Students pursuing higher technical education are expected to acquire certain degree of technical skills and subsequently apply them when they enter the industry. Industry expects new recruits to be well organized as well. Industry, currently, is facing the problem to recruit the skilled and well-organized peoples due to huge gap between AS IS (what is available) and TO BE (what is required). This paper aims to suggest certain measures so as to enhance the quality of students by developing the new metric like, "Quality Measuring Metric (", and "Quality Improvement Process", using Personal Software Process [1] and software engineering. This paper delineates the unconventional use of personal software process and Software Engineering [2][9]. PSP and Software Engineering are used here to increase the efficiency and quality of students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
