E-diaries were designed by physicians for the purpose of self- assessment of: everyday activities, self-care, social contacts, physical acivity, professional life, mood level, mental status; an e-diary serves also as a convienient tool for treatment and its tolerability self-monitoring. Updating questionaire data on a regular basis automatically generate graphs that allow users to observe dynamics and the trends in their health and well-being status with a longer time frame and perspective. In 18 months period 450 people registered on the website, and 80% of them experienced psychotic symptoms. Results of the project indicate that the user registration process is fast and easy, and no problems connected with fillinig out an e-diary were reported. Cumulative data of e-diaries can become an important source of relevant information that could be useful in therapeutic decision making. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
