Lupinus bicolor Lindl. and Lotus purshianus (Benth.) Clem. & Clem. plants growing on copper mine waste in northern California exhibited considerably greater copper tolerance at 0.2 mg copper l-1 in nutrient solution than plants from an adjacent meadow.
