Abstract

The article reports on the Nylandtia, Polygalaceae, a small South African genus of two or more species distributed mainly in the Cape region. A close relationship between Nylandtia and Muraltia, a genus of 117 species that is nearly endemic to South Africa was established based on anatomical, morphological and molecular data gathered.
