This paper discusses the design process toward new lumped chaotic systems that originates in higher-order ordinary differential equations commonly used as description of ideal oscillators. In investigated third-order case, two chaotic oscillators were constructed. These systems are dual in the sense of vector field geometry local to fixed points. The existence of robust chaos was proved by both standard routines of numerical analysis and practical measurement. For the fourth-order oscillatory equation, the concept based on interaction between superinductor and supercapacitor was examined in detail. Since both "superelements" are active, the nonlinearity essential to the evolution of chaos is fully passive. It is demonstrated that complex motion is robust and does not represent long transient behavior or numerical artefact. The existence of chaos was verified using standard quantifiers of the flow, such as the largest Lyapunov exponents, recurrence plots, approximate entropy and sensitivity calculation. The segment misalignment is a common defect in the segment installation of a shield tunnel construction, due to the complexity and uncertainty of its construction conditions. This raises a concerning about the safety of the segment lining for the shield tunnel. In this paper, the integrated numerical models with surrounding rock, peastone grouting and segment lining were built using three-dimensional finite element method, by introducing two kinds of misaligned defects of segments. One was the misalignment that elongated the horizontal axis of the transversal ring section of segment lining, another was the misalignment between adjacent rings of segments. To eliminate the impact of boundary on numerical results, seven rings of segments are built for the three-dimensional finite element models, and the middle ring is dealt with for the results analysis under V-class surrounding rock, including the circumferential stress of outer and inner layers of the segment, the contact stress on joint surface between segments, and the stress of locating pins between adjacent rings. Results indicate that the two kinds of misaligned defects create pronounced impact on tensile stress of segment at the bottom and the crown segments, respectively, which produces a greater tensile stress to increase cracking risk even abrupt fracture of segment. However, the misaligned defects have a slight impact on the contact stress and the locating pins stress. Therefore, attention should be paid to the cracking of bottom or crown segments in the segment lining of shield tunnel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Reservoir simulation is crucial for understanding the flow response in underground reservoirs, and it significantly helps reduce uncertainties in geological characterization and optimize methodologies for field development strategies. However, providing efficient and accurate solutions for the strong heterogeneity remains challenging, as most of the discretization methods cannot handle this complexity. In this work, we perform a comprehensive assessment of various numerical linearization techniques employed in reservoir simulation, particularly focusing on the performance of the nonlinear solver for problem dealing with fluid flow in porous media. The primary linearization methods examined are finite difference central (FDC), finite forward difference (FDF), and operator-based linearization (OBL). These methods are rigorously analyzed and compared in terms of their accuracy, computational efficiency, and adaptability to changing reservoir conditions. The results demonstrate that each method has distinct strengths and limitations. The FDC method is more accurate particularly in complex simulations where strong heterogeneity are introduced but is generally slower in convergence. The OBL on the other hand, is more efficient and converges quickly, which makes it suitable for scenarios with limited computational resources and simple physics, while the FDF method provides a balanced combination of precision and computational speed, contingent upon careful step size management of the derivative estimations. This paper presents simple numerical solutions for electromagnetic plane waves in spatially homogenous time varying medium. The solution is based on converting the resulting second order differential equation into two combined ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically by using the built-in ode113 function in Matlab. By using this method, the time domain responses of the electric and magnetic fields at fixed point in space are obtained. The proposed method is applied on two cases: linearly time varying medium and sinusoidally time varying medium. The corresponding frequency domain response is obtained by using inverse Fourier transformation of the obtained time domain response. The proposed method is compared with FDTD solution. Layered rock slope exists widely. Because of its special slope structure, it is prone to bending deformation and toppling failure, which is a serious threat to engineering construction and safety operation. At present, the research of layered rock slope still has great innovation potential. During the construction of Wudongde Hydropower Station on Jinsha River, safety and stability problems such as slope geological structure development, face rock unloading and relaxation, and even slip and large deformation were encountered. Through field exploration, it is found that the rock and soil stratification of the slope on both sides of Wudongde Hydropower Station is highly obvious. At present, there is a lack of research on-site long-term displacement monitoring of layered rock high-steep slope, especially for layered slope in complex hydrogeology and construction environment. In order to strengthen the research on the deformation and stability of layered rock slope, this paper analyzes the measured displacement data of Wudongde hydropower station slope, and establishes three-dimensional geological finite element model with the help of numerical simulation software. The stability of the slope is calculated by combining the finite difference method and the strength reduction method. Finally, the evolution mechanism of the deformation of the layered rock slope is explained according to the geological structure characteristics. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: the layered slope in the dam reservoir area is prone to deformation under the combined action of long-term construction disturbance and fissure water seepage, and the construction disturbance has a strong influence on the artificial excavation area below 1070 m, and the maximum rock mass deformation and surface displacement in the artificial excavation area of the slope reach 92.2 mm and 312.5 mm, respectively. However, the influence of construction disturbance on the natural mountain above 1070 m is limited, the valley deformation of the natural mountain on the left bank of the reservoir area is higher than that on the right bank, and the cumulative deformation is still less than 20 mm. The influence of seepage on the displacement of the area with higher elevation at the top of the slope is more obvious, and the influence of excavation and other disturbances on the displacement of the artificial excavation area with lower elevation is more obvious. The deformation of the river valley in the water cushion pond behind the dam increases slowly, and the change trend of the field deformation data is mostly consistent with that of the numerical calculation. The horizontal shrinkage of the mountains on both sides shows a contraction trend on the whole, and the maximum horizontal shrinkage calculated by numerical simulation is close to 20 mm, which is located at the elevation of 990 m. This paper deals with the mathematical analysis of Tuberculosis by using fractal fractional operator. Mycobacterium TB is the bacteria that causes tuberculosis. This airborne illness mostly impacts the lungs but may extend to other body organs. When the infected individual coughs, sneezes or speaks, the bacterium gets released into the air and travels from one person to another. Five classes have been formulated to study the dynamics of this disease: susceptible class, infected of DS, infected of MDR, isolated class, and recovered class. To study the suggested fractal fractional model’s wellposedness associated with existence results, and boundedness of solutions. Further, the invariant region of the considered model, positive solutions, equilibrium point, and reproduction number. One would typically employ a fractional calculus approach to obtain numerical solutions for the fractional order Tuberculosis model using the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method. With the development of cloud computing, users are more inclined to outsource complex computing tasks to cloud servers with strong computing capacity, and the cloud returns the final calculation results. However, the cloud is not completely trustworthy, which may leak the data of user and even return incorrect calculations on purpose. Therefore, it is important to verify the results of computing tasks without revealing the privacy of the users. Among all the computing tasks, the polynomial calculation is widely used in information security, linear algebra, signal processing and other fields. Most existing polynomial-based verifiable computation schemes require that the input of the polynomial function must come from a single data source, which means that the data must be signed by a single user. However, the input of the polynomial may come from multiple users in the practical application. In order to solve this problem, the researchers have proposed some schemes for multi-source outsourced data, but these schemes have the common problem of low efficiency. To improve the efficiency, this paper proposes an efficient polynomial-based verifiable computation scheme on multi-source outsourced data. We optimize the polynomials using Horner's method to increase the speed of verification, in which the addition gate and the multiplication gate can be interleaved to represent the polynomial function. In order to adapt to this structure, we design the corresponding homomorphic verification tag, so that the input of the polynomial can come from multiple data sources. We prove the correctness and rationality of the scheme, and carry out numerical analysis and evaluation research to verify the efficiency of the scheme. The experimental indicate that data contributors can sign 1000 new data in merely 2 s, while the verification of a delegated polynomial function with a power of 100 requires only 18 ms. This paper presents a novel approach to analyzing the dynamics of COVID-19 using nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) schemes. Our model incorporates both asymptomatic and symptomatic infected individuals, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of the epidemic's spread. We introduce an unconditionally stable NSFD system that eliminates the need for traditional Runge–Kutta methods, ensuring dynamical consistency and numerical accuracy. Through rigorous numerical analysis, we evaluate the performance of different NSFD strategies and validate our analytical findings. Our work demonstrates the benefits of using NSFD schemes for modeling infectious diseases, offering advantages in terms of stability and efficiency. We further illustrate the dynamic behavior of COVID-19 under various conditions using numerical simulations. Enhancing information security has become increasingly significant in the digital age. This paper investigates the concept of physical layer security (PLS) within a relay-aided power line communication (PLC) system operating over a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel based on MK model. Specifically, we examine the transmission of confidential signals between a source and a distant destination while accounting for the presence of multiple eavesdroppers, both colluding and non-colluding. We propose a two-phase jamming scheme that leverages a full-duplex (FD) amplify-and-forward (AF) relay to address this challenge. Our primary objective is to maximize the secrecy rate, which necessitates the optimization of the jamming precoding and transmitting precoding matrices at both the source and the relay while adhering to transmit power constraints. We present a formulation of this problem and demonstrate that it can be efficiently solved using an effective block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm. Simulation results are conducted to validate the convergence and performance of the proposed algorithm. These findings confirm the effectiveness of our approach. Furthermore, the numerical analysis reveals that our proposed algorithm surpasses traditional schemes that lack jamming to achieve higher secrecy rates. This paper presents the results of an analysis of the porous structure of spherical activated carbons obtained from cation-exchange resin beads subjected to ion exchange prior to activation. The study investigated the effects of the type of cation exchange resin, the concentration of potassium cations in the resin beads and the temperature of the activation process on the adsorption properties of the resulting spherical activated carbons. The numerical clustering-based adsorption analysis method and the quenched solid density functional theory were used to analyse the porous structure of spherical activated carbons. Based on original calculations and unique analyses, complex relationships between preparation conditions and the porous structure properties of the obtained spherical activated carbons were demonstrated. The results of the study indicated the need for simultaneous analyses using advanced methods for the analysis of porous structures, i.e., the numerical clustering-based adsorption analysis method and the quenched solid density functional theory. This approach allows a reliable and precise determination of the adsorption properties of the materials analysed, including, among other things, surface heterogeneities, and thus an appropriate selection of production conditions to obtain materials with the expected adsorption properties required for a given industrial process. Analytical techniques used for estimating thermoelastic damping by incorporating both mechanical and thermal interactions between surfaces and the rest of the bulk are intricate and challenging due to the limited understanding of the damping mechanisms in extra-thin films subjected to forced vibrations. This paper proposes a modified model to analytically calculate the thermoelastic damping of ultrathin elastic films due to surface effects and analyzes the thermoelastic damping variation with different factors through numerical experiments on two materials. The model considers surface stresses derived from the elastic surface theory using Kirchhoff's kinetic hypothesis and determines thermoelastic damping by considering thermal dissipation and elastic potential energy. The results show that surface effects significantly influence the thermoelastic damping of the film, and the specific behavior of a thin film's thermoelastic damping with respect to film thickness is impacted by various factors, including material property, the variation range of film thickness, and the forced vibration frequency. This study provides insights into the thermoelastic damping behavior of thin films and has important implications for the development of nanoscale oscillators in MEMS or NEMS systems. Carbon doping in GaN-on-Silicon (Si) epitaxial layers is an essential way to reduce leakage current and improve breakdown voltage. However, complicated occupy forms caused by carbon lead to hard analysis leakage/breakdown mechanisms of GaN-on-Si epitaxial layers. In this paper, we demonstrate the space charge distribution and intensity in GaN-on-Si epitaxial layers from 0 to 448 V by simulation. Depending on further monitoring of the trapped charge density of CN and CGa in carbon-doped GaN at 0.1 μm, 0.2 μm, 1.8 μm and 1.9 μm from unintentionally doped GaN/carbon-doped GaN interface, we discuss the relationship between space charge and plateau, breakdown at CN concentrations from 6 × 1016 cm−3 to 6 × 1018 cm−3. The results show that CN in different positions of carbon-doped GaN exhibits significantly different capture and release behaviors. By utilizing the capture and release behavior differences of CN at different positions in carbon-doped GaN, the blocking effect of space charge at unintentionally doped GaN/carbon-doped GaN interface on electron conduction was demonstrated. The study would help to understand the behavior of CN and CGa in GaN-on-Si epitaxial layers and more accurate control of CN and CGa concentration at different positions in carbon-doped GaN to improve GaN-on-Si device performance. The prestressed and steel-reinforced concrete slab (PSRCS) is an innovative composite structural member offering high load capacity and stiffness and exceptional anti-crack performance, making it a leading trend in composite structures. This paper presents the derived calculation formulas for bearing capacity, section stiffness, mid-span deflection of PSRCS. Additionally, a numerical analysis of PSRCS is conducted using ABAQUS software, with several models created to systematically investigate bearing capacity, section stiffness, anti-crack performance, and failure mode. Concurrently, PSRCS member parameters are analyzed for optimal design, and the results of finite element (FE) calculations are compared with theoretical formula calculations. The results demonstrate that PSRCS exhibits superior load capacity, section stiffness, and anti-crack performance comparing to conventional slabs. It is difficult to calculate the buckle cable force for the cantilever casting concrete arch bridge. Relying on the 180 m-span Jiming Sansheng Bridge, this paper put forward one method to calculate the initial buckle cable force based on the stress balance method. Firstly, the stress balance equation considering only tensile stress was derived for the first time, and the feasible region of the initial cable force was calculated by the allowable tensile stress of the arch rib, which improved the original stress balance method. Then, using the influence matrix, the initial buckle cable force was optimized by reducing the allowable tensile stress of concrete in stages, and finally the optimal initial cable force was obtained. The practical engineering results show that it is feasible to calculate the initial buckle force. The maximum tensile stress of concrete arch during the cantilever casting process is 1.52 MPa, meeting the specification requirements. The deviation between the calculated and measured stress is less than 12%. The calculated cable force agrees with the measured cable force, and the deviation is less than 2%. The initial cable force is only tensioned once, improving work efficiency. The method and experience of this paper can provide a reference for the arch bridge constructed by cantilever casting. The intention of this work is to study a mathematical model for fractal-fractional tuberculosis and COVID-19 co-infection under the Atangana-Baleanu fractal-fractional operator. Firstly, we formulate the tuberculosis and COVID-19 co-infection model by considering the tuberculosis recovery individuals, the COVID-19 recovery individuals, and both disease recovery compartment in the proposed model. The fixed point approach is utilized to explore the existence and uniqueness of the solution in the suggested model. This paper introduces a new type of steel-concrete composite pylon that has been applied to Nanjing Fifth Yangtze River Bridge (a three-pylon cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 600 m). For this new type of pylon, the steel shells are connected with concrete through PBL shear connectors and studs, and the inner steel shells are connected with the outer steel shells by angle steels. Numerical analysis and full-scale model tests show that the pylon structure exhibits excellent mechanical properties and construction performance. The application of BIM technology, the research and development of special spreaders and construction platforms ensure the precise installation of structures. Highly factory-manufactured modular assembly of the reinforced steel shell structure can effectively reduce the intensity and difficulty of on-site operations, and improve the quality of the project, with low construction risks. Little seems to be considered about the globally exponentially asymptotical stability of parabolic type equilibria and the existence of heteroclinic orbits in the Lorenz-like system with high-order nonlinear terms. To achieve this target, by adding the nonlinear terms yz and x 2 y to the second equation of the system, this paper introduces the new 3D cubic Lorenz-like system: x ˙ = a (y - x) , y ˙ = b 1 y + b 2 y z + b 3 x z + b 4 x 2 y , z ˙ = - c z + y 2 , which does not belong to the generalized Lorenz systems family. In addition to giving rise to generic and degenerate pitchfork bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation, hidden Lorenz-like attractors, singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles with nearby chaotic attractors, etc., one still rigorously proves that not only the parabolic type equilibria S x = { (x , x , x 2 c) | x ∈ R , c ≠ 0 } are globally exponentially asymptotically stable, but also there exists a pair of symmetrical heteroclinic orbits with respect to the z-axis, as most other Lorenz-like systems. To model the COVID-19 infection and develop effective control measures, this paper proposes an SEIR-type epidemic model considering the impact of face-mask wearing and vaccination. Firstly, the effective reproduction number and the threshold conditions are obtained. Secondly, based on the data of South Korea from January 20, 2022 to March 21, 2022, the model parameters are estimated. Finally, a sensitivity analysis and the numerical study are conducted. The results show that the face-mask wearing is associated with 83 % and 90 % reductions in the numbers of cumulative cases and newly confirmed cases, respectively, after a period of 60 days, when the face mask wearing rate increases by 15 % . Furthermore, the vaccination rate is associated with 75 % and 80 % reductions in the numbers of cumulative cases and the newly confirmed cases, respectively, after the same period of 60 days when the vaccination rate is increased by 15 % . A combined measure involving face-mask wearing and vaccination may be more effective and reasonable in preventing and controlling this infection. It is also suggested that disease control departments should strongly recommended the wearing of face masks s as well as vaccination to prevent the unvaccinated people from becoming infected. The power transfer efficiency (PTE) is a crucial aspect for effective wireless power transfer (WPT) applications. The quality factor (Q) of the WPT coil plays a critical role in ensuring higher PTE. In this paper, a novel method of improving the Q of a WPT coil is proposed. Resistance reduction techniques are presented which involves variation of the trace pitch, width, and thickness. This approach targets the high AC losses centered in the inner turns, which subsequently results in an increased Q. Numerical analysis with respect to the inductance and resistance models are presented, analyzed, and compared to that of the EM simulation results. To verify the efficacy of the proposed coil structure, a prototype is fabricated where good agreement is achieved between the measured and simulated results. The proposed coil attained a quality factor increment of about 19.24% at 85 kHz in comparison to the conventional one. A mathematical model is presented in this paper to investigate the effects of time delay in vaccine production on COVID-19 spread. The model is analyzed qualitatively and numerically. The qualitative analysis indicates that the system variables are non-negative, bounded, and biologically meaningful. Moreover, the model has produced two equilibrium points: the free equilibrium point, which can exist without conditions, and the endemic equilibrium point, which can exist if the control reproduction number, R c , is not less than one. In addition, the local stability of the equilibrium points is investigated and agrees with the numerical analysis results. Finally, a sensitivity analysis is conducted for R c . Spider webs are finely tuned multifunctional structures, widely studied for their prey capture functionalities such as impact strength and stickiness. However, they are also sophisticated sensing tools that enable the spider to precisely determine the location of impact and capture the prey before it escapes. In this paper, we suggest a new mechanism for this detection process, based on potential modal analysis capabilities of the spider, using its legs as distinct distributed point sensors. To do this, we consider a numerical model of the web structure, including asymmetry in the design, prestress, and geometrical nonlinearity effects. We show how vibration signals deriving from impacts can be decomposed into web eigenmode components, through which the spider can efficiently trace the source location. Based on this numerical analysis, we discuss the role of the web structure, asymmetry, and prestress in the imaging mechanism, confirming the role of the latter in tuning the web response to achieve an efficient prey detection instrument. In regions with limited potable water availability, membrane desalination is being employed to filter water using a pressure-driven approach. Because of the high energy consumption required to produce the pressure differential needed for this method, researchers have been trying different geometric designs of spacer filaments to enhance the amount of permeate flux in terms of energy utilization. The purpose of spacer filaments is to support membranes structurally and induce turbulent mixing in spiral wound membrane desalination. In this paper, the improvement of mass transfer in desalination driven by reverse osmosis has been studied using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with the introduction of spiral wound membranes that are lined with spacer filaments in a zig-zag formation having alternating diameters for strands. The fluid flow characteristics for a 2-dimensional geometric model were resolved using the open-source program OpenFOAM by changing the Reynolds number to just before the inception of instabilities. Ratios of alternate strand diameters were also varied between one and two. Based on a detailed analysis of velocity contours, pressure distribution, wall shear stresses, and steady-state vortex systems, the research findings offer guidance for employing alternating strand design in zig-zag formation for optimum mass transfer and minimal pressure drop when accounting for concentration polarization. Implicit staggered-grid finite-difference (SGFD) methods are widely used for the first-order acoustic wave-equation modeling. The identical implicit SGFD operator is commonly used for all of the first-order spatial derivatives in the first-order acoustic wave-equation. In this paper, we propose a hybrid explicit implicit SGFD (HEI-SGFD) scheme which could simultaneously preserve the wave-equation simulation accuracy and increase the wave-equation simulation speed. We use a second-order explicit SGFD operator for half of the first-order spatial derivatives in the first-order acoustic wave-equation. At the same time, we use the implicit SGFD operator with added points in the diagonal direction for the other first-order spatial derivatives in the first-order acoustic wave-equation. The proposed HEI-SGFD scheme nearly doubles the wave-equation simulation speed compared to the implicit SGFD schemes. In essence, the proposed HEI-SGFD scheme is equivalent to the second-order FD scheme with ordinary grid format. We then determine the HEI-SGFD coefficients in the time–space domain by minimizing the phase velocity error using the least-squares method. In this paper, we have considered a deterministic mathematical model to analyze effective interventions for meningitis and pneumonia coinfection as well as to make a rational recommendation to public healthy, policy or decision makers and programs implementers. We have introduced the epidemiology of infectious diseases, the epidemiology of meningitis, the epidemiology of pneumonia, and the epidemiology of infection of meningitis and pneumonia. The positivity and boundedness of the sated model was shown. Our model elucidate that, the disease free equilibrium points of each model are locally asymptotically stable if the corresponding reproduction numbers are less than one and globally asymptotically stable if the corresponding reproduction numbers are greater than one. Additionally, we have analyzed the existence and uniqueness of the endemic equilibrium point of each sub models, local stability and global stability of the endemic equilibrium points for each model. By using standard values of parameters we have obtained from different studies, we found that the effective reproduction numbers of meningitis R e f f (m) = 9 and effective reproduction numbers of pneumonia R e f f (p) = 11 that lead us to the effective reproduction number of the meningitis and pneumonia co-infected model is m a x R e f f m , R e f f (p) = 9 . Applying sensitivity analysis, we identified the most influential parameters that can change the behavior of the solution of the meningitis pneumonia coinfection dynamical system are α 1 , α 2 and π . Biologically, decrease in α 1 and increasing in π is a possible intervention strategy to reduce the infectious from communities. Finally, our numerical simulation has shown that vaccination against those diseases, reducing contact with infectious persons and treatment have the great effect on reduction of these silent killer diseases from the communities. Coaxial electrohydrodynamic jet (CE-Jet) printing is an encouraging method for fabrication of high-resolution micro and nanostructures in MEMS systems. This paper presents a novel simulation work based on phase field method which is considered as a precise technique in fluid dynamics. The study explores influence of various parameters such as applied voltage, needle-substrate distance, dynamic viscosity, relative permittivity, needle size and flow rate on stability and resolution of CE-Jet morphologies. The morphology of CE-Jet exhibits that width of cone-jet profile and printed structures on substrate were directly proportional to relative permittivity and flow rate. In addition, it was inversely proportional to dynamic viscosity and applied voltage. The study examine that CE-Jet length of inner liquid is inversely proportional to needle-substrate distance in same time. It was later verified in experimental study by producing stable CE-Jet morphology with 300 μm diameter using optimized parameters (i.e., DC voltage 7.0 kV and inner liquid flow rate 400 nl/min) as compared to other validation studies such as 400 μm and 500 μm. The CE-Jet printing technique investigates significant changes in consistency and stability of CE-Jet morphologies and makes Jet unique and comparable when adjustment accuracy reaches 0.01 mm. PZT sol line structures with a diameter of 1 µm were printed directly on substrate using inner needle (diameter of 120 µm). The important role of a dynamic model is to study the response characteristics of a system under different parameters or fault states. These response characteristics can be used in many aspects, such as condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. Usually, the response characteristics can be obtained through numerical analysis, but we do not know why such characteristics appear, which hinders our understanding and utilization of vibration. The innovation of this paper is to reasonably explain why such response characteristics appear. First, a simplified dynamic model of a typical blade disk rotor system is constructed by using the classical continuous parameter modeling method. Based on the dynamic model, for two structural forms of moving and stationary blades, the typical characteristics of the vibration response under the actions of aerodynamic force and blade cracks are analyzed by means of numerical solution. Then, from the perspective of kinematics and dynamics, the internal mechanism between the vibration responses and the excitations is revealed. Finally, based on Number Theory, the response characteristics and mechanisms of typical structures are summarized, and the general laws of responses with general structural forms are established. Influenza is an infectious disease with obvious periodic changes over time. It is of great practical significance to explore the non-environment-related factors that cause this regularity for influenza control and individual protection. In this paper, based on the randomness of population number and the heterogeneity of population contact, we have established a stochastic infectious disease model about influenza based on the degree of the network, and obtained the power spectral density function by using the van Kampen expansion method of the master equation. The relevant parameters are obtained by fitting the influenza data of sentinel hospitals. The results of the numerical analysis show that: (1) for the infected, the infection period of patients who go to the sentinel hospitals is particularly different from the others who do not; (2) for all the infected, there is an obvious nonlinear relationship between their infection period and the visiting rate of the influenza sentinel hospitals, the infection rate and the degree. Among them, only the infection period of patients who do not go to the sentinel hospitals decreased monotonously with the infection rate (increased monotonously with the visiting rate), while the rest had a non-monotonic relationship.
