Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit sollten chemische Eigenschaften und Festkörperstrukturen von stabilen Nitreniumsalzen sowie deren carbenanaloges Reaktionsverhalten untersucht werden. Unter diesem Gesichtspunkt waren Studien zu den Liganden­eigenschaften des 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumions von besonderem Interesse. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit war die Entwicklung einer neuartigen Klasse von ionischen Flüssigkeiten basierend auf stabilen Nitreniumsalzen sowie die Darstellung von theoretisch und/oder anwendungs-bezogen interessanten neuen 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumsalzen als Vorstufe für elektrisch leitfähige und magnetische Materialien. Der letzte Punkt der Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Darstellung und Untersuchungen der thermischen Zersetzung der potenziell energetischen Materialien basierend auf 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumsalzen. 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumiodid 15 reagiert mit den Basen KH, KCp oder t-BuOK in THF bei Raumtemperatur unter Abstraktion einer Methylgruppe und Bildung des Demethylierungsprodukts 14. Diese Demethylierung kann auch mit NaOCH3 und NaSC2H5 in DMF unter Rückfluss erzielt werden. 15 unterliegt einer Umlagerungsreaktion beim Erhitzen in THF mit Kaliumdiphenylphosphid unter Bildung des Iminophosphoranderivats 25. Es konnten vier Nitreniumion-Übergangsmetall­komplexe dargestellt werden {L[MoCp(CO)3]} 34, {L[WCp(CO)3]} 35, {L2[AgBr3]} 45 und {L2[AgI3]} 46 (L = [C8H10N3]+). Diese bestehen jedoch aus Anionen/Kationenpaaren und es gelang nicht, Komplexe zu synthetisieren, in denen das Nitreniumion als Ligand fungiert. Gegenüber anderen Liganden mit ähnlicher Elektronenstruktur wie den Arduengo-Carbenen und stabilisierten Phospheniumionen ist der Lewisbasencharakter stabilisierter Nitreniumionen wesentlich schwächer ausgeprägt. Dies ist auf die höhere Elektronegativität von Stickstoff gegenüber Phosphor und Kohlenstoff sowie auf die positive Ladung zurückzuführen. Die Untersuchungen zur Präparation neuer ionischer Flüssigkeiten basierend auf 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumsalzen ergaben für das Acetat 58 (Schmp. 65 - 66 °C) und das Trifluoroacetat 59 (Schmp. 73 - 75 °C) niedrige Schmelzpunkte (unter 100 oC). Alle anderen dargestellten Verbindungen dieser Klasse zeigen Schmelzpunkte über 100 °C und liegen damit zu hoch für die meisten Anwendungen als Lösemittel, jedoch können diese Salze von Interesse für Anwendungen als Festelektrolyte sein. Im Kontext der Herstellung der 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazoliumsalze als Vorstufe für elektrisch magnetische und leitfähige Materialien waren Darstellung und röntgenographische Untersuchung von 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazolium-dithiocyanatoargentat 68, -penta-cyanopropenids 69, -dichloroiodids 70 und Tris(1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazolium)-hexacyanoferrats(III) 72 von besonderem Interesse. Die Tendenz der thermischen Stabilität für Ammonium-, Guadinium- und 1,3-Dimethyl-1,2,3-benzotriazolium-nitrosodicyanometahnid 73 nimmt wie folgt ab: Guanidinium > Benzotriazolium > Ammonium. Während die Verbrennungswärme in der Reihenfolge: Ammonium > Guadinium > Benzotriazolium abnimmt.
