The objective is to verify the similarities and specificities aimed by the literature for the planning and implementation of digital repositories for archival and library purposes from the Information Science perspective. As the phenomenon of digital transformation in archival records and bibliographic records management occurs, discuss the applications of the theoretical foundations of Archival Science, Library Science, and Information Science in new ways of storing records go deeper into theoretical aspects in the literature of the respective areas which compete support theories applied to digital repositories that have theoretical intersections with Information Science. In this sense, this investigation starts with the following question: "what are the similarities and differences from the point of view of Information Science, the planning and implementation of digital repositories in Archival Science, Library Science?". Therefore, qualitative and bibliographic research was used to elucidate the interdisciplinarity of Information Science to the use of digital repositories for Archival and Library Science. The results suggested similarities between the two types of digital repositories in terms of providing access and, for that, preserving the records, however, archival repositories differ by the necessity to preserve extrinsic elements of archival records. Analyzing how the theme 'documentary heritage' appears in Information Science journals is the objective of this study. To identify content in the scientific literature, a bibliographic search was carried out in order to retrieve in the Base de dados em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI) the documentary items on this theme. The study focuses on three parameters: a) collecting articles published on documentary heritage in Information Science journals; b) verify which journals are most representative for the archival area; and c) describe the profile of the most productive authors in the analysis of documentary heritage according to their title and institution of origin. It is observed that since 1989 the database has the indication of 272 documentary items, of which 169 (62.13% of the total) fit the parameters established for the accomplishment of this study, that is, the scientific articles of the period from 2010 to 2020. Thus, the research presents the three magazines that most publish on documentary heritage: Ágora - Arquivologia Em Debate, with 21 articles; 'In Question', with 13 items; and „Information & Information", with nine publications. This article addresses the theme of mediations in a multidimensional way - vertical, institutional and horizontal mediation - and presents how these dimensions have been addressed in Information Science (CI) and Library Science and related areas (Archival Science, Museology and Information Systems) in publications in Portuguese. At first, the mediation concept is presented in its different manifestations, privileging its horizontal and vertical axis. Then, it was undertaken a panoramic study on abstracts of full articles published about that theme in 11 LIS, six Museology, two Archival Science and one Information Systems Journals, in the last ten years (articles published from january 2007 to October 2017). Through content analysis of those abstracts, it is possible to affirm the great variety of concepts and approaches of mediation. The general mediation concept is wide and generic, and has been approached in LIS and Museology, in reference as to macrosocial processes about the role of museums and library in social order, covering cultural actions, as to institutional process related do document organizing, and also situational processes related to educative actions and services offered to users and publics. It deals with the relations between Library Science, Archives, Museology and Information Science. The starting point of this article was synthesized in the following question: What possible relations between Information Science, Archivology, Library Science and Museology within the scope of their similarities and particularities, which could have multiple perspectives of development and application in common? The purpose of this article is to discuss the multiple possibilities of relationship between archivology, librarianship, museology and information science within historical, epistemological, curricular, disciplinary and application fundamentals. The methodology of the article is an exploratory research delineated by a bibliographical review. We conclude that the relations between Archivology, Library Science, Museology and Information Science are given through action categories supported by historical, epistemological, curricular, disciplinary and application fundamentals. This paper aims to identify the concepts and delimitations in the field of investigation of Big Data, an emerging area that mainly involves information and communication technologies, but also has interdisciplinary connections, approaching here the connection with information professionals. It demonstrates the scientific production in the subjects of Big Data and Data Scientist, looking for to verify the main published papers. It explores the approach of dataism, how to transform social action into online data, allowing for real-time tracking and predictive analysis of certain actions. The research is in an interdisciplinary area with Information and Knowledge Management linked to the purposes and guidelines of Information Science. With the increasing demands on the knowledge, skills, aptitudes and actions necessary for the individual to enter and remain active in the competitive job market, especially the basic training to develop, execute and adapt their activities, over time, has been modeling the profile of the information professional and all those who benefit from it. The problem that serves as a guiding line for the development of this research can be defined by the question: Is the practice of management by competencies adopted in undergraduate courses in Archival Science in Brazil? It has a general objective to analyze the essentials competences of undergraduate courses in Archival Science in Brazil. It has the following methodological characteristics: an inductive approach with documentary nature, with an exploratory, descriptive and correlational character, in which the independent variable is the teachers and the dependent are the common obligatory subjects. It presents a study on the interdisciplinary relationships established between Archival Science and Information Science, based on the prevalence of a common element in both fields of knowledge: the information recorded, delimited within the scope of Archival Science by the concept organic information, also identified as archival information. It is a quantitativequalitative, descriptive research using the content analysis method and as a process of data collection and bibliographic research in two sources: for the construction of the theoretical reference on the terms studied, we used the definitions of classic authors of Information Science and, specifically for the treatment of the definition of organic information, by authors of the new Canadian Archival Science. Subsequently, the articles indexed in the Information Science Periodicals Database (BRAPCI) were listed, using the concepts studied in order to identify their incorporation on the conceptual framework of the area. The history of the relationship between archival science and information science still remain barely known. The pre-sent study analyzes such issue from a historical perspective by means of a comprehensive and comparative method. In order to accomplish it two journals were chosen: The American Archivist and Arquivo & Administração. These publications belong to the national archival associations in the United States and in Brazil respectively. Thus, the present article identifies the starting point and the way, through official publications, relationships were established with information science. The proposition of practical solutions for the array of questions related to information access summarizes the objective of Information Science, which unfolds in different contexts of practical applications identified as archives, libraries and museums. The distinction between the different informational spaces does not rely on the difference between documents kept in custody but on the function assigned to them, fruit of different histories and theoretical constructions. This difference in the attributed function of documents corresponds to different working methods: the importance of the identification of the context of creation of the archival document is emphasized. In spite of the different functions assigned to archival, library and museum documents, the organization of access to information remains a common objective, aiming at the construction of bridges between the past and the future, following the example of the roman mythological god Janus, who has two faces: one looking to the past and the other to the future. This paper presents a part of the reflections from a vastranging research project on the path of Archival Science as a scientific discipline in Brazil and its international dialogues. It focuses on the relations of Archival Science with other disciplines, especially in the political-institutional scope, and, particularly, with Information Science in contemporary times. As a qualitative, exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory research, it develops through bibliographic and documental studies. Reading works from Sociology and Philosophy, it seeks the historical understanding of classifications of sciences that subsidize the classification of Archival Science in the current Brazilian context. The results show relations of submission of this discipline to Information Science in the classification of knowledge areas in Brazil, caried out by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), in 1984 and still in force. In a critical perspective, it shows reflections and questions whether that classification considers Archival Science's history, epistemology, theory, and, above all, scientific autonomy, which has been going through consolidation in the last few years. The purpose of this article is to briefly discuss the process of socio-historical creation of the environment in which Technique and Science are formed and how this productive environment dialogues with the production in Information Science and, especially, in Archivology. As a methodological structure it presents an epistemological dialogue and historical partner in which the emphasis of the concepts of technique, science and technology by basic authors in the field of critical interpretation of the emergence of modern society help guide fundamental questions about the positioning of Information Science in general, and Archivology in particular, regarding the relationship of coexistence with technology.
