The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), and Analytic Network Process (ANP) methods are widely used for decision-making across various fields, and have shown success in numerous applications within human resource management (HRM). The purpose of this study is to present a systematic literature review on the applications of AHP, FAHP, and ANP in human resource management. The search process encompassed two main online databases, Scopus and Web of Science. This research covers a total of 180 application papers. To help readers extract quick and meaningful information, references are summarized in tabular format. The results showed that these methods have been applied in various domains of HRM such as performance management and appraisal, selecting human resources, talent attraction and retention, intellectual capital, workplace safety, reward management, e-HRM, green HRM, etc. To the best of our knowledge, no comprehensive research review has yet been conducted on the applications of AHP in HRM. Systematic and comprehensive understanding of stakeholder relationships is the key component for achieving social sustainability of brownfield regeneration (BR), which has not been recognized by existing researches. Based on the widely acknowledged idea of social networks, this paper proposes a systematic research framework for the analysis of stakeholder relationships, with a focus on the dynamic and networked nature of relationships. The relationship network of stakeholders in BR is considered from three aspects: identifying the stakeholders and relationships among them, quantifying stakeholder relationships, and analyzing relationships network structure. The proposed stakeholder relationships analysis framework uses empirical methods (i.e., interviews and surveys), rationalistic methods (i.e., fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and social network analysis (SNA)) to analyze stakeholder relationships. To demonstrate the usability of the proposed framework, we apply it to the BR in China. The results show that: (1) it is feasible to mine the relationships of stakeholders from the social network perspective; (2) from the individual network aspect, the government, developers, government are at the core of the network with the highest network centrality during the recycling and contamination treatment stage, the construction stage and the use stage, respectively; (3) from the local network aspect, different cohesive subgroups with strong linkages are formed throughout the life cycle of BR; (4) from the overall network aspect, the highest density of the use stage means that there is good cohesion among stakeholders at this stage; the centralization of the construction stage is the highest, indicating that the stakeholders have relatively concentrated network power and loose relationships. The paper puts forward suggestions for improving the network structure of stakeholder relationships, including strengthening the network relationship between the government and environmental non-government organizations (ENGOs), improving the monitoring efficiency and network status of news media, establishing a construction consulting platform that effectively serves the public and end-users, forming the alliances among end-users, the public and ENGOs and enhancing the relationship network stability. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), thus it is pursues to improve their performance to stay in the global competitive markets through adopting an efficient manufacturing systems, one of them is lean production (LP). LP is a continuous improvement philosophy that based on using various lean activities to improve enterprise performance by eliminating various type of waste. In this paper, a Lean Level Assessment Methodology is proposed which integrated Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) to identify level of importance of lean activities and assess the level of SMEs leanness concerning five dimensions of lean activities. SMEs lean activities have surveyed through a comprehensive literature review, where twenty six lean activities have identified as the most common SMEs activities that classifying into five lean dimensions. A questionnaire was developed to collect data related to the levels of adoption of these lean activities by SMEs using a triple Likert scale. EFA was used to extract the most influencing lean activities on SMEs leanness based on questionnaire data. FAHP was used to determine the weights and the level of importance of these lean activities, while FTOPSIS was employed to investigate and assess the level of SMEs' leanness related to the five lean dimensions activities. The proposed methodology has applied in four Iraqi SMEs (A1, A2, A3, and A4) for producing healthy water and soft drink in Baghdad. The results have explained that only 19 lean activities are the most influencing on SMEs leanness. Efficient manager is an important lean activity that has 58.90% level of importance. Although the four Iraqi SMEs have approximately acceptable level of leanness related the five lean dimensions, there is variation in adoption these lean dimensions activities by SMEs. SMEs management should develop a continuous improvement strategy based on utilizing SMEs' efforts and resources to improve activities of the weaker dimension for improving their competitiveness and ensuring sustainability in the rapidly changing business environment. The selection of the optimal equipment for discontinuous haulage systems is one of the most important decisions that need to be made when an open-pit mine is designed. There are a number of influencing factors, including natural (geological and environmental), technical, economic, and social. Some of them can be expressed numerically, in certain units of measure, while others are descriptive and can be stated by linguistic variables depending on the circumstances of the project. These factors are characterized by a high level of uncertainty, associated with both exploration and mining operations. The experience, knowledge, and expert judgment of engineers and specialists are of key importance for the management of mining processes, consistent with the issues stemming from the dynamic expansion of open-pit mines in space over time. This paper proposes an integrated model that translates all the criteria that affect the selection of the optimal solution into linguistic variables. By employing the multiple-criteria decision-making method and combining it with fuzzy logic, we developed an algorithm that addresses all the above-mentioned uncertainties inherent in various mining processes where the experience of experts forms the basis. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used in order to deal with trending decision problems, such as mining equipment and management system selection. This paper aims to develop an integrated Quality–Cost–Environmental (QCE) indicator for the selection of photovoltaic panels (PVps) offered to customers, considering the following criteria: (i) quality satisfaction; (ii) cost-effectiveness; and (iii) environmental impact throughout the life cycle. The proposed QCE indicator was developed within a framework that incorporated an FAHP (Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process), cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA), and life cycle assessment (LCA). The model test confirmed its effectiveness in choosing a PVp which combines environmental friendliness throughout its entire life cycle with satisfactory quality and a reasonable purchase price for customers. The vulnerability of coastal regions to climate change is a growing global concern, particularly in Bangladesh, which is vulnerable to flooding and storm surges due to its low-lying coastal areas. In this study, we used the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) method to assess the physical and social vulnerability of the entire coastal areas of Bangladesh, using 10 critical factors to evaluate the coastal vulnerability model (CVM). Our analysis indicates that a significant portion of the coastal regions of Bangladesh is vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. We found that one-third of the study area, encompassing around 13,000 km2, was classified as having high or very high coastal vulnerability. Districts in the central delta region, such as Barguna, Bhola, Noakhali, Patuakhali, and Pirojpur, were found to have high to very high physical vulnerability. Meanwhile, the southern parts of the study area were identified as highly socially vulnerable. Our findings also showed that the coastal areas of Patuakhali, Bhola, Barguna, Satkhira, and Bagerhat were particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The coastal vulnerability map we developed using the FAHP method showed satisfactory modeling, with an AUC of 0.875. By addressing the physical and social vulnerability factors identified in our study, policymakers can take proactive steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of coastal residents in the face of climate change. This study addresses the growing anxiety and depression among Chinese university students by evaluating and ranking music education strategies to alleviate these issues. We integrates Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). FAHP was utilized to determine the weight of factors such as academic pressures, social relationships, and cultural norms, while fuzzy TOPSIS ranked the effectiveness of music education interventions based on these weights. The results revealed that 'Mental health stigma' and 'Academic Pressures and Rigidity' are among the highest weighted factors, significantly impacting student anxiety. 'Music Appreciation and Music-Based Self-Care' emerged as the most effective strategy. Assessing the sustainability of material-based products now encompasses social sustainability, a vital aspect often overlooked. Even though the existing frameworks provide a starting point, they do not often differentiate between the assessment criteria when making comparisons within one specific material category, which has made sustainability assessments more focused on environmental and economic aspects. This study addresses this critical gap by pioneering a social assessment framework curated to help practitioners to choose the most sustainable cement type out of the standard cement types used in the industry. Utilizing the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and linear-scoring method, criteria weights were systematically assigned based on scoring by industry and academic experts. The findings highlight the importance of integrating social sustainability with environmental and economic factors in cement selection. Unlike traditional material selection, which primarily considers cost and performance, green material selection emphasizes the holistic impact of materials, including social factors. Variations in weightage decisions among experts highlight the influence of practical experience, research interests, and context. Functionality emerges as a crucial criterion. The ranking of cement types based on social scores places CEM II/B-M at the top, followed by CEM IV/A, CEM II/A-S, CEM II/A-V, CEM I, and CEM II/A-LL. The development and application of the industrial Internet platform (IIP) has brought enterprises huge benefits, such as improving the efficiency of resource management and equipment maintenance, achieving the precipitation and reuse of industrial knowledge, and enhancing the development ability of industrial APPs, etc. Therefore, in order to accelerate the application of the IIP, promote the digital transformation of enterprises, and enhance the application effect of the IIP, it is necessary to evaluate the application level and performance of the enterprise IIP. In this paper, taking the IIP in the power generation equipment industry as the research object, the background, architecture, and implementation process of the platform is described, and an evaluation method is proposed. First, a third-level evaluation index system is proposed via reference analysis and the Delphi method from four dimensions—platform basic condition, platform technology capability, platform application service capability, and platform input–output capability—and a total of sixty-five bottom indexes are designed in particular. Then, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm are used to determine the weights of indexes, where FAHP is used to construct a fuzzy judgment matrix and PSO is adopted to adjust the consistency of the fuzzy judgment matrix in the FAHP. Finally, through the weights of indexes and questionnaire scores, the evaluation results are obtained, and the application level and performance of the IIP in the power generation equipment industry is analyzed. Through analysis, the important indexes that have a significant influence on the evaluation are determined, and the weaknesses that need to be enhanced are also pointed out, which can guide enterprises to make targeted improvements on the IIP in the power generation equipment industry so as to ensure the sustainable development of the power generation equipment industry. Manufacturing companies face significant challenges due to rapid changes in globalized markets and open economies, which are experiencing mega-trends such as urbanization, globalization, and individualization. For sustainable growth, advanced technology is necessary. However, selecting technology is a difficult task due to the wide variety of options in the market. Technology has become a fundamental strategic factor for the growth and profitability of companies. The main objective of this paper is to propose a model and a methodological proposal for technology selection in the context of Industry 4.0 manufacturing. The proposed methodology is divided into three stages: The first stage is of knowledge and intervention, which allows for the socialization of the model and data collection. The second stage is the operational stage, where a hybrid method of FAHP and FANP is used to determine the weights of the factors considered. Lastly, the third stage is the analysis and evaluation stage, where the analysis, discussion, and evaluation of the results take place. To validate the proposed model, the methodology was applied to two case studies in Chilean industrial companies. The results obtained through the FAHP and FANP algorithms enabled decision makers to manage and select the most suitable technology from the wide variety of options available in today's markets. There has been a growing social commerce adoption trend among SMEs for few years. However, it is often a challenging strategic task for SMEs to choose the right type of social commerce. SMEs usually have a limited budget, technical skills and resources and want to maximise productivity with those limited resources. There is much literature that discusses the social commerce adoption strategy for SMEs. However, there is no work to enable SMEs to choose social commerce—onsite/offsite or hybrid strategy. Moreover, very few studies allow the decision-makers to handle uncertain, complex nonlinear relationships of social commerce adoption factors. The paper proposes a fuzzy linguistic multi-criteria group decision-making in a complex framework for onsite, offsite social commerce adoption to address the problem. The proposed approach uses a novel hybrid approach by combining FAHP, FOWA and selection criteria of the technological–organisation–environment (TOE) framework. Unlike previous methods, the proposed approach uses the decision maker's attitudinal characteristics and recommends intelligently using the OWA operator. The approach further demonstrates the decision behaviour of the decision-makers with Fuzzy Minimum (FMin), Fuzzy Maximum (FMax), Laplace criteria, Hurwicz criteria, FWA, FOWA and FPOWA. The framework enables the SMEs to choose the right type of social commerce considering TOE factors that help them build a stronger relationship with current and potential customers. The approach's applicability is demonstrated using a case study of three SMEs seeking to adopt a social commerce type. With the implementation of China's rural revitalization strategy, the construction of low-pollution villages has become an urgent demand for rural residents to achieve an ecologically livable environment. This paper aims to construct a new evaluation system for a "zero-pollution village" inspired by the principle of CASBEE. A village is regarded as a relatively independent ecosystem, and the evaluation system is designed to improve the "internal environmental quality Q" of a village while reducing the "external environmental load L". Thus, the evaluation system included two target strata (Q and L) and 3 layers comprising 6 criteria layers, 21 sub-criteria layers, and 76 indicators in the indicator layers. A new combined weight method based on FAHP-TOPSIS was presented to determine the weights of each layer of indicators. After verifying the evaluation system by applying it to 3 representative villages, 26 villages in Zhejiang Province were evaluated. These results indicate that the evaluation system was effective for evaluating the construction of a zero-pollution village. The current village environment in Zhejiang Province has been significantly improved; however, the vast majority of villages have not yet reached the zero-pollution standard. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The success of Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) largely depends on effective data dissemination among vehicles. In this context, VANETs can be a great help for Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) users travelling in a vehicle for prompt and reliable transfer of alert messages to the caregivers. This research paper aims to minimize the delay of alert message dissemination and maximize the packet delivery ratio and throughput of the network by applying priority scheduling of message transmission requests involving WBANs and hybrid VANETs. The proposed TRP mechanism involves Prioritization of the sensors, Collection of physiological data from sensors, Detection of abnormality and alert message generation, Priority Scheduling by the Road Side Unit (RSU) of the message transmission requests using multi-criteria decision making tools named as Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution and finally delivery of the alert message to its proper destination. Even though the RSU is stationary, mobility of a vehicle leads to reduced connection time between them. This results in a greater request drop rate, particularly at the overburdened RSUs. Thus, the proposed TRP considers request transfer among RSUs and enhances the quality of service by reducing deadline miss ratio and increasing success rate of request transfer ratio. At present, customers' low satisfaction and loyalty to city express service have restricted the development of city express. It is particularly important to analyze the factors causing customers' low satisfaction and loyalty, which will promote the development of city express industry effectively. Based on SERVQUAL model and CCSI model, this paper constructs a new evaluation index system from the perspective of service quality. Through this new system, this paper first explores the factors that affect customers' satisfaction and loyalty, respectively, by fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and hierarchical regression analysis, taking the expected and perceived service quality as conversion variables. And then it analyzes the common factors that affect customers' satisfaction and loyalty comprehensively. These two analyses will provide reference for solving the problem of low customer satisfaction and loyalty of city express enterprises. The results show that popularity and credibility, delivery time commitment, and mailing security are the common main factors affecting customer satisfaction and loyalty. Easy-to-understand receipts, the three-level index corresponding to the empathy dimension, is the most significant factor affecting customers' loyalty in city express industry; Delivery time commitment, the three-level index corresponding to the reliability dimension, is the most significant factor affecting customers' loyalty in city express industry. The capacitor bank and synchronous condenser have been the only available sources of reactive power. Nowadays, most of the appliances use a power electronic interface for their connection. Applying a power electronic interface addsmany features to these appliances. One of the promising features is their capability to interact with Volt-VAR programs. In this paper was investigated the reactive power interaction of the end-user appliances. For this purpose, the distribution network buses are ranked based on their effectiveness, followed by studying their interaction in the Volt-VAR program. In response to the global demand for sustainable development in urban areas, there is an urgent need to enhance the ecological environment of urban areas. Urban renewal through sponge cities has become an effective method for achieving this goal. As one of the most dynamic elements in urban spaces, manhole covers play a crucial role in enhancing the city's image. To facilitate urban redevelopment effectively, improve the functionality of urban manhole covers, and promote sustainable urban development, this study explores ecological design factors for urban manhole covers, providing recommendations for future designs in China. Grounded on existing literature research and the urban redevelopment planning of the central district in Maanshan City, the FAHP method was used to determine the weights of five indicators containing environmental esthetics, ecological sustainability, intelligent detection, intelligent interaction, and safety, and scientifically constructed the ecological design and evaluation index system of intelligent grass pot manhole cover. The weighted average algorithm was used to obtain the index priority ranking, and the most critical elements were selected for design and refinement. The evaluation results indicate that safety, ecological sustainability, and the enhancement of the ecological design of intelligent manhole covers show the most significant improvement. With the rapid development of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc., data centers have become a flexible load due to their adjustable capabilities and are able to take on power service. However, the existing communication architecture is monolithic and poorly adapted between services and communications, which poses a challenge for data centers to participate in power service. Firstly, this article constructs a multi-domain communication architecture for data center management systems that includes local and remote communication, and analyzes the key technologies supporting this architecture. Secondly, based on differentiated service types and communication requirements, an evaluation system for the adaptability between service and communication technology was constructed, and a communication mode adaptation method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP)-improved CRITIC combined weighting model and grey Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) was proposed to achieve the analysis of the adaptability between differentiated service and multi-domain communication technology. According to the analysis of examples, the architecture and adaptation algorithm proposed in this article provide an effective theoretical basis and solution for the selection of multi-domain communication technologies for data center management system service. Purpose: The main aim of this study is to identify and prioritize the factors that influence the adoption of big data analytics (BDA) within the supply chain (SC) of the food industry in India. Design/methodology/approach: The study is carried out in two distinct phases. In the first phase, barriers hindering BDA adoption in the Indian food industry are identified. Subsequently, the second phase rates/prioritizes these barriers using multicriteria methodologies such as the "analytical hierarchical process" (AHP) and the "fuzzy analytical hierarchical process" (FAHP). Fifteen barriers have been identified, collectively influencing the BDA adoption in the SC of the Indian food industry. Findings: The findings suggest that the lack of data security, availability of skilled IT professionals, and uncertainty about return on investments (ROI) are the top three apprehensions of the consultants and managers regarding the BDA adoption in the Indian food industry SC. Research limitations/implications: This research has identified several reasons for the adoption of bigdata analytics in the supply chain management of foods in India. This study has also highlighted that big data analytics applications need specific skillsets, and there is a shortage of critical skills in this industry. Therefore, the technical skills of the employees need to be enhanced by their organizations. Also, utilizing similar services offered by other external agencies could help organizations potentially save time and resources for their in-house teams with a faster turnaround. Originality/value: The present study will provide vital information to companies regarding roadblocks in BDA adoption in the Indian food industry SC and motivate academicians to explore this area further. The challenges resulting from rapid economic growth, urbanization, and increased motorization in developing nations necessitate a comprehensive and sustainable approach to urban public transport planning. While sustainable urban public transport (SUPT) planning offers a solution, the complexity of choosing suitable policy measure options remains a challenge. This study first introduces a decision support framework (DSF) that integrates the sustainable urban public transport manual (SUPTM) adopted for generating the potential SUPT policy measure options, the KonSULT knowledge base applied for providing the performance scores of each measure option for all determined criteria, and the HMADM (including FAHP, FSM, and TOPSIS) technique to create, rank, and select SUPT policy measure options tailored to medium-sized urban areas in developing nations. A case study of Khon Kaen City, Thailand, illustrates the practical application of the framework, resulting in a set of 31 (91.2%) out of the total of 34 ranked policy measure options. Comparing these prioritizations with the city's existing plan reveals a substantial agreement, which suggests the potential applicability of the DSF. Overall, the DSF marks a significant advancement in SUPT planning, which is crucial for shaping efficient, equitable, and environmentally conscious urban mobility in developing countries, which are undergoing transformative change. E-learning platforms (ELPs) are revolutionizing the higher education system, as they offer tremendous potential to fulfill instructional plans, safeguard students' learning rights, and improve teaching quality. Higher education institutions (HEIs) have to consider the selection of ELPs from an organizational perspective, which involves multiple stakeholders like university administrators, students, and educators. Therefore, one can take the ELP selection as a complex multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. This research proposes a new hybrid MCDM approach on the basis of the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and the evaluation based on distance from the average solution (EDAS) method to select the best ELPs. First, from the organizational perspective, we extend the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework by adding an auxiliary resource (AR) dimension and define and prioritize 4 criteria and 14 criteria for evaluating and selecting ELPs. Second, the study uses the fuzzy set theory to process the language evaluation of experts, the FAHP method to determine criteria and sub-criteria weights, and EDAS to rank the alternatives. Finally, based on the importance-performance analysis (IPA) method, we identify the most appropriate strategic options for enhancing competitiveness. Three practical cases of China's ELP evaluation validate the proposed model's applicability and superiority by comparing to the two other classic evaluation models. In addition, through analysis, we obtain some encouraging results that provide some references for universities to formulate ELP selection policies and offer suggestions for platform producers to further optimize the design. To select a better browser, in this paper a hybrid multi-criteria decision making model is proposed by integrating grey relational analysis (GRA) and fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP). The capacitor bank and synchronous condenser have been the only available sources of reactive power. Nowadays, most of the appliances use a power electronic interface for their connection. Applying a power electronic interface adds many features to these appliances. One of the promising features is their capability to interact with Volt-VAR programs. In this paper was investigated the reactive power interaction of the end-user appliances. For this purpose, the distribution network buses are ranked based on their effectiveness, followed by studying their interaction in the Volt-VAR program. To be able to consider the uncertainties, Probability Density Function (PDF) curve was discretized to represent different scenarios, and the reduction method was utilized to reduce the situations. Purpose: Implementing food safety measures (FSMs) have become a prerequisite for food firms looking to export internationally. Many exporters find it difficult to comply with multiple regulations, and their consignments are often rejected at borders due to food safety concerns. Hence, harmonization in food safety standards is arguably the most contentious topic regarding the export market since it affects international trade. Accordingly, the paper uses the case of Indian seafood exporters to identify key FSMs, investigate stringency associated with them and rank international markets based on degree of stringency for selected FSMs. Design/methodology/approach: First, the authors identify the key FSMs by using the Delphi method. Then, the authors apply the Fuzzy analytical hierarchical process (FAHP) method to calculate weights of the FSMs as criteria. Lastly, the authors apply the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) approach to rank markets. To compute fuzzy TOPSIS, weights are derived from fuzzy AHP. Findings: This study's findings suggest that product and process standards, traceability requirements and tolerance limits for residues are the most stringent FSMs, among others. Besides, the overall ranking of markets reveal that the European Union (EU), the USA and Japan ranked lowest and perceived to have the most stringent food safety requirements. Originality/value: The paper offers guidance to firms and policymakers to manage their efforts and resources during food safety implementation by focussing on critical FSMs. Researchers will get insights about FSMs for further empirical investigation. Gynecobstetrics departments (GDs) oversee diagnosing, monitoring, and treating female reproductive diseases as well as assisting women during pregnancy. Their importance motivates the creation of suitable performance evaluation approaches for identifying weaknesses and designing focused interventions. Therefore, the aim of this paper is twofold: (a) provide an approach for GD performance evaluation and (b) propose interventions tackling the GDs' weaknesses. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was first applied to calculate the initial criteria and subcriteria weights under vagueness. Then, the decision‐making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) was implemented to evaluate interrelations. FAHP and DEMATEL were later combined to estimate the final criteria and subcriteria weights under vagueness and interdependency. Finally, the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) was used to rank the GDs and detect improvement opportunities. A case study of a cluster including three GDs is presented to validate the proposed approach. The results evidenced that patient safety and service quality are the most critical aspects in GD performance evaluation. The results from this application can be used by healthcare managers for designing focused interventions targeting improved performance of GDs. This paper fully exploits the advantages of FAHP, DEMATEL, and TOPSIS methods for evaluating performances of GDs. Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is a systematic approach that focuses on evaluating critical disturbances in a system. However, traditional FMEA has its own drawbacks, such as invalid computations and ambiguous priority definitions, which lead to many constraints in the application of complex production processes, especially in job shops with various resources. Therefore, this paper proposes an analytic disturbance prediction method for job shop with multiple resources and multiple evaluation indexes, which combines the vector computing techniques, FMEA, and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). In contrast to other work, this paper focuses on the establishment of FMEA mathematical model to improve the readability of multi-resource disturbance risk results. To this end, the projection of the disturbance vector is visualized to reduce repeated calculation results, triangles and trapezoids are used as membership functions to improve the accuracy of weight, and the differentiation index is used to reduce the ambiguity of priorities. This research addresses the problem of restaurant locations ranking with applications for a cosmopolitan big city like Kolkata, India. A restaurant selection is based on occasions, spending capability, environment, location, comfort, quality of the food etc. In this research paper an exhaustive set of factors and sub-factors is taken into consideration to select and rank restaurants situated at different locations in the city of Kolkata with a population of around fifteen million. The ranking of restaurants depends on complex, conflicting qualitative attributes. In the paper hexagonal fuzzy numbers (HFN) have been used to suitably depict the imprecise uncertain environment. HFN, its distance measure and defuzzification have been applied to deal with the hesitancy and impreciseness of the decision makers. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been used as a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) tool to obtain factors and sub-factors weights. TOPSIS and COPRAS methods were used for ranking different restaurant locations. Using comparative analysis it is shown that HFN with the TOPSIS and COPRAS method gives better result than other fuzzy numbers. This paper aims to examine the main practices that shape sustainable port development in the context of Korean ports and generalize a typology of port–stakeholder decision framework for sustainable port development. First, the main practices of sustainable port development were examined through a comprehensive literature review and a holistic conceptual framework underpinned by sustainable development and stakeholder management theories. Semi-structured interviews were then conducted with 67 port managers in Korea. Lastly, FAHP was performed based on inputs from 18 port managers to analyze the priorities of the proposed sustainable port development practices. It was found that all proposed practices should be used for evaluating sustainable port development. It was also indicated that Optimized Operation Planning is the most important factor while Internal Environment Management is the least important factor perceived by Korean port managers. A typology of port–stakeholder framework for sustainable development was also generalized to assist port managers in making phased investment decisions. This research contributes to theory building by empirically identifying and validating the sustainable port development practices considering all three aspects of sustainability. The aim of the paper is to determine the risk level of a contract extension with the existing policyholders, which is further propagated to the business effectiveness and long-term sustainability of the company. The uncertainties in the relative importance of risk factors, their values, and risk levels are described by the linguistic forms, which are modeled by using the fuzzy sets theory. The evaluations of the relative importance of risk factors are stated as a fuzzy group decision-making problem. The weights of risk factors are obtained by using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. The determination of production rules for the assessment of the risk level is based on fuzzy IF-THAN rules. The existingmultipath routing in Software Defined Network (SDN) is relatively blind and inefficient, and there is a lack of cooperation between the terminal and network sides, making it difficult to achieve dynamic adaptation of service requirements and network resources. To address these issues, we propose a multi-constraint path optimization scheme based on information fusion in SDN. The proposed scheme collects network topology and network state information on the network side and computes disjoint paths between end hosts. It uses the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to calculate the weight coefficients of multiple constrained parameters and constructs a composite quality evaluation function for the paths to determine the priority of the disjoint paths. The SDN controller extracts the service attributes by analyzing the packet header and selects the optimal path for flow rule forwarding. Furthermore, the service attributes are fed back to the path composite quality evaluation function, and the path priority is dynamically adjusted to achieve dynamic adaptation between service requirements and network status. By continuously monitoring and analyzing the service attributes, the scheme can ensure optimal routing decisions in response to varying network conditions and evolving service demands. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed scheme can effectively improve average throughput and link utilization while meeting the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of various applications. Purpose: Hospital structures serve to protect and improve public health; however, they are recognized as a major source of environmental degradation. Thus, an effective performance evaluation framework is required to improve hospital sustainability. In this context, this study presents a holistic methodology that integrates the sustainability balanced scorecard (SBSC) with fuzzy Delphi method and fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making approaches for evaluating the sustainability performance of hospitals. Design/methodology/approach: Initially, a comprehensive list of relevant sustainability evaluation criteria was considered based on six SBSC-based dimensions, in line with triple-bottom-line sustainability dimensions, and derived from the literature review and experts' opinions. Then, the weights of perspectives and their respective criteria are computed and ranked utilizing the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Subsequently, the hospitals' sustainable performance values are ranked based on these criteria using the Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution. Findings: A numerical application was conducted in six public hospitals to exhibit the proposed model's applicability. The results of this study revealed that "Patient satisfaction," "Efficiency," "Effectiveness," "Access to care" and "Waste production," respectively, are the five most important criteria of sustainable performance. Practical implications: The new model will provide decision-makers with management tools that may help them identify the relevant factors for upgrading the level of sustainability in their hospitals and thus improve public health and community well-being. Growing affluence and awareness of food-borne diseases have heightened demand for food safety standards (FSS), but supply side constraints continue to impede their implementation. As a developing country, it is not feasible to implement all strategies aimed at overcoming barriers and facilitating FSS implementation. Therefore, the study targets to identify and rank barriers to FSS implementation and prioritise strategies accordingly. An Indian seafood context is used for the study analysis. After reviewing relevant literature and utilizing Delphi techniques, twenty barriers and ten strategies were identified. The barriers are categorized into five main categories, and their weights are computed using fuzzy AHP. Subsequently, the fuzzy TOPSIS tool is applied to prioritize strategies based on their effectiveness in overcoming these barriers. Lastly, a sensitivity analysis is done to determine model robustness. Lack of commitment by managers, resistance from employees, and a lack of firm capacity are three key barriers. Small and Medium Enterprises SME play a crucial role in the global economy through their contribution in countries economy and creation of employment opportunities, and their success heavily relies on the implementation of efficient manufacturing systems like Lean Production(LP). LP is a continuous improvement philosophy based on various lean activities for improving enterprise lean performance. A fuzzy model that integration Fuzzy Consistency Algorithm (FCA) and Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) was proposed as a comprehensive framework to assess the levels of importance and priority of nineteen SME lean activities that categorized into the related five related lean dimensions. FCA was used to construct the fuzzy pairwise comparison matrix to ensure obtaining consistent experts judgment, whereas FAHP was applied to identify the level of importance and priority of lean activities. Identifying the level of importance of lean activities will be contributed in focuses SME efforts in the improvement process on the most important lean activities to ensure effective resource allocation and foster continuous improvement process and offer a practical tool for enhancing their competitiveness and sustainability. The proposed model was applied in Iraqi SME. The result showed that FCA is an efficient approach to construct a consistent judgment matrix. Efficient manger, Kaizen team, supplier relationship, execution customer suggestions and customer satisfaction job rotation are the most important lean activities with level of importance 58.90%, 21.30%, 49.80%, 38.50%, 41.20% respectively. Spring Outing Painting of Madam Guo is one of the representative works of Zhang Xuan, a famous Chinese court painter of the Tang dynasty (618–907), who was the "leader" of the trend of figure painting in the Tang dynasty and had a great influence on later figure painting. The costumes of the characters in the paintings not only show the artistic aesthetics of the prosperous Tang dynasty, but also reflect the rich cultural connotation. At present, the research on this painting is mainly about character discrimination and painting appreciation. There are few studies involving the costumes in this painting. With the rapid development of digital clothing technology, it provides a new way and path for the restoration of ancient costumes. Based on the costume archaeology of Spring Outing Painting of Madam Guo, this paper uses 3D virtual simulation and reverse engineering technology to restore the costume style of the characters in the picture, realize the digital restoration and protection of the style drawing, paper pattern, and 3D simulation drawing of the characters' costumes in the picture. Finally, we introduce the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) to comprehensively evaluate the costume restoration effect. Our proposed method solves the problem of the constraints of time and space on the presentation of ancient traditional costumes, promotes the excellent historical culture of China, and provides a certain reference for the modern redesign of ancient costumes. In today's competitive environment, industries are required to increase reliability and safety level of their equipment with reasonable cost. Consequently, it is essential to select the appropriate maintenance strategy. In the paper industry, pumping of cooked pulp requires abrasion- and sometimes corrosion-resistant pumps that are able to handle up to 70 % solids content. But the maintenance engineer and supervisor often face failures of the pump. Hence, this article describes the application of multi criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique for the selection of optimum maintenance strategy for pumps used in the paper industry. The proposed hybrid MCDM model comprises fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP), grey relational analysis (GRA), and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) technique. The FAHP is used to compute the criteria weights whereas GRA-TOPSIS is used for determining the ranking of alternatives. This study discusses four maintenance strategies: corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, time-based preventive maintenance, and condition-based maintenance. Knowing and developing the construction organizations' maturity level in risk management is critical to ensure they achieve their strategic objectives. This paper aims to design a new construction organizations' risk-management maturity model (C.ORM3) using new hybrid techniques and a distinct validation strategy based on global and local experience, to assess risk management maturity level in developing countries. A multi-steps methodology was adopted in this research. The study adopted an excessive systematic literature reviews of 22 previous articles on RM maturity and four standards and guidelines for eliciting model components. These components include five attributes with 26 capabilities; 24 capabilities identified from literature review and 2 from experts. These capabilities are evaluated against five levels: immature, ad-hoc, standard, managed, and optimized. The authors adopted a new strategy for validating the model by three groups of global and local experts and verifying the proposed model in a realistic-world case study. This study is the first to use a hybrid method based on the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation (FSE) techniques in evaluating RM maturity (RMM). Iraqi construction organizations validate the practicality of the model. The results showed that the overall RMM level of the Iraqi construction sector is 1.52, between immature and ad-hoc. The model has been converted into a computer template for ease of use by organizations. A precise evaluation of the actual situation is a significant aspect of making a correct and informed decision. Due to the bounded accuracy and elements of uncertainty in the data itself, a point estimate may be less adjusted and rough than an estimate based on fuzzy set theory. The stability of the Fuzzy AHP Arithmetic mean, Geometric mean, Extent analysis, and Lambda Max methods, widely used in practice, is verified. Three stages of verification are considered, investigating the impact of the following: (a) the scale applied; (b) methods of aggregation of the AHP matrices into the FAHP matrix; and (c) methods of combining several FAHP judgments. Slight changes in experts' estimates are programmatically simulated tens of thousands of times to track changes in ranking and deviations of results from the initial estimate. This continues the study of FAHP's stability due to the ambiguous results of such verification by the method of extent analysis. Purpose: The purpose of the present work is identification and prioritization of barriers to Lean Six Sigma (LSS) implementation in Indian manufacturing industries in the context of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) to surmount the impediments in the path of successful implementation. Design/methodology/approach: In total, 27 barriers identified through critical review of literature and expert's opinion are evaluated with Cronbach's alpha values including item-total correlations or corrected item-total correlations (CITC) using statistical tool. Finally, 20 barriers were analyzed and ranked employing Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP). Findings: The study depicts that "Lack of leadership, advisory and monitoring," "Lack of clarity about economic benefits" and "Lack of integration of LSS with smart tools/I4.0" are potential barriers to drive the path for proper implementation of LSS in Industry 4.0 with due consideration of its technologies in Indian manufacturing industries. Practical implications: The study provides better knowledge platform for academicians and researchers about hidden aspects of LSS implementation barriers in view of advanced manufacturing technologies. This research will help the practitioners to design their business plans in implementing new quality improvement tools to get advantage in current competitive environment. To enhance profitability of production cycle, any manufacturer needs effective product design and evaluation procedures. This study proposed a novel approach combining fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and multi-layer fuzzy inference system (MFIS). It is based on consumer online comments to improve product design. This method possesses several advantages over traditional design evaluation methods. It can quickly acquire consumer preferences, effectively handle multi-criteria decision problems and integrate uncertain and fuzzy information. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process–Multi-layer Fuzzy Inference System (FAHP-MFIS) involves the following steps: screening of factors, hierarchical modeling, quantification of qualitative factors, and conversion of these factors into quantitative values. It is a knowledge-based system that uses logical rules. The quantity and levels of input variables directly correlates with the quantity of logical rules. However, with multi-factor and multi-level inference, the establishment of a rule base becomes impractical due to the overwhelming number of rules. To address this issue, the Taguchi orthogonal table is applied to reduce the number of logical rules. Taking a household oxygen generator for medical devices as an example, the proposed model is applied in real-time. In the first stage, web crawlers are used to collect user reviews of the household oxygen generators on large e-commerce platforms. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) models are used to screen for principal and sub-factors in the second stage. Then, sub-factors of the FAHP screening are used as inputs, and the principal factors are used as outputs. In the third stage, priority indicators are established based on principal factors such as Appearance, Basic Function, and Advanced Function. Established evaluation models are then used to rank the selected designs. The results show that the higher the priority index value of the product design scheme, the better the scheme, and vice versa. This study holds significant reference value in aiding enterprises to enhance the efficiency of their manufacturing cycle and determining the direction of product design and innovation with improved pace and accuracy. BACKGROUND: Construction projects are one of the most critical occupational sectors that experienced many challenges in occupational accidents and safety performance. OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to assess safety risk in construction projects based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. METHODS: This study was conducted with 12 construction and occupational safety experts in one of the largest construction projects in Tehran-Iran in 2020. The process of this study included (1) risk identification, (2) measurement of risk parameters and sub-parameters, and (3) risk assessment based on a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Risk-forming parameters in this study included the probability and severity of the event. The probability of occurrence was estimated based on four sub-parameters of technical inspection, accident experience, detection probability, and human reliability. Sub-parameters of severity included human injury, cost imposition, tarnishing the organization's esteem, and impact on project timing and work stoppage. RESULTS: Twenty-eight identified hazards were examined in the studied construction project, including falling from a height (9-hazard), falling objects (2-hazard), electric shock (6-hazard), falling crane or load (6-hazard), elevator crashes (2-hazard), and soil fall (3-hazard). Safety risk assessment revealed that 27 risk sources were at the tolerable level and one risk source was unacceptable. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that the risk levels in the studied construction project were tolerable and unacceptable. The obtained model in this study demonstrated that using parameters that determine the probability and severity of risk according to the nature of the working environments can be a practical step in risk evaluating and implementing control measures. Sustainable and safe development is a key issue in petrochemical industry. However, many catastrophic accidents and irreversible environmental pollution have occurred in the petrochemical industry, most of which are caused by human behavior factor. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate and improve the sustainable safety performance of a petrochemical plant from the perspective of human behavior factors. Therefore, this study proposes an extended behavior-based safety (BBS) approach that combines the application of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) to assess sustainable safety performance of a petrochemical plant. The results show the importance of human behavior factors, and we should pay attention to the practical application of petrochemical industry. This research paper focuses on developing two hybrid decision-making methods, CODAS-FAHP and MOORA-FAHP, which may be used in assessing the usability of mHealth applications to monitor type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. The resulting analysis with the two hybrid models shows that the selection of mHealth applications can be done efficiently. People use mHealth applications to help manage and keep track of their health conditions more effectively. With the increase of mHealth applications, it has become more difficult to choose the best applications that are user-friendly and provide user satisfaction. The best techniques for any decision-making challenge are multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methodologies. However, traditional MCDM methods cannot provide accurate results in complex situations. Currently, researchers are focusing on the use of hybrid MCDM methods to provide accurate decisions for complex problems. Thus, the authors in this paper proposed two hybrid MCDM methods, CODAS-FAHP and MOORA-FAHP, to assess the usability of the five most familiar mHealth applications that focus on type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), based on ten criteria. The fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is applied for efficient weight estimation by removing the vagueness and ambiguity of expert judgment. The CODAS and MOORA MCDM methods are used to rank the mHealth applications, depending on the usability parameter, and to select the best application. Online shopping has gradually become an important way of consumption, and consumers are paying more and more attention to negative reviews. In order to avoid the massive amount of negative review information leading to loss of useful information, this paper proposes a method for evaluating the usefulness of negative online reviews. Firstly, the method constructs an evaluation index system for the usefulness of negative online reviews from three aspects: the form feature, text feature, and reviewer feature of negative reviews, and uses a combination weighting method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and entropy method to determine the weight of each index. Secondly, the usefulness ranking results of negative online reviews are obtained through the improved TOPSIS method based on the combined weighting method. Finally, the empirical analysis of the proposed model is carried out by crawling the negative online reviews of JD.com Fresh Food platform, and the improved model is compared with the traditional TOPSIS model, which proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the model. In performing seaport operations, triple bottom dimensions and its related key performance indicators play a significant role in improving overall aspects of seaport sustainability. This research paper intends to examine key seaport practices that form sustainable seaport development in the Indian major seaports context from stakeholder collaboration and seaport internal sustainable management decision framework. Firstly, the key practices of sustainable seaport development were examined through a broad literature review considering sustainable seaport development and related management and stakeholder-based theories. Sustainability thematic analysis is carried out based on the identification of various dimensions and key performance indicators from various literary works. Based on the theoretical framework seaport sustainability conceptual model was developed. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 87 seaport professionals and FAHP was performed on an input basis by 23 seaport authorities to analyze the prominence of the proposed sustainable seaport development dimensions. This study also indicated that the economic dimension is the most important, while the social dimension is the least vital dimension perceived by Indian seaport managers. This research paper will conclude with a few policy insights for seaport managers in sustainable development decisions to discover areas for improvements in maritime sustainability and enhance the seaport competitiveness. As global supply chains become more developed and complicated, supplier quality has become increasingly influential on the competitiveness of businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, supplier selection is an increasingly important process for any business around the globe. Choosing a supplier is a complex decision that can result in lower procurement costs and increased profits without increasing the cost or lowering the quality of the product. However, these decision-making problems can be complicated in caseswithmultiple potential suppliers. Vietnam's textile and garment industry, for example, has made rapid progress in recent years but is still facing great difficulties as the supply of raw materials and machinery depends heavily on foreign countries. Therefore, it is extremely important for textile and garment manufacturing companies in Vietnam to implement an effective supplier evaluation and selection process. While multicriteria decision-making models are frequently employed to assist with supplier evaluation and selection problems, few of these models consider the problem under the condition of a fuzzy decision-making environment. The aim of this paper is to create a hybrid MCDM model using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) model and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to assist the supplier selection process in the garment industry in a fuzzy decision-making environment. In this study, the FAHP method is used to evaluate the performance and the weight of each criterion. TOPSIS is then used to rank all potential suppliers. The proposed model is then applied to a real-world case study to demonstrate both the process of calculation as well as its real-world applicability. The results from the case study provide empirical evidence that the model is feasible. The proposed approach can also be used in combination with other MCDM models to better support decision makers and can be modified to be applied in similar supplier selection processes for different industries. Around the globe, all developing and developed economies focus on renewable energy sources for clean and sustainable economic growth and aim to decrease carbon emission to improve the climatic condition. This study aims to evaluate the feasible renewable energy source in Pakistan and study the criteria based on the investigation of wind energy, biomass energy, geothermal and solar energy, and their effects on Pakistan's climate. As renewable energy, clean and sustainable production is only produced from renewable energy sources; the current paper bears the viability of five primary renewable energy sources in Pakistan. This article established an advanced fuzzy (AHP) with a multi-perspective approach based on the expert assessment to select the efficient renewable energy in Pakistan. Further in this study, we utilized the DEA model to investigate the relative efficacy of renewable energy. This study indicated that wind energy is the efficient renewable energy source in Pakistan, which showed an efficiency score of 0. 1000. Our results further suggested that wind energy's next option for renewable energy solar best for renewable production in Pakistan. The results further exposed that the solar is the second-highest energy source with an efficiency score of 0. 777. Moreover, geothermal gets a less efficient score, that of 0.198. Further, our study showed that the economic benefits (EBs) and environmental implication criteria are significant in this research. This article gives a strong recommendation for a future wind energy source in Pakistan.
