Intelligent manufacturing is the main direction of manufacturing transformation and upgrading in developing countries. However, the issue of how to systematically improve the level of intelligent manufacturing in enterprises has not been effectively solved. The analyses in this study are based on data collected from a sample of 45 manufacturing companies in China from 2016 to 2018, and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) was used to explore the impact of R&D, policy support, and enterprise characteristics on the level of intelligent manufacturing. The results find that three modes and four configurations for enterprises achieve high-level intelligent manufacturing. Specifically, firstly, enterprises with larger scale and better benefits can achieve high-level intelligent manufacturing with less R&D investment. Secondly, large enterprises with a high leverage ratio and high R&D capital investment can sacrifice short-term profitability and complete intelligent transformation through lower human capital investment. With the help of policy support, we maintain a high human capital investment and accelerate the completion of the intelligent upgrade. Thirdly, small companies can use higher R&D human capital investment to achieve the goal of intelligence. Chrysanthemum morifolium flower is a medicinal and edible plant resource in China. This study identified the phenolics in different parts of Chrysanthemum flower and evaluated corresponding antioxidant capacities. Meanwhile, their changes affected by different drying methods were also investigated. A total of 5 phenolic acids and 17 flavonoids were identified and qualified in Chrysanthemum flower. The dominant compound in fresh Chrysanthemum flower was confirmed as 3,5‐dicaffeoylquinic acid (9.95 mg/g DW), whereas the lowest component was acacetin (0.08 mg/g DW). Chrysanthemum petals displayed the maximum flavonoids value and antioxidant capacity, while receptacles owned the highest amount of required chemical markers. Phenolic acids appeared more stable than flavonoids during dehydration. Nature and vacuum drying procedures were beneficial for the increase in both phenolic contents and antioxidant capacities of Chrysanthemum flower. Vacuum drying could retain antioxidant components of chrysanthemum flower in a short time. Practical applications: Chrysanthemum morifolium flower, an important medicinal and edible material, has a promising application prospect in functional foods. However, the detailed bioactive ingredients in different parts of Chrysanthemum flower remained unclear. Curcumin was reported to exhibit a wide range of pharmacological effects including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative activities and significantly prevent smooth muscle cells migration. In the present study, a novel kind of curcumin loaded nanoparticles (Cur-NP) has been prepared and characterized with the aim of inhibiting inflammation formation and accelerating the healing process of the stented arteries. Cur-NP was administrated intravenously after stent implantation twice a week and detailed tissue responses were evaluated. The results demonstrated that intravenous administration of Cur-NP after stent implantation accelerated endothelial cells restoration and endothelium function recovery and may potentially be an effective therapeutic alternative to reduce adverse events for currently available drug eluting stents. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a common microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). Radix Astragali (RA), a frequently used Chinese herbal medicine in the Leguminosae family, Astragalus genus, with its extracts, has been proven to be effective in DN treatment both in clinical practice and experimental studies. RA and its extracts can reduce proteinuria and improve renal function. They can improve histopathology changes including thickening of the glomerular basement membrane, mesangial cell proliferation, and injury of endothelial cells, podocytes, and renal tubule cells. The mechanisms mainly benefited from antioxidative stress which involves Nrf2/ARE signaling and the PPARγ‐Klotho‐FoxO1 axis; antiendoplasmic reticulum stress which involves PERK‐ATF4‐CHOP, PERK/eIF2α, and IRE1/XBP1 pathways; regulating autophagy which involves SIRT1/NF‐κB signaling and AMPK signaling; anti‐inflammation which involves IL33/ST2 and NF‐κB signaling; and antifibrosis which involves TGF‐β1/Smads, MAPK (ERK), p38/MAPK, JNK/MAPK, Wnt/β‐catenin, and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathways. This review focuses on the clinical efficacy and the pharmacological mechanism of RA and its representative extracts on DN, and we further document the traditional uses of RA and probe into the TCM theoretical basis for its application in DN. Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare and refractory autoimmune disease, and Qi Shen Di Huang (QSDH) drug formulary is an in-hospital herbal decoction with proven clinical efficacy in treating MG. Currently, most of the research on the QSDH drug formulary has concentrated on its clinical efficacy, and there is a lack of systematic study on the material basis. The active compounds and their mechanism of action have not been entirely determined. Therefore, this study sought to identify the active compounds in the QSDH drug formulary and analyze the key targets and potential mechanisms. We used ultra-performance liquid chromatography Q Exactive-mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QE-MS) and Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP) database to identify and screen 85 active ingredients corresponding to 59 potential targets (17 herbs) associated with myasthenia gravis, and further identified AKT1 as the primary core target and the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway as the most substantial enriched pathway. Molecular docking and UPLC-MS analysis identified quercetin, luteolin, wogonin, kaempferol, laccasein, and epigallocatechin gallate are the core compounds of the QSDH drug formulary. In vivo rat studies showed that the QSDH drug formulary reduced Lennon's clinical score and decreased acetylcholine receptor antibody levels in peripheral blood rats with experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis. In addition, the QSDH drug formulary downregulated P-PI3K/PI3K and P-Akt/Akt protein expression. Collectively, these findings describe the role and potential mechanism of the QSDH drug formulary in the treatment of MG, which exerts potential value by acting on AKT targets and regulating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and providing a theoretical reference for QSDH drug formulary application in the clinical treatment of MG. We evaluated the characteristic odor substances in Asian carp meat, which are prevalent in the Great Lakes, to provide a foundation for resource utilization and removing its fishy smell. Three Mono Trap RCC18 adsorbents were used to extract samples. Volatile components were analyzed by gas phase‐olfaction‐mass spectrometry. The main odor‐active substances were identified by aroma extraction dilution analysis. The overall odor profile was analyzed by electronic nose. Overall sensory evaluation showed that metallic and grassy in Chinese carp were heavier than those in American. Trimethylamine, ketones, aldehydes, and alcohols were the main odor components in the two species. Flavor dilution factors indicated that hexanal (grassy), 1‐octen‐3‐ol (mushroom‐like), and 2,3‐pentanedione (milky) were important. Trimethylamine, 1‐pentene‐3‐ol, 2,3‐pentanedione, pentanal, 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol, hexanal, 1‐Hexanol, heptanal, 1‐heptanol, 1‐octen‐3‐ol, octanal, 2,3‐pentanedione. D‐limonene, nonanal, decanal, and naphthalene were the main flavor substances. The contents and intensities of volatile substances are generally higher in American than in Chinese silver carp. Practical applications: The large numbers of American silver carp are problematic in the Great Lakes. Pollution of the water environment may cause contamination in the fish body and the smell of freshwater fish is heavy and unacceptable. Doxorubicin (Dox) is an effective chemotherapeutic drug for the treatment of various cancers. Due to its potential fatal cardiotoxic side effects, the clinical application is often limited. Dexrazoxane (Dex) is the only drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention of Dox-induced cardiotoxicity but has side effects. Thus, more protective strategies should be explored. If NAD+ plays a role in maintaining heart function, its precursor prospectively alleviates Dox-induced cellular injury. Here, we studied the protective effects of nicotinic acid riboside (NAR) on Dox-induced cardiotoxicity in vivo and in vitro. We found that NAR significantly improved the cardiac function of Dox-treated mice by restoring ejection fraction (EF), fractional shortening (FS), and serum level of cardiac troponin (cTnI). NAR not only reduced malondialdehyde (MDA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in Dox-treated cardiomyocytes but also further promoted the activities of cardiac superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH). Following exposure to 5 μM Dox, cotreatment with NAR exhibited increased cell viability with a decrease in the apoptosis cell population. Moreover, the levels of apoptosis-related proteins, as well as proteins involved in oxidative stress and autophagy, were altered after NAR treatment. Collectively, these findings underline the protective potential of NAR against Dox-induced cardiomyocyte injury by regulating Nrf-2/P62-related oxidative stress and autophagy, which could potentially promote survival. Natural fractures are the key factors controlling the enrichment of shale oil. It is of great significance to clarify the distribution of natural fractures to guide the selection of sweet spots for shale oil. Taking the Qing-1 Member shale oil reservoir in the northern Songliao Basin, China as an example, a new method considering the factors affecting fracture distribution was proposed to quantitatively predict the structural fractures. And the effect of natural fractures on shale oil enrichment was discussed. Firstly, the types and characteristics of fractures in shale oil reservoirs are characterized by using core and outcrop data. Combined with the experimental analysis, the influences of fault, mechanical stratigraphy, mineral composition and content, TOC, and overpressure on fracture intensity were clarified. Then, the number and density of fractures are quantitatively predicted according to the power-law distribution of fault length. Next, geomechanical simulation and fracture prediction were carried out on the model which was established with comprehensive consideration of the influencing factors of fracture distribution. Objective. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is one of the most common chronic complications of diabetes, leading to disability and decreased quality of life. In past research and clinical studies, the lower limb function of DPN patients was often the principal subject of research, with little attention given to the upper limb and hand. Our goal was to assess and compare hand function between elderly diabetic patients with DPN and without DPN. Methods. A total of 52 diabetic patients were registered and underwent hand function assessments and electrodiagnostic tests. Dynamometer, pinch meter, Semmes Weinstein monofilaments, and the Purdue Pegboard Test (PPT) were used to assess the patients' grip strength, pinch strength, tactile sensory threshold, and hand dexterity. Results. Compared with the non-DPN group, the elderly DPN group showed worse thumb-middle fingertip pinch strength and thumb-little fingertip pinch strength in the dominant hand (3.50 (2.50, 4.25) vs. 4.50 (3.00, 5.00), p = 0.019 ; 1.50 (1.00, 2.00) vs. 2.50 (2.00, 3.00), p < 0.001); the elderly DPN group displayed worse thumb-middle fingertip pinch strength, thumb-ring fingertip pinch strength, and thumb-little fingertip pinch strength in the nondominant hand (3.50 (2.00, 4.50) vs. 4.00 (3.00, 5.00), p = 0.013 ; 2.50 (1.25, 3.00) vs. 3.00 (2.50, 3.50), p = 0.033 ; 1.00 (0.75, 2.25) vs. 2.50 (2.00, 2.50), p < 0.001). The elderly DPN group scored lower than the non-DPN group on the PPT test of assembly (13.96 ± 5.18 vs. 16.96 ± 4.61 , t = 2.212 , p = 0.032). Conclusion. Motor function limitation is the principal hand dysfunction in elderly patients with DPN, which is mainly manifested as a decline in fingertip pinch strength and a decrease in hand dexterity. Background. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly malignant disease, and it is characterized by rapid progression and low five-year survival rate. At present, there are no effective methods for monitoring the treatment and prognosis of HCC. Methods. The transcriptome and gene expression profiles of HCC were obtained from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) program, International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. The random forest method was applied to construct a four-gene prognostic model based on RNA terminal phosphate cyclase like 1 (RCL1) expression. The Kaplan-Meier method was performed to evaluate the prognostic value of RCL1, long noncoding RNAs (AC079061, AL354872, and LINC01093), and four-gene signature (SPP1, MYBL2, TRNP1, and FTCD). We examined the relationship between RCL1 expression and immune cells infiltration, tumor mutation burden (TMB), and microsatellite instability (MSI). Results. The results of multiple databases indicated that the aberrant expression of RCL1 was associated with clinical outcome, immune cells infiltration, TMB, and MSI in HCC patients. Meanwhile, we found that long noncoding RNAs (AC079061, AL354872, and LINC01093) and RCL1 were significantly coexpressed in HCC patients. We also confirmed that the four-gene signature was an independent prognostic factor for HCC patients. Ferroptosis potential index, immune checkpoint molecules, and clinical feature were found to have obvious correlations with risk score. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve values for the model were 0.7–0.8 in the training set and the validation set, suggesting high robustness of the four-gene signature. We then built a nomogram for facilitating the use in clinical practice. Conclusion. Our study demonstrated that RCL1 and a novel four-gene signature can be used as prognostic biomarkers for predicting clinical outcome in HCC patients; and this model may assist in individualized treatment monitoring of HCC patients in clinical practice. Summary: The fuel rods in the lead‐based fast reactor (LFR) are usually supported by wire spacer, and the presence of the wire results in the complexity of the thermal‐hydraulic analysis in rod bundles. In this study, several previous experimental research about lead‐bismuth eutectic flowing through the rod bundle are investigated. Based on the collected experimental data, a series of flow and heat transfer correlations in the wire‐fixed rod bundle are compared and evaluated. The recommended correlations are then implemented into the in‐house sub‐channel analysis code SACOS‐PB. Furthermore, to account for the changes in the channel cross‐section parameters caused by the wire spacer, two optional wire geometric treatments were added to the code: axially‐averaged approach and axially‐varied approach with extra cross‐flow enhancement model. 19‐rod bundle and 61‐rod bundle tests are used to validate the optimized code. The deviations for the temperature differences of cladding and coolant in internal sub‐channels are within 25%, and the axially‐varied approach shows a higher prediction accuracy, which proves that the improvement of the SACOS‐PB are reliable. Pepsin soluble collagen (PSC) was extracted from blue shark (Prionace glauca) skin and was used for chitosan–collagen composite coating to investigate coating effects on fresh red porgy (Pagrus major) fillet quality during storage at 4°C. Total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB‐N), thiobarbituric acid (TBA), pH, K value, drip loss, and sensory evaluation scores were measured as deterioration indexes. Results show that coating by 1% of chitosan solutions containing 0.0%–0.8% of PSC significantly improved most deterioration indexes. Coating by 1% of chitosan solution containing 0.8% of PSC yielded the best results for K value, drip loss, and sensory evaluation, although the other indexes show no clear PSC concentration dependence. These results indicate 1% of chitosan solution containing 0.8% of PSC as the best coating formulation examined in this study. Practical applications: Aquatic products have high contents of water and protein. Their qualities are likely to decline because of endogenous chemical and enzyme reactions, and also because of the role of spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms during storage. The edible collagen and chitosan coating suggested by this research is biodegradable, biocompatible, cost effective, and is able to meet the requirements for food quality and storage duration. Pepsin soluble collagen (PSC) is an aquatic product processing by‐product that makes the maximum use of resources. As described herein, a composite formulation comprising collagen and chitosan improves preservation effects of different types of coatings. The Lonicera plants (family Caprifoliaceae) with strong antioxidant activity are used as potential health-supporting phytochemicals. Studying the detailed relationships between bioactive compounds and their antioxidant activity is important for further comprehensive development and application of them. In this paper, the antioxidant capacities and compositions of five species of Lonicera flowers were investigated by using the online HPLC-DAD/MS-DPPH method. Results indicated that the samples contained higher amounts of phenols had better antioxidant activity. Furthermore, principal component analysis and linear regression were further used to analyze the correlations between antioxidant capacity and compounds and find the compounds having higher contribution to antioxidant activity. 5-O-Caffeoylquinic acid, 4-O-caffeoylshikimic acid, methyl-5-O-caffeoylquinate, 1,4-di-O-caffeoylquinic acid, and 3,4,5-tri-O-caffeoylquinic acid were screened as stronger antioxidant candidates. In this study, HPLC-DAD/MS and antioxidant activity methods were combined together to analyze the compounds' information and activity assays of Lonicera, which might provide more evidence for its quality control. Circular RNAs are a class of endogenous noncoding RNAs that play an important role in gene regulation. These RNAs are involved in the development and progression of various cancers, but their roles in gastric cancer have not yet been thoroughly elucidated. This study showed that hsa_circ_0000467 expression was higher in gastric cancer tissues than in corresponding adjacent tissues (P < 0.050) and that hsa_circ_0000467 expression levels were correlated with gastric cancer histological grade (P < 0.050). In addition, hsa_circ_0000467 was remarkably upregulated in gastric cancer cell lines (P < 0.001). Cell function experiments indicated that hsa_circ_0000467 downregulation decreased the proliferation and invasion ability of BGC-823 and SGC-7901 cells and the number of cells entering the G2/M phase. A direct binding interaction was detected between hsa_circ_0000467 and miR-326-3p by dual-luciferase reporter assays. In addition, the results showed that inhibition of miR-326-3p reversed the decreases in the proliferation and invasion of BGC-823 and SGC-7901 cells caused by hsa_circ_0000647 downregulation. Inhibition of miR-326-3p also decreased the number of cells entering the G2/M phase and the expression of cyclin D1. In conclusion, hsa_circ_0000467 plays a regulatory role in the development and progression of gastric cancer by regulating miR-326-3p, and this circRNA may be a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target of gastric cancer. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is capable of causing a variety of chronic infections due to the formation of biofilms. Iron is essential for growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and therapies that interfere with iron may help treat P. aeruginosa infections. Herein, we investigated whether artesunate, which is a type of iron-dependent drug, could influence Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm formation and structure, including the underlying mechanisms. Artesunate could enhance twitching motility significantly and decrease the proportion of surviving cells in Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms in a dose-dependent manner. Artesunate treatment also reduced biofilm thickness, diffusion in the biomass, and the content of Fe(II). However, changes in biofilm structure and ion concentration were very similar following treatment with 512 μg/ml and 1024 μg/ml artesunate. Interestingly, both biofilm structure and surviving cell fraction were recovered after iron supplementation. These results suggest that artesunate interferes with Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms by decreasing bacterial viability and enhancing twitching motility in an iron-independent manner. Wilson’s disease (WD) is a genetic disorder of copper metabolism with pathological copper accumulation in the brain and any other tissues. This article aimed to assess lesions in cerebello-thalamo-cortical network with an advanced technique of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in WD. 35 WD patients and 30 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were recruited to accept diffusion-weighted images with 15 gradient vectors and conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The DTI parameters, including fractional anisotropy (FA) and mean diffusion (MD), were calculated by diffusion kurtosis estimator software. After registration, patient groups with FA mappings and MD mappings and normal groups were compared with 3dttest and receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, corrected with FDR simulations (p=0.001, α=0.05, cluster size = 326). We found that the degree of FA increased in the bilateral head of the caudate nucleus (HCN), lenticular nucleus (LN), ventral thalamus, substantia nigra (SN), red nucleus (RN), right dentate nucleus (DN), and decreased in the mediodorsal thalamus and extensive white matter. The value of MD increased in HCN, LN, SN, RN, and extensive white matter. The technique of DTI provides higher sensitivity and specificity than conventional MRI to detect Wilson’s disease. Besides, lesions in the basal ganglia, thalamus, and cerebellum might disconnect the basal ganglia-thalamo-cortical circuits or dentato-rubro-thalamic (DRT) track and disrupt cerebello-thalamo-cortical network finally, which may cause clinical extrapyramidal symptoms. Nonexercise activities (NAs) are common types of physical activity in daily life and critical component in energy expenditure. However, energetic assessment of NA, particularly in free-living subjects, is a technical challenge. In this study, mechanical modeling and portable device were used to evaluate five common types of NA in daily life: sit to stand, lie to sit, bowing while standing, squat, and right leg over left. A human indirect calorimeter was used to measure the activity energy expenditure of NA. Mechanical work and mechanical efficiency of NA were calculated for mechanical modeling. Thirty-two male subjects were recruited for the study (20 subjects for the development of models and 12 subjects for evaluation of models). The average (mean ± SD) mechanical work of 5 NAs was 2.31 ± 0.50, 2.88 ± 0.57, 1.75 ± 0.55, 3.96 ± 1.25, and 1.25 ± 0.51 J/kg·m, respectively. The mean mechanical efficiencies of those activities were 22.0 ± 3.3%, 26.5 ± 5.1%, 19.8 ± 3.7%, 24.0 ± 5.5%, and 26.3 ± 5.5%. The activity energy expenditure estimated by the models was not significantly different from the measurements by the calorimeter (p>0.05) with accuracies of 102.2 ± 20.7%, 103.7 ± 25.8%, 105.6 ± 14.6%, 101.1 ± 28.0%, and 95.8 ± 20.7%, respectively, for those activities. These findings suggest that the mechanical models combined with a portable device can provide an alternative method for the energetic analysis of nonexercise activities under free-living condition. Background. Quorum sensing (QS) systems play an important role in modulating biofilm formation. Recent studies have found that the QS molecules had complex effects on the host immune systems. In addition, regulatory T cells (Tregs), known as important negative regulators in the immune system, have been found upregulated in multiple chronic infections. Therefore, the QS systems were hypothesized to be involved in modulating Tregs in biofilm-associated infections. Object. To explore the effects of QS systems on Tregs in catheter-related Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm infection rat models. Method. Catheter-related Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm infection rat models were established; the bacterial clearance rates, total cell counts in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid, pathological changes of lungs, and the levels of Foxp3, TGF-β1, and IL-10 in PAO1 strain group were examined and compared with the QS-mutant ΔlasRΔrhlR and ΔlasIΔrhlI groups. Results. In PAO1 group, the bacterial clearance rates were lower, total cell counts were higher, pathological changes were severer, and the levels of Foxp3, TGF-β1, and IL-10 were significantly higher compared with QS-mutant groups (p<0.05). No significant difference was observed between the two QS-mutant groups (p>0.05). Conclusion. QS systems can trigger host immune system, accompanied with the upregulation of Tregs. Background. Previous studies showed that intestinal-fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP) may be a valid and promising serologic biomarker for early diagnosis of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Objective. To investigate the early diagnostic value of serologic I-FABP in NEC for the premature neonates. Methods. All major databases were searched from January 1, 1990, to May 1, 2015. We used Meta-Disc 1.4 and Revman5.0 software to calculate the diagnostic accuracy. Results. Seven studies with 444 subjects were identified. The pooled sensitivity of I-FABP was 0.67 for NEC I, 0.74 for NEC II, and 0.83 for NEC III, and the pooled specificity was 0.84, respectively, which showed a moderate diagnostic accuracy. The area under curve (AUC) for each stage was 0.75 (Q⁎=0.69), 0.82 (Q⁎=0.76), and 0.91 (Q⁎=0.84). The diagnostic threshold analysis showed no significant difference in threshold effect. The metaregression showed that the cut-off value has the largest effect on heterogeneity. The funnel plots indicated the existence of publication bias. Conclusion.
