Despite the advantages of literature review and the abundance of texts that discuss it, there is still a gap in critical reflection on its methodologies and uses. My goal in this editorial is to reflect on the practice of literature review in the administration field from a critical perspective. The literature review I am referring to is not just a set of techniques for conducting it; it is a collective doing among scholars, producing specific knowledge. By drawing on concepts such as fad, methodologism, and decolonial critique, we can conclude that contrary to the common belief among researchers, following rigid protocols in literature review does not necessarily lead to new knowledge. Instead, it reproduces pre-existing ways of thinking about a topic, which can inhibit reflective and critical thinking about research findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The world of work is one of the most striking exponents of the challenges faced by transgender (or trans) people, configuring one of the main spheres of exclusion and interdictions in the experiences of this group. Based on this understanding, the present study aims to review national scientific productions on the work of transgender people, specifically those published in article format. Through searching in the main national databases of scientific publications, 38 articles were selected on this topic. These articles were characterized using an analytical protocol. Their findings were categorized into four axes that led to discussions and reflections on Brazilian production about the work of trans people. The results and analyses allowed us to identify contributions, trends, and gaps in dealing with the topic, which reinforces the need for new research in this area, especially considering the potential of the work to contribute to the social inclusion of the trans population. Purpose: The transition from a product-based to a service-based economy is well recognized. In this context, service innovation (SI) has gained momentum among scholars. Despite that, a significant challenge associated with the shift from product-centeredness to a service orientation is structuring the knowledge management (KM) process for companies to remain competitive. This study sought to identify theoretical roots, research trajectories, and themes to propose future avenues in this field. Originality/value: Empirically, this study presents elements for SI and KM by conceptualizing, validating, and discussing the field's integration. The study also sheds light on theoretical roots and identifies the main research themes in literature. Design/methodology/approach: A review of 144 publications was performed at the intersection between SI and KM. The study conducted two bibliometric analyses -- co-citation analysis and co-occurrence analysis -- and a qualitative one to criticize the obtained quantitative results. Findings: This research contributes to the domain's understanding in three major ways. First, theoretical roots showed that the field is characterized by two groups of references: publications in the nascent period (before 2010) and emergent period (after 2011). Second, the meta-analysis showed five pioneering studies and revealed two crucial turning points in the literature, suggesting the following research stages. Third, four distinct research themes were identified: 1. innovation management; 2. business intelligence; 3. knowledge sharing; and 4. governance. This article systematizes the specific literature on LGBTQIA + cinema and education, identifying the methodological process and its main scientific contributions. Methodologically, when introducing the literature review as a research technique, it was intended to contribute to the construction of a literature review in a more systemic way so as to guarantee reliability in the production of scientific knowledge. It was verified, from the selection of variables and inclusion/exclusion criteria, that the analyzed studies about LGBTQIA+ cinema and education, suggest an absence of scientific productions on the theme, which undermines the problematizations and contributions to the destabilization of norms, classifications and hierarchies in the field of education. We aimed to investigate relationships between Facebook problematic use (Facebook PU) and pathological traits of personality, by a systematic review. The literature search was proceeded based on a search strategy including the keywords "Facebook", "problematic use" and "personality". We found a total of 236 publications and selected 21 papers for full verification. All of them were excluded, characterizing an empty review. As an attempt to increase the probability of finding eligible publications, first, we have broadened the search of the systematic review from "Facebook" to "social network sites" (and variations); and then from "social network sites" to "internet". Regarding this last change, the final set of publications after full reading based on the eligibility criteria was composed by 15 papers. We emphasize that there was no empirical evidence on the relationship between Facebook PU and pathological traits of personality. Given the proximity between Facebook PU and internet addiction, it is possible to hypothesize that there is a relationship between pathological traits (i.e., Neuroticism, Impulsivity, and Psychoticism) and Facebook PU. Despite the prevalence of personality disorders (PD) and their association with several harmful health outcomes, previous reports found a low number of studies on PDs conducted in Brazil. We conducted a narrative review to investigate the current state of research in Brazil focusing on PDs. The search was performed in BVS-Psi, PePSIC, and Google Scholar databases. We focused on papers published in Brazilian journals as a criterion to select studies conducted in Brazil and/or coordinated by Brazilian researchers. A total of 177 papers were included. Approximately 60% of papers were empirical studies, although only 47.17% of them had clinical samples. Borderline and Antisocial were the most recurrently investigated PDs. Two scales were usually administered, IDCP and PID-5. SCID-II was administered in less than 5% of empirical studies. We proposed an agenda for research on PDs in Brazil, including guidelines and directions eminently urgent to the studies to be conducted in Brazil. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of the study was to present a review of the international literature between 2014 and 2019 on the theme of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) in organizations. For this, the bibliometric protocol Methodi Ordinatio was used, which ranked 20 scientific articles considered most relevant in the period. The analysis of the publications discussed four topics: LGBTphobia in workplace; affinity groups; LGBT identity; organizational actions for LGBT inclusion. We conclude that although the topic of discrimination against LGBT remains strongly representative in the literature, new perspectives, ranging from emerging topics such as male harassment, heteronormative speech and activism, to new approaches to the themes traditionally investigated have been explored. The goal of the present paper is to systematically review the use of the Operationalized Portage Inventory (OPI) instrument to measure children's development from 0-6 years, in Brazilian publications. Using the PRISMA-P methodology, databases were assessed in Portuguese (Capes, BVS-Psychology, BVS-Bireme, Redalyc, Google Scholar) from 2002 to 2016. Forty-two studies were analyzed in terms of goals, procedures, design, results and limitations. Twelve papers were characterized as descriptive, 14 were correlational, and 16 involved intervention assessment. Studies suggested the OPI to be useful in describing and/or evaluating repertoires of 976 children with 19 different syndromes and 7 diverse risk conditions. Backgroung: People with Down syndrome (DS) may present changes in the lipid profile. The objective of this research was to collect data from the literature on the lipid profile and the effect of exercise on this variable of people with DS. Five databases were searched (MedLine, Lilacs, EBSCO Host, Web of Science and PsycInfo) using terms related to the research objectives. At the end of the searches, 15 articles were included in the review. Five studies verified changes in the lipid profile and high incidence of dyslipidemias, with the most frequent changes being low HDL and elevated triglycerides. Two studies investigated the effect of intervention with exercise and counseling for health-friendly practices and found improvement mainly in HDL after the intervention period. Thus, the lipid profile should be investigated in people with DS and the practice of physical exercises can be used to control these variables. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The objective of this research was to identify the development of literature on performance evaluation. It is an exploratory and descriptive research study, with a quali-quantitative approach through bibliometric analysis, using the ProKnow-C intervention instrument. The analyses showed that the main featured article was by Neely, Gregory and Platts (1995). The most influential article in the portfolio was Bourne et al. (2000), with the highest level of betweenness. There are four large clusters of prominent authors Neely, Bourne, Platts, Kennerley, Franco-Santos, Martinez and Bititci. The field of operations covers 50%; management and strategy cover 42% of the works while accounting covers only 8% of empirical studies. There is great emphasis on performance measurement (55%). The Balanced Scorecard is the tool that predominates in 23% of studies; in 30% of the works, was developed by proposing models based on the literature while in 24% of them it was based on a proposal developed by the authors. The study contributed to broaden the knowledge about the subject in order to allow an overview of the literature, when knowing the main authors working on the theme, periodicals, articles, themes, tools and areas of practice. This is a literature review study resulted of a bibliographic survey on the scientific production on the interdisciplinarity between information science and administrative science in Brazil. The goal is to identify aspects of scientific literature on the interdisciplinarity between both scientific fields. The following databases were used for the search: ABCDM, BRAPCI, BDTD, SPELL, ANPAD website, Scielo and Google Scholar, which jointly identified 10 works, namely: two theses, a dissertation, four ENANCIB papers and three articles from distinct journals. The papers analyzed refer to information as the link between the two scientific fields (Information Science and Administrative Science), and competitive intelligence and knowledge management as motivators of interdisciplinarity. The existing literature on the subject is scarce and focused on defining the intersection between Information Science and Administrative Science. The recovered works reveal that the study on interdisciplinary relations is an important tool for understanding Information Science as a science, as well as its characteristics and scope. Information Literacy has been the object of study in Information Science since its inception in 1974. Research related to the theme has led to the proliferation of Information Literacy models, used as reference framework, for application in other researches or in librarian practice. With this in view, we ask: what were the models of Information Literacy used as reference framework in dissertations and theses defended in Information Science Graduate Programs, from 2014 to 2018? The present work has as general goal: to identify the models of Information Literacy used more frequently in the research on Information Literacy in Brazil. And as specific goals: a) present a panorama of the Brazilian research on Information Literacy; b) present the main trends in the production of theses and dissertations on Information Literacy in Brazil; c) to carry out a systematic review of Brazilian research in Master's and Doctoral degrees in Information Science between 2014-2018. This is an exploratory, qualitative approach that uses as a method of bibliographic research the systematic review of the results obtained in a survey carried out at the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD, in the Portuguese acronym) of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT, in the Portuguese acronym). It concludes by pointing to the fact that the Information Literacy models are considered essential for the development of research on the subject and serves as theoretical and methodological basis for the critique, interpretation and application of concepts and methods on Information Literacy. This article aims to give an overview of the accumulated discussions about corruption, identifying and gathering its main occurrences in scientific research. The texts found during the literature review process reveal the heterogeneous and asymmetrical character of scientific literature on the subject. From the scarce or barely existing number of articles devoted exclusively to the literature review on corruption to the multitude of texts that tackle its causes, effects and perception, the subject is approached with different interests in the scientific community. Research on retail internationalization (RI) has undergone an intense development phase since the 1990s, dominated by quantitative research and based on the retail experience of large-scale retailers formats such as supermarkets. However, the internationalization of the retail sector has evolved into areas that existing models have not been able to explain, generating a demand for more thorough research. The result has been an increase of articles published since the early 2000s based on research of an exploratory and qualitative nature, such as case studies. In this article, main contributions are identified in RI arising from case studies resulting from the selection and analysis of 48 articles published in academic journals between 2000 and 2015. As a result, relevant findings on the steps of the RI process are presented, such as input modes for franchise, international divestment, and characteristics of the RI process of specific types of firms, such as fashion retailers and small- and medium-size retailers. This article presents the first case report from Latin America on the phenomenon of denial of pregnancy. This situation concerns the fact of a woman who discovers about her pregnancy at an advantage stage or only when she gives birth. The case report concerns a young woman who spent nine months without knowing that she was pregnant. Such experience is discussed based on the scientific literature of the phenomenon. Although a myriad of important theoretical and empirical contributions on ageing populations exist, these are diffuse and lack an integrated vision of the distinct mechanisms through which ageing populations affect economic growth. This being the case, in this paper we survey the literature that provides insights regarding the ageing population and its effect on economic growth. Because of the increasing number of Brazilian studies on body image (BI), the aim of the present study was to review Brazilian scientific research on the construction and adaptation of systematic assessment instruments for this construct. After conducting a broad literature search, 34 BI assessment studies were analyzed, including 27 adaptation studies and seven construction studies. The results were summarized based on the procedures that were used for the adaptation and construction of BI assessment instruments, indicating strong convergence among most researchers with regard to national and international recommendations on techniques to drive such processes and test the psychometric properties before implementing the instruments in professional practice. This paper derives from an extensive review of literature on physics applied to medicine in 41 journals CAPES Qualis A1, A2, and B1, 15 were Brazilian and 26 international ones, between the years 2000 to 2012. Such review showed that this research area is underexplored since only 51 papers approached this subject, 24 in Brazilian journals and 27 in international ones. None of them used an epistemological framework and only one was based on a learning theory. Most of these articles (29) were written by professionals that were not related to the education area, which might explain the observed lack of theoretical and epistemological frameworks. Physics applied to medicine offers a large potential for the teaching of physics since health situations might be used to help students add more meanings to physical concepts. Thus, additional studies based on learning theories and epistemological views of science are needed and their focus should be on applied research so as to involve the production of potentially meaningful materials to help students achieve meaningful learning in physics.
