In the context of global economic integration and Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing has become crucial. As one of the economic cores of China, the digitization process of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta is particularly critical to the overall economic growth. Based on the theory of Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing, this study deeply analyzes the current digital development of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta. More importantly, this paper successfully constructs a fuzzy control model to quantitatively evaluate and guide the process of digital transformation of manufacturing industry in this region. The empirical results of the model reveal how key factors such as capital, talent, technology and data security affect the digitization process, and provide concrete and operational transformation strategies for the Yangtze River Delta region. In addition, combined with industrial advantages, policy support, technological progress and market demand, this paper predicts the digital development prospects of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta. Overall, the study not only provides in-depth insights on the digitization of manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta, but also provides practical guidance for actual operation, which has high theoretical and practical value. Background : The current UK standard for major trauma patients is to record notes in a paper trauma booklet. Through an innovative collaboration between a major trauma centre and a digital transformation industry partner, a TraumaApp was developed. Electronic notes have been shown to have fewer errors, granular data collection and enable time stamped contemporaneous record keeping. Implementation of digital clinical records presents a challenge within the context of trauma multidisciplinary trauma resuscitation. Data can be easily accessible and shared for quality improvement, audit and research purposes. This study compared paper and electronic notes for completeness and for acceptability data following the implementation of the TraumaApp. Methods: Trauma team members who performed scribe function attended training for the newly launched TraumaApp. Two staff members acted as scribe, using either the paper trauma booklet or TraumaApp, and attended major trauma calls. A framework for comparison of paper and electronic notes was created and used for a retrospective review of major trauma patients' notes. Statistical analysis was performed using a two-tailed t-test. Staff using the TraumaApp completed a System Usability Score questionnaire. Results: There was a total of 37 data points for collection per case. The mean numbers collected were paper notes 24.1 of 37 (65.1%) and electronic notes, 25.7 of 37 (69.5%). There was no statistical significance between the completeness of paper and electronic notes. The mean System Usability Score was 68.4. Discussion: Recording accurate patient information during a major trauma call can be challenging and the role of the scribe to accurately record events is critical for immediate and future care. There was no statistically significant difference in completeness of paper and electronic notes, however the mean System Usability Score was 68.4, which is greater than the internationally validated standard of acceptable usability. Conclusion: It is feasible to introduce digital data collection tools enabling accurate record keeping during trauma resuscitation and improve information sharing between clinicians. Technological progress has caused companies to automate processes as customers seek a product and/or service that is exclusive to their needs. Therefore, the study carries out a historical-logical analysis of academic documents on the metaverse in the business field. In this sense, it describes from the evolution to the digital transformation of the metaverse that optimises resources, provides unique buying and selling experiences, promotes brands, among others. In this way, documents in English and Spanish were reviewed and indexed in the databases Google Scholar, Scopus, Springer, and others. Our study is the first to empirically analyze the nonlinear relationship between digitalization and export value and diversification. This paper measures the digital transformation process in terms of digital connectivity, uses of the internet, e-business, e-commerce, and e-government. The various econometrics techniques are applied for the database of 23 European countries during the period 2015-2020. The vital findings should be conveyed here. First, the bottlenecks of export values could be resolved by promoting digital transformation. However, the non-linear reverted U-shaped relationship between digitalization and export diversification suggests that positive effects only appear when the digital activities, especially in digital connectivity, humans with digital skills, use of internet services, or digital public services reaches a certain threshold. Second, the positive influence of digitalization on exports stems from a reduction in export cost and export time to deal with documentary and border compliance as well as improvements in competence and quality of logistic services and quality of trade and transport-related infrastructure, thus enhancing exports. The digital transformation of libraries is the theme of the paper which is divided into two parts: the hybrid library and the library of the future. Based on an extensive analysis of the literature, especially centered on German-language libraries, the digital transformation of libraries is described. The digital transformation of the manufacturing industry is closely linked to green credit policies, which jointly promote the development of the manufacturing industry towards a more environmentally friendly, efficient and sustainable development. Based on the research sample of China's manufacturing A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2022, this paper uses the difference-in- differences (DID) method to analyze the impact of green credit policies on the digital transformation of heavily polluting enterprises. The results show that green credit policies significantly inhibit the digital transformation of heavily polluting enterprises. In terms of the adjustment mechanism, the R&D investment of enterprises and the financial background of senior executives have weakened the inhibitory effect of green credit policies on the digital transformation of heavily polluting enterprises. When the R&D investment is low, the inhibitory effect of the policy is more significant, but with the increase of R&D investment, the inhibitory effect of the policy gradually weakens, indicating that there is a substitution relationship between the two. Enterprises with senior financial expertise have a deeper understanding of financial feasibility and benefit analysis, and are more receptive to the high-risk investment of digital transformation, while their financial network resources can help broaden financing channels, reduce financing constraints, and further reduce the financial difficulty of digital transformation. In addition, the green credit policy has a stronger inhibitory effect on the digital transformation of non-state-owned enterprises and enterprises that do not hold bank shares. Literary reading is under transformation. Digital devices supplement traditional paper books with e-books and audiobooks, and at the same time, ubiquitous digital connection challenges focused reading. Based on a qualitative interview study with adult leisure readers, this article explores how affordances offered by digital technologies influence reading habits. Informants demonstrate how e-books and audiobooks enhance reading experiences, as digital affordances influence the how and the when of literary consumption. Three prominent findings are stated. (1) Readers adapt reading mode to the situation, and experienced readers have developed strategies to maximise the ultimate combination of title, format and reading conditions. (2) Digital reading favours lighter texts. This dimension is more substantial for audiobooks, relating to the wide choice of combining audiobooks with other activities. (3) Being devoted readers motivates people to develop strategies to ensure further reading. These strategies effectively make readers practically and temporally disconnect to immerse in literature. Building information modeling (BIM) adoption has received increasing attention over the past two decades due to its potential to revolutionize the built asset industry. Several different characteristics, facilitators, and drivers of BIM adoption have been identified, which has led to the development of BIM adoption frameworks and guidelines. Many of these elements and frameworks have focused on specific organizational-, project-, or industry-level characteristics. Few have taken a competency-based approach to BIM adoption. Thus, this paper aims to empirically evaluate and validate the factors influencing BIM adoption within organizations operating in the built asset industry as understood through the evolution of their BIM competency profiles. The research consists of a mixed-method data collection on a sample set of 368 organizations participating in the Initiative Québécoise pour la Construction 4.0 (IQC 4.0). The research method of analysis is based on a bivariate approach for testing the correlation between the variables concerning the organization's internal characteristics and their BIM competency development level. The findings show that the factors, which include field of activity, BIM experience, size, financial capacity, and geographical location, are correlated to an organization's BIM competency development level; in parallel, an organization's perceived maturity is strongly correlated. The results from this research can be potentially useful to properly guide and structure governmental initiatives supporting competency development for digital transformation. Practical Applications: Government initiatives have been undertaken to promote the adoption of BIM in the built asset industry and to encourage organizations to undertake their digital transformation. The province of Quebec, Canada, has established a governmental roadmap for BIM adoption that identifies the key actions to be undertaken by all public bodies in the province to ensure a consistent approach to BIM adoption, and a targeted initiative supporting the digitalization of companies called IQC 4.0. The paper discusses the factors impacting BIM adoption through the lens of organizational competency, an approach not yet covered in the literature. The organizational competencies include managerial, administrative, functional, operational, technical, implementation, supportive, research and development, and normative (ISO) ones. Factors such as an organization's size, field of activity, financial capacity, and location can influence the development of organizational competencies that impact BIM adoption. Moreover, the internal characteristics of an organization may have varying effects depending on the competencies involved. Current research on the relationship between digital transformation and financial performance (FP) remains inconclusive. This paper conceptualizes digital transformation as technology-based digital transformation (TDT) and market-based digital transformation (MDT), and explores their heterogeneous impacts on FP. It is further assessed how such distinctive effects are moderated by three types of entrepreneurs' social capital, i.e. entrepreneurs' technological social capital (ETSC), entrepreneurs' business social capital (EBSC), and entrepreneurs' institutional social capital (EISC). Using a carefully assembled dataset containing the relevant information of 2363 listed Chinese manufacturing firms covering the period of 2008–2018, these relationships are empirically examined, and the following is found: (1) TDT positively affects FP; (2) MDT has a time-lagged positive effect on FP; (3) ETSC positively moderates the relationship between MDT and FP; (4) EBSC positively moderates the impacts of TDT and MDT on FP. Driven by the concept of mass customization, manufacturing enterprises are now required to transform their traditional workshops into smart workshops. The integration of cyber-physical systems (CPS), which serves as the core of Industry 4.0, is crucial in achieving smart manufacturing. By implementing CPS, the conventional workshop can transition into a new paradigm characterized by intelligence and flexibility. However, the implementation of CPS in workshops is a complex undertaking that is still in its early stages. Therefore, this research paper aims to provide a comprehensive perspective on CPS-based workshops, with the intention of facilitating their implementation in the industry. Initially, the paper identifies seven key features of CPS-based workshops, namely self-sensing, self-awareness, self-assessment, self-optimization, self-adjustment, self-configuration, and self-control. Subsequently, the paper proposes the architectural framework of CPS-based workshops from a technical standpoint. Furthermore, a conceptual model of CPS-based workshops is developed, which highlights the three fundamental elements and closed-loop mechanism of such workshops. With growing trade volumes and more stringent regulations, digital transformation (DT) is crucial for container lines to keep abreast with the new trends in the container shipping industry. The objective of this research is to theoretically identify the crucial success elements for DT in container lines by evaluating four main theories: (1) innovation diffusion theory, (2) resource-based view theory, (3) stakeholder theory, and (4) competence motivation theory. Accordingly, the CSFs identified were 'stakeholder expectations', 'organisational competency', 'technology acceptance', and 'individual motivation'. A survey was then crafted and handed out to major container lines. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was then conducted to analyse the collected data. The results show that organisational competency is the most important CSF, followed by technology acceptance, stakeholders' expectations, and individual motivation. The top three sub-CSFs are financial stability, regulatory bodies' expectations, and digital readiness. This research paper contributes to theory and management practices by providing a holistic theoretical framework to identify and rank the CSFs of DT in container lines. This paper deals with the relatedness of digital transformation, customer relationships and servitization in the context of contract manufacturing in Hungary. From an interactive point of view, this paper discusses digital transformation in inter-organizational relationships as an evolutionary process between contract manufacturers and their customers. A qualitative, case-study method was used for a single case. Components of the digital transformation process reflected the seller’s ability to solve problems and fulfil the customers’ needs. The two groups of strategic drivers are the purpose of fulfilling customer expectations and the efforts to increase efficiency. Customer expectations contribute, not only to the problem-solving ability, but also to decrease the uncertainty of the contract manufacturer. This paper considers the digital transformation of museums and, particularly, the challenges museum professionals face today in the implementation of digital practices. The exploration of the challenges that museum professionals need to address, and the values associated with the "digital" are critical in the context of current and rapid sociocultural and technological changes. This paper reviews a diverse typology of resources—including project reports and deliverables, qualitative and quantitative surveys, academic articles, edited volumes, and chapters—relevant to the implementation of digital practices in the "backstage of museums." This essay will show that, although digital technologies have acquired a normative presence, organisational and technical challenges in the "backstage" of museums pose systemic problems in their digital transformation. These are systemic problems related to skills and knowledge, and human and financial resource deficits, which result in museum professionals exerting constant effort to keep up with the rapid changes in digital technologies with limited resources at hand and the risks of technological obsolescence and abandonment always present. Situated within the emerging literature advocating for a holistic, ethical, and sustainable digital transformation of museums, this paper draws attention to the implications of the digitalisation of museums in the transition to a responsible and sustainable digital future in a European context. The global digital divide is sometime presented as the primary obstacle to developmental convergence between world regions. On the other hand mobile phone and internet technology are at times seen as transformative innovations that are dissolving this development divide. Through secondary data (such as on usage from Internet World Stats) and case exemplars, of mobile money and the gig economy, this paper argues that this is not the case; primarily because new information and communication technologies are used mostly for communication and consumption, rather than production, and if they are value capture is often low. Consequently the ‘digital divide’, and its partial dissolution, are perhaps better characterized as phases of an ‘ICT product consumption diffusion cycle’, facilitated by technological embedding and convergence. Currently, digital transformation is having various impacts on enterprises around the world, including the green innovation. However, the current literature on the relationship between digitalization and green innovation in enterprises is scarce. What is the relationship between them, and whether heterogeneous environmental regulation has mediating effects, are questions that are worth exploring. Using a sample of listed manufacturing enterprises in China, this paper empirically tests the impact of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation. The results show that: (1) Digital transformation has a significant positive impact on green innovation, including green innovation output and green innovation capability. Digital transformation serves as a crucial foundation for enterprises to achieve business and trade digitisation, as well as to drive industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development. This paper explores the impact and mechanism of the ‘Specialized and New’ policy on enterprise digital transformation, utilising the policy established in 2019 as a quasi-natural experiment and leveraging data from China’s A-share listed companies between 2017 and 2021. We employ difference-in-differences model to investigate the effects and underlying mechanisms of the ‘Specialized and New’ policy on digital transformation. Our results demonstrate that the ‘Specialized and New’ policy significantly promotes the process of enterprise digital transformation. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the policy has a more pronounced effect on the digital transformation of non-state-owned enterprises, medium-sized enterprises, and enterprises with high management efficiency. In-depth mechanistic tests reveal that the ‘Specialized and New’ policy facilitates digital transformation through three pathways: enhancing research and development capabilities, introducing government subsidies, and reducing financing constraints. The policy is relatively new and less well researched, so the findings of this paper provide valuable insights and lessons for domestic and foreign policymakers, which can help in the replication of subsequent policies as well as the development and transformation of enterprises. Buildings are energy- and resource-hungry: their construction and use account for around 39% of global carbon dioxide emissions; they consume around 40% of all the energy produced; they are responsible for over 35% of the EU's total waste generation; and account for about 50% of all extracted (fossil) materials. Therefore, they present a significant challenge to meeting national and international Net Zero targets of reducing greenhouse emissions and fossil resource use. The CircularB Project, is at the heart of this issue, which will underpin synergies of multi-scale circular perspectives (from materials, to components, to assets and built environments), digital transformation solutions, data-driven and complexity science, stakeholder behavioral science, and interdisciplinary capabilities towards achievable, affordable and marketable circular solutions for both new and existing buildings, for sustainable urban design, and for circular built environments across Europe. This paper contributes to the project by deriving new insights into the stakeholders' influences, inter-relationships, and obstacles in the implementation of circular economy concepts on existing building stocks in Europe, which represent over 90% of whole building assets. In order to identify and derive the insights, our study is rigorously based on (i) a robust critical literature review of key documentations such as articles, standards, policy reports, strategic roadmaps and white papers; and (ii) interviews with relevant stakeholders and decision makers. Uniquely, our work spans across all scales of CE implementation from materials, to products and components, to existing building stocks, and to living built environments. The findings point out the current challenges and obstacles required to be tackled. Inadequacies of financial incentives and governmental enforcement (via policy, legislation, or directive) are commonly found to be the most critical obstacles found throughout Europe. Circular economy is the global challenge and not just a single country can resolve the climate issue without the cooperation of other countries. The insights thus highlight the essential need for harmonized actions and tactical/pragmatic policies promoted and regulated by the European Commission, national and local governments who can dominate the influence, promote inter-relationship, and overcome the barriers towards circular economy much more effectively. Digitalization and greening are key themes in global development, the manufacturing industry, as a major sector of energy consumption and carbon emissions, is in urgent need of transformation to realize energy conservation and emission reduction, digital transformation provides an opportunity for its green development. However, whether digital transformation can restrain the carbon emission intensity (CEI) of enterprises is still controversial. Based on the data of China's A‐share manufacturing listed companies from 2013 to 2020, this paper uses fixed effect model and intermediary effect model to explore the relationship between digital transformation and enterprise CEI and the influence path. the results show that: (1) Digital transformation has significantly reduced the CEI of manufacturing enterprises. (2) Mechanism analysis indicates that green technological innovation and resource allocation efficiency play a chain mediating role in this relationship. (3) Heterogeneity analysis shows that the carbon emission reduction effect of digital transformation is more significant when enterprises belong to an energy‐intensive manufacturing industry or face strong environmental regulations and industry competition. Purpose: This conceptual paper aims to develop the vision of a novel policy tool called the digital industrial cluster (DIC) thought for a future context shaped by digital economies and Industry 4.0. The DIC departs from the industrial cluster's precepts and take them into the digital agglomeration phenomenon. Design/methodology/approach: This research uses a discursive and theoretical approach. To create a clear picture related to the research topic, this paper reviews the literature on how industrial clusters deal with digital transformation. The review takes a particular interest in industrial clusters, information and communication technologies, Industry 4.0 and policy tools for digital agglomeration. Findings: The research develops the vision of the DIC as a new policy tool, building its foundations on both industrial clusters and digital economies; furthermore, the DIC was compared with other policy tools based on digital agglomeration to understand the similarities, differences and advantages of the former. Finally, this paper discussed where the DIC could find its way toward implementation and what externalities could be expected from doing so. Practical implications: This research could be useful for policymakers and cluster organizations looking to deploy policy tools that take advantage of industrial clusters and digital transformation. This paper takes A-share listed companies during 2010–2021 as the research object, and finds that the digital transformation (DT) of enterprises affects investors’ trading behaviours; more specifically, the digital transformation of enterprises increases investor divergence. This paper also finds that external governance factors mitigate the impact of digital transformation on investor divergence; specifically, analyst tracking mitigates the impact of digital transformation on investor divergence by alleviating information asymmetry. As more professional investors, institutional investors have stronger information mining and analysis capabilities, so the impact of digital transformation on investor divergence could also be mitigated with the increase in the proportion of institutional investors. The intermediary mechanism test suggests that corporate digital transformation triggers investor divergence by increasing surplus volatility. Further research finds that, firstly, different approaches to digital transformation have different impacts, with digital transformation through self-developed technology being more likely to trigger investor divergence. Secondly, different firm natures have different impacts, with the digital transformation of non-high-tech firms having relatively greater impacts on investor divergence. The object of research is the use of Digital Twin (DT) technology in the manufacturing sector and its impact on sustainability. The scientific problem addressed is the identification and quantification of the potential advantages and challenges associated with the adoption of DTs at operational, tactical, and strategic levels, particularly in the context of sustainable development. The paper investigates how DTs can redefine the measurement of sustainable development and diversify implementation within manufacturing infrastructure. The study concludes that DTs are a sophisticated technology that enables manufacturers to create precise virtual replicas of physical products or processes. This helps in optimizing resource utilization, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing waste, thereby promoting sustainability. Main DT clusters and common uses highlighted by the authors demonstrate huge impact on energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable design, logistics emissions reduction, water conservation, and stakeholder engagement. It is proved that DTs simulate and analyze complex systems, enabling the evaluation and improvement of sustainability levels. With the development of artificial intelligence technology, the digital transformation of student-oriented education becomes particularly important. How to promote real-time interaction between teachers and students in the classroom is an urgent issue which is needed to pay attention to. Based on the facial expression features of students in a classroom, this paper analyzes the changes in angles between facial expression feature points using Dlib. Additionally, this paper proposes a novel algorithm for extracting variable scale template edge trend features. The algorithm adaptively processes the template based on the edge trend features of expression feature points, and use the proposed template slope normalization algorithm to achieve multi-scale template edge trend extraction. Then, DNN are used to recognize different listening expressions. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has faster recognition speed and better robustness when applied to classroom expression recognition. This paper analyses the financial performance of crop production enterprises related to the costs associated with their innovation activity. We aim to determine influencing factors related to the digital transformation process, on the one hand, and on the other, explore the change in the economic performance of enterprises. For this purpose, we trace out enterprises' intangible assets and financial performance indicators. The study is based on a sample of enterprises, classified according to whether they disclose intangible assets in balance sheets. We use panel data collected on financial results, income, expenses, liabilities, and assets for five years. Both the Probit model and Fixed effects model are applied in an attempt to deepen the analysis. The results show that enterprises spend a negligibly small share of their revenue on innovation activities. Larger and more innovative crop farms with higher labour productivity have better financial performance. The digital economy has become a driving force in the rapid development of the global economy and the promotion of export trade. Pivotal in its advent, the digital transformation of enterprises utilizes cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies to provide an impetus for evolution and transformation in various industries and fields. in enhancing quality and efficiency. This has been critical for enhancing both quality and efficiency in enterprises based in the People's Republic of China. Through the available data on its listed enterprises, this paper measures their digital transformation through a textual analysis and examines how this transformation influences their export product quality. We then explore the possible mechanisms at work in this influence from the perspective of enterprise heterogeneity. The results find that: (1) Digital transformation significantly enhances the export product quality in an enterprises, and the empirical findings still hold after a series of robustness tests; (2) Further mechanism analysis reveals that the digital transformation can positively affect export product quality through the two mechanisms of process productivity (φ), the ability to produce output using fewer variable inputs, and product productivity (ξ), the ability to produce quality with fewer fixed outlays; (3) In terms of enterprise heterogeneity, the impact of digital transformation on export product quality is significant for enterprises engaged in general trade or high-tech industries and those with strong corporate governance. In terms of heterogeneity in digital transformation of enterprise and the regional digital infrastructure level, the higher the level of digital transformation and regional digital infrastructure, the greater the impact of digital transformation on export product quality. As Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) infrastructure expands and more satellites are launched, the number of signals and measurements available to users increases, resulting in a corresponding rise in data generation rates. GNSS receivers with the ability to process triple frequency measurements and multi-constellation reception, have been complemented with the massive deployment of connected, GNSS-enabled devices such as smartphones, wearables, and IoT sensors, triggering the growth of a highly dispersed cloud of GNSS data. This trend observed in other domains presents both challenges and opportunities for applications of GNSS technology. The scientific exploitation of GNSS data involves developing new concepts through the analysis of the aforementioned sources of information. Traditionally, the extraction of insights from GNSS data has relied on searching and downloading datasets from multiple repositories. These datasets provided by numerous organisations are scattered worldwide, containing gems of information difficult to track and discover. This approach hinders research productivity, as scientists are forced to shift their focus from data exploration, analysis, modelling, visualization, and realisation of conclusions to a long list of repetitive and manual tasks of little added value. The GNSS Science Support Centre (GSSC) hosts ESA's innovative Digital Platform for GNSS, GSSC Now, which integrates a large GNSS repository with cutting-edge features for data exploration and analysis. The paper presents key functionalities of GSSC Now and highlights its value through case studies of real-world GNSS applications. This paper explores the intricate dynamics of digital welfare within the context of late-capitalist welfare states, focusing on the advanced digitalisation initiatives of Denmark. It offers a critical analysis of the concept of 'digital welfare' – defined as the integration of digital technologies into the frameworks of social protection. Central to the research is how the Danish welfare state, recognised for its e-government leadership, engages with and incorporates critiques to sustain its approach to digital transformation. Utilising Boltanski's theories on the absorption of capitalist critique and Mathiesen's 'silently silencing' concept, the study examines the state's proficiency in assimilating criticism. The findings reveal the persistent flexibility of late-capitalist governance systems, especially in how digital welfare policies are leveraged to reconnect citizens with state mechanisms while simultaneously mitigating dissent. Public policy and administration debates typically assume that ICT tools, including social networking services (SNS), increase the amount of information that is communicated and thus harnessed for policymaking processes. At the same time, behavioral approaches point to the potentially detrimental effects of social media stress resulting from an overexposure to SNS. Because systematic research on the individual-level effects of SNS in policy formulation is rare, this paper explores the effect of SNS on the use of policy-relevant information and, thus, on individual political capacities. A moderated mediation analysis was performed based on survey data from central ministerial bureaucracies in Germany, Italy, and Norway, considering not only the amount of information utilized in legislative drafting but also the variability and concentration of the information sources. The results indicate that SNS positively relate to policy officials' information use, which, in turn, increases their self-reported political capacities. However, the positive relationship between SNS and both the amount and the variability of information use was found to be diminished when levels of social media stress are high rather than low. With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and the digital transformation of the financial industry, the financial IoT is becoming an important trend in the future financial field. In the era of financial IoT, a large amount of data information is recorded by sensors and devices, which poses new challenges and opportunities for user credit evaluation. In this context, conventional deep learning-based user credit evaluation methods often cannot meet privacy needs. The paper combines the privacy security ability of federated learning with deep learning, and proposes a deep federated learning-based user credit evaluation model under financial IoT scenarios. First, a particle swarm optimization-based backpropagation neural network algorithm is formulated to extract user credit evaluation features, in order to obtain user behavior patterns and credit features. Then, the XGBoost algorithm is employed to output credit evaluation results. As for the training process, the thought of federated learning is integrated to distribute the model to individual participants. In such mode, the model can be updated and trained without exposing user data to the central cloud. The experiments are conducted on real-world data to assess the proposal’s performance. Pilot Free Trade Zones (PFTZs) are a crucial new platform for China to build a more open economic system. Existing literature primarily focuses on the 'Bring In' effect of PFTZs, often overlooking the importance of 'Going Out' aspects. To bridge this gap, this paper uses data from China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed enterprises from 2007 to 2021 and constructs a time-varying difference-in-differences (DID) model to test the impact of establishment of PFTZs on international expansion of enterprises. The study finds that establishment of PFTZs can significantly promote international expansion of enterprises, with a more pronounced effect on the scope of international expansion than on its depth. Mechanism analysis reveals that PFTZs can facilitate international expansion of enterprises by driving digital transformation, enhancing total factor productivity and management efficiency, and alleviating financing constraints. Notably, senior managers with overseas work experience play a crucial role in enhancing this relationship. Further, PFTZs not only have a linkage effect with the Belt and Road Initiative but also a radiation effect on neighboring cities. This study provides an analytical perspective and empirical evidence for evaluating policy effects of PFTZs and offers valuable insights that will enable PFTZ policies to be refined and facilitate successful implementation of the 'Going Out' strategy. The relevance of this study is conditioned by the significant importance of the organisation of electronic document management in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the broad prospects that open up during the digitalisation of state archives. The purpose of the study is to investigate the key aspects of the digitalisation of archives in Kazakhstan at the current stage of the country’s economic development. The basis of its methodological approach was a theoretical investigation of the processes of digitalisation of archival information under the conditions of practical application of the electronic document management system in the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the results obtained indicating the major significance of the digital transformation of archives in the context of the programmes Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 827 “About Approval of the State Program “Digital Kazakhstan” (2017) and “Information Kazakhstan-2020”: State Program (2021) adopted at the state level. The sequential transfer of archival information to digital media for storage offers numerous advantages over traditional paper media, with the state level in Kazakhstan regulating the digital transformation of archives and the adoption and use of a unified electronic document management system by enacting a number of laws that regulate a wide range of related issues. The introduction of an electronic document management system has also established numerous advantages, largely determining the significant prospects for the development of this system of interaction between organisations (state, public, legal entities, and individuals). The growing development of the agricultural e-commerce industry is promoting the Digital transformation of agricultural production and logistics. Aiming at the problem of labor shortage in apple picking, this paper proposes a performance control method for robot apple picking based on a nonlinear wide convolutional neural network (NLWCNN) and multi-objective cooperative distance transformation algorithm (MOCDTA). This method utilizes deep learning algorithms and visual sensing technology to enable robots to accurately recognize apples and perform autonomous picking operations based on their maturity and position. We have designed a machine learning-based algorithm that enables robots to accurately recognize and distinguish apples of different maturity levels through training on a large amount of sample data. At the same time, we also combined the motion control algorithm of the robot to enable efficient picking operations based on the position and maturity information of the apples. The experimental results indicate that the NLWCNN method can significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of apple picking, ensure the safety and traceability of agricultural products, increase consumer trust, and promote agricultural product transactions. This paper examines the impact of the digital economy on sustainable development, using panel data from cities at the prefecture level and above in China from 2011 to 2019. The results indicate: (1) The digital economy is conducive to boosting growth, increasing employment, reducing energy consumption, and cutting emissions, thereby promoting sustainable development. These findings prove robust. (2) Mechanism test outcomes reveal that, from the perspective of technological innovation, the digital economy can promote sustainable development through increasing R&D input and enhancing innovation output. (3) An extended analysis of the risk of a digital "divide" demonstrates that "dividend" of the digital economy is primarily manifests in spurring economic growth, enhancing energy efficiency, and strengthening environmental protection in lagging regions, while the digital "divide" effect is manifested in the stronger employment stimulating effect of developed regions versus backward areas. This paper explores the relationship between subjective perception of economic policy uncertainty (SPEPU) and ESG performance. We find that SPEPU could deteriorate ESG performance, especially corporate social performance and that this negative effect works through increasing financialization and weakening internal control, but could be mitigated by enhancing digital transformation and improving financial flexibility. Heterogeneity analysis further confirms that this negative effect of SPEPU on ESG performance is more pronounced for enterprises with no political connections, less information transparency and low marketization. The crazy, unconscious use of the Internet, and the increase in cybercrime and hacking, which resulted in the loss of a large number of sensitive data, the risk of piracy, etc. were the motivation for protecting rights, securing and hiding essential information such as images, audio, etc. Watermarking was a popular security, copyright and privacy approach and one of the problems in modern quantum digital computing that produced more powerful quantum protection techniques than the classical one that used classical techniques such as digital wavelet transformation and Hungarian algorithms. Recent advances in quantum image representation and processing help to manipulate data hidden. This paper proposes a new watermark technique in which a color watermark image is hidden within another color-carrying image after transformation into the quantum domain using the recently completed quantum color image representation technique. Finally, a comparison is made between the proposed method and the most recent watermarking techniques is establish in terms of PSNR (peak signal-to-noise ratio), which shows the high precision of the proposed technique and improves the imperceptibility compared to the related schemes. Traditional Chinese settlements (TCSs) embody millennia of human and cultural history, with the core culture serving as their essence. However, any damage incurred by these TCSs can result in the loss of core culture. In the era of China's digital transformation, there has recently been a significant push toward digital reforms within TCSs. Thus, this paper introduces a traditional settlement digitalization (TSD) framework with a specific focus on enhancing the preservation of TCS landscape gene through the perspective of landscape gene information chain theory. This research uses the Nanxun traditional settlement (TS), Huzhou, Zhejiang, China, the first TS listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site in China, as a case study, extracting and identifying the area landscape gene and digital visualization status. This article identifies the landscape gene information chain of the Nanxun TS and redesigns its digital visualization and application scheme under the TSD framework. This study reveals the notion of a digital landscape gene characterized by four key attributes: identical, interactive, immersive, and intelligent. The results of this study will help guide the sustainable protection, application and planning of the Nanxun TS and promote the study of other sections of landscape gene theory. Purpose: In the so-called digital age, there is a basic assumption that digitalization entails rapid and dramatic change in schools, education and society. However, a challenge for educational research is to clarify what digitalization precisely means. This paper aims to develop, test, and validate a digital transformation scale (DTS). More specifically, the aim is to validate digitization, digitalization and digital transformation as hierarchical levels of sociocultural learning in school and education by using cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT) as a framework. Design/methodology/approach: An exploratory factor analysis (EFA), with principal-axis factoring as an extraction method, was used to examine the number of factors underlying the data. Findings: Results show that the three dimensions in the DTS questionnaire explain 68% of the variance and that all dimensions show high internal consistency (a >0.87). This means that the internal structure of the DTS corresponded to the internal structure of the theory. Research limitations/implications: The results show that the internal structure of the DTS corresponded to the internal structure of the theory and may be used quantitatively to analyze digital transformation in school organizations. However, further research is needed in other contexts and larger samples with the use of confirmatory factor analysis to develop knowledge in this area and the use of DTS. Practical implications: This tool and theoretical construction could be used to discuss digital transformation in school and education, both local and in general. Seeing digitalization from a sociocultural perspective makes possible to conceptualize and discuss this as a process ranging from small technology investments on an individual level to digitalization as strategic and organizational development. In the current scenario ruled by governance, the digital transformation of education is woven through the participation of multiple actors. Recent academic literature deals with the study of state, regional or private policies. However, municipal policies are also an element of great interest for illustrating micro-political processes, making it possible to develop situated work. Based on this premise, this paper studies the case of a municipality in the province of València that for the last decade has been implementing an initiative to provide digital devices to 5th grade students in its four schools. Using a qualitative approach, a field study is carried out by means of interviews with teachers and classroom observations, in which this initiative is investigated, delving into the difficulties and challenges it entails. The main results show that local councils are key bodies in promoting the digitalisation of schools, and that municipal policies reflect the trends in the transformation of education that govern the macro-political level. In April 2021 Stavå bridge, a main bridge on E6 in Norway, was abruptly closed for traffic. A structural defect had seriously compromised the bridge's structural integrity. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) closed it, made a temporary solution and reopened with severe traffic restrictions. The incident was alerted through what constitutes the bridge's Digital Twin processing data from Internet of Things sensors. The solution was crucial in online and offline diagnostics, the case demonstrating the value of technologies to tackle emerging dangerous situations as well as acting preventively. A critical and rapidly developing damage was detected in time to stop the development, but not in time to avoid the incident altogether. The paper puts risk in a broader perspective for an organization responsible for highway infrastructure. It positions online monitoring and Digital Twins in the context of Risk- and Condition-Based Maintenance. The situation that arose at Stavå bridge, and how it was detected, analysed, and diagnosed during virtual inspection, is described. The case demonstrates how combining physics-based methods with Machine Learning can facilitate damage detection and diagnostics.
