The Encyclopedia of Governmental Advisory Organizations is the only comprehensive guide to the permanent, continuing, and ad hoc advisory committees of all kinds reporting to the president, Congress, and various U.S. government departments and agencies. EGAO describes the activities and personnel of groups and committees that function to advise the president of the United States and various departments and agencies of the federal government.
