Innerstädtische Schienenverkehrssysteme stoßen bei steigender Verkehrsnachfrage zunehmend an ihre Grenzen. Die Sicherheit und die Leistungsfähigkeit dieser Verkehrssysteme werden wesentlich durch die eingesetzte Leit- und Sicherungstechnik bestimmt. Eine Ausweitung des Verkehrsangebots erfordert leistungsfähige signaltechnische Systeme, die als Communications-Based Train Control Systeme (CBTC) bezeichnet werden. In diesem Buch stellt der Autor die Systemumgebung dar, in die sich die CBTC-Systeme in Nahverkehrsunternehmen integrieren. Es wird gezeigt, welchen Beitrag die einzelnen Sicherungsfunktionen von CBTC-Lösungen zur Gefährdungsbeherrschung leisten und wie technische Systeme mit zunehmender Automatisierung sukzessive mehr Funktionen vom Menschen übernehmen. The conference aimed to give an opportunity for students, government organizations, private sectors, and universities to exchange experiences in advances in materials and manufacturing, simulation, automation, optimization of production processes, production management, maintenance, simulation, Industry 4.0, AI, and robotics. This book presents a collection of 58 peer-reviewed papers. The organizers received 61 contributions from 12 countries around the world. After a thorough peer-review process, the committee accepted 33 papers for conference proceedings prepared by 142 authors from 11 countries (acceptance rate of around 54%).

This book introduces methods for bin picking in manufacturing. These methods can be used to develop unified, dexterous, and robust bin picking systems for entangled objects. The target objects include both rigid and deformable objects. Robotic bin picking is a valuable task in manufacturing, aiming to automate the assembly process by utilizing robots to pick necessary objects from disorganized bins. Previous studies have addressed various challenges related to bin picking. However, when objects with complex shapes or deformable properties are randomly placed in a bin, they tend to get entangled, making it difficult for the robot to pick up individual items. This poses challenges in perception, as the robot must be capable of distinguishing between isolated objects and potentially tangled ones in a cluttered environment. This book is of interest to students, researchers, and professionals in manufacturing industries.

This book reports the developments of the Total Least Square (TLS) algorithms for parameter estimation and adaptive filtering. Specifically, this book introduces the authors'latest achievements in the past 20 years, including the recursive TLS algorithms, the approximate inverse power iteration TLS algorithm, the neural based MCA algorithm, the neural based SVD algorithm, the neural based TLS algorithm, the TLS algorithms under non-Gaussian noises, performance analysis methods of TLS algorithms, etc. In order to faster the understanding and mastering of the new methods provided by this book for readers, before presenting each new method in each chapter, a specialized section is provided to review the closely related several basis models. Readers will find out the present deficiency and recent developments of the TLS parameter estimation fields, and learn from the the authors'latest achievements or new methods around the practical industrial needs.
