This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Workshop on Biomedical Image Registration, WBIR 2024, held in conjunction with the 27th International conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, MICCAI 2024, in Marrakesh, Morocco in October 2024. The 28 full papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 32 submissions. More than 2,500 abstracts of papers published in a period of 44 years (1956-1998) of nematological research makes the Cumulative Abstract Index to Nematologica an indispensable tool for research workers, agricultural industrialists and university teachers. The abstract index will greatly facilitate access to quality papers on the subject of nematodes (taxonomy, physiology, morphology and genetics), crop protection research, molecular biology in nematological research, nematode parasites, nematophagous fungi, arthropods and soil free-living nematodes and will be a valuable aid to researchers. The Index is even more valuable if used in combination with the General Index published as part of the regular publication program of Nematologica (issue 43 (3-4), May 1997). This general Index volume consists of an Index to Authors and Titles, a Systematic and Subject Index to Nematodes, a Systematic and Subject Index to Hosts/Parasites, and an Index to Methods. The Index can be specifically used to find references to certain nematode species, whereas the abstracts of the actual papers are readily found in the chronologically ordered Cumulative Abstract Index to Nematologica.

This volume is devoted to the memory of the eminent carcinologist Professor Ruiyu Liu (1922-2012) of the Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qingdao, China. Since 1949, Professor Liu had devoted his life to studying taxonomy, systematics, ecology, zoogeography and aquaculture and published a total of more than 210 papers and monographs. He described two new genera, fifty-two new species and one new subspecies, including not only crustaceans but also cnidarians, polychaetes and molluscs. In this volume forty of his friends and colleagues put together sixteen papers to honour Professor Liu, and named after him three new genera and eleven new species. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First MICCAI Workshop on Deep Generative Models, DG4MICCAI 2021, and the First MICCAI Workshop on Data Augmentation, Labelling, and Imperfections, DALI 2021, held in conjunction with MICCAI 2021, in October 2021. The workshops were planned to take place in Strasbourg, France, but were held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.DG4MICCAI 2021 accepted 12 papers from the 17 submissions received. The workshop focusses on recent algorithmic developments, new results, and promising future directions in Deep Generative Models. The ABCs challenge aims to identify the best methods of segmenting brain structures that serve as barriers to the spread of brain cancers and structures to be spared from irradiation, for use in computer assisted target definition for glioma and radiotherapy plan optimization. The papers of the L2R challenge cover a wide spectrum of conventional and learning-based registration methods and often describe novel contributions. This book constitutes the First 3D Head and Neck Tumor Segmentation in PET/CT Challenge, HECKTOR 2020, which was held in conjunction with the 23rd International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention, MICCAI 2020, in Lima, Peru, in October 2020. The challenge took place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The 2 full and 8 short papers presented together with an overview paper in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected form numerous submissions. This challenge aims to evaluate and compare the current state-of-the-art methods for automatic head and neck tumor segmentation. In the context of this challenge, a dataset of 204 delineated PET/CT images was made available for training as well as 53 PET/CT images for testing. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Uncertainty for Safe Utilization of Machine Learning in Medical Imaging, UNSURE 2021, and the 6th International Workshop on Preterm, Perinatal and Paediatric Image Analysis, PIPPI 2021, held in conjunction with MICCAI 2021. The conference was planned to take place in Strasbourg, France, but was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.For UNSURE 2021, 13 papers from 18 submissions were accepted for publication.
