The combination of ultra-wide band (UWB) and inertial measurement unit (IMU) positioning is subject to random errors and non-line-of-sight errors, and in this paper, an improved positioning strategy is proposed to address this problem. The Kalman filter (KF) is used to pre-process the original UWB measurements, suppressing the effect of range mutation values of UWB on combined positioning, and the extended Kalman filter (EKF) is used to fuse the UWB measurements with the IMU measurements, with the difference between the two measurements used as the measurement information. The non-line-of-sight (NLOS) measurement information is also used. The optimal estimate is obtained by adjusting the system measurement noise covariance matrix in real time, according to the judgment result, and suppressing the interference of non-line-of-sight factors. The optimal estimate of the current state is fed back to the UWB range value in the next state, and the range value is dynamically adjusted after one-dimensional filtering pre-processing. Compared with conventional tightly coupled positioning, the positioning accuracy of the method in this paper is improved by 46.15% in the field experimental positioning results. The detection algorithm commonly misses obscured pedestrians in traffic scenes with a high pedestrian density because mutual occlusion among pedestrians reduces the prediction box score of the concealed pedestrians. The paper uses the YOLOv7 algorithm as the baseline and makes the following three improvements by investigating the variables influencing the detection method's performance: First, the backbone network of the YOLOv7 algorithm is replaced with the lightweight feature extraction network Mobilenetv3 since the pedestrian detection algorithm frequently needs to be deployed in driverless mobile, which requires a fast operating speed of the algorithm; second, a high-resolution feature pyramid structure is suggested for the issue of missed detection of hidden pedestrians, which upscales the feature maps generated from the feature pyramid to increase the resolution of the output feature maps and introduces shallow feature maps to strengthen the distinctions between adjacent sub-features to enhance the network's ability to extract features for the visible area of hidden pedestrians and small-sized pedestrians in order to produce deeper features with greater differentiation for pedestrians; and the third is to suggest a detection head based on an attention mechanism that is employed to lower the confidence level of target neighboring sub-features, lower the quantity of redundant detection boxes, and lower the following NMS computation. The mAP of the suggested approach in this work achieves 89.75%, which is 9.5 percentage points better than the YOLOv7 detection algorithm, according to experiments on the CrowdHuman pedestrian-intensive dataset. In substation lightning rod meter reading data taking, the classical object detection model is not suitable for deployment in substation monitoring hardware devices due to its large size, large number of parameters, and slow detection speed, while is difficult to balance detection accuracy and real-time requirements with the existing lightweight object detection model. To address this problem, this paper constructs a lightweight object detection algorithm, YOLOv5-Meter Reading Lighting (YOLOv5-MRL), based on the improved YOLOv5 model's speed while maintaining accuracy. Then, the YOLOv5s are pruned based on the convolutional kernel channel soft pruning algorithm, which greatly reduces the number of parameters in the YOLOv5-MRL model while maintaining a certain accuracy loss. Finally, in order to facilitate the dial reading, the dial external circle fitting method is proposed to calculate the dial reading using the circular angle algorithm. The experimental results on the self-built dataset show that the YOLOv5-MRL object detection model achieves a mean average precision of 96.9%, a detection speed of 5 ms/frame, and a model weight size of 5.5 MB, making it better than other advanced dial reading models. Aiming at the common problems, such as noise pollution, low contrast, and color distortion in underwater images, and the characteristics of holothurian recognition, such as morphological ambiguity, high similarity with the background, and coexistence of special ecological scenes, this paper proposes an underwater holothurian target-detection algorithm (FA-CenterNet), based on improved CenterNet and scene feature fusion. First, to reduce the model's occupancy of embedded device resources, we use EfficientNet-B3 as the backbone network to reduce the model's Params and FLOPs. At the same time, EfficientNet-B3 increases the depth and width of the model, which improves the accuracy of the model. Then, we design an effective FPT (feature pyramid transformer) combination module to fully focus and mine the information on holothurian ecological scenarios of different scales and spaces (e.g., holothurian spines, reefs, and waterweeds are often present in the same scenario as holothurians). The co-existing scene information can be used as auxiliary features to detect holothurians, which can improve the detection ability of fuzzy and small-sized holothurians. Finally, we add the AFF module to realize the deep fusion of the shallow-detail and high-level semantic features of holothurians. The results show that the method presented in this paper yields better results on the 2020 CURPC underwater target-detection image dataset with an AP50 of 83.43%, Params of 15.90 M, and FLOPs of 25.12 G compared to other methods. In the underwater holothurian-detection task, this method improves the accuracy of detecting holothurians with fuzzy features, a small size, and dense scene. Many compartments are prone to pose safety hazards such as loose fasteners or object intrusion due to their confined space, making manual inspection challenging. To address the challenges of complex inspection environments, diverse target categories, and variable scales in confined compartments, this paper proposes a novel GMS-YOLO network, based on the improved YOLOv8 framework. In addition to the lightweight design, this network accurately detects targets by leveraging more precise high-level and low-level feature representations obtained from GhostHGNetv2, which enhances feature-extraction capabilities. To handle the issue of complex environments, the backbone employs GhostHGNetv2 to capture more accurate high-level and low-level feature representations, facilitating better distinction between background and targets. In addition, this network significantly reduces both network parameter size and computational complexity. To address the issue of varying target scales, the first layer of the feature fusion module introduces Multi-Scale Convolutional Attention (MSCA) to capture multi-scale contextual information and guide the feature fusion process. A new lightweight detection head, Shared Convolutional Detection Head (SCDH), is designed to enable the model to achieve higher accuracy while being lighter. To evaluate the performance of this algorithm, a dataset for object detection in this scenario was constructed. The experiment results indicate that compared to the original model, the parameter number of the improved model decreased by 37.8%, the GFLOPs decreased by 27.7%, and the average accuracy increased from 82.7% to 85.0%. The treatment of moving objects in simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is a key challenge in contemporary robotics. In this paper, we propose an extension of the EKF-SLAM algorithm that incorporates moving objects into the estimation process, which we term KISS. We have extended the robotic vision toolbox to analyze the influence of moving objects in simulations. Two linear and one nonlinear motion models are used to represent the moving objects. The observation model remains the same for all objects. The proposed model is evaluated against an implementation of the state-of-the-art formulation for moving object tracking, DATMO. We investigate increasing numbers of static landmarks and dynamic objects to demonstrate the impact on the algorithm and compare it with cases where a moving object is mistakenly integrated as a static landmark (false negative) and a static landmark as a moving object (false positive). In practice, distances to dynamic objects are important, and we propose the safety–distance–error metric to evaluate the difference between the true and estimated distances to a dynamic object. The results show that false positives have a negligible impact on map distortion and ATE with increasing static landmarks, while false negatives significantly distort maps and degrade performance metrics. Explicitly modeling dynamic objects not only performs comparably in terms of map distortion and ATE but also enables more accurate tracking of dynamic objects with a lower safety–distance–error than DATMO. We recommend that researchers model objects with uncertain motion using a simple constant position model, hence we name our contribution Keep it Static SLAMMOT. Detecting and tracking personnel onboard is an important measure to prevent ships from being invaded by outsiders and ensure ship security. Ships are characterized by more cabins, numerous equipment, and dense personnel, so there are problems such as unpredictable personnel trajectories, frequent occlusions, and many small targets, which lead to the poor performance of existing multi-target-tracking algorithms on shipboard surveillance videos. This study conducts research in the context of onboard surveillance and proposes a multi-object detection and tracking algorithm for anti-intrusion on ships. First, this study designs the BR-YOLO network to provide high-quality object-detection results for the tracking algorithm. The shallow layers of its backbone network use the BiFormer module to capture dependencies between distant objects and reduce information loss. Second, the improved C2f module is used in the deep layer of BR-YOLO to introduce the RepGhost structure to achieve model lightweighting through reparameterization. Then, the Part OSNet network is proposed, which uses different pooling branches to focus on multi-scale features, including part-level features, thereby obtaining strong Re-ID feature representations and providing richer appearance information for personnel tracking. Finally, by integrating the appearance information for association matching, the tracking trajectory is generated in Tracking-By-Detection mode and validated on the self-constructed shipboard surveillance dataset. The experimental results show that the algorithm in this paper is effective in shipboard surveillance. Compared with the present mainstream algorithms, the MOTA, HOTP, and IDF1 are enhanced by about 10 percentage points, the MOTP is enhanced by about 7 percentage points, and IDs are also significantly reduced, which is of great practical significance for the prevention of intrusion by ship personnel. In this paper, we present a novel three-dimensional spatial path planning algorithm based on the Vector Field Histogram* (VFH*) approach, specifically tailored for underwater robotics applications. Our method leverages the strengths of VFH* in obstacle avoidance while enhancing its capability to handle complex three-dimensional environments. Through extensive simulations, we demonstrate the superior performance of our algorithm compared to traditional methods, such as RS-RRT algorithm. Our results show significant improvements in terms of computational efficiency and path optimality, making it a viable solution for real-time path planning in dynamic underwater environments. Object detection is applied extensively in various domains, including industrial manufacturing, road traffic management, warehousing and logistics, and healthcare. In ship object detection tasks, detection networks are frequently deployed on devices with limited computational resources, e.g., unmanned surface vessels. This creates a need to balance accuracy with a low parameter count and low computational load. This paper proposes an improved object detection network based on YOLOv5. To reduce the model parameter count and computational load, we utilize an enhanced ShuffleNetV2 network as the backbone. In addition, a split-DLKA module is devised and implemented in the small object detection layer to improve detection accuracy. Finally, we introduce the WIOUv3 loss function to minimize the impact of low-quality samples on the model. Experiments conducted on the SeaShips dataset demonstrate that the proposed method reduces parameters by 71% and computational load by 58% compared to YOLOv5s. In addition, the proposed method increases the mAP@0.5 and mAP@0.5:0.95 values by 3.9% and 3.3%, respectively. The objective of image super-resolution is to reconstruct a high-resolution (HR) image with the prior knowledge from one or several low-resolution (LR) images. However, in the real world, due to the limited complementary information, the performance of both single-frame and multi-frame super-resolution reconstruction degrades rapidly as the magnification increases. In this paper, we propose a novel two-step image super resolution method concatenating multi-frame super-resolution (MFSR) with single-frame super-resolution (SFSR), to progressively upsample images to the desired resolution. The proposed method consisting of an L0-norm constrained reconstruction scheme and an enhanced residual back-projection network, integrating the flexibility of the variational model-based method and the feature learning capacity of the deep learning-based method. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, extensive experiments with both simulated and real world sequences were implemented. The experimental results show that the proposed method yields superior performance in both objective and perceptual quality measurements. The average PSNRs of the cascade model in set5 and set14 are 33.413 dB and 29.658 dB respectively, which are 0.76 dB and 0.621 dB more than the baseline method. In autonomous driving, environmental perception technology often encounters challenges such as false positives, missed detections, and low accuracy, particularly in detecting small objects and complex scenarios. Existing algorithms frequently suffer from issues like feature redundancy, insufficient contextual interaction, and inadequate information fusion, making it difficult to perform multi-task detection and segmentation efficiently. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an end-to-end multi-task environmental perception model named YOLO-Mg, designed to simultaneously perform traffic object detection, lane line detection, and drivable area segmentation. First, a multi-stage gated aggregation network (MogaNet) is employed during the feature extraction process to enhance contextual interaction by improving diversity in the channel dimension, thereby compensating for the limitations of feed-forward neural networks in contextual understanding. Second, to further improve the model's accuracy in detecting objects of various scales, a restructured weighted bidirectional feature pyramid network (BiFPN) is introduced, optimizing cross-level information fusion and enabling the model to handle object detection at different scales more accurately. Finally, the model is equipped with one detection head and two segmentation heads to achieve efficient multi-task environmental perception, ensuring the simultaneous execution of multiple tasks. The experimental results on the BDD100K dataset demonstrate that the model achieves a mean average precision (mAP50) of 81.4% in object detection, an Intersection over Union (IoU) of 28.9% in lane detection, and a mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) of 92.6% in drivable area segmentation. Three-dimensional point cloud registration is a critical task in 3D perception for sensors that aims to determine the optimal alignment between two point clouds by finding the best transformation. Existing methods like RANSAC and its variants often face challenges, such as sensitivity to low overlap rates, high computational costs, and susceptibility to outliers, leading to inaccurate results, especially in complex or noisy environments. In this paper, we introduce a novel 3D registration method, CL-PCR, inspired by the concept of maximal cliques and built upon the SC2-PCR framework. Our approach allows for the flexible use of smaller sampling subsets to extract more local consensus information, thereby generating accurate pose hypotheses even in scenarios with low overlap between point clouds. This method enhances robustness against low overlap and reduces the influence of outliers, addressing the limitations of traditional techniques. First, we construct a graph matrix to represent the compatibility relationships among the initial correspondences. Next, we build clique-likes subsets of various sizes within the graph matrix, each representing a consensus set. Then, we compute the transformation hypotheses for the subsets using the SVD algorithm and select the best hypothesis for registration based on evaluation metrics. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of CL-PCR. In comparison experiments on the 3DMatch/3DLoMatch datasets using both FPFH and FCGF descriptors, our Fast-CL-PCRv1 outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms, achieving superior registration performance. This paper proposes a method for solving the path planning problem for a collaborative robot. The time-optimal, smooth, collision-free B-spline path is obtained by the application of a nature-inspired optimization algorithm. The proposed approach can be especially useful when moving items that are delicate or contain a liquid in an open container using a robotic arm. The goal of the optimization is to obtain the shortest execution time of the production cycle, taking into account the velocity, velocity and jerk limits, and the derivative continuity of the final trajectory. For this purpose, the velocity profiling algorithm for B-spline paths is proposed. The methodology has been applied to the production cycle optimization of the pick-and-place process using a collaborative robot. In comparison with point-to-point movement and the solution provided by the RRT* algorithm with the same velocity profiling to ensure the same motion limitations, the proposed path planning algorithm decreased the entire production cycle time by 11.28% and 57.5%, respectively. The obtained results have been examined in a simulation with the entire production cycle visualization. While digital twin networks (DTNs) can potentially estimate network strategy performance in pre-validation environments, they are still in their infancy for split learning (SL) tasks, facing challenges like unknown non-i.i.d. data distributions, inaccurate channel states, and misreported resource availability across devices. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a TransNeural algorithm for DTN pre-validation environment to estimate SL latency and convergence. First, the TransNeural algorithm integrates transformers to efficiently model data similarities between different devices, considering different data distributions and device participate sequence greatly influence SL training convergence. Second, it leverages neural network to automatically establish the complex relationships between SL latency and convergence with data distributions, wireless and computing resources, dataset sizes, and training iterations. Deviations in user reports are also accounted for in the estimation process. Simulations show that the TransNeural algorithm improves latency estimation accuracy by 9.3 % and convergence estimation accuracy by 22.4 % compared to traditional equation-based methods. This paper proposes a heuristic association algorithm between access points (APs) and user equipment (UE) in user-centric cell-free massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems, specifically targeting scenarios where UEs share the same frequency and time resources. The proposed algorithm prevents overserving APs and ensures the connectivity of all UEs, even when the number of UEs is significantly greater than the number of APs. Additionally, we assume the use of low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) to reduce fronthaul capacity. While realistic massive access scenarios, such as those in Internet-of-Things (IoT) environments, often involve hundreds or thousands of UEs per AP using multiple access techniques to allocate different frequency and time resources, our study focuses on scenarios where UEs within each AP cluster share the same frequency and time resources to highlight the impact of pilot contamination in dense network environments. The proposed algorithm is validated through simulations, confirming that it guarantees the connection of all UEs and prevents overserving APs. Door access control systems are important to protect the security and integrity of physical spaces. Accuracy and speed are important factors that govern their performance. In this paper, we investigate a novel approach to identify users by measuring patterns of their interactions with a doorknob via an embedded accelerometer and gyroscope and by applying deep-learning-based algorithms to these measurements. Our identification results obtained from 47 users show an accuracy of 90.2%. When the sex of the user is used as an input feature, the accuracy is 89.8% in the case of male individuals and 97.0% in the case of female individuals. We study how the accuracy is affected by the sample duration, finding that is its possible to identify users using a sample of 0.5 s with an accuracy of 68.5%. Our results demonstrate the feasibility of using patterns of motor activity to provide access control, thus extending with it the set of alternatives to be considered for behavioral biometrics. Dragon fruit stem disease significantly affects both the quality and yield of dragon fruit. Therefore, there is an urgent need for an efficient, high-precision intelligent detection method to address the challenge of disease detection. To address the limitations of traditional methods, including slow detection and weak micro-integration capability, this paper proposes an improved YOLOv8-G algorithm. The algorithm reduces computational redundancy by introducing the C2f-Faster module. The loss function was modified to the structured intersection over union (SIoU), and the coordinate attention (CA) and content-aware reorganization feature extraction (CARAFE) modules were incorporated. These enhancements increased the model's stability and improved its accuracy in recognizing small targets. Experimental results showed that the YOLOv8-G algorithm achieved a mean average precision (mAP) of 83.1% and mAP50:95 of 48.3%, representing improvements of 3.3% and 2.3%, respectively, compared to the original model. The model size and floating point operations per second (FLOPS) were reduced to 4.9 MB and 6.9 G, respectively, indicating reductions of 20% and 14.8%. To improve the performance of roller bearing fault diagnosis, this paper proposes an algorithm based on subtraction average-based optimizer (SABO), variational mode decomposition (VMD), and weighted Manhattan-K nearest neighbor (WMH–KNN). Initially, the SABO algorithm uses a composite objective function, including permutation entropy and mutual information entropy, to optimize the input parameters of VMD. Subsequently, the optimized VMD is used to decompose the signal to obtain the optimal decomposition characteristics and the corresponding intrinsic mode function (IMF). Finally, the weighted Manhattan function (WMH) is used to enhance the classification distance of the KNN algorithm, and WMH–KNN is used for fault diagnosis based on the optimized IMF features. The performance of the SABO–VMD and WMH–KNN models is verified through two experimental cases and compared with traditional methods. The results show that the accuracy of motor-bearing fault diagnosis is significantly improved, reaching 97.22% in Dataset 1, 98.33% in Dataset 2, and 99.2% in Dataset 3. Federated learning is an effective approach for preserving data privacy and security, enabling machine learning to occur in a distributed environment and promoting its development. However, an urgent problem that needs to be addressed is how to encourage active client participation in federated learning. The Shapley value, a classical concept in cooperative game theory, has been utilized for data valuation in machine learning services. Nevertheless, existing numerical evaluation schemes based on the Shapley value are impractical, as they necessitate additional model training, leading to increased communication overhead. Moreover, participants' data may exhibit Non-IID characteristics, posing a significant challenge to evaluating participant contributions. Non-IID data have greatly affected the accuracy of the global model, weakened the marginal effect of the participants, and led to the underestimated contribution measurement results of the participants. Current work often overlooks the impact of heterogeneity on model aggregation. This paper presents a fair federated learning contribution measurement scheme that addresses the need for additional model computations. By introducing a novel aggregation weight, it enhances the accuracy of the contribution measurement. Experiments on the MNIST and Fashion MNIST dataset show that the proposed method can accurately compute the contributions of participants. With the increasingly widespread application of large-scale energy storage battery systems, the demand for battery safety is rising. Research on how to detect battery anomalies early and reduce the occurrence of thermal runaway (TR) accidents has become particularly important. Existing research on battery TR warning algorithms can be mainly divided into two categories: model-driven and data-driven methods. However, the common model-driven methods are often of high complexity, with poor versatility and low early warning capability; and the common data-driven methods are mostly based on neural networks, requiring substantial training costs, with better early warning capabilities but higher false alarm probabilities. To address the limitations of existing works, this paper proposes a combined data-driven and model-based algorithm for accurate battery TR warnings. Specifically, the K-Means algorithm serves as the data-driven module, capturing outliers in battery data, and the Bernardi equation serves as the model-driven module used to evaluate battery temperature. Ultimately, the outputs of the weighted model-driven module and data-driven module are combined to comprehensively assess whether the battery is abnormal. The proposed algorithm combines the advantages of model-driven and data-driven approaches, achieving a 25 min advance warning for thermal runaway, with a significantly reduced probability of false alarms. Considering that the existing path planning algorithms for mobile robots under rugged terrain do not consider the ground flatness and the lack of optimality, which leads to the instability of the center of mass of the mobile robot, this paper proposes an improved A* algorithm for mobile robots under rugged terrain based on the ground accessibility model and the ground ruggedness model. Firstly, the ground accessibility and ruggedness models are established based on the elevation map, expressing the ground flatness. Secondly, the elevation cost function that can obtain the optimal path is designed based on the two types of models combined with the characteristics of the A* algorithm, and the continuous cost function is established by connecting with the original distance cost function, which avoids the center-of-mass instability caused by the non-optimal path. Finally, the effectiveness of the improved algorithm is verified by simulation and experiment. The results show that compared with the existing commonly used path planning algorithms under rugged terrain, the enhanced algorithm improves the smoothness of paths and the optimization degree of paths in the path planning process under rough terrain. In recent years, the integration of deep learning into robotic grasping algorithms has led to significant advancements in this field. However, one of the challenges faced by many existing deep learning-based grasping algorithms is their reliance on extensive training data, which makes them less effective when encountering unknown objects not present in the training dataset. This paper presents a simple and effective grasping algorithm that addresses this challenge through the utilization of a deep learning-based object detector, focusing on oriented detection of key features shared among most objects, namely straight edges and corners. By integrating these features with information obtained through image segmentation, the proposed algorithm can logically deduce a grasping pose without being limited by the size of the training dataset. Experimental results on actual robotic grasping of unknown objects over 400 trials show that the proposed method can achieve a higher grasp success rate of 98.25% compared to existing methods. In response to the increasing number of agents and changing task scenarios in multi-agent collaborative systems, existing collaborative strategies struggle to effectively adapt to new task scenarios. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a knowledge distillation method combined with a domain separation network (DSN-KD). This method leverages the well-performing policy network from a source task as the teacher model, utilizes a domain-separated neural network structure to correct the teacher model's outputs as supervision, and guides the learning of agents in new tasks. Azimuth multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has always been an important technical means to achieve high-resolution wide-swath (HRWS) SAR imaging. However, in the space-borne azimuth multi-channel SAR system, random phase noise will be produced during the operation of each channel receiver. The phase noise of each channel is superimposed on the SAR echo signal of the corresponding channel, which will cause the phase imbalance between the channels and lead to the generation of false targets. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes a random phase noise compensation method for space-borne azimuth multi-channel SAR. This method performs feature decomposition by calculating the covariance matrix of the echo signal and converts the random phase noise estimation into the optimal solution of the cost function. Considering that the phase noise in the receiver has frequency-dependent and time-varying characteristics, this method calculates the phase noise estimation value corresponding to each range-frequency point in the range direction and obtains the phase noise estimation value by expectation in the azimuth direction. Border surveillance and the monitoring of critical infrastructure are essential components of regional and industrial security. In this paper, our purpose is to study the intricate nature of surveillance methods used by hybrid monitoring systems utilizing Pan–Tilt–Zoom (PTZ) cameras, modeled as directional sensors, and UAVs. We aim to accomplish three occasionally conflicting goals. Firstly, at any given moment we want to detect as many intruders as possible with special attention to newly arriving trespassers. Secondly, we consider it equally important to observe the temporal movement and behavior of each intruder group as accurately as possible. Furthermore, in addition to these objectives, we also seek to minimize the cost of sensor usage associated with surveillance. During the research, we developed and analyzed several interrelated, increasingly complex algorithms. By leveraging RL methods we also gave the system the chance to find the optimal solution on its own. As a result we have gained valuable insights into how various components of these algorithms are interconnected and coordinate. Given the severe impact of Citrus Huanglongbing on orchard production, accurate detection of the disease is crucial in orchard management. In the natural environments, due to factors such as varying light intensities, mutual occlusion of citrus leaves, the extremely small size of Huanglongbing leaves, and the high similarity between Huanglongbing and other citrus diseases, there remains an issue of low detection accuracy when using existing mainstream object detection models for the detection of citrus Huanglongbing. To address this issue, we propose YOLO-EAF (You Only Look Once–Efficient Asymptotic Fusion), an improved model based on YOLOv8n. Firstly, the Efficient Multi-Scale Attention Module with cross-spatial learning (EMA) is integrated into the backbone feature extraction network to enhance the feature extraction and integration capabilities of the model. Secondly, the adaptive spatial feature fusion (ASFF) module is used to enhance the feature fusion ability of different levels of the model so as to improve the generalization ability of the model. Finally, the focal and efficient intersection over union (Focal–EIOU) is utilized as the loss function, which accelerates the convergence process of the model and improves the regression precision and robustness of the model. In order to verify the performance of the YOLO-EAF method, we tested it on the self-built citrus Huanglongbing image dataset. The experimental results showed that YOLO-EAF achieved an 8.4% higher precision than YOLOv8n on the self-built dataset, reaching 82.7%. The F1-score increased by 3.33% to 77.83%, and the mAP (0.5) increased by 3.3% to 84.7%. The high sensitivity and picosecond time resolution of single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) can improve the operational range and imaging accuracy of underwater detection systems. When an underwater SPAD imaging system is used to detect targets, backward-scattering caused by particles in water often results in the poor quality of the reconstructed underwater image. Although methods such as simple pixel accumulation have been proven to be effective for time–photon histogram reconstruction, they perform unsatisfactorily in a highly scattering environment. Therefore, new reconstruction methods are necessary for underwater SPAD detection to obtain high-resolution images. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that reconstructs high-resolution depth profiles of underwater targets from a time–photon histogram by employing the K-nearest neighbor (KNN) to classify multiple targets and the background. The results contribute to the performance of pixel accumulation and depth estimation algorithms such as pixel cross-correlation and ManiPoP. We use public experimental data sets and underwater simulation data to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The results of our algorithm show that the root mean square errors (RMSEs) of land targets and simulated underwater targets are reduced by 57.12% and 23.45%, respectively, achieving high-resolution single-photon depth profile reconstruction. Due to the uniqueness of the underwater environment, traditional data aggregation schemes face many challenges. Most existing data aggregation solutions do not fully consider node trustworthiness, which may result in the inclusion of falsified data sent by malicious nodes during the aggregation process, thereby affecting the accuracy of the aggregated results. Additionally, because of the dynamically changing nature of the underwater environment, current solutions often lack sufficient flexibility to handle situations such as node movement and network topology changes, significantly impacting the stability and reliability of data transmission. Infrared small target detection technology plays a crucial role in various fields such as military reconnaissance, power patrol, medical diagnosis, and security. The advancement of deep learning has led to the success of convolutional neural networks in target segmentation. However, due to challenges like small target scales, weak signals, and strong background interference in infrared images, convolutional neural networks often face issues like leakage and misdetection in small target segmentation tasks. To address this, an enhanced U-Net method called MST-UNet is proposed, the method combines multi-scale feature decomposition and fusion and attention mechanisms. The method involves using Haar wavelet transform instead of maximum pooling for downsampling in the encoder to minimize feature loss and enhance feature utilization. Additionally, a multi-scale residual unit is introduced to extract contextual information at different scales, improving sensory field and feature expression. The inclusion of a triple attention mechanism in the encoder structure further enhances multidimensional information utilization and feature recovery by the decoder. Under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio, the target detection performance of radar decreases, which seriously affects the tracking and recognition for the long-range small targets. To solve it, this paper proposes a target detection algorithm using convolutional neural network to process graphically expressed range time series signals. First, the two-dimensional echo signal was processed graphically. Second, the graphical echo signal was detected by the improved convolutional neural network. Chip pad inspection is of great practical importance for chip alignment inspection and correction. It is one of the key technologies for automated chip inspection in semiconductor manufacturing. When applying deep learning methods for chip pad inspection, the main problem to be solved is how to ensure the accuracy of small target pad detection and, at the same time, achieve a lightweight inspection model. The attention mechanism is widely used to improve the accuracy of small target detection by finding the attention region of the network. However, conventional attention mechanisms capture feature information locally, which makes it difficult to effectively improve the detection efficiency of small targets from complex backgrounds in target detection tasks. In this paper, an OCAM (Object Convolution Attention Module) attention module is proposed to build long-range dependencies between channel features and position features by constructing feature contextual relationships to enhance the correlation between features. By adding the OCAM attention module to the feature extraction layer of the YOLOv5 network, the detection performance of chip pads is effectively improved. In addition, a design guideline for the attention layer is proposed in the paper. The attention layer is adjusted by network scaling to avoid network characterization bottlenecks, balance network parameters, and network detection performance, and reduce the hardware device requirements for the improved YOLOv5 network in practical scenarios. Light field (LF) image depth estimation is a critical technique for LF-related applications such as 3D reconstruction, target detection, and tracking. The refocusing property of LF images provide rich information for depth estimations; however, it is still challenging in cases of occlusion regions, edge regions, noise interference, etc. The epipolar plane image (EPI) of LF can effectively deal with the depth estimation because of its characteristics of multidirectionality and pixel consistency—in which the LF depth estimations are converted to calculate the EPI slope. This paper proposed an EPI LF depth estimation algorithm based on a directional relationship model and attention mechanism. Unlike the subaperture LF depth estimation method, the proposed method takes EPIs as input images. Specifically, a directional relationship model was used to extract direction features of the horizontal and vertical EPIs, respectively. Then, a multiviewpoint attention mechanism combining channel attention and spatial attention is used to give more weight to the EPI slope information. Subsequently, multiple residual modules are used to eliminate the redundant features that interfere with the EPI slope information—in which a small stride convolution operation is used to avoid losing key EPI slope information. Visual simultaneous localization and mapping is a widely used technology for mobile robots to carry out precise positioning in the environment of GNSS technology failure. However, as the robot moves around indoors, its position accuracy will gradually decrease over time due to common and unavoidable environmental factors. In this paper, we propose an improved method called RTABMAP-VIWO, which is based on RTABMAP. The basic idea is to use an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) framework for fusion attitude estimates from the wheel odometry and IMU, and provide new prediction values. This helps to reduce the local cumulative error of RTABMAP and make it more accurate. We compare and evaluate three kinds of SLAM methods using both public datasets and real indoor scenes. In the dataset experiments, our proposed method reduces the Root-Mean-Square Error (RMSE) coefficient by 48.1% compared to the RTABMAP, and the coefficient is also reduced by at least 29.4% in the real environment experiments. Subway vehicle roofs must be inspected when entering and exiting the depot to ensure safe subway vehicle operations. This paper presents an improved method for detecting foreign objects on subway vehicle roofs based on the YOLOv7 algorithm. First, we capture images of foreign objects using a line-scan camera at the depot entrance and exit, creating a dataset of foreign roof objects. Subsequently, we address the shortcomings of the YOLOv7 algorithm by introducing the Ghost module, an improved weighted bidirectional feature pyramid network (WBiFPN), and the Wise intersection over union (WIoU) bounding-box regression loss function. These enhancements are incorporated to build the subway vehicle roof foreign object detection model based on the improved YOLOv7, which we refer to as YOLOv7-GBW. The experimental results demonstrate the practicality and usability of the proposed method. The analysis of the experimental results indicates that the YOLOv7-GBW algorithm achieves a detection accuracy of 90.29% at a speed of 54.3 frames per second (fps) with a parameter count of 15.51 million. The improved YOLOv7 model outperforms mainstream detection algorithms in terms of detection accuracy, speed, and parameter count. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs), integral components underpinning the infrastructure of the internet of things (IoT), confront escalating threats originating from attempts at malicious jamming. Nevertheless, the limited nature of the hardware resources in distributed, low-cost WSNs, such as those for computing power and storage, poses a challenge when implementing complex and intelligent anti-jamming algorithms like deep reinforcement learning (DRL). Hence, in this paper a rapid anti-jamming method is proposed based on imitation learning in order to address this issue. First, on-network nodes obtain expert anti-jamming trajectories using heuristic algorithms, taking historical experiences into account. Second, an RNN neural network that can be used for anti-jamming decision making is trained by mimicking these expert trajectories. Finally, the late-access network nodes receive anti-jamming network parameters from the existing nodes, allowing them to obtain a policy network directly applicable to anti-jamming decision making and thus avoiding redundant learning. Experimental results demonstrate that, compared with traditional Q-learning and random frequency-hopping (RFH) algorithms, the imitation learning-based algorithm empowers late-access network nodes to swiftly acquire anti-jamming strategies that perform on par with expert strategies. In the realm of aviation, trajectory data play a crucial role in determining the target's flight intentions and guaranteeing flight safety. However, the data collection process can be hindered by noise or signal interruptions, thus diminishing the precision of the data. This paper uses the bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) model to solve the problem by masking the high-precision automatic dependent survey broadcast (ADS-B) trajectory data and estimating the mask position value based on the front and rear trajectory points during BERT model training. Through this process, the model acquires knowledge of intricate motion patterns within the trajectory data and acquires the BERT pre-training Model. Afterwards, a refined particle filter algorithm is utilized to generate alternative trajectory sets for observation trajectory data that is prone to noise. Ultimately, the BERT trajectory pre-training model is supplied with the alternative trajectory set, and the optimal trajectory is determined by computing the maximum posterior probability. Environmental effects may lead to cracking, stiffness loss, brace damage, and other damages in bridges, frame structures, buildings, etc. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) technology could prevent catastrophic events by detecting damage early. In recent years, Deep Learning (DL) has developed rapidly and has been applied to SHM to detect, localize, and evaluate diverse damages through efficient feature extraction. This paper analyzes 337 articles through a systematic literature review to investigate the application of DL for SHM in the operation and maintenance phase of facilities from three perspectives: data, DL algorithms, and applications. Firstly, the data types in SHM and the corresponding collection methods are summarized and analyzed. The most common data types are vibration signals and images, accounting for 80% of the literature studied. Secondly, the popular DL algorithm types and application areas are reviewed, of which CNN accounts for 60%. Then, this article carefully analyzes the specific functions of DL application for SHM based on the facility's characteristics. The most scrutinized study focused on cracks, accounting for 30 percent of research papers. Finally, challenges and trends in applying DL for SHM are discussed. This paper proposes a multimodal fusion 3D target detection algorithm based on the attention mechanism to improve the performance of 3D target detection. The algorithm utilizes point cloud data and information from the camera. For image feature extraction, the ResNet50 + FPN architecture extracts features at four levels. Point cloud feature extraction employs the voxel method and FCN to extract point and voxel features. The fusion of image and point cloud features is achieved through regional point fusion and voxel fusion methods. After information fusion, the Coordinate and SimAM attention mechanisms extract fusion features at a deep level. The algorithm's performance is evaluated using the DAIR-V2X dataset. The results show that compared to the Part-A2 algorithm; the proposed algorithm improves the mAP value by 7.9% in the BEV view and 7.8% in the 3D view at IOU = 0.5 (cars) and IOU = 0.25 (pedestrians and cyclists). To meet the real-time path planning requirements of intelligent vehicles in dynamic traffic scenarios, a path planning and evaluation method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, based on the B-spline algorithm and four-stage lane-changing theory, an obstacle avoidance path planning algorithm framework is constructed. Then, to obtain the optimal real-time path, a comprehensive real-time path evaluation mechanism that includes path safety, smoothness, and comfort is established. Finally, to verify the proposed approach, co-simulation and real vehicle testing are conducted. In the dynamic obstacle avoidance scenario simulation, the lateral acceleration, yaw angle, yaw rate, and roll angle fluctuation ranges of the ego-vehicle are ± 2.39 m/s2, ± 13.31°, ± 13.26°/s, and ± 0.938°, respectively. By the end of the 2020s, full autonomy in autonomous driving may become commercially viable in certain regions. However, achieving Level 5 autonomy requires crucial collaborations between vehicles and infrastructure, necessitating high-speed data processing and low-latency capabilities. This paper introduces a vehicle tracking algorithm based on roadside LiDAR (light detection and ranging) infrastructure to reduce the latency to 100 ms without compromising the detection accuracy. We first develop a vehicle detection architecture based on ResNet18 that can more effectively detect vehicles at a full frame rate by improving the BEV mapping and the loss function of the optimizer. Then, we propose a new three-stage vehicle tracking algorithm. This algorithm enhances the Hungarian algorithm to better match objects detected in consecutive frames, while time–space logicality and trajectory similarity are proposed to address the short-term occlusion problem. Finally, the system is tested on static scenes in the KITTI dataset and the MATLAB/Simulink simulation dataset. The results show that the proposed framework outperforms other methods, with F1-scores of 96.97% and 98.58% for vehicle detection for the KITTI and MATLAB/Simulink datasets, respectively. For vehicle tracking, the MOTA are 88.12% and 90.56%, and the ID-F1 are 95.16% and 96.43%, which are better optimized than the traditional Hungarian algorithm. Outliers can be generated in the power system due to aging system equipment, faulty sensors, incorrect line connections, etc. The existence of these outliers will pose a threat to the safe operation of the power system, reduce the quality of the data, affect the completeness and accuracy of the data, and thus affect the monitoring analysis and control of the power system. Therefore, timely identification and treatment of outliers are essential to ensure stable and reliable operation of the power system. In this paper, we consider the problem of detecting and localizing outliers in power systems. The paper proposes a Minorization–Maximization (MM) algorithm for outlier detection and localization and an estimation of unknown parameters of the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). To verify the performance of the method, we conduct simulation experiments by simulating different test scenarios in the IEEE 14-bus system. Numerical examples show that in the presence of outliers, the MM algorithm can detect outliers better than the traditional algorithm and can accurately locate outliers with a probability of more than 95 % . Friction is an inherent nonlinear disturbance that can lead to creeping, jitter, and decreased tracking precision in an electro-hydraulic servo system. In this paper, the LuGre friction model is used to describe the dynamic and static characteristics of the friction force of a servo system comprehensively. Accurate identification of model parameters is key to implementing friction compensation. However, traditional genetic identification algorithms have the shortcomings of a premature solution, slow convergence, and poor accuracy. To address these shortcomings, this paper proposes an improved adaptive genetic identification algorithm. The proposed algorithm selects evolutionary processes adaptively according to the population concentration in the initial stage of population evolution. Moreover, it adjusts the crossover probability and the mutation probability to identify a local optimum accurately and converge to the global optimum rapidly. During the late stage of population evolution, the accuracy of the global optimal solution can be improved by reducing the search range of identification parameters. The simulation results show that the relative error of the model parameter values identified by the proposed algorithm is reduced to less than 1% and the convergence speed is faster. Compared with the existing traditional genetic algorithm and adaptive genetic algorithm, the overall performance of the proposed method is better. Safety helmet wearing plays a major role in protecting the safety of workers in industry and construction, so a real-time helmet wearing detection technology is very necessary. This paper proposes an improved YOLOv4 algorithm to achieve real-time and efficient safety helmet wearing detection. The improved YOLOv4 algorithm adopts a lightweight network PP-LCNet as the backbone network and uses deepwise separable convolution to decrease the model parameters. Besides, the coordinate attention mechanism module is embedded in the three output feature layers of the backbone network to enhance the feature information, and an improved feature fusion structure is designed to fuse the target information. In terms of the loss function, we use a new SIoU loss function that fuses directional information to increase detection precision. The experimental findings demonstrate that the improved YOLOv4 algorithm achieves an accuracy of 92.98%, a model size of 41.88 M, and a detection speed of 43.23 pictures/s. Compared with the original YOLOv4, the accuracy increases by 0.52%, the model size decreases by about 83%, and the detection speed increases by 88%. The accuracy of insulators and their defect identification by UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) in transmission-line inspection needs to be further improved, and the model size of the detection algorithm is significantly reduced to make it more suitable for edge-end deployment. In this paper, the algorithm uses a lightweight GhostNet module to reconstruct the backbone feature extraction network of the YOLOv4 model and employs depthwise separable convolution in the feature fusion layer. The model is lighter on the premise of ensuring the effect of image information extraction. Meanwhile, the ECA-Net channel attention mechanism is embedded into the feature extraction layer and PANet (Path Aggregation Network) to improve the recognition accuracy of the model for small targets. The experimental results show that the size of the improved model is reduced from 244 MB to 42 MB, which is only 17.3% of the original model. At the same time, the mAp of the improved model is 0.77% higher than that of the original model, reaching 95.4%. Moreover, the mAP compared with YOLOv5-s and YOLOX-s, respectively, is improved by 1.98% and 1.29%. In view of the fact that the aerial images of UAVs are usually taken from a top-down perspective, there are large changes in spatial resolution and small targets to be detected, and the detection method of natural scenes is not effective in detecting under the arbitrary arrangement of remote sensing image direction, which is difficult to apply to the detection demand scenario of road technology status assessment, this paper proposes a lightweight network architecture algorithm based on MobileNetv3-YOLOv5s (MR-YOLO). First, the MobileNetv3 structure is introduced to replace part of the backbone network of YOLOv5s for feature extraction so as to reduce the network model size and computation and improve the detection speed of the target; meanwhile, the CSPNet cross-stage local network is introduced to ensure the accuracy while reducing the computation. The focal loss function is improved to improve the localization accuracy while increasing the speed of the bounding box regression. Finally, by improving the YOLOv5 target detection network from the prior frame design and the bounding box regression formula, the rotation angle method is added to make it suitable for the detection demand scenario of road technology status assessment. After a large number of algorithm comparisons and data ablation experiments, the feasibility of the algorithm was verified on the Xinjiang Altay highway dataset, and the accuracy of the MR-YOLO algorithm was as high as 91.1%, the average accuracy was as high as 92.4%, and the detection speed reached 96.8 FPS. Compared with YOLOv5s, the p-value and mAP values of the proposed algorithm were effectively improved. Then, aiming at the problems of complex controller structure and difficult parameter tuning in multiple modes of the GCCD, this paper proposes a controller parameter optimization method based on improved Month Flame optimization (IMFO) algorithm. This method improves the MFO algorithm by introducing good point set (GPS) initialization and Levy flight strategy, which accelerates the convergence speed of the algorithm while avoiding falling into local optimization, and realizes the optimization of converter controller parameters. Under a variety of standard test functions, the advantages of the proposed IMFO algorithm are verified by comparing it with the traditional algorithm. Finally, in order to realize the automatic tuning of control parameters, the Python–PSCAD joint simulation method is studied and implemented. Taking the comprehensive integral of time and absolute error (CITAE) index as the objective function, the parameters of the sliding mode controller are optimized. Most of the traditional image feature point extraction and matching methods are based on a series of light properties of images. These light properties easily conflict with the distinguishability of the image features. The traditional light imaging methods focus only on a fixed depth of the target scene, and subjects at other depths are often easily blurred. This makes the traditional image feature point extraction and matching methods suffer from a low accuracy and a poor robustness. Therefore, in this paper, a light field camera is used as a sensor to acquire image data and to generate a full-focus image with the help of the rich depth information inherent in the original image of the light field. The traditional ORB feature point extraction and matching algorithm is enhanced with the goal of improving the number and accuracy of the feature point extraction for the light field full-focus images. The results show that the improved ORB algorithm extracts not only most of the features in the target scene but also covers the edge part of the image to a greater extent and produces extracted feature points which are evenly distributed for the light field full-focus image. Moreover, the extracted feature points are not repeated in a large number in a certain part of the image, eliminating the aggregation phenomenon that exists in traditional ORB algorithms. Operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) are critical to sensor systems because they enable precise, reliable, and flexible signal processing. Current automated Op-Amp generation methods suffer from extremely low efficiency because the time-consuming SPICE-in-the-loop sizing is normally involved as its inner loop. In this paper, we propose an efficiently automated Op-Amp generation tool using a hybrid sizing method, which combines the merits together from a deterministic optimization algorithm and differential evolution algorithm. Thus, it can not only quickly find a decent local optimum, but also eventually converge to a global optimum. This feature is well fit to be serving as an acute filter in the circuit structure evaluation flow to efficiently eliminate any undesirable circuit structures in advance of detailed sizing. Our experimental results demonstrate its superiority over traditional sizing approaches and show its efficacy in highly boosting the efficiency of automated Op-Amp structure generation. Fixed-wing UAVs have shown great potential in both military and civilian applications. However, achieving safe and collision-free flight in complex obstacle environments is still a challenging problem. This paper proposed a hierarchical two-layer fixed-wing UAV motion planning algorithm based on a global planner and a local reinforcement learning (RL) planner in the presence of static obstacles and other UAVs. Considering the kinematic constraints, a global planner is designed to provide reference guidance for ego-UAV with respect to static obstacles. On this basis, a local RL planner is designed to accomplish kino-dynamic feasible and collision-free motion planning that incorporates dynamic obstacles within the sensing range. Finally, in the simulation training phase, a multi-stage, multi-scenario training strategy is adopted, and the simulation experimental results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is significantly better than that of the baseline method. Aiming at the problems of the poor robustness and universality of traditional contour matching algorithms in engineering applications, a method for improving the surface defect detection of industrial products based on contour matching algorithms is detailed in this paper. Based on the image pyramid optimization method, a three-level matching method is designed, which can quickly obtain the candidate pose of the target contour at the top of the image pyramid, combining the integral graph and the integration graph acceleration strategy based on weak classification. It can quickly obtain the rough positioning and rough angle of the target contour, which greatly improves the performance of the algorithm. In addition, to solve the problem that a large number of duplicate candidate points will be generated when the target candidate points are expanded, a method to obtain the optimal candidate points in the neighborhood of the target candidate points is designed, which can guarantee the matching accuracy and greatly reduce the calculation amount. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, functional test experiments were designed for template building function and contour matching function, including uniform illumination condition, nonlinear condition and contour matching detection under different conditions. The results show that: (1) Under uniform illumination conditions, the detection accuracy can be maintained at about 93%. (2) Under nonlinear illumination conditions, the detection accuracy can be maintained at about 91.84%. (3) When there is an external interference source, there will be a false detection or no detection, and the overall defect detection rate remains above 94%. It is verified that the proposed method can meet the application requirements of common defect detection, and has good robustness and meets the expected functional requirements of the algorithm, providing a strong technical guarantee and data support for the design of embedded image sensors in the later stage.
