This edited volume presents the latest research focussing on current challenges on the deployment of smart technologies and pedagogies for supporting teaching and learning in the post-covid19 era. This is at the core of studying the evolution of the learning process, the role of technology-supported pedagogical approaches, and the progress of educational technology innovations in the context of digital transformation in education and professional training. A selection of the best papers from the Cognition and Exploratory Learning in the Digital Age (CELDA) Conference, 2022 are included in this volume, bringing together high-quality research on Smart Pedagogies in the Post-Pandemic Era; Smart Learning Technologies in the Post-Pandemic Era; and Case Studies of Smart Learning Environments. The volume contributes to the discussion of current issues in digital education between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

This is an open access book. CISOC'2022 – The 2022 International Conference on International Studies in Social Sciences and Humanities, invites the entire scientific, academic and professional community to present their contributions, which can be written in French, English, Spanish or Portuguese. All papers (full articles) will be submitted to a “double-blind review” by at least two members of the Scientific Committee, based on relevance, originality, importance and clarity. It is with great pleasure and excitement that we gather here today for the annual international academic conference organized by the Mongolian National University of Education. For the past seventeen years, this conference has served as a platform for scholars and researchers to explore and discuss critical issues in higher education. Each year, we witness its growth in scope, quality, and participation, reaffirming its significance as a forum for intellectual exchange and collaboration.This conference since the last year was registered in the Atlantis Press of Springer Nature, providing open access to all the research papers presented and discussed during our time together. This development not only highlights the significance of our scholarly contributions but also amplifies the impact of our collective knowledge on a global scale.It is indeed an honor to host esteemed researchers from six countries, this international collaboration reflects the importance of cross-cultural dialogue and the shared commitment to advancing education quality. We are grateful to the participating organizations, such as the Ministry of Education and Science, Mongolian National Council of Education Accreditation, and many others, for their valuable contributions and support. This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings the 12th EAI International Conference on ArtsIT, Interactivity and Game Creation, ArtsIT 2023 which was held in São Paulo, Brazil, in November 27-29, 2023. The 40 revised full papers and 1 Short paper presented were carefully selected from 103 submissions. There are a number of books focused on the craft of college-level teaching. However, the vast majority of those books are tailored to tenure-track faculty. A number of specialty books also have been published, including texts on balancing teaching and research, techniques for teaching certain types of students (e.g., first-generation), and techniques for teaching for certain types of instructors (e.g., African-American women). Online resources are available, but locating material can be time-consuming.The target audience for The Essentials of College Teaching: A Guide for New and Adjunct College Instructors are adjunct (non tenure-track) instructors. Adjuncts now constitute 76.4% of U.S. faculty across all institutional types, with a staggering 80% at two-year institutions. Although teaching a heavy load, adjuncts are not typically included in on-campus professional development opportunities to improve their teaching skills. This book would be particularly helpful for first time or relatively novice college-level instructors, including doctoral graduate students teaching their first sections, new community college instructors, and new four-year college and university instructors.It's designed to get novice instructors through their first term, nerves intact and students satisfied. In the twenty years since Ray Land and Erik Meyer published their first paper on Threshold Concepts, there has been a steady stream of papers mulling over their original suggestions that learning, far from proceeding in an orderly fashion, is instead a process of struggle – perhaps alienation and confusion – that puts students in a troublesome liminal ‘in-between'state. As their understanding develops, liminality gives way to transformational insight whereby a whole field of study comes, often quite abruptly, into focus. There is a gain but often also a loss: in this new world, old certainties, assumptions and even aspects of our identity can be left by the wayside. Threshold Concepts in the Moment is the sixth collection in the series on the subject of Threshold Concepts, following the 8th Biennial Conference held in 2021, anchored at London's UCL but running online across the world.
