The article presents a note on a deep population of pagurus prideaux leach. Pagurus prideaux Leach is a euryecious species, populating a belt from the intertidal zone down to 250 m depth in the Mediterranean and to 410 m in the Atlantic. From a study it was found that the cephalothorax length of the females was between 7.5 and 18.0 mm (average = 10 mm) and that of males between 8.4 and 13.5 mm (average = 12 mm).1986). The average, large size of the shells of deep-sea gastropod species indicates their housing function in the absence of symbiosis with anemones, whereas shell size is much smaller when crabs live in symbiosis with anemones.
