This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Cryptographers'Track at the RSA Conference 2011, CT-RSA 2011, held in San Francisco, CA, USA, in February 2011. The 24 revised full papers presented together with 1 invited lecture were carefully reviewed and selected from 79 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on secure two-party computation, cryptographic primitives, side channel attacks, authenticated key agreement, proofs of security, block ciphers, security notions, public-key encryption, crypto tools and parameters, and digital signatures.

These are the proceedings of Eurocrypt 2010, the 29th in the series of Eu- pean conferences on the Theory and Application of Cryptographic Techniques. The conference was sponsored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research and held on the French Riviera, May 30–June 3, 2010. A total of 191 papers were received of which 188 were retained as valid submissions. These were each assigned to at least three Program Committee members and a total of 606 review reports were produced. The printed record of the reviews and extensive online discussions that followed would be almost as voluminous as these proceedings. In the end 35 submissions were accepted with twosubmissionpairsbeingmergedtogive33paperspresentedattheconference. The?nal papers in these proceedings were not subject to a second review before publication and the authors are responsible for their contents. The ProgramCommittee, listed on the next page, deservesparticular thanks for all their hard work, their outstanding expertise, and their constant c- mitment to all aspects of the evaluation process. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Workshop on the Arithmetic of Finite Fields, WAIFI 2008, held in Siena, Italy, in July 2008. The 16 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 34 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on structures in finite fields, efficient finite field arithmetic, efficient implementation and architectures, classification and construction of mappings over finite fields, and codes and cryptography.

The RSA Conference is the largest regularly-staged computer security event, with over 350 vendors and many thousands of attendees. The Cryptographers'Track (CT-RSA) is a research conference within the RSA Conference. CT-RSA began in 2001, and has become one of the major established venues for presenting cryptographic research papers to a wide variety of audiences. CT-RSA 2008 was held in San Francisco, California from April 8 to April 11. The proceedings of CT-RSA 2008 contain 26 papers selected from 95 subm- sions pertaining to all aspects of cryptography. Each submission was reviewed by at least three reviewers, which was made possible by the hard work of 27 P- gram Committee members and many external reviewers listed on the following pages. The papers were selected following a detailed online discussion among the Program Committee members. The program included an invited talk by Sha? Goldwasser. The current proceedings include a short abstract of her talk. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Program Committee m- bers, who volunteered their expertise and hard work over several months, as well as to the external reviewers. The 18 revised full papers presented together were carefully reviewed and selected from 86 submissions. The 29 revised full papers and 2 invited papers cover such topics as symmetric cryptography, provable security, fast implementation of public key cryptography, id-based cryptography, as well as embedded systems and side channel attacks.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium, ANTS 2006, held in Berlin, July 2006. The book presents 37 revised full papers together with 4 invited papers selected for inclusion. The papers are organized in topical sections on algebraic number theory, analytic and elementary number theory, lattices, curves and varieties over fields of characteristic zero, curves over finite fields and applications, and discrete logarithms.

This volume constitutes the strictly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the Fourth International Workshop on Fast Software Encryption, FSE'97, held in Haifa, Israel, in January 1997.The 23 full papers presented were carefully selected from 44 submissions and revised for inclusion in the book. Also contained is a summary of a panel discussion. The papers are organized in sections on cryptanalysis, blockciphers, stream ciphers, message authentication codes, modes of operation, and fast software encryption. Particular emphasis is placed on applicability and implementation issues of fast cryptography.

Asiacrypt'99 was held in Singapore on 14-18 November 1999. Asiacrypt is one of the major events in the cryptology research community. Asiacrypt'99, the?fth annual Asiacrypt conference, was sponsored by the Asiacrypt Steering Comm- tee and the Centre for Systems Security of the National University of Singapore, and in cooperation with the International Association for Cryptology Research. As the Program Co-Chairs of Asiacrypt'99, we are extremely honored to or- nize this event, which showcases the state-of-the-art development of cryptology research at the conclusion of this millennium. This year, a total of 96 research papers were submitted to Asiacrypt'99. The portfolio of country of origin of submissions serves as a good indicator of the - ternational reputation of the conference. Countries from which submissions or- inated include: Australia, Belgium, China, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Sin- pore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, USA and Yugoslavia. Through a stringent refereeing process by the Program C- mittee, 31 papers of outstanding quality were accepted and are included in the conference proceedings. Accepted papers were authored by researchers from the following countries: Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, India, Japan, China, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, UK, and USA.

Crypto 2002, the 22nd Annual Crypto Conference, was sponsored by IACR, the International Association for Cryptologic Research, in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Security and Privacy and the Computer Science Department of the University of California at Santa Barbara. It is published as Vol. 2442 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) of Springer Verlag. Note that 2002, 22 and 2442 are all palindromes... (Don't nod!) Theconferencereceived175submissions,ofwhich40wereaccepted;twos- missionsweremergedintoasinglepaper,yieldingthetotalof39papersaccepted for presentation in the technical program of the conference. In this proceedings volume you will?nd the revised versions of the 39 papers that were presented at the conference. The submissions represent the current state of work in the cryptographic community worldwide, covering all areas of cryptologic research. In fact, many high-quality works (that surely will be published elsewhere) could not be accepted. This is due to the competitive nature of the conference and the challenging task of selecting a program. I wish to thank the authors of all submitted papers. Indeed, it is the authors of all papers who have made this conference possible, regardless of whether or not their papers were accepted. The conference program was also immensely bene?ted by two plenary talks.

Since 1993, cryptographic algorithm research has centered around the Fast So- ware Encryption (FSE) workshop. First held at Cambridge University with 30 attendees, it has grown over the years and has achieved worldwide recognition as a premiere conference. It has been held in Belgium, Israel, France, Italy, and, most recently, New York. FSE 2000 was the 7th international workshop, held in the United States for the rst time. Two hundred attendees gathered at the Hilton New York on Sixth Avenue, to hear 21 papers presented over the course of three days: 10{12 April 2000. These proceedings constitute a collection of the papers presented during those days. FSE concerns itself with research on classical encryption algorithms and - lated primitives, such as hash functions. This branch of cryptography has never been more in the public eye. Since 1997, NIST has been shepherding the Adv- ced Encryption Standard (AES) process, trying to select a replacement algorithm for DES. The rst AES conference, held in California the week before Crypto 98, had over 250 attendees. The second conference, held in Rome two days before FSE 99, had just under 200 attendees. The third AES conference was held in conjunction with FSE 2000, during the two days following it, at the same hotel.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Symposium, Latin American Theoretical Informatics, LATIN 2002, held in Cancun, Mexico, in April 2002.The 44 revised full papers presented together with a tutorial and 7 abstracts of invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 104 submissions. The papers presented are devoted to a broad range of topics from theoretical computer science and mathematical foundations, with a certain focus on algorithmics and computations related to discrete structures.

Annually sponsored by the Korea Institute of Information Security and Crypt- ogy (KIISC), the fourth International Conference on Information Security and Cryptology (ICISC2001) was held at the 63 Building in Seoul, Korea, Dec- ber 6–7, 2001. The 63 Building, consisting of 60 stories above the ground and 3 stories underground, stands soaring up into the sky on the island of Youido, the Manhattan of Korea, and ranks by far the tallest of all buildings in the country. The program committee received 102 submissions from 17 countries and regions (Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, UK, and USA), of which 32 were selected for presentation in 8 sessions. All submissions were anonymously reviewed by at least 3 experts in the relevant areas. There was one invited talk by David Pointcheval (ENS, France) on “Practical Security in Public-Key Cryptography”. We are very grateful to all the program committee members who devoted much e?ort and valuable time to reading and selecting the papers. These p- ceedingscontainthe?nalversionofeachpaperrevisedaftertheconference.Since the revised versions were not checked by the program committee rigorously, the authors must bear full responsibility for the contents of their papers.

ICICS 2003, the Fifth International Conference on Information and C- munication Security, was held in Huhehaote city, Inner Mongolia, China, 10–13 October 2003. Among the preceding conferences, ICICS'97 was held in B- jing, China, ICICS'99 in Sydney, Australia, ICICS 2001 in Xi'an, China, and ICICS 2002,in Singapore.TheproceedingswerereleasedasVolumes1334,1726, 2229, and 2513 of the LNCS series of Springer-Verlag, respectively. ICICS 2003 was sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the China Computer F- eration. The conference was organized by the Engineering Research Center for Information Security Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ERCIST, CAS) in co-operation with the International Communications and Information Security Association (ICISA). The aim of the ICICS conferences has been to o?er the attendees the - portunity to discuss the state-of-the-art technology in theoretical and practical aspects of information and communications security. The response to the Call forPaperswassurprising.WhenwewerepreparingtheconferencebetweenApril and May, China, including the conference venue, Huhehaote City, was?ghting against SARS. Despite this 176 papers were submitted to the conference from 22 countries and regions, and after a competitive selection process, 37 papers from 14 countries and regions were accepted to appear in the proceedings and be presented at ICICS 2003. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who submitted papers to ICICS 2003 for their valued contribution to the conference.

The Crypto'95 conference was sponsored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), in cooperation with the IEEE Computer - ciety Technical Committee on Security and Privacy, and the Computer Science Department of the University of California, Santa Barbara. It took place at the University of California, Santa Barbara, from August 27-31, 1995. This was the fifteenth annual Crypto conference; all have been held at UCSB. For the second time, proceedings were available at the conference. The General Chair, Stafford Tavares, was responsible for local organization and registration. The Program Committee considered 151 papers and selected 36 for pres- tation. There were also two invited talks. Robert Morris, Sr. gave a talk on “Ways of Losing Information,” which included some non-cryptographic means of leaking secrets that are often overlooked by cryptographers. The second talk, “Cryptography - Myths and Realities,” was given by Adi Shamir, this year's IACR Distinguished Lecturer. Shamir is the second person to receive this honor, the first having been Gus Simmons at Crypto'94. These proceedings contain revised versions of the 36 contributed talks. Each paper was sent to at least three members of the program committee for c- ments. Revisions were not checked on their scientific aspects. Some authors will write final versions of their papers for publication in refereed journals. Of course, the authors bear full responsibility for the contents of their papers.

This volume continues the tradition established in 2001 of publishing the c- tributions presented at the Cryptographers'Track (CT-RSA) of the yearly RSA Security Conference in Springer-Verlag's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. With 14 parallel tracks and many thousands of participants, the RSA - curity Conference is the largest e-security and cryptography conference. In this setting, the Cryptographers'Track presents the latest scienti?c developments. The program committee considered 49 papers and selected 20 for presen- tion. One paper was withdrawn by the authors. The program also included two invited talks by Ron Rivest (“Micropayments Revisited” – joint work with Silvio Micali) and by Victor Shoup (“The Bumpy Road from Cryptographic Theory to Practice”). Each paper was reviewed by at least three program committee members; paperswrittenbyprogramcommitteemembersreceivedsixreviews.Theauthors of accepted papers made a substantial e?ort to take into account the comments intheversionsubmittedtotheseproceedings.Inalimitednumberofcases,these revisions were checked by members of the program committee. I would like to thank the 20 members of the program committee who helped to maintain the rigorous scienti?c standards to which the Cryptographers'Track aims to adhere. They wrote thoughtful reviews and contributed to long disc- sions; more than 400 Kbyte of comments were accumulated. Many of them - tended the program committee meeting, while they could have been enjoying the sunny beaches of Santa Barbara.

The origins of the Asiacrypt series of conferences can be traced back to 1990, when the?rst Auscrypt conference was held, although the name Asiacrypt was?rst used for the 1991 conference in Japan. Starting with Asiacrypt 2000, the conference is now one of three annual conferences organized by the Inter- tional Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR). The continuing success of Asiacrypt is in no small part due to the e?orts of the Asiacrypt Steering C- mittee (ASC) and the strong support of the IACR Board of Directors. There were 153 papers submitted to Asiacrypt 2001 and 33 of these were accepted for inclusion in these proceedings. The authors of every paper, whether accepted or not, made a valued contribution to the success of the conference. Sending out rejection noti?cations to so many hard working authors is one of the most unpleasant tasks of the Program Chair. The review process lasted some 10 weeks and consisted of an initial refe- eing phase followed by an extensive discussion period. My heartfelt thanks go to all members of the Program Committee who put in extreme amounts of time to give their expert analysis and opinions on the submissions. All papers were reviewed by at least three committee members; in many cases, particularly for those papers submitted by committee members, additional reviews were obt- ned. Specialist reviews were provided by an army of external reviewers without whom our decisions would have been much more di?cult.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on the Theory and Application of Cryptology and Information Security, ASIACRYPT 2002, held in Singapore, in December 2002.The 34 revised full papers presented together with two invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from 173 submissions on the basis of 875 review reports. The papers are organized in topical sections on public key cryptography, authentication, theory, block ciphers, distributed cryptography, cryptanalysis, public key cryptanalysis, secret sharing, digital signatures, applications, Boolean functions, key management, and ID-based cryptography.

INDOCRYPT 2001, the Second Annual Crypto Conference, is proof of the s- ni?cant amount of enthusiasm generated among Indian as well as International crypto communities. INDOCRYPT 2001 was organized by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, also located in Madras (now Chennai). This event was enthusiastically co-sponsored by eAl- traz ConsultingPrivate Ltd, Chennai, Odyssey Technologies Ltd, Chennai, and Shanmuga Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA), Th- javur. The Program Committee Co-chair, Prof.C.Pandu Rangan was responsible for local organization and registration. The Program Committee considered 77 papers and selected 31 papers for presentation. These papers were selected on the basis of perceived originality, quality, and relevance to the?eld of cryptography. The proceedings include the revised version of the accepted papers. Revisions were not checked as to their contents and authors bear full responsibility for the contents of their submissions. The selection of papers is a very challengingand demandingtask. We wish to thank the Program Committee members who did an excellent job in reviewing the submissions in spite of severe time constraints imposed by the tight p- cessingschedule. Each submission was reviewed by at least three referees (only a few by two). The Program Committee was ably assisted by a large number of reviewers in their area of expertise. This book constitutes the proceedings of the First International Conference on Codes, Cryptology and Information Security, C2SI 2015, held in Rabat, Morocco, in May 2015. The 22 regular papers presented together with 8 invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 59 submissions. The first aim of this conference is to pay homage to Thierry Berger for his valuable contribution in teaching and disseminating knowledge in coding theory and cryptography in Morocco since 2003. This Festschrift volume, published in honor of Jean-Jaques Quisquater on the occasion of his 65th Birthday, contains 33 papers from colleagues all over the world and deals with all the fields to which Jean-Jaques dedicated his work during his academic career. ICICS'99, the Second International Conference on Information and C- munication Security, was held in Sydney, Australia, 9-11 November 1999. The conference was sponsored by the Distributed System and Network Security - search Unit, University of Western Sydney, Nepean, the Australian Computer Society, IEEE Computer Chapter (NSW), and Harvey World Travel. I am g- teful to all these organizations for their support of the conference. The conference brought together researchers, designers, implementors and users of information security systems and technologies. A range of aspects was addressed from security theory and modeling to system and protocol designs and implementations to applications and management. The conference con- sted of a series of refereed technical papers and invited technical presentations. The program committee invited two distinguished key note speakers. The?rst keynote speech by Doug McGowan, a Senior Manager from Hewlett-Packard, USA, discussed cryptography in an international setting. Doug described the current status of international cryptography and explored possible future trends and new technologies. The second keynote speech was delivered by Sushil Ja- dia of George Mason University, USA. Sushil's talk addressed the protection of critical information systems. He discussed issues and methods for survivability of systems under malicious attacks and proposed a fault-tolerance based - proach. The conference also hosted a panel on the currently much debated topic of Internet censorship. The panel addressed the issue of censorship from various viewpoints namely legal, industrial, governmental and technical.

The third successful completion of the INDOCRYPT conference series marks the acceptance of the series by the international research community as a forum for presenting high-quality research.It also marks the coming of age of cryptology research in India. The authors for the submitted papers were spread across 21 countries and 4 continents, which goes a long way to demonstrate the international interest and visibility of INDOCRYPT.In the previous two conferences, the submissions from India originated from only two institutes; this increased to six for the 2002 conference.Thus INDOCRYPT is well set on the path to achieving two main ob jectives – to provide an international platform for presenting high-quality research and to stimulate cryptology research in India. The opportunity to serve as a program co-chair for the third INDOCRYPT carries a special satisfaction for the second editor.Way back in 1998, the sci- ti?c analysis group of DRDO organized a National Seminar on Cryptology and abbreviated it as NSCR.On attending the seminar, the second editor suggested that the conference name be changed to INDOCRYPT.It is nice to see that this suggestion was taken up, giving us the annual INDOCRYPT conference - ries.Of course, the form, character, and execution of the conference series was the combined e?ort of the entire Indian cryptographic community under the dynamic leadership of Bimal Roy.

Crypto 2003, the 23rd Annual Crypto Conference, was sponsored by the Int- national Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Security and Privacy and the Computer Science Department of the University of California at Santa Barbara. The conference received 169 submissions, of which the program committee selected 34 for presentation. These proceedings contain the revised versions of the 34 submissions that were presented at the conference. These revisions have not been checked for correctness, and the authors bear full responsibility for the contents of their papers. Submissions to the conference represent cutti- edge research in the cryptographic community worldwide and cover all areas of cryptography. Many high-quality works could not be accepted. These works will surely be published elsewhere. The conference program included two invited lectures. Moni Naor spoke on cryptographic assumptions and challenges. Hugo Krawczyk spoke on the ‘SI- and-MAc'approachtoauthenticatedDi?e-HellmananditsuseintheIKEpro- cols. The conference program also included the traditional rump session, chaired by Stuart Haber, featuring short, informal talks on late-breaking research news. Assembling the conference program requires the help of many many people. To all those who pitched in, I am forever in your debt. Crypto'96, the Sixteenth Annual Crypto Conference, is sponsored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Security and P- vacy and the Computer Science Department of the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). It takes place at UCSB from August 18 to 22, 1996. The General Chair, Richard Graveman, is responsible for local organization and registration. The scientific program was organized by the 16-member Program C- mittee. We considered 115 papers. (An additional 15 submissions had to be summarily rejected because of lateness or major noncompliance with the c- ditions in the Call for Papers.) Of these, 30 were accepted for presentation. In addition, there will be five invited talks by Ernest Brickell. Andrew Clark, Whitfield Diffie, Ronald Rivest, and Cliff Stoll. A Rump Session will be chaired by Stuart Haber. This book presents a collection of 36 pieces of scientific work in the areas of complexity theory and foundations of cryptography: 20 research contributions, 13 survey articles, and 3 programmatic and reflective viewpoint statements. These so far formally unpublished pieces were written by Oded Goldreich, some in collaboration with other scientists. The articles included in this book essentially reflect the topical scope of the scientific career of Oded Goldreich now spanning three decades. In particular the topics dealt with include average-case complexity, complexity of approximation, derandomization, expander graphs, hashing functions, locally testable codes, machines that take advice, NP-completeness, one-way functions, probabilistically checkable proofs, proofs of knowledge, property testing, pseudorandomness, randomness extractors, sampling, trapdoor permutations, zero-knowledge, and non-iterative zero-knowledge.All in all, this potpourri of studies in complexity and cryptography constitutes a most valuable contribution to the field of theoretical computer science centered around the personal achievements and views of one of its outstanding representatives.
