We find the time evolution law of a negative binomial optical field in a diffusion channel. We reveal that by adjusting the diffusion parameter, the photon number can be controlled. By using the method of density-matrix renormalization-group to solve the different spin-spin correlation functions, the nearest-neighbouring entanglement (NNE) and the next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement (NNNE) of one-dimensional alternating Heisenberg XY spin chain are investigated in the presence of alternating the-nearest-neighbouring interaction of exchange couplings, external magnetic fields and the next-nearest neighbouring interaction. For a dimerised ferromagnetic spin chain, the NNNE appears only above a critical dimerized interaction, meanwhile, the dimerized interaction a effects a quantum phase transition point and improves the NNNE to a large extent. We also study the effect of ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic next-nearest neighbouring (NNN) interaction on the dynamics of NNE and NNNE. The ferromagnetic NNN interaction increases and shrinks the NNE below and above a critical frustrated interaction respectively, while the antiferromagnetic NNN interaction always reduces the NNE. The antiferromagnetic NNN interaction results in a large value of NNNE compared with the case where the NNN interaction is ferromagnetic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we investigate the dynamical behaviour of entanglement in terms of concurrence in a bipartite system subjected to an external magnetic field under the action of dissipative environments in the extended Werner-like initial state. The interesting phenomenon of entanglement sudden death as well as sudden birth appears during the evolution process. We analyse in detail the effect of the purity of the initial entangled state of two qubits via Heisenberg XY interaction on the apparition time of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth. Furthermore, the conditions on the conversion of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth can be generalized when the initial entangled state is not pure. In particular, a critical purity of the initial mixed entangled state exists, above which entanglement sudden birth vanishes while entanglement sudden death appears. It is also noticed that stable entanglement, which is independent of different initial states of the qubits (pure or mixed state), occurs even in the presence of decoherence. These results arising from the combination of the extended Werner-like initial state and dissipative environments suggest an approach to control and enhance the entanglement even after purity induced sudden birth, death and revival. Using the method of the Jordan-Wigner transformation for solving different spin-spin correlation functions, we have investigated the generation of next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement in a one-dimensional quantum Ising spin chain with the Gaussian distribution impurities of exchange couplings and external magnetic fields taken into account. The maximal value of entanglement between the next-nearest-neighbouring qubits in the transverse Ising model was analysed in detail by varying the effectively controlled parameters such as interchange coupling, magnetic field and the system impurity. For such systems, where both exchange couplings and external magnetic field disorder appear, we show that it is possible to achieve next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement better than the previously discussed pure Ising spin chain case. We also show that the Gaussian distribution impurity can induce next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement, which can be used as a means to characterize quantum phase transition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper a new class of finite-dimensional even and odd nonlinear pair coherent states (EONLPCSs), which can be realized via operating the superposed evolution operators D±(t) on the state |q, 0), is constructed, then their orthonormalized property, completeness relations and some nonclassical properties are discussed. It is shown that the finite-dimensional EONLPCSs possess normalization and completeness relations. Moreover, the finite-dimensional EONLPCSs exhibit remarkably different sub-Poissonian distributions and phase probability distributions for different values of parameters q,e and z. This paper investigates the entanglement evolution of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XYZ chain in the presence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. The time evolution of the concurrence is studied for the initial pure entangled states cos th |00[?] + sin th |11[?] and cos ph |01[?] + sin ph |10[?] at zero temperature. The influences of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction D, anisotropic parameter D and environment coupling strength g on entanglement evolution are analysed in detail. It is found that the effect of noisy environment obviously suppresses the entanglement evolution, and the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction D acts on the time evolution of entanglement only when the initial state is cos ph |01[?] + sin ph |10[?]. Finally, a formula of steady state concurrence is obtained, and it is shown that the stable concurrence, which is independent of different initial states and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction D, depends on the anisotropic parameter D and the environment coupling strength g.
