This book constitutes the proceedings of the BPM 2024 Blockchain/RPA/CEE/Educators/Industry Forum held at the 22nd International Conference on Business Process Management, BPM 2024, which took place in Krakow, Poland, in September 2024. The Blockchain Forum provided a platform for exploring and discussing innovative ideas on the intersection of BPM and blockchain technology. The CEE Forum deals with BPM research in Central and Eastern European countries, emphasizing the specific challenges due to cultural, political, regional, or organizational differences. The RPA Forum focused on the use of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the field of Business Process Management. The Educators Forum brought together educators within the BPM community for sharing resources to improve the practice of teaching BPM-related topics. The Industry Forum served as a platform connecting academia and industry professionals to exchange real-world experiences and insights on leveraging Business Process Management. The total of 35 papers included in this book was carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 69 papers submitted to these forums.

The present book contains the proceedings of two conferences held at the World Computer Congress 2010 in Brisbane, Australia (September 20–23) organised by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). In the first part, the reader can find the proceedings of the 9th Human Choice and Computers International C- ference (HCC9) organised by the IFIP Technical Committee TC9 on the Relationship Between ICT and Society. The HCC9 part is subdivided into four tracks: Ethics and ICT Governance, Virtual Technologies and Social Shaping, Surveillance and Privacy, and ICT and Sustainable Development. The second part consists of papers given at the Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Conference (CIP) organized by the IFIP Technical Committee TC11 on Security and Privacy Protection in Information Processing Systems. The two parts of the book are introduced by the respective Conference Chairs. Chapter 1 introduces HCC9, providing a short summary of the HCC conference series, which started in 1974, and explaining the overview of HCC9, detailing the rationale behind each of the tracks in this conference. The details related to the papers of each track are discussed by the Track Chairs in the respective introductions to the specific tracks of HCC9 (Chaps. 2, 10, 16 and 22). This book constitutes the proceedings of the nine workshops that were organized in conjunction with the Business Information Systems Conference, BIS 2009, taking place in Poznan, Poland, on April 27-29, 2009.The 34 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 72 submissions. In addition, the volume contains the BIS 2009 keynote speech and two invited speeches presented at the workshops LIT and ECONOM/Enterprise X.0.The topics covered are DeepWeb (ADW), applications and economics of knowledge-based technologies (AKTB, ECONOM), service-oriented architectures (SDS-SOA), legal IT (LIT), social Web and Web 2.0 (SAW, Enterprise X.0), e-learning (EeLT), and enterprise systems in higher education (ESHE).

BIS 2007 was the tenth in a series of international conferences on business information systems. The conference took place in Poznan, where it started in 1997. From the very beginning it has been recognized by professionals as a forum for the exchange and dissemination of topical research in the development, implementation, application and improvement of computer systems for business processes. The theme of this jubilee conference was “Semantic Integration of Data and Processes across Enterprises and Societies.” The material collected in this volume covers research trends as well as current achievements and cutting-edge developments in the area of modern business information systems. A set of 51 papers were selected for the presentation during the main event and grouped around conference topics: Business Process Management, Web Services, Ontologies, Information Retrieval, System Design, Agents and Mobile Applications, Decision Support, Social Issues, Specific MIS Issues. The Program Committee consisted of almost 100 members that carefully evaluated all the submitted papers. This year their work was significantly harder as the number of submissions doubled compared to BIS 2006. As in previous years, they were supported by an online transparent review system. Once again we observed an increase in the quality of the reviews, thus sustaining the fairness of the final acceptance decisions. It not only raised the quality of the conference, but also positively affected the work of authors.
