BOBCATSSS Symposium is held annually by and for students of library and information science schools of different European universities and it takes place under the auspices of EUCLID (European Association for Library and Information Education and Research). In 2012, BOBCATSSS was organized by students of three universities: University of Amsterdam, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen (Netherlands) and Stuttgart Media University (Germany). Ideas drawn from the ceremony were related to Internet technology dependence, the negative impact on education, the importance of networks in how information becomes knowledge, media universities, what is socialization, media privacy. In one section of the symposium, the author of the article presented with Ane Landøy from the University of Bergen Library, the paper What challenges are library leaders facing? Ane Landøy is a PhDc at Royal School of Library and Information Science in Copenhagen and she has conducted qualitative research on issues facing the leaders of libraries in Norway. Results were confronted with the academic community expectations regarding library services, research conducted by the author at the Transylvania University of Brasov. The article, in fact a report on the event, summerizes briefly the main works and papers that have attracted interest, enough to keep the attention of the audience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
