This paper focuses on the problem of the hierarchical multi‐label classification of research papers, which is the task of assigning the set of relevant labels for a paper from a hierarchy, using reduced amounts of labelled training data. Specifically, we study leveraging unlabelled data, which are usually plentiful and easy to collect, in addition to the few available labelled ones in a semi‐supervised learning framework for achieving better performance results. Thus, in this paper, we propose a semi‐supervised approach for the hierarchical multi‐label classification task of research papers based on the well‐known Co‐training algorithm, which exploit content and bibliographic coupling information as two distinct papers' views. In our approach, two hierarchical multi‐label classifiers, are learnt on different views of the labelled data, and iteratively select their most confident unlabelled samples, which are further added to the labelled set. The success of our suggested Co‐training‐based approach lies in two main components. The first is the use of two suggested selection criteria (i.e., Maximum Agreement and Labels Cardinality Consistency) that enforce selecting confident unlabelled samples. The second is the appliance of an oversampling method that rebalances the labels distribution of the initial labelled set, which reduces the reinforcement of the label imbalance issue during the Co‐training learning. The proposed approach is evaluated using a collection of scientific papers extracted from the ACM digital library. Although sorting techniques (e.g. card sorts) are widely used in knowledge acquisition and requirements acquisition, they have received little formal attention compared to related techniques such as repertory grids and laddering. This paper briefly describes the main sorting techniques, and then provides a detailed tutorial on one variety (repeated single-criterion sorts), using a worked example. Guidelines for choice and sequencing of techniques are given, both in relation to varieties of sorting technique and in relation to other techniques. With the impact of the COVID‐19 epidemic, the demand for masked face recognition technology has increased. In the process of masked face recognition, some problems such as less feature information and poor robustness to the environment are obvious. The current masked face recognition model is not quantified enough for feature extraction, there are large errors for faces with high similarity, and the categories cannot be clustered during the detection process, resulting in poor classification of masks, which cannot be well adapted to changes in multiple environments. To solve current problems, this paper designs a new masked face recognition model, taking improved Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) model as a face detector, and replaces the input layer VGG16 of SSD with Deep Residual Network (ResNet) to increase the receptive field. In order to better adapt to the network, we adjust the convolution kernel size of ResNet. In addition, we fine‐tune the Xception network by designing a new fully connected layer, and reduce the training cycle. The weights of the three input samples including anchor, positive and negative are shared and clustered together with triplet network to improve recognition accuracy. Meanwhile, this paper adjusts alpha parameter in triplet loss. A higher value of alpha can improve the accuracy of model recognition. We further adopt a small trick to classify and predict face feature vectors using multi‐layer perceptron (MLP), and a total of 60 neural nodes are set in the three neural layers of MLP to get higher classification accuracy. Moreover, three datasets of MFDD, RMFRD and SMFRD are fused to obtain high‐quality images in different scenes, and we also add data augmentation and face alignment methods for processing, effectively reducing the interference of the external environment in the process of model recognition. According to the experimental results, the accuracy of masked face recognition reaches 98.3%, it achieves better results compared with other mainstream models. In addition, the hyper‐parameters tuning experiment is carried out to improve the utilization of computing resources, which shows better results than the indicators of different networks. The combination of computer algorithms to diagnose clinical images has attracted more and more attention. This research aims to improve the efficiency of gastric cancer (GC) diagnosis, so deep learning (DL) algorithms are tentatively used to assist doctors in the diagnosis of gastric cancer. In the experiment, the collected 3591 gastroscopic images were divided into network training set and experimental verification test set. The lesion samples in the image are all marked by many endoscopists with many years of clinical experience. In order to improve the experimental effect, 5261 endoscopic images were obtained by expanding the training set. Then the obtained training set is input into the convolutional neural network (CNN) for training, and finally get the algorithm model DLU‐Net. By inputting 598 test set samples into the CNN constructed in this paper, five results such as advanced GC, early GC, precancerous lesions, normal and benign lesions can be identified and output, with a total accuracy of 94.1%. It can be concluded that the DL algorithm model constructed in this paper can effectively identify the staging characteristics of cancer as well as gastroscopic images, greatly improve efficiency, and effectively assist physicians in the diagnosis of GC under gastroscopy. The mapping method that is based on the name and structure of the ontology elements is the strategy used in most mapping methods. Methods using the name often only use the similarity between the individual elements in the ontology to predict the semantic relations between two ontologies, while the latter measure the mapping between two ontologies by means of the structural relations between the elements. The effects of these two kinds of mapping strategies are not ideal. Addressing this issue, the work presented in this paper proposes an ontology mapping approach, in which the ontology element name and structure are combined. It uses the approaches based on linguistics and distance to generate a variable weight semantic graph. On this graph, the similarity of element names and structure are calculated through iterative computation. In the process of iteration, similarity result values are constantly adjusted. The approach avoids the problem of single methods that cannot use the entire amount of ontology information; therefore, it provides a more ideal mapping result. Improving energy efficiency by adjusting the structure of energy consumption types is of great significance for reducing carbon emissions in the short term. The present paper constructs new data envelopment analysis models for evaluating energy utilization under different structural conditions and calculating potential emissions reductions. We conducted empirical research on 30 provinces in China from 2003 to 2019—a time frame that coincides with the instituting of China's “coal‐to‐gas” program. Our results show that technological progress is the main way for China to reduce carbon emissions and that it is possible to reduce the total amount of carbon emissions by 35%. Additionally, optimizing the energy consumption structure following the coal‐to‐gas program guidelines could reduce the country's carbon emissions by a further 25%. Finally, this paper provides specific policy recommendations based on the efficiency analysis results to guide each province in reducing carbon emissions under the conditions of energy demand growth. Medical image segmentation through the use of deep learning is becoming a trend targeting to automate disease detection and provide effective treatment. Traditionally huge manual efforts are associated with medical image processing by medical staff. The wide use of neural networks driven by the progressive advancement in computing power and the availability of training data provides instrumental means to automate medical image processing. A polyp refers to an abnormal growth that can occur in various parts of the body. While the majority of polyps are noncancerous or benign, there are instances where certain types can develop into cancer. Detecting and segmenting polyps is highly valuable for identifying early signs and potentially enabling more effective treatment of colon cancer. In this paper, we introduce a novel method for segmenting polyp images. The proposed method utilizes convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and employs an enhanced attention mechanism. To cater to a more granular attention view, this paper enhances the Convolutional Block Attention Module by introducing the multi‐focal channel attention (MFCA) concept, which we call MFCA. In the proposed MFCA channel attention, focal attention spots allow us to consider scattered areas of interest more effectively. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, multiple experiments are conducted on five well‐known benchmark datasets for polyp image segmentation: Kvasir, CVC‐Clinic DB, CVC‐Colon DB, CVC‐T, and ETIS‐Larib. Various testing scenarios are examined, including the impact of two focal attention spots and four focal attention spots. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method achieved superior performance compared to previous state‐of‐the‐art techniques on two of the benchmark datasets, and ranked second on a third dataset. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the most recent papers and research trends in the fields of wind energy and artificial intelligence. Our study aims to guide future research by identifying the potential application and research areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in the wind energy sector and the knowledge gaps in this field. Artificial intelligence techniques offer significant benefits and advantages in many sub‐areas, such as increasing the efficiency of wind energy facilities, estimating energy production, optimizing operation and maintenance, providing security and control, data analysis, and management. Our research focuses on studies indexed in the Web of Science library on wind energy between 2000 and 2023 using sub‐branches of artificial intelligence techniques such as artificial neural networks, other machine learning methods, data mining, fuzzy logic, meta‐heuristics, and statistical methods. In this way, current methods and techniques in the literature are examined to produce more efficient, sustainable, and reliable wind energy, and the findings are discussed for future studies. This comprehensive evaluation is designed to be helpful to academics and specialists interested in acquiring a current and broad perspective on the types of uses of artificial intelligence in wind energy and seeking what research subjects are needed in this field. This paper presents a new version of Multi Agent Collaborative Search (MACS) with Adaptive Weights (named MACS‐AW). MACS is a multi‐agent memetic scheme for multi‐objective optimization originally developed to mix local and population‐based search. MACS was proven to perform well on a number of test cases but had three limitations: (i) the amount of computational resources allocated to each agent was not proportional to the difficulty of the sub‐problem the agent had to solve; (ii) the population‐based search (called social actions in the following) was using only one differential evolution (DE) operator with fixed parameters; (iii) the descent directions were not adapted during convergence, leading to a loss of diversity. In this paper, we propose an improved version of MACS, that implements: (i) a new utility function to better manage computational resources; (ii) new social actions with multiple adaptive DE operators; (iii) an automatic adaptation of the descent directions with an innovative trigger to initiate adaptation. First, MACS‐AW is compared against some state‐of‐art algorithms and its predecessor MACS2.1 on some standard benchmarks. Then, MACS‐AW is applied to the solution of two real‐life optimization problems and compared against MACS2.1. It will be shown that MACS‐AW produces competitive results on most test cases analysed in this paper. On the standard benchmark test set, MACS‐AW outperforms all other algorithms in 11 out of 30 cases and comes second in other 8 cases. There has been surge in the usage of Internet as well as social media platforms which has led to rise in online hate speech targeted on individual or group. In the recent years, hate speech has resulted in one of the challenging problems that can unfurl at a fast pace on digital platforms leading to various issues such as prejudice, violence and even genocide. Considering the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques in varied application domains, it would be intriguing to consider these techniques for automated hate speech detection. In literature, there have been efforts to recognize and categorize hate speech using varied Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) techniques. Hence, considering the need and provocations for hate speech detection we aim to present a comprehensive review that discusses fundamental taxonomy as well as recent advances in the field of online hate speech identification. There is a significant amount of literature related to the initial phases of hate speech detection. The background section provides a detailed explanation of the previous research. The subsequent section that follows is dedicated to examining the recent literature published from the year 2020 onwards. The paper presents some of the hate speech datasets considered for hate speech detection. Furthermore, the paper discusses different data modalities, namely, textual hate speech detection, multi‐modal hate speech detection and multilingual hate speech detection. Apart from systematic review on hate speech detection, the paper also implement several multi‐label models to compare the performance of hate speech detection by employing classic ML technique namely, Logistic Regression and DL technique namely, Long Short‐Term Memory (LSTM) and a multiclass multi‐label architecture. In the implemented architecture, we have derived two new elements to quantify the hatefulness and intensity of hatred to improve the results for hate speech detection using Indonesian tweet dataset. The detection of toxic language in the Arabic language has emerged as an active area of research in recent years, and reviewing the existing datasets employed for training the developed solutions has become a pressing need. This paper offers a comprehensive survey of Arabic datasets focused on online toxic language. We systematically gathered a total of 54 available datasets and their corresponding papers and conducted a thorough analysis, considering 18 criteria across four primary dimensions: availability details, content, annotation process, and reusability. This analysis enabled us to identify existing gaps and make recommendations for future research works. Owing to increasing competition, the marketing of commercial software products is a challenging task. Diverse marketing strategies are adopted to tap the huge market share. Among these, pricing and warranty are the most significant ones. The warranty policies organizations adopt usually have two dimensions: duration and effort spent during the warranty phase. In this paper, two variables are broadly taken: testing, which is an essential phase during software development, and warranty, which is a crucial component of after‐sales service. Here, we will formulate an optimization problem where returns and expenses will be influenced by price, testing resources spent, the duration for which testing is done, warranty duration and effort spent during warranty for the software product. The product sales are assumed to follow a Stochastic Bass model based on Non‐Homogeneous Poisson Process (NHPP). A free on‐site support warranty with an upper limit on duration and effort covers the 2D failure process. The numerical illustration is presented wherein profit is maximized by conjointly optimizing five variables, that is price, testing duration, testing effort, warranty duration and warranty effort. This study emphasizes on application of a popular soft computing, metaheuristic technique named genetic algorithm (GA) to solve an optimization problem for a software system. The solution to the Optimization problem is obtained using the GA tool in MATLAB. The results obtained have relevance in the industry for finding optimal values of significant variables before the release of newly developed software products to the ultimate client. In the process of cultivating new types of professional farmers in rural areas, it is necessary to break through the previous informatization constraints of poor information flow, and give full play to the role of advanced information technology to promote the sustainable economic development. This paper proposes a new type of professional farmer cultivation platform based on edge computing architecture to improve the cultivation efficiency of new type of professional farmers, so as to better promote the development of rural informatization. Aiming at the challenges of energy consumption under the edge platform architecture, this paper proposes a dynamic scheduling method for semi‐online tasks for edge computing platforms. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithm, the method in this paper is compared with the classic scheduling algorithm, and simulated and verified on the CloudSim platform. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms other algorithms in the task completion time metric. Interpreting high‐resolution satellite imagery could be an expensive and time‐consuming task for human eyes. Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques can help to solve this major problem by applying detection algorithms, which can ease the task of analysing such images for the benefit of humans. It can help in changing the way we comprehend and anticipate the economic activity around the world. Such techniques help us to observe the urban development in high security areas such as national and international borders. Constant progressions in improving and making satellites deployment, a cost‐effective process to strengthen the networks of satellite orbiting the earth is one of the reasons such tasks can be easily solved with the help of high‐resolution images. Current computer vision research works have achieved significant milestones in accuracy and speed but, there are still room for improvements. In this paper, we addressed some of these methods to bring them to a combined pipeline and proposed a set of improvements to further improve the speed and the accuracy of the detections. We proposed a unified framework, which combines several object detection algorithms and the state‐of‐art architecture of YoloV4 along with the TensorFlow object detection API. This framework can detect small and well as large objects with improved speed and accuracy by using two detectors for different scales. The world is affected by COVID‐19, an infectious disease caused by the SARS‐CoV‐2 virus. Tests are necessary for everyone as the number of COVID‐19 affected individual's increases. So, the authors developed a basic sequential CNN model based on deep and federated learning that focuses on user data security while simultaneously enhancing test accuracy. The proposed model helps users detect COVID‐19 in a few seconds by uploading a single chest X‐ray image. A deep learning‐aided architecture that can handle client and server sides efficiently has been proposed in this work. The front‐end part has been developed using StreamLit, and the back‐end uses a Flower framework. The proposed model has achieved a global accuracy of 99.59% after being trained for three federated communication rounds. The detailed analysis of this paper provides the robustness of this work. In addition, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) will improve the ease of access to the aforementioned health services. IoMT tools and services are rapidly changing healthcare operations for the better. According to the World Health Organization, between 2000 and 2050, the proportion of the world's population over 60 will double, from 11% to 22%. In absolute numbers, this age group will increase from 605 million to 2 billion in the course of half a century. It is a reality that most of them prefer to live alone, so it is necessary to look for mechanisms and tools that will help them to improve their autonomy. Although in recent years, we have been living in a veritable explosion of domotic systems that facilitate people's daily lives, it is also true that there are not many tools specifically aimed at this sector of the population. The aim of this paper is to present a potential solution to the monitoring of activity of daily living in the least intrusive way for people. In this case, anomalous patterns of daily activities will be detected by analysing the daily consumption of household appliances. People who live alone usually have a pattern of daily behaviour in the use of household appliances (coffee machine, microwave, television, etc.). A neuronal model is proposed for the detection of abnormal behaviour based on an autoencoder architecture. This solution will be compared with a variational autoencoder to analyse the improvements that can be obtained. The well‐known dataset called UK‐DALE will be used to validate the proposal. Recent studies report that few journals are adopting unethical citation practices to inflate Impact Factor (IF) artificially. "Clarivate Analytics" has started to blacklist such journals since 2006. As reported in the literature, evaluation of journals individually, to detect anomalies from vast and dynamically changing citation network is not efficient. The primary purpose of this work is to define a diverse feature set that can identify such cases of extreme outliers and reason them. The sample size is narrowed down using an unsupervised clustering algorithm in the absence of a labeled training dataset. Next, time‐series IF data is analyzed to detect point outliers. Furthermore, microscopic features are identified to reason them. Results reflected from the F‐value after ANOVA analysis reveals that geometrical patterns (self‐loop, pairwise and group mutual‐citation) among journals, an abrupt increase in the paper count of donor and corresponding IF inflation of recipient are some of the essential features. Microscopic features include social factor (calculation of revised IF after removing directed self or mutual‐citation), impact of the field of study, impact of publication house and author factor that includes author self and mutual‐citation. The significance of this work is to ensure that the quality of a journal is withheld without compromising research integrity by controlling or auditing individual features periodically. Calibration is the backbone of any sensor and measurement philosophy. The conventional calibration techniques for electrical parameter measurement using nonlinear sensors are affected by the repeating analogue signals and lead to errors in measurement. This research paper investigates different regression‐based mathematical models to calibrate the Hall sensor for measuring RMS and the fundamental frequency. The novelty of this research work lies in the feature‐based input modelling to measure RMS current and frequency with an error of 3.37e‐12% and 7.61e‐9%, respectively. The conventional Fourier transform method is compared with six different bio‐inspired metaheuristic algorithms to estimate the frequency components of the analogue signal received from the measurement setup. Apart from the conventional sine waveforms, this paper investigates sawtooth and square waveforms as the periodic signals for determining the frequency components. The results from the comparison study show that the Whale Optimization Algorithm exhibits 1.25% lesser error whilst predicting the features in measured frequency components. Apart from this, the paper identifies a unique combination of features that effectively measures the instantaneous electrical parameter with RMSE, NRMSE, and R2 value of 158.8, 0.51, and 0.44, respectively. Experimentally it is found that the decision tree and random forest regression models calibrate the Hall sensor with 93% less error than their linear and polynomial counterparts. Triple‐negative breast cancer is the worst prognosis in breast cancer, accounting for 10.0–20.8% of all breast cancers. Considering that triple‐negative breast cancer has great heterogeneity and very poor prognosis, clinical medication guidance is in urgent need of a more detailed classification of breast cancer itself. Although many researchers have been dedicated to the clustering of triple‐negative breast cancer and have found possible targets based on typing, their results are not closely related to the prognosis. This paper utilizes three clustering methods to retype the patient data with triple‐negative breast cancer, and the results show that the triple‐negative breast cancer data could be classified into two categories. Eight important genes and three important clinical factors related to the prognosis of two types of triple‐negative breast cancer have been obtained. These genes have the following three characteristics: co‐expression, differential expression and interaction. In terms of breast cancer control, the prognosis can be controlled as much as possible by regulating gene levels, which provides new directions and ideas for related research on breast cancer prognosis. This paper proposes an image tampering detection algorithm based on sample guidance and individual camera device's convolutional neural network (CNN) features (SGICD‐CF) to address the challenges in the authenticity and integrity of images. Due to the development of the digital image processing technology, which makes image editing and processing, image tampering and forgery easy and lot simplified, thus solving the problem of image tamper detection, to maintain information security. The principle of SGICD‐CF assumes that pixels of the pristine image come from a single camera device, but on the contrary, if an image to be tested is spliced by multiple images from different cameras, then the pixels from the multiple camera devices will be detected. SGICD‐CF divides the image to be tested into 64 × 64 pixel image patches, extracts the camera‐related features and some camera model‐related information of image patches by source camera identification network (SCI‐Net) which is proposed by us, and obtains the classification confidence degree of the image patch. Furthermore, it determines whether the image patch contains foreign pixels according to the obtained confidence degree and finally determines whether the image was tampered according to the classification results of all the image patches, thus locating the tampered area. However, the experimental results show that SGICD‐CF can detect and locate the tampered area of an image accurately and our methods have a better performance than other existing methods. Machine learning has been facing significant challenges over the last years, much of which stem from the new characteristics of machine learning problems, such as learning from streaming data or incorporating human feedback into existing datasets and models. In these dynamic scenarios, data change over time and models must adapt. However, new data do not necessarily mean new patterns. The main goal of this paper is to devise a method to predict a model's performance metrics before it is trained, in order to decide whether it is worth it to train it or not. That is, will the model hold significantly better results than the current one? To address this issue, we propose the use of meta‐learning. Specifically, we evaluate two different meta‐models, one built for a specific machine learning problem, and another built based on many different problems, meant to be a generic meta‐model, applicable to virtually any problem. In this paper, we focus only on the prediction of the root mean square error (RMSE). Results show that it is possible to accurately predict the RMSE of future models, event in streaming scenarios. Moreover, results also show that it is possible to reduce the need for re‐training models between 60% and 98%, depending on the problem and on the threshold used. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To improve the effect of web page information extraction, this paper proposes an improved information extraction method of mixed text density grids. Under various power constraints of the relay node itself, this paper proposes a design scheme of joint beamforming and artificial noise based on safety and rate maximisation. Furthermore, with the help of semidefinite relaxation techniques and first‐order approximations, it can be approximated as a semidefinite programming problem that is easy to solve. In addition, this paper uses an iterative algorithm based on a continuous convex approximation to process data to improve the accuracy of web page data extraction. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought new reconstruction opportunities for the intelligence of the advertisement industry through the help of AI technologies such as machine learning and deep learning. First, the relationship between AI and the attractiveness of green advertisements is investigated, and the influence of different AI technologies in green advertisements on consumers' perception of the attractiveness of green advertisements is summarized. Second, based on the green advertisement dissemination rate data set, the data visualization exploration is carried out, and the data deletion and coding processing are carried out aiming at different characteristic variables. Finally, according to the problems existing in the current green advertisement communication and the high‐dimensional and sparse characteristics of the communication rate data set. In this paper, based on Deep FM (Factorization Machine), Gradient Boost Decision Tree (GBDT) is added to assist the experiment, and the prediction performance of green advertising communication is tested. Due to the continuous development of technology and production of carbon emissions, various problems have occurred, forcing various regions to start promoting low‐carbon work. What kind of method can effectively and quickly improve the performance of carbon emissions has become one of the current research topics that has attracted much attention. In response to this problem, it is of great significance to study in the field of carbon emission performance improvement methods. With the in‐depth research on carbon emissions, the research on the intervention of water conservancy policies in carbon emissions has gradually been carried out, and its functional effects are of great significance to solve the problem of improving carbon emissions performance. This paper has aimed to study the impact and mechanism of water conservancy policy on carbon emission performance in the context of artificial intelligence. Through the analysis and research of the water conservancy policy under artificial intelligence, the double difference model (DID) is used to evaluate it, so that it can show the impact and mechanism on carbon emission performance, so as to solve the problem of improving carbon emission performance. This paper has analysed water policy, carbon emission performance and DID model under artificial intelligence. Its influence and mechanism have been experimentally analysed, and related theoretical formulas have been used to explain. The results have shown that the water conservancy policy has a significant and continuous driving effect on the reduction of carbon emission intensity, and its interaction coefficient under the control variable is −0.934, which is significantly negative. Further analysis of variables has shown that the energy intensity coefficient is 0.714, and the secondary industry coefficient is 0.924, which are both positive and significant. Water conservancy policies mainly reduce carbon intensity through the improvement of energy efficiency and industrial structure upgrading. In order to improve the reliability of Tibetan Thangka sales channels, this paper combines blockchain technology to construct an intelligent model that can be used for Tibetan Thangka sales. This paper uses cryptographic encryption technology to encrypt the uploaded data to prevent Thangka producers or logistics turnover parties from tampering with Thangka‐related information, and uses the timestamp in blockchain technology to realize the traceability of Thangka‐related information. In addition, this paper uses the timestamp technology in the blockchain system to generate a traceable, query and supervised blockchain, which runs through the whole process of thangka from planting to selling. Finally, a sales model of Tibet Thangka based on blockchain technology is designed, and system performance analysis is carried out through simulation experiments. Network security is one of the primary concerns when deploying IoT applications. A proper authentication scheme can strengthen network security and resilience against malicious attacks. The quantitative comparison among authentication schemes is rarely found. Thus, it is difficult to choose the appropriate authentication scheme objectively. This paper presents a quantitative comparison of three authentication schemes, including blockchain‐based authentication, a widely discussed new approach for IoT security. This paper focuses on network‐level simulation instead of the protocol, providing a different angle when evaluating an authentication scheme. The simulations include five common topologies in IoT networks under five different attack strategies. The results show that the blockchain‐based scheme has the most substantial resilience compared to PKI‐based and PSK methods, while the computational cost is 1% less than the PKI‐based method. This paper designs a new facial Expression recognition network called a multi‐scale feature Fusion Convolutional neural Network (EFCN). This network is proposed to solve two problems in the facial expression recognition task. First, there are many commonalities between faces of different expression categories, and the recognition task cannot be precisely performed when the commonality is greater than the individuality. Secondly, facial detail features have a significant impact on the final results of expression recognition, while the image detail features extracted by traditional convolutional neural networks are not sufficient. In order to address the above issues, the feature enhancement network (FEN) and the detail information enhancement module (DEM) are designed. The FEN fuses deep and shallow features. Accordingly, the feature map contains richer information, making it easy to identify the samples. The DEM extracts and fuses the features passed by the backbone network with multi‐scale features to enhance the network's ability to extract features from small regions of the face. We validated the proposed method on three datasets, RAF‐DB, CK+, and JAFFE, and achieved 84.50%, 97.86%, and 91.05% accuracy, respectively, and the experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method in this paper. Single image super‐resolution (SISR) has gained significant attention in image processing and computer vision, driven by deep learning‐based models like convolutional neural networks (CNN). Yet, the resource‐intensive nature of these models poses challenges when deploying them on edge devices. To address this issue, resource‐constrained models need to be developed. While recent models like the information distillation network (IDN), the information multi‐distillation network (IMDN), the residual feature distillation network (RFDN), and so on, have attempted to reduce parameters and computational complexity, further optimization remains vital. Therefore, this paper presents an approach to enhancing the efficiency and lightweight nature of the SISR. We introduce a novel lightweight SR model by building upon the RFDN architecture, the winner of the AIM2020 and NTIRE2022 SR challenges. The proposed depthwise channel attention network (DWCAN) model makes some key changes to RFDN. First, it replaces the main residual feature distillation block (RFDB) with a depthwise channel attention block (DWCAB). Additionally, DWCAN includes a shallow residual block (SRB) with depthwise separable convolution (DW) and a channel attention (CA) block. The primary goal of our work is to significantly reduce model parameters, computational operations, inference time, and memory size while maintaining or improving a peak signal‐to‐noise ratio (PSNR) of 29 dB. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. By applying our modifications, we achieve a notable reduction in model complexity, leading to an improved PSNR of 29.07 dB, up from RFDN's 29.04 dB on a diverse 2 K resolution (DIV2K) dataset. This underscores the potential of our lightweight model to balance computational efficiency and SR quality. Additionally, the proposed work is essential for the metaverse for two key reasons: (1) Enhancing visual quality by adding complex details to textures and objects, making the digital world feel more like reality. (2) Ensuring device compatibility across a range of gadgets, from smartphones to VR headsets, optimizing the metaverse experience for all users. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is presently one of the most popular techniques for analysing the dynamic states in brain images using various kinds of algorithms. From the last decade, there is an exponential rise in the use of the machine and deep learning algorithms of artificial intelligence for analysing fMRI data. However, it is a big challenge for every researcher to choose a suitable machine or deep learning algorithm for analysing fMRI data due to the availability of a large number of algorithms in the literature. It takes much time for each researcher to know about the various approaches and algorithms which are in use for fMRI data. This paper provides a review in a systematic manner for the present literature of fMRI data that makes use of the machine and deep learning algorithms. The major goals of this review paper are to (a) identify machine learning and deep learning research trends for the implementation of fMRI; (b) identify usage of Machine Learning Algorithms and deep learning in fMRI, and (c) help new researchers based on fMRI to put their new findings appropriately in existing domain of fMRI research. The results of this systematic review identified various fMRI studies and classified them based on fMRI types, mental diseases, use of machine learning and deep learning algorithms. The reconfigurable capability of static random‐access memory (SRAM) field programmable gate array (FPGA) can be used for its fault self‐repair method. As a machine learning method, the genetic algorithm (GA) is an FPGA fault repair method that can be automatically executed on‐orbit without any ground support. However, the GA‐based fault repair method has disadvantages, such as the dependency on processors, the knowledge requirement for user designs in FPGAs, and the small size of repaired circuits. To address these issues, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the FPGA bitstream in the aerospace industry. An accurate on‐orbit fault location can be identified by bitstream copying and exhaustive test and the executed area of the GA can be reduced to one tile. In addition, the probability function of the algorithm is optimized, which converts floating‐point operations into integer arithmetic operations that are easily implemented in FPGAs without processors. The method is outstanding compared with existing ones, considering: (1) The size of repaired circuits is hundreds of times larger than those from other methods. (2) Its implementations are totally up to FPGAs' own logic, with no requirement for processors. (3) There is no knowledge requirement for user design. (4) It reaches the leading level with a success rate of 81%–93%. The method has been verified by various applications in XC7VX330T, which demonstrates its engineering practicability. Economic risks faced by manufacturing enterprises are gradually increasing and risk reduction whilst maintaining high financial performance has become key to their survival and development of enterprises. Enterprise performance affects not only enterprise development but also does the interests of investors and creditors. Therefore, a well‐performing model for financial performance prediction is particularly important. In this paper, we combine unsupervised and supervised learning, fusing self‐organizing mapping neural networks and convolutional neural networks, and apply deep learning to financial analysis to construct a new financial performance prediction model, called SNN‐CNN. This paper uses crawler technology to obtain financial data of listed manufacturing enterprises and classifies their financial performance into five levels. It finds that enterprises with high financial performance tend to have balanced financial indicators, strong corporate vitality and stable development of various capabilities, while enterprises with low financial performance have poor repayment and profitability, significant risks in corporate operation and limited growth and development. In the past years, multimedia content has improved in realism and plausibility owing to the development of deep learning techniques, particularly the generative adversarial networks and variational auto‐encoders. Though digital content, especially digital movies shot from a certain viewpoint gives a true representation of reality, yet the ubiquitous usage of content manipulation techniques casts doubt on its veracity. Deepfaking an AI based tampering technique, is able to map facial and acoustic features of a source person onto the target with an intention to make target say or enact the things that has not happened in real. Numerous approaches have been proposed in the literature for detection of image and video deepfakes. With technological advancement, researchers have also started to examine audio deepfakes and ways to detect them. As there is currently no comprehensive overview of audio deepfake generation and detection techniques, this paper aims to provide a survey of the relevant literature in this area. Gesture recognition nowadays has grabbed the attention of researchers as they represent human behaviour in multiple practical ways. Amongst a variety of gestures available, hand gestures play an essential role in the field of human‐computer interaction when recognised efficiently in complex and dynamic environments. In this paper, we propose a dynamic hand gesture recognition system to recognise hand gestures appearing in different indoor and outdoor environments. Hand detection and tracking uses a two‐level system resulting in the formation of gesture trajectory in challenging conditions in which existing detection and tracking algorithms could not do so. A set of 45 features is provided as input to the various classification techniques. The redundancy problem has been reduced by selecting a set of optimum features using the analysis of variance method, which ranks the list of features. An incremental feature selection technique calculates recognition accuracy by selecting features according to rankings. This system provides an accuracy of 96.32% when used with machine learning and 97.5% when used with deep learning techniques. Recognition accuracy is calculated for various environments, including an extra hand, multiple persons in the video frame, and outdoor environment. All machine‐learning classifiers are combined using classifier combination to calculate the accuracy according to the majority‐voting rule. The lung cancer incidence and mortality in China have always been high. Moreover, due to the limited level of professional technology, misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of lung cancer often occur. To improve the accuracy of diagnosis, this paper proposes an interpretable diagnostic method for lung cancer based on Chinese electronic medical records (EMRs). First, to overcome the difficulty in word segmentation of clinical texts in Chinese EMRs, a dictionary construction method is proposed based on the idea of maximal clique, and 730 medical professional terms related to lung diseases are identified. Then, the ProbSparse self‐attention mechanism and self‐attention distilling operation in Informer are used to improve the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformer (BERT) to realize the representation of long clinical texts with lower time complexity and memory consumption. Finally, the convolutional neural network with an attention mechanism is employed to process the representation results to realize the interpretable prediction of lung cancer. This method is applied to the lung cancer diagnosis of inpatients in a tertiary hospital in Hunan Province, obtaining excellent results of about 0.9 for area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) and area under the precision‐recall curve (AUPRC). In addition, the results of the comparative analysis with existing dictionaries, word embedding methods and diagnostic methods further confirm the superiority of the proposed method. Specifically, the proposed method improves the precision by at least 6%, the recall by at least 2.6%, the F1 score by at least 5.2%, AUROC by at least 7.3% and AUPRC by at least 7.7% compared with all these state‐of‐the‐art methods. H7N9 avian influenza is a novel virus with high morbidity and mortality that threatens human health and life. Therefore, it is necessary to diagnose H7N9 avian influenza in a timely and rapid manner to prevent further transmission of the virus and greatly reduce the infection and mortality rates. This paper proposes an H7N9 avian influenza diagnostic model that is based on a multilayer belief rule‐based (BRB) inference methodology by considering five typical characteristics of influenza: epidemiology, clinical manifestations, complications, characteristics of imaging tests and positive pathogen test results. Specifically, the severity of H7N9 avian influenza is gradually identified by a multilayer BRB model, and then the diagnostic model is optimized by a genetic algorithm (GA) to improve the diagnostic accuracy. Finally, the feasibility of the model is verified by fivefold cross‐validation with a real clinical dataset. The performance of the proposed diagnostic model is compared with those of the BP neural network (BPNN) model and support vector machine (SVM) model, and the results show that the multilayer BRB model can achieve rapid and satisfactory diagnostic results for H7N9 avian influenza. The experiment shows that the accuracy of the BRB model for H7N9 avian influenza hierarchical diagnosis provided in this paper is 0.903, which is higher than 0.818 of the BP neural network (BPNN) modules and 0.844 of the support vector machine (SVM) models. This paper aims to propose a novel multi‐attribute group decision‐making (MAGDM) method based on linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy copula extended power average operator. Existing researches under linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy environment lack of the ability to handle with extreme values and the flexible operational rules. To fill these two gaps, this paper first provides the definition of Archimedean copula and co‐copula operational rules under linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy environment, which can reflect the connection among arguments and provide more choices for experts to express their preferences. Then, we gather the extended power average (EPA) operator to present some new aggregation operators, which can reduce the negative influence of extreme evaluation values. To show the application of the proposed method to MAGDM problems, we apply it to handle a case of takeout O2O platform assessment problem. Segmenting scientific abstracts into discourse categories like background, objective, method, result, and conclusion is useful in many downstream tasks like search, recommendation and summarization. This task of classifying each sentence in the abstract into one of a given set of discourse categories is called sequential sentence classification. Existing machine learning‐based approaches to this problem consider the content of only the abstract to obtain the neural representation of each sentence, which is then labelled with a discourse category. But this ignores the semantic information offered by the discourse labels themselves. In this paper, we propose LIHT, Label Informed Hierarchical Transformers – a method for sequential sentence classification that explicitly and hierarchically exploits the semantic information in the labels to learn label‐aware neural sentence representations. The hierarchical model helps to capture not only the fine‐grained interactions between the discourse labels and the words in the abstract at the sentence level but also the potential dependencies that may exist in the label sequence. Thus, LIHT generates label‐aware contextual sentence representations that are then labelled with a conditional random field. We evaluate LIHT on three publicly available datasets, namely, PUBMED‐RCT, NICTA‐PIBOSO and CSAbstract. The incremental gain in F1‐score in all the three cases over the respective state‐of‐the‐art approaches is around 1%. Though the gains are modest, LIHT establishes a new performance benchmark for this task and is a novel technique of independent interest. We also perform an ablation study to identify the contribution of each component of LIHT in the observed performance, and a case study to visualize the roles of the different components of our model. The segmentation of dermoscopic‐based skin lesion images is considered to be challenging owing to various factors. Some of the most tangible reasons include poor contrast near the affected skin lesion, the fuzzy and unpredictable lesion limits, the presence of variations in noise, and capturing images under different conditions. This paper aims to develop an efficient segmentation model for dermoscopic images of different skin lesions based on deep learning. This paper proposes the 11‐layer convolutional deep neural network with two segmentation models trained from start to finish and do not depend on any previous information about the data. The viability, efficiency, and speculation ability of the models are evaluated on the ISIC2018 database. The proposed model achieves 0.903 accuracy and 0.820 Jaccard index in the segmentation of skin lesions. This paper explores a novel technique for learning the fitness function for search algorithms such as evolutionary strategies and hillclimbing. The aim of the new technique is to learn a fitness function (called a Learned Guidance Function) from a set of sample solutions to the problem. These functions are learned using a supervised learning approach based on deep neural network learning, that is, neural networks with a number of hidden layers. This is applied to a test problem: unscrambling the Rubik's Cube using evolutionary and hillclimbing algorithms. Comparisons are made with a previous LGF approach based on random forests, with a baseline approach based on traditional error‐based fitness, and with other approaches in the literature. In view of higher requirements on data storage and network transmission delay of core business system in smart campus and more prominent wireless network security problems, this paper proposes a privacy protection protocol for smart campus based on chaotic mapping and edge computing. The protocol uses chaos mapping algorithm to protect user identity and negotiate session keys, and introduces edge computing to process authentication information on the edge server, which reduces the pressure of the core network and improves the authentication efficiency. This paper proves the security of the protocol by using BAN logic and Scyther, and verifies that the protocol can resist known attacks by analysing informal security.
