This paper describes a collaborative project between the Virtual School of Engineering (VSE) at The University of Queensland (UQ) and two junior and senior Science classes at Townsville State High School (SHS). The project involved the science students working with real world engineering problems using on-line resources. These problems were created by the senior science teacher and incorporated into the VSE, a Web-based learning program accessible at: http://www.library.uq.edu.au/schools/. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
