer the domain of learned parameters toward fashion. In the second step, the model is fine-tuned on Pak Dataset a collection of Asian cultural fashion images having cluttered backgrounds. Experiments show the robustness and usefulness of two-step transfer learning in the classification of fashion images having cluttered backgrounds. Dress classification can be used for fashion image retrieval systems and recommendation systems. To address the problem of insufficient recommendation performance in session recommendation, this paper proposed a disentangled graph neural network model (GDST-GNN) using global graph diffusion and spatio-temporal awareness. Specifically, the model firstly constructed a global collaborative graph based on all sessions from a global perspective, and then employed graph diffusion as the message propagation paradigm for global representation learning of items to capture global information be- yond the current session. For the representation learning of the current session, this paper designed a disentangled spatio-temporal gated network modeling the complex transition pattern and temporal dependency pattern of items in the session, and then fused the learned global and local representations factor by factor. In addition, this paper employed a self-supervised task to achieve performance enhancement of the model. Finally, it generated session representations through attention networks to achieve accurate recommendation of items. Deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) have shown remarkable performance in image classification tasks in recent years. In the network structure of DPRN, as the network depth increases, the number of convolutional kernels also increases linearly or nonlinearly. On the one hand, in the DPRN block, the size of the receptive field is only 3 × 3, which results in insufficient network ability to extract feature map information of different filter sizes. On the other hand, the number of convolution kernels in the second 1x1 convolution will be multiplied by a coefficient relative to the first convolution, which can cause overfitting to some extent. In order to overcome these weaknesses, we introduce the inception-like structure on the basis of the DPRN network which is called by pyramid inceptional residual networks (PIRN). In addition, we also discuss the performance of PIRN network with squeeze and excitation (SE) mechanism and regularization term. Furthermore, some results in network performance are discussed when adding a stochastic depth networkto the PIRN model. Compared to DPRN, PIRN achieved better results on the CIFAR10, CIFAR100, and Mini-ImageNet datasets. In the case of using zero-padding, the multiplicative PIRN with SE mechanism achieves the best result of 95.01% on the CIFAR10 dataset. Meanwhile, on the CIFAR100 and Mini-ImageNet datasets, the additive PIRN network with a network depth of 92 achieves the best results of 76.06% and 65.86%, respectively. According to the experimental results, our method has achieved better accuray than that of DPRN with same network settings which demonstrate its effectiveness in generalization ability. In recent generations of the digital world medical data in Recommender Systems. Health Care Recommender System (HCRS) analyses the medical data and then predicts the user's or patient's illness. Nowadays, healthcare data is used by various users or patients in recommendation systems which are useful for everyone. Analysing and predicting medical data provides awareness to users and these data predictions may be enriched using various techniques of RS. Machine learning techniques are used to make sure that health data is reliable and of high quality. In every RS the issues are targeted such as scalability, sparsity and cold start problems. In many social networking applications, these issues are resolved using ML algorithms. However, there is a significant gap between IT systems and medical diagnosis. The fuzzy genetic method is used in HCRS in order to bridge the gap between IT and healthcare applications. Through the use of the mutation and crossover operators, a real-value genetic method is used in this to compute similarity. With the user's extra personalized information, fuzzy rules are later generated for the database. The Hybrid fuzzy-genetic method, also known as this situation, combines both techniques to improve recommendation quality. Utilizing this method will improve the quality of the recommendation process by discovering the most precise similarity measures among different users. Six factors are subjected to fuzzification, including age, gender, employment, height, weight, and region. Genre-interesting measure weights are then used, including Very Light, Light, Average, Heavy, and Very Heavy. Finally, the evaluation metrics used MAE and RMSE to evaluate the recommendation accuracy which showed the best results in comparison with baseline approaches such as Convolutional Neural Networks and Restricted Boltzman Machine. Recommendation systems (RS) are crucial for social networking sites. Without it, finding precise products is harder. However, existing systems lack adequate efficiency, especially with big data. This paper presents a prototype cloud-based recommendation system for processing big data. The proposed work is implemented by utilizing the matrix factorization method with three approaches. In the first approach, singular value decomposition (SVD) is used, which is an old and traditional recommendation technique. The second recommendation approach is fine-tuned using the alternating least squares (ALS) algorithm with Apache Spark. Finally, the deep neural network (DNN) algorithm is utilized with TensorFlow. This study solves the challenge of handling large-scale datasets in the collaborative filtering (CF) technique after tuning the algorithms by adjusting the parameters in the second approach, which uses machine learning, as well as in the third approach, which uses deep learning. Furthermore, the results of these two approaches outperformed conventional techniques and achieved an acceptable computational time. The dataset size is about 1.5 GB and it is collected from the Goodreads website API.
