We are very pleased to introduce the proceedings of the International Conference on Latest Trends in Engineering and Technology [ICLTET 2023]. Papers were well presented in the conference in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, IOT, Communication Networks, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Nano Material Research, Business Management and many more to arouse a high level of interest. The presented papers maintained the high promise suggested by the written abstracts and the program was chaired in a professional and efficient way by the session chair who were selected for their expertise in the subject. The number of delegates was also highly gratifying, showing the high level of interest in the subject. This Proceeding provides the permanent record of what was presented. They indicate the state of development at the time of writing of all aspects of this important topic and will be invaluable to all academicians and researchers in the field for that reason. Finally, it is appropriate that we record our thanks to our fellow members of the Technical Organizing Committee for encouraging participation from those areas. We are also indebted to those who served as session chair and reviewers, without their support, the conference could not have been the success that it was. We also acknowledge the authors themselves, without whose expert input there would have been no conference. Their efforts made a great contribution to its success.

The book provides readers with a snapshot of recent research and industrial trends in field of industrial acoustics and vibration. Each chapter, accepted after a rigorous peer-review process, reports on a selected, original piece of work presented and discussed at the Third International Conference on Acoustics and Vibration (ICAV2021), which was organized by the Tunisian Association of Industrial Acoustics and Vibration (ATAVI) and held online on March 15-16, 2021, from Sfax, Tunisia. The contributions cover advances in both theory and practice in a variety of subfields, such as: smart materials and structures; fluid-structure interaction; structural acoustics as well as computational vibro-acoustics and numerical methods. Further topics include: engines control, noise identification, robust design, flow-induced vibration and many others. This book provides a valuable resource for both academics and professionals dealing with diverse issues in applied mechanics. By combining advanced theories with industrial issues, it is expected to facilitate communication and collaboration between different groups of researchers and technology users.

IFToMM conferences have a history of success due to the various advances achieved in the field of rotor dynamics over the past three decades. These meetings have since become a leading global event, bringing together specialists from industry and academia to promote the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and information on the latest developments in the dynamics of rotating machinery. The scope of the conference is broad, including e.g. active components and vibration control, balancing, bearings, condition monitoring, dynamic analysis and stability, wind turbines and generators, electromechanical interactions in rotor dynamics and turbochargers. The proceedings are divided into four volumes. This first volume covers the following main topics: Active Components and Vibration Control; Balancing; Bearings: Fluid Film Bearings, Magnetic Bearings, Rolling Bearings and Seals; and Blades, Bladed Systems and Impellers.

This book presents the proceedings of SympoSIMM 2018, the 1st edition of the Symposium on Intelligent Manufacturing and Mechatronics. With the theme of “Strengthening Innovations Towards Industry 4.0”, the book comprises the studies towards the particularity of Industry 4.0's current trends. This book extends our understanding of the mechanics and biophysics of hearing by bringing together the latest research on the topic by experts in cell and molecular biology, physiology, physics, engineering and mathematics. It contains the proceedings of the 10th International Workshop on the Mechanics of Hearing that was held at Keele University in the United Kingdom at the end of July, 2008. Topics for discussion included theoretical and experimental research at the molecular, cellular and systems levels. Separate sections of the book deal with: the transmission of sound energy to and from the inner ear, and wave propagation within the inner ear; the enhancement of stimulus wave motion that occurs in the inner ear; new measurement techniques that will underpin future innovative studies; the micro-mechanics of the basilar and tectorial membranes and the organ of Corti; cochlear dynamics; sensory hair cells and electromechanical transduction; and sensory hair-bundles and mechano-electrical transduction.
