Interior ballistics experiment is an indispensable link in the experimental teaching of weaponry in colleges and universities.Because of the risk of experimentation, the rapidity of the process, and the high cost of equipment, it is difficult to develop the interior ballistics in the actual teaching process. Taking the two typical experiments of projectile muzzle velocity test and rolling test as examples, the virtual reality technology was introduced into the traditional interior ballistics experiment, and an image and intuitive real-time virtual experiment scenario was established. The actual physical process was simulated through the calculation of interior ballistic simulation. Using the Unity3 D engine, an interior ballistic virtual experiment system with good visual immersion and interactivity has been developed. The teaching practice of the Weapons Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center of North University of China shows that the internal ballistic virtual experiment system saves experimental expenses, improves the flexibility of time and space, and has good practical and promotional value.
