Komplexe später Übergangsmetalle mit Pinzettenliganden erfreuen sich eines großen Interesses wegen vielfältiger photophysikalischer Eigenschaften, die solche Komplexe interessant für eine Anwendung in OLEDs, in der Sensortechnik oder der Photokatalyse machen. Ein häufig bei Platin- und Goldkomplexen verwendeter Pinzettenligand basiert auf 2,6-Diphenylpyridin. Das dazu nicht-palindrome, Biphenyl-basierte Pendant, bei dem die Position des zentralen Pyridin- mit einem lateralen Phenyldonor vertauscht ist, ist hingegen bisher wenig untersucht ebenso wie andere Donormotive als Pyridin. [0.3cm] In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Entwicklung von synthetischen Zugängen zu Dihalobiphenylen beschrieben, die über verschiedene Donormotive - Pyridin, Phosphin und NHC - verfügen. Diese Biphenyle sind als Präliganden geeignet, um einerseits über Transmetallierung der von ihnen abgeleiteten Stannole nicht-palindrome Au(III)-Pinzettenkomplexe und andererseits über eine doppelte oxidative Addition nicht-palindrome Pinzettenkomplexe mit Metallen der Gruppe 10 zu bilden. Diese Komplexe wurden hinsichtlich ihrer photophysikalischen Eigenschaften untersucht und der Einfluss der verschiedenen Donormotive beleuchtet. Damit stellt diese Arbeit einen wichtigen Beitrag zu Entwicklung und Verständnis lumineszenter Übergangsmetallkomplexe dar und erweitert das Spektrum an Pinzettenliganden um eine bisher weitgehend unerforschte Klasse.

Ein großer Vorteil der Verwendung von Fluorophoren ist, dass häufig Form und Funktion des Gewebes und der Biomoleküle erhalten bleiben. Organische Fluorophore werden meist verwendet, um kovalent an Biomoleküle gebunden zu werden oder als Marker ganze Organellen hervorzuheben. Viele Fluorophore werden jedoch im Ultraviolett-Bereich des Lichts angeregt, was allerdings zahlreiche Nachteile (Toxizität, Streuung, Photobleichung) hat. Aus diesem Grund werden in dieser Arbeit Nah-Infrarot-Fluorophore auf Cyaninbasis synthetisiert und deren Vorteile diskutiert. Mit diesen neuartigen Fluorophoren konnten zum Beispiel Mitochondrien in Zellen spezifisch im Nah-Infrarot-Bereich des Lichts angefärbt werden. Während eines Forschungsaufenthaltes an der University of California in San Diego (UCSD) wurde über das Enzym lösliche Guanylatcyclase ein enzymatischer Zugang zu den emittierenden bfseries{cGMP-Analoga bfseries{c textsuperscript{tzGMP und bfseries{c textsuperscript{thGMP geschaffen. Somit wurden erstmalig enzymvermittelt fluoreszierende Varianten des second messengers bfseries{cGMP geschaffen. Diese können mit bfseries{cGMP-bindenden Antikörpern eine kovalente Bindung eingehen und sind dadurch isofunktional.

This approach allows for the evaluation of the influence of electrochemical degradation parameters, such as electrode material or type of electrolyte, in the modulation of toxicity under different scenarios. Following this, the authors present a collection of existing knowledge on electro-fenton and anodic oxidation electrochemical processes. The choice of electrode materials plays an important role in both processes for better efficiency. A standardized procedure is proposed for analyzing humic samples of various genesis consisting of four successive methods of analysis. The results obtained in this case present a set of semi-quantitative and quantitative parameters in the macromolecule of carboxyl, aromatic, polysaccharide and aliphatic fragments. A highly effective adsorbent for p-chlorophenol has been synthesized using magnetite nanoparticles coated with humic acids. The adsorbent is synthesized via co-precipitation of a mixed Fe3+ and Fe2+ solution using NH4OH 25% at pH 11 followed by the rapid addition of humic acids solution in NaOH 1 M. This collection also reviews the spectral and luminescent properties of humic acids, as well as identifies the impact of humic acids on the effectiveness of organic compounds photodegradation. In the concluding study, the water quench test is applied as an experimental method for thermal shock resistance testing, and the authors provide a morphological analysis of the samples before and during the testing.

Different applications and uses of light energy have emerged over the last few years in many different fields such as in medicine, material science, energy and biochemistry. New and exciting applications of light-controlled processes have become practical in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, the preparation and use of functional materials, the storage of solar energy and the control of biological properties. Many of these applications are based on a very simple chemical step: a photoisomerization. The isomerization of a chemical double bond allows for the control with extreme spatial and temporal resolution of complex systems. Nature offers different examples of very complex functions that are initiated by this type of simple chemical. Upon photon absorption, the light energy can be used to induce a chemical (geometrical) change that influences the protein environment that triggers a specific signal or function. Inspired by these amazing and extremely efficient processes, many efforts have been devoted to the modification of natural systems and to the design of new applications, using simple and tunable photoisomerizations. Accordingly, the preparation of photoactive molecular devices based on photoisomerizations and the use of these species in different applications is now a very active scientific field, with profound implications in our everyday lives. Das Leben auf der Erde wäre ohne Peptide und Proteine nicht vorstellbar. Proteine sind die am häufigsten vorkommenden Makromoleküle in biologischen Systemen und in allen Zellen zu finden, wo sie unterschiedlichste Aufgaben übernehmen. Der Aufklärung ihrer Struktur und Funktion mithilfe moderner wissenschaftlicher Methoden kommt daher eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Im Rahmen dieser Doktorarbeit wurden verschiedene Methoden zur selektiven Funktionalisierung von Peptiden entwickelt, der Fokus lag dabei auf der Entwicklung einer Fluoreszenz-erzeugenden Peptidligation, was durch die Anwendung einer Cu(I)-katalysierten Cycloadditionsreaktion erreicht werden konnte.

Die Untersuchung biologischer Systeme stellt einen zentralen Bestandteil vieler wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen, wie der Biologie, Chemie, Pharmazie und den jeweiligen Grenzgebieten dar. Durch die Markierung einzelner Biomoleküle wie Nukleinsäuren oder Proteinen mit Farbstoffen wird die Verwendung optischer Methoden, wie z.B.: der Fluoreszenzmikroskopie möglich. Diese Untersuchungen liefern wichtige Informationen über die Verteilung und den Transport der entsprechenden Biomoleküle. Zur Modifizierung von z.B.: Nukleinsäuren stehen verschiedene postsynthetische Reaktionen zur Verfügung, wobei in dieser Arbeit, insbesondere auf die Diels-Alder-Reaktion mit inversem Elektronenbedarf (iEDDA) Wert gelegt wird. Besonders die Verwendung von 1-Methylcyclopropenen als reaktive Sonde stellt eine hervorragende Methode zur schnellen und zugleich bioorthogonalen Markierung dar. Diese werden im Rahmen der hier vorliegenden Arbeit enzymatisch in Oligonukleotide eingebaut und deren Reaktivität mit tetrazinmodifizierten Fluoreszenzfarbstoffen demonstriert. Anschließend werden diese cyclopropenmodifizierten DNA-Stränge zur Untersuchung von Brustkrebszellen (HeLa) genutzt. Diese Arbeit stellt einige der ersten Anwendungen der 1-Methylcyclopropene an Oligonukleotiden dar und leistet somit einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Ergänzung des'Werzeugkastens'{ der Chemischen Biologie.
