Abstract

The article investigates iridoids and noridoprenoid content of Paederia scandens variety tomentosa, a climbing plant belonging to the genus Paederia that is widely distributed in China, Japan, India, and Malaysia. One norisoprenoid and six iridoids were isolated from the plant, with compounds 1-3 from the genus Paederia and compound 1 from the family Rubiaceae. 80% ethanol was used to extract the dried whole plants of P. scandens variety tomentosa, which were evaporated under vacuum.
