This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Data Science, ICDS 2019, held in Ningbo, China, during May 2019. The 64 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 210 submissions. The research papers cover the areas of Advancement of Data Science and Smart City Applications, Theory of Data Science, Data Science of People and Health, Web of Data, Data Science of Trust and Internet of Things.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th Asia Information Retrieval Societies Conference AIRS 2011, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in December 2011. The 31 revised full papers and 25 revised poster papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 132 submissions. All current aspects of information retrieval - in theory and practice - are addressed; the papers are organized in topical sections on information retrieval models and theories; information retrieval applications and multimedia information retrieval; user study, information retrieval evaluation and interactive information retrieval; Web information retrieval, scalability and adversarial information retrieval; machine learning for information retrieval; natural language processing for information retrieval; arabic script text processing and retrieval.

The Asia Information Retrieval Societies Conference (AIRS) 2010 was the sixth conference in the AIRS series,aiming to bring together international researchers and developers to exchange new ideas and the latest results in information - trieval. The scope of the conference encompassed the theory and practice of all aspects of information retrieval in text, audio, image, video, and multimedia data. AIRS 2010 continued the conference series that grew from the Information Retrieval with Asian Languages (IRAL) workshop series, started in 1996. It has become a mature venue for information retrieval work,?nding support from the ACM Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval (SIGIR); the Association for Computational Linguistics and Chinese Language Processing (ACLCLP); ROCLING; and the Information Processing Society of Japan, Special Interest GrouponInformationFundamentals andAccess Technologies(IPSJSIG-IFAT). This year saw a sharp rise in the number of submissions over the previous year. A total of 120 papers were submitted, representing work by academics and practitioners not only from Asia, but also from Australia, Europe, North America, etc. The high quality of the work made it di?cult for the dedicated programcommitteetodecidewhichpaperstofeatureattheconference.Through adouble-blindreviewingprocess,26submissions(21%)wereacceptedasfulloral papers and 31 (25%) were accepted as short posters. The success of this conferencewas only possible with the support of allof the authorswho submitted papers for review, the programcommittee members who constructively assessedthe submissions, and the registered conference delegates. We thank them for their support of this conference, and for their long-term support of this Asian-centric venue for IR research and development.

This volume contains papers selected for presentation at the 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Web Technology (APWeb 2005), which was held in Shanghai, China during March 29–April 1, 2005. APWeb is an international conference series on WWW technologies and is the primary forum for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to exchange knowledge on WWW-related technologies and new advanced applications. APWeb 2005 received 420 submissions from 21 countries and regions worldwide, including China, Korea, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, France, UK, Canada, USA, India, Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Belgium, New Zealand, and UAE. After a thorough review process for each submission by the Program Committee members and expert reviewers recommended by PC members, APWeb 2005 accepted 71 regular research papers (acceptance ratio 16.9%) and 22 short papers (acceptance ratio 5.2%). This volume also includes 6 keynote papers and 11 invited demo papers. The keynote lectures were given by six leading experts: Prof. Ah Chung Tsoi (Australia Research Council), Prof. Zhiyong Liu (National Nature Science Foundation of China), Prof. John Mylopoulos (University of Toronto), Prof. Ramamohanarao (Rao) Kotagiri (University of Melbourne), Prof. Calton Pu (Georgia Tech), and Prof. Zhiwei Xu (Chinese Academy of Sciences).

Welcome to Zhangjiajie for the 3rd International Conference on Computer Network and Mobile Computing (ICCNMC 2005). We are currently witnessing a proliferation in mobile/wireless technologies and applications. However, these new technologies have ushered in unprecedented challenges for the research community across the range of networking, mobile computing, network security and wireless web applications, and optical network topics. ICCNMC 2005 was sponsored by the China Computer Federation, in cooperation with the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society. The objective of this conference was to address and capture highly innovative and stateof-the-art research and work in the networks and mobile computing industries. ICCNMC 2005 allowed sharing of the underlying theories and applications, and the establishment of new and long-term collaborative channels aimed at developing innovative concepts and solutions geared to future markets. The highly positive response to ICCNMC 2001 and ICCNMC 2003, held in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively, encouraged us to continue this international event. In its third year, ICCNMC 2005 continued to provide a forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners from around the world to report on new advances in computer network and mobile computing, as well as to identify issues and directions for research and development in the new era of evolving technologies.
