This research paper is about the perception of being child-teenager and family living with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, and its challenges in basic attention in health. From qualitative in transversality approach with the convergent care research, done in a municipality of Bahia, during the period of August 2014-June/2015 through an active search, semi-structured questionnaires, and educational workshops. The results report on growing deficit of knowledge of the disease and treatments; difficulty in accessing the local healthcare system with the feeling of invisibility, followed by looking for healthcare in the state’s capital, and judicial battles in order to guarantee healthcare. It finalizes with the evidence of what is needed to the basic attention, and the healthcare professionals to keep a deeper insight on the perspective of the being child-teenager in their necessities of being-exist, and family with their demands for care at the know-how for a dignify and safer living within this age range.
