Tourism research has indeed become a booming and attractive agenda for data analysis oriented empirical economist thanks to modern technology. There has been a tremendous improvement over last decades in the mathematical, statistical, probabilistic, and computational tools available to applied macroeconomics in tourism research. The book is no attempt to make comprehensive or broad representation of the issues of development of macro econometric modelling in tourism research. Authors'intention is to be selective, illustrative and deep, to present cases of analytical thinking on some of the major issues of model-based research in tourism sector. Zdravko Šergo is Senior Research Associate at Institute of Agriculture and tourism Poreč, Croatia. His scientific research and professional activities are focused on Tourism economy, Macroeconomic aspects of tourism, Sustainable tourism development. During his carrier he was a member of scientific teams in numerous projects among two or more scientific institutions. He published more than a hundred scientific papers and numerous book chapters. Jasmina Gržinić is full Professor of Tourism at Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, Department of Economics and Tourism, where she was the Head of the Department of Tourism for many years. She is a member of the editorial boards of 5 international scientific journals and 4 international scientific monographs. Perspectives and research on play for children with disabilities. Collected Papers. This book includes eight chapters reflecting various approaches towards the theme of play for children with disabilities that characterised the work of the members of the COST Action TD1309 “LUDI–Play for Children with Disabilities”: barriers and facilitators to play, guidelines on accessibility and usability of toys and technologies, literature reviews and parents'and studies on educators'perspectives on play are presented. The Quality Production Improvement (QPI) conference has been organized since 2006, when it initiated meetings of science and business. Every year, the conference presents issues of new scientific research as well as the companies'needs for creating new organizational solutions. The objective of the conference QPI is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in production engineering, quality of materials, technology and management. The success and prosperity of the conference is reflected in the high level of the papers received. This year, due to the pandemic, the conference was held in a hybrid mode. Some participants took part in the conference remotely via the MS Teams application, and some participants stationary. This form of conference gives much wider opportunities to reach a wider audience. The organizers of the conference Contemporary Mathematics in Kielce 2020 warmly welcome all the mathematicians interested in that field to participate in our meeting. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of tourism in the economy of Bulgaria. In this paper, we present the history of the Bulgarian tourism industry trends from the beginning to its contemporary policy patterns. We apply an econometric methodology consisting of unit root test, cointegration analysis, linear regression, correlation analysis, Granger causality test and 3-D visualizations by IBM Watson Studio based on the statistics for the period 1980-2017. Exploring the link between tourism and the economic development of Bulgaria, the tourism – led - growth hypothesis about Bulgaria is validated for the post-communism period. Our findings show that a relationship between tourism and Bulgaria's economic development exists. We can conclude that tourism is in part an endogenous growth process. The ‘Colección Psicología y Ley'was created by the Sociedad Española de Psicología Jurídica y Forense [Spanish Society of Forensic Psychology] with the aim of publishing the proceedings of the Society conferences. The proceedings consist of a selection of empirical unpublished papers and systematic and meta-analytic reviews of contributions presented to the conference of the Society on topics dealing with the intersection between psychology and law (e.g., testimony assessment, prison inmate treatment, community batterer treatment, forensic psychological injury assessment, child-to-parent violence, eyewitness testimony, legal decision making). The contributions have to lead knowledge transfer from scientific research to professional practice as a forensic psychologist. New applications and scientific evidence-based practices of psychology to law issues are especially welcome. The applications must be inserted in a legal framework (i.e., that to which the application was designed) and all the applications must meet with all the scientific (e.g., reliable and valid measures, forensic or statistical significance,) and specific legal requirements (e.g., testimony based in hypnosis is not permitted by Spanish laws, so applications based in this technique are not legally admissible; penitentiary treatment is voluntary, so offenders may not be forced to be treated). When appropriate and possible, a strict decision criterion for practitioners should be reported. Data normally involves the assessment of subjects, therefore they must be processed in accordance with national data protection law (where they were obtained or processed) and authors are urged to review the supplement to the APA ethical list. The enviBUILD conferences are organized annually by one of the Central European universities. They are building on the legacy of the Buildings and Environment Conferences held by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak Technical University. Since 2012 they have been carried out under the “enviBUILD” brand name. An overview of all previous conferences can be found at “www.cab.sk/pastevents.html”. The enviBUILD conferences seek to map the current situation in the field of sustainable construction in the Central European region. The fourteenth sequel organized 2019 in Bratislava, as a one-day event, focused on building physics and applied technology in architecture, building construction and environmental engineering, with the following themes and topics: Indoor Environment and its Hygienic Aspects Sustainable Buildings and Environmental Assessment Building Materials and Components Energy Performance of Buildings Hygrothermal Performance of Buildings Responsive and Adaptive Building Envelopes Ventilation of Buildings Daylighting Building Acoustic Energy and Indoor Environmental Simulation Of the seventy abstracts submitted, some fifty valuable scientific articles were produced, most of which were presented directly at the conference. The contributions came from eight countries and more than a dozen academic institutions. All published papers were peer-reviewed by at least two independent professionals. In this way they provide a relatively comprehensive overview of the research and development in the field of sustainable construction, especially in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, enriched with inspirations from Austria, France, Hungary and Ukraine. Western colonization of nations has long ended; however, it appears that many of the affected people, particularly Africans, are still captive of Western-imposed mentality and standards. „Globafricalisation‟, a newly coined term partly expressed as „the westernisation of researches and research outputs from Africa‟ is critically examined in this study. The emphasis on the global outlook and worldwide rating or ranking of researchers, their researches and their institutions partly prompted this research work. The perspectives of researchers from developing countries were sought through the administration of online survey and data obtained and were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The survey results indicate that majority of African academics are concerned about the issue and desire a paradigm shift to be supported by institutional administrators and policy makers. The phenomenon of Globafricalisation which includes the pressure to fit into the Western-imposed model despite the deficit of research support infrastructures may in part be fueling the push for global institutional and research rating by various institutions in Africa. No doubt, all institutions want a high ranking on a global scale but the apparent questions are: what parameters are ranked, and how acceptable, reputable and transparently flawless are the processes involved? In the same context, the ranking and/or assessment of academics and researchers ranking based on a journal impact factor or prevalent citation metrics is inherently flawed with several consequences particularly for the developing nations; it not only impairs the development of sound science but limits the sustainable exploration and expansion of indigenous knowledge for regional advancement. Numerous major flaws in the rating and ranking of researchers and institutions respectively were highlighted in this work. Furthermore, a detailed perspective of researchers in the African region was analyzed and recommendations made. It is obvious that as academics based in Africa are drowning in the flood of „Globafricalisation‟, research and indigenous innovations are most negatively impacted as best brains and research outputs including publications and patents are carried headlong to the “advanced world” which is relatively saturated. Globafricalisation undermines the full exploration of African potentials to tackle her peculiar challenges and optimally utilize resources. Therefore, the „de-Globafricalisation‟ of knowledge production, indigenous knowledge sharing and the general paradigm shift of the developing countries‟ perception must be a priority for all stakeholders. The Globafricalisation crave that seems to promote the inter-continental collaborations and publications at the expense of intra-continental publications and national growth should be curtailed. Obviously, developing countries must steer innovation, creativity and re-evaluate their overall priority, dependence on the western counterparts and institution ranking/metric system. They should develop a sustainable metrification needed for their regional development and profitable exploration of indigenous knowledge, promote rapid sustainable regional development, competition, visibility and seek global relevance. The authors have taken a bold step by developing some new metrics apposite for both single and multi-disciplinary evaluation of research and researchers. We have provided very easy-to-use expression to compute: i. Normalized Impact Factor approximation which may be useful for the ease of comparison of JIF within fields in a discipline. ii. Total Citation Impact metric for the evaluation of a research article in its field. This measures a paper‟s citation per year of existence. iii. Adjusted Author Impact Factor metric for evaluating the impact of authors within fields (depends on citations). iv. Weighted Author I

Theological Ethics in the book title is intended to mark a departure from the manner of Catholic practice named Moral Theology. This departure has two strands, because the practice that the Second Vatican Council critically addressed was a manualist tradition, while much of the practice following the Council has been represented as relativist. This book is not manualist in that the focus is upon method rather than on codified specification of behaviours. The work is not relativist in that the focus on method is firstly scriptural, approaching scripture in a holistic or canonical manner; and, further, is lawful, in an approach of law that focuses less on precept and more on understandings of natural law that brings together phenomenological evidences and scriptural evidences. The scriptural and natural law perspective present in the book also engages cross-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary learnings. These streams of scripture, natural law, and inter/cross-disciplinary learnings have a confluence in discourse in the manner of dialogue, a manner that is dialogical. This book introduces the overview of history, historical evidence and diplomatics. It also introduces the method of criticizing and researching historical evidence. In Vietnam, diplomatics has become a compulsory subject for students of the history faculty, and some universities have provided diplomatics major at higher education. Though historical scholars have been well aware of the importance of diplomatics, materials for studies and research in this scientific field are still limited. For this reason, since 2014, the History researchers of Thủ Dầu Một University, Vietnam, have come up with the idea of writing this book entitled Diplomatics and Vietnamese historical evidence to help the community of lecturers and students at tertiary education to access basic knowledge of diplomatics and an overall description of the system of historical evidence in Vietnam.

A suitable warm-up should be the foundation of any physical activity and at the same time its integral element. The book comprehensively covers the issue of warm-up in football. In the first part of the book, the authors present a detailed description of the methodology for conducting the warm-up taking into account its diverse structures and patterns of well-known theorists and practitioners. The purpose of this book is to demystify the causes of wealth and poverty like never before done. It is the seminal comprehensive presentation of the CDR index. The CDR index is a mathematical model that shows how capitalism (C), democracy (D) and rule of law (R) jointly with natural resources and geography explain almost all economic growth. As it turns out, capitalism, democracy, and rule of law are intangible policy variables that are at the disposal of all countries and explain almost all gross domestic production of tangible products and services. There is also a minor contribution from non-policy variables such as natural resources and geography. This monograph is a fascinating story about Count János Esterházy – a character that is slowly breaking through to the historical consciousness of Poles – a political activist of Hungarian origin, whose activity dates back to the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic and independent Slovakia. It is fascinating not only because of Esterházy's remarkable life position, but also due to the author's exceptional approach to the topic. A. Adamczyk took a challenge against the existing narration about János Esterházy, full of emotion and simplification. In fact, Esterházy, being Hungarian, was involved in the activities aimed at providing assistance to the Hungarian minority in Czechoslovakia (after 1939 – in Slovakia). Doing his best for the good of his countrymen, he did not hesitate to openly confront the most important decision-makers of the state of Masaryk and Beneš, as well as those of Slovakia, ruled by priest J. Tiso at that time. Therefore, his contemporaries considered him an enemy of Czech and Slovak statehood. Moreover, the general impression about the count's character was further complicated by his firm position against Nazism and Soviet Communism and his attachment to the Catholic Church. The author of the monograph undertook a difficult task to consider all the factors, which determined Esterházy's actions. Whether he succeeded or not, let the readers decide. The research described in this book searches for the answers on how learners learn in todays open and networked learning environments and how learners, educators, institutions, and researchers can best support this process. There is sufficient data available on virtual learning environments, provided by learning analytics, on student and teacher behaviour and performance, but there is no common practice among teachers in higher education for using this data to improve the learning and teaching process. Learning analytics and data may inform and improve open and online learning from the point of view of teacher and learner awareness about their behaviour and their learning and teaching methods. The idea of describing learning analytics as a metacognitive tool, suggesting a development of metacognitive decision-making skills in teacher education, and focusing on learning design in higher education by using data from learning analytics served as the main focus of this research. The aim of the research was to create the model of application of learning analytics method as a metacognitive tool to enhance student success. The monograph presents the complex analysis and evaluation of the changes of the social-spatial genotype of the large Lithuanian cities (Kaunas, Klaipėda and Vilnius) determined by the modernist urbanization of the Soviet era using the interdisciplinary theory of networks and mathematical network models as the main methodological tools. The idea behind the monograph is the following: the modernistic urbanism not only introduced the new spatial configurations in specific location of a city with a specific social scenario of public space usage, but essentially affected how city is functioning as a whole. The book examines the psycho-religious mechanism behind the violent extremism of suicide attacks in the post-9/11 world. The number of kindergartens is swelling in China, particularly private kindergartens, taking up two-thirds of early childhood education institutions nationwide. The quality of teaching in private kindergartens is positively linked to the levels of teachers'professional competence. Thus, to enhance the teaching quality in private kindergartens, strengthening teacher's professional competence is one of the vital approaches. Teacher's professional competence can be enhanced via effective CPD activities. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the impacts of CPD activities on Chinese private kindergarten teachers'professional competence and to identify to what extent, teachers can turn their professional competence into practice. A qualitative approach was adopted in this research. 18 kindergarten teachers and three kindergarten principals were selected as participants from three private kindergartens in Shenzhen. The findings showed that CPD activities can profoundly impact kindergarten teachers'professional competence— professional attitude, knowledge, and skills. They can also help teachers to be more inclusive and positive in their teaching. They also enabled teachers to learn various knowledge and skills that are relevant to child care and development, teaching, as well as cooperation with colleagues and children's parents. In addition, it was found that private kindergarten teachers would stay at different stages in turning their professional competence into practice. This process of turning professional competence into practice can be influenced by four levels of factors: teacher-level factors, classroom-level factors, school-level factors, and family-level factors. The research findings presented herein have significant implications for the knowledge base of private kindergarten teachers'CPD in China. This book is intended to familiarize the readers with basic concepts, and classic results of stability theory stated in a way as required by the rigorous rules of contemporary mathematics and, simultaneously, to introduce the learners to broad elds of not only the stability theory but also applications involved. The emphasis is put on various dynamical systems which are defined by different branches of science and through diverse areas of human activity but always with care not to exceed the basic classical approach in the presentation. All in all, the authors plan to combine the textbook-like with encyclopaedia-like content. Another special goal of the authors is to attract the reader's attention to those aspects of theories whose incomplete understanding may lead to inaccuracies or errors. Sometimes, anyway just as designed, the offered information is limited to the pure statements of facts without any proofs. The reader should consult the references to find out missing pieces of information. This book also makes use of numerical (computer) computations. Most of the material contained in the book has already been published, a large part in various works of the authors. Fragments of several chapters come from published works of other authors – some excerpts, particularly relating to basic concepts, and some classic results are taken from outside sources. The book is offered as a textbook for the college-level students or as an aid to the PhD students interested in practical problems of the stability theory. The prerequisites are not demanding - the basic knowledge of calculus, complex functions, and linear algebra which are covered in the suitable, elementary courses is required. The first two chapters include what is typically covered in most introductory courses for students. The first chapter contains definitions of various types of stability; the second commences classic stability theorems regarding ordinary differential equations, but the most basic, applicable in technical sciences. The linear equations are treated more broadly, which creates a foundation for the linear approximation of differential equations in the stability research. Chapter three deals with integral inequalities and their application to the stability studies. Integral inequalities, both linear and nonlinear, are effectively applied in the development of the direct Lyapunov method when the boundedness and stability of motion of nonlinear weakly coupled systems are studied. Chapter four is predominantly dedicated to the Lyapunov direct method. Still, some attention is also paid to the method of limiting equations because it can be used to study motion stability even in hopeless cases when other methods fail. The issue of constructing of the Lyapunov function is a key element in applications of the direct method, and this chapter provides several methods of constructing the function. In the end, a string of examples illustrating the use of the Lyapunov direct method is posted. Chapter five contains a detailed presentation of the comparison method and its use in the stability research. This method, being is essential part of the qualitative theory of equations, is particularly central in studies of largescale systems. In the method, some differential inequalities and Lyapunov functions allow nonlinear transformations of the original system to an equation (a system or a matrix system) of a lower dimension. The idea of delimiting and estimating so-called stability domains is developed in chapter six, where also a qualitative comparison of different stability procedures is made. The evaluation of the efficiency of various methods is conducted by applying, in each case, the same vector norm as a measure of the distance between solutions - no surprise the Lyapunov direct method wins the competition. The aim of the present study is theoretical. The question set up for examination is whether there is a cognitive model that underpins human sense-making in the context of film experience. The conceptual resources provided by Cognitive grammar (as elaborated by Ronald W. Langacker), the recent developments of the neuroscience of emotions (as advocated by Lawrence Barsalou, Lisa Feldman Barrett, and Giovanna Colombetti), the theory of attention advocated by Michael S. A. Graziano, and several suggestions from the embodied-enactive approach (in the works of Evan Thompson and Maxine Johnson-Smith) seemed particularly useful coordinates for this research composed of analytical reflections. The study focuses on the cognitive model based on the action of control, understood as an explanatory instrument for creating meaning, and follows up with the possible applications in the domain of film analysis. The work is the result of collaborative research spurred by theoretical advances and hypotheses from neuroscience, neurolinguistics, and film theory and analysis. On the account developed here, the structure of the control cycle cognitive model is regarded as central to sense-making.

Aalto University hosted the 2nd edition of the International Seminar on Safety and Security of Autonomous Vessels (ISSAV) together with the 7th edition of the　European STAMP Workshop and Conference (ESWC). ISSAV promotes all aspects of maritime safety and security in the context of autonomous vessels. Pelvic floor disorders are a very important subject in public health, with a major impact on quality of life. In USA for instance, epidemiology data indicate that between 11 and 19% of women may suffer at least one such surgical procedure. This field is in continuous change and there is not a consensus yet in therapeutic approach. This book provides a general overview on the pelvic pathology, concentrating on clinical aspects – diagnostic, physiopathology and treatment. Worldwide known authors have been gathered in order to present a high scientific reference. The most important thing in this book is that it offers a systematic approach on surgical techniques. Prof. Židonis has developed, and in this monograph introduces, an integral ZI method for theoretical calculation of each individual actual value of the stress-strain parameters (crack, the height of the compression and tension zones, the stress and strain of the layers of the structural member) at cross-sections of structural members subjected to bending moments and/or axial forces at any stage of loading directly considering the actual properties of the materials. The method helps resolve an extremely important and complicated problem, i.e that of theoretical computation of the actual position of the neutral axis. The ZI Method is applicable for calculating the values of the parameters of members with various cross-sections, of members that are differently reinforced, of members made of different materials, as well as that of layered structural members. Stress-strain functions can be described using different equations. For calculations, only the stress-strain diagrams of materials are needed.

Despite the continuous development of electrochemical battery technology and the multitude of electric buses on offer, it is still not possible to exploit electric buses in urban transport on an all-day basis without the necessity of charging them. It is therefore necessary to build point-to-point contact charging stations or induction charging stations at the terminals. This will result in substantial financial outlays connected with the construction of the charging stations, and the need to extend stopping times at the terminals; there are also problems which could arise regarding the situations where the bus routes are. The alternative solution is a Dynamic Charging System of electric vehicles, also known as In Motion Charging (IMC).This book is devoted to the dynamic charging of electric buses using a trolleybus traction network. It was based on the author's scientific and research work carried out into the Gdynia trolleybus network. In 2016, three pyrotechnicians working on humanitarian demining in Croatia died in action in three separate incidents. These incidents occurred 21 year after the end of the war and armed conflicts in Croatia. In all three incidents casualties were caused by deadly anti-personnel Yugoslavian mines PROM-1, which were'seeded'during the war in period 1991-1995. These incidents prove that the only thing bad as war itself are remains of war: mines and unexploded ammunition. It is not hard to conclude that mine contamination is one of the main obstacles to economic recovery and other types of progress in mine-affected countries. Therefore, the primary goal of humanitarian demining operations (mine actions) is to clear all suspected minefields and restore them so as to make them available for their previous use. The financial shortfalls result in the need for priority-setting in the mine action process. This book describes and investigates a new approach to priority setting within mine action, with the introduction of a Decision Support System (DSS) for mine action management. The proposed DSS is focused on determining the objective priorities required to reduce the risks stemming from mine contamination. DSS is based on a combination of Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis and a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) in order to enable efficacious mine action management, namely setting humanitarian demining priorities in order to optimally reduce the risk caused by mines. Furthermore, priority-setting based on scientific Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA), like the PROMETHEE method used in this research, can help overcome the differences in priorities between different stakeholders (local inhabitants, politicians, mine-action experts, donors, etc.). Scientific MCA procedure is a transparent process, thus creates confidence in the whole priority-setting procedure. The idea of having transparent process taking into account all relevant criteria and preferences of the stakeholders is the main idea of this research and it has been presented through three different Case Studies.
