The study focuses on spatio-temporal relations and their dependence on literary genres in Paul Auster's fiction. The author examines how selected novels reflect and redefine both the representation of space and formulaic patterns of genres they can be categorised as. Semiotic spaces created by Auster share some common features, such as dislocation, diversity or incongruity. Read as the postmodern ones, they are remodellings of novelistic chronotopes defined by, for instance, the tradition of detective fiction or the road novel. As such, Auster's dialogue with tradition in terms of genre-specified features and models of space has led to the emergence of generic variants exhibiting tenets slightly or extensively altered in comparison to their predecessors.

Dotyczy to również – a może zwłaszcza – sfery kobiecej seksualności, gdyż temu zagadnieniu Aleksandra Banot przygląda się ze szczególną uwagą. Nie(do)czytane dowodzą również, że sprawdzona metoda konfrontowania analizowanych utworów ze świadectwami towarzyszącej im recepcji oraz z nowymi (akademickimi) odczytaniami, wsparta własną oryginalną interpretacją, nadal przynosi optymalne efekty poznawcze. Die Bibliografie vermittelt einen Überblick über die Etablierung von Gender in der Translationswissenschaft. Die acht Kapitel, in denen die Entwicklungen eingeordnet und einschlägige Studien annotiert werden, behandeln Themenbereiche wie die sprachliche Verankerung von Genderkonzepten, die Sichtbarkeit von Übersetzerinnen in der Geschichte, inkludierende Bibelübersetzungen, feministische und queere Übersetzungstheorien, politische Dimensionen von gegendertem Übersetzen und die globale Transmigration von Genderkonstruktionen. Vom Anfang der feministischen Translationswissenschaft in den 1980er und 1990er Jahren über ein zunehmendes Engendering bis zur Entstehung einer queeren Translationswissenschaft zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts wird die Bedeutung von Gender in der Translationswissenschaft erkennbar. Der sprachliche Widerstand gegen Genderfestlegungen und Diskriminierungen hat das Potenzial, hegemoniale Diskurse zu dekonstruieren.

Tomasz Garbol's book reconstructs Czesław Miłosz's poetic vision of the world after the Fall. The entry point to this approach is the conviction about the ambivalence of previous interpretations of Miłosz's works, especially about his bipolar poetic worldview (his intellectual and existential division between pessimism and ecstasy) and his understanding of the consequences of the Fall (reversible or fatalistic). The book is a literary studies take on the relationship between literature and religion. The main direction is that Miłosz's main need in art comes from his yearning for contact with the meaning of reality, which he seeks in the activity of poetic imagination.

The book deals with the issue of the Holocaust in the Polish literature for children and adolescents. Drawing upon some of the leading Polish authors of the twentieth and the twentieth-first centuries, the author reveals the historical, ideological, and cultural entanglement of their works. The main focus of the book is to search for reasons behind the outpouring of interest in the Holocaust noticed in the most recent Polish literature for younger readers. Hence, as an ever-evolving discursive universe, it presents alternatives to religious truth claims that often lead to various forms of fundamentalism that we encounter today. Doświadczenie migracyjne w opowieści powojennych pisarek polskich stanowi próbę zarysowania pola tematycznego narracji migracyjnej polskich pisarek powojennych (jej wersji emigracyjnej, imigracyjnej, przesiedleńczej, a więc opowieści o różnych odmianach doświadczenia związanego z opuszczeniem własnego miejsca na ziemi i oswajaniem przestrzeni nowych, obcych). Refleksja nad tożsamością bohaterek rozważań, należących do kolejnych fal polskiej powojennej emigracji, z trudem budujących swoje domy w nie zawsze gościnnych krajach osiedlenia, poszukujących odpowiedniego języka do zapisu własnych przeżyć dowodzi też, iż można wskazać pewne podobieństwo kobiecej opowieści powojennych emigrantek polskich i narratorek opowieści postpeerelowskiej o ludziach polsko-niemieckiego pogranicza.

Koncepcję człowieka stworzoną przez pisarkę, nazwano tu'personologią'i odniesiono do całej twórczości autorki Niecierpliwych - powieści, opowiadań, dzienników i tekstów dyskursywnych. Personologia traktowana jest w tej książce jako jedna ze zdobyczy polskiego modernizmu (obok m.in. interakcjonizmu i charakterologii), sukcesywnie tworzona i ewoluująca, aczkolwiek nigdy nienazwana przez polską pisarkę. Śledząc portrety bohaterów Nałkowskiej oraz jej literacki autoportret, autorka traktuje personologię nie tylko jako odpowiedź na inne współczesne Nałkowskiej koncepcje opisywania człowieka, ale także jako jeden z elementów modernistycznej rewizji dotychczasowego modelu świata i człowieka.
