With the aim of solving the problem of identifying complex underwater acoustic targets using a single signal feature in the Time–Frequency (TF) feature, this paper designs a method that recognizes the underwater targets based on the Delay-Doppler joint feature. First, this method uses symplectic finite Fourier transform (SFFT) to extract the Delay-Doppler features of underwater acoustic signals, analyzes the Time–Frequency features at the same time, and combines the Delay-Doppler (DD) feature and Time–Frequency feature to form a joint feature (TF-DD). This paper uses three types of convolutional neural networks to verify that TF-DD can effectively improve the accuracy of target recognition. Secondly, this paper designs an object recognition model (TF-DD-CNN) based on joint features as input, which simplifies the neural network's overall structure and improves the model's training efficiency. This research employs ship-radiated noise to validate the efficacy of TF-DD-CNN for target identification. Accurately predicting the price of carbon is an effective way of ensuring the stability of the carbon trading market and reducing carbon emissions. Aiming at the non-smooth and non-linear characteristics of carbon price, this paper proposes a novel hybrid prediction model based on improved feature extraction and non-linear integration, which is built on complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN), fuzzy entropy (FuzzyEn), improved random forest using particle swarm optimisation (PSORF), extreme learning machine (ELM), long short-term memory (LSTM), non-linear integration based on multiple linear regression (MLR) and random forest (MLRRF), and error correction with the autoregressive integrated moving average model (ARIMA), named CEEMDAN-FuzzyEn-PSORF-ELM-LSTM-MLRRF-ARIMA. Firstly, CEEMDAN is combined with FuzzyEn in the feature selection process to improve extraction efficiency and reliability. Secondly, at the critical prediction stage, PSORF, ELM, and LSTM are selected to predict high, medium, and low complexity sequences, respectively. Thirdly, the reconstructed sequences are assembled by applying MLRRF, which can effectively improve the prediction accuracy and generalisation ability. Finally, error correction is conducted using ARIMA to obtain the final forecasting results, and the Diebold–Mariano test (DM test) is introduced for a comprehensive evaluation of the models. With respect to carbon prices in the pilot regions of Shenzhen and Hubei, the results indicate that the proposed model has higher prediction accuracy and robustness. The main contributions of this paper are the improved feature extraction and the innovative combination of multiple linear regression and random forests into a non-linear integrated framework for carbon price forecasting. Accurate and comprehensive detection of pavement cracks is important for maintaining road quality and ensuring traffic safety. However, the complexity of road surfaces and the diversity of cracks make it difficult for existing methods to accomplish this challenging task. This paper proposes a novel network named the global graph multiscale network (GGMNet) for automated pixel-level detection of pavement cracks. The GGMNet network has several innovations compared with the mainstream road crack detection network: (1) a global contextual Res-block (GC-Resblock) is proposed to guide the network to emphasize the identities of cracks while suppressing background noises; (2) a graph pyramid pooling module (GPPM) is designed to aggregate the multi-scale features and capture the long-range dependencies of cracks; (3) a multi-scale features fusion module (MFF) is established to efficiently represent and deeply fuse multi-scale features. We carried out extensive experiments on three pavement crack datasets. These were DeepCrack dataset, with complex background noises; the CrackTree260 dataset, with various crack structures; and the Aerial Track Detection dataset, with a drone's perspective. The experimental results demonstrate that GGMNet has excellent performance, high accuracy, and strong robustness. Accurately assessing the state of health (SOH) of lithium batteries is of great significance for improving battery safety performance. However, the current assessment for SOH suffers from the difficulty of selecting health features and the lack of uncertainty using data-driven methods. To this end, this paper proposes a health state assessment method for lithium-ion batteries based on health feature extraction and an improved Informer model. First, multiple features that can reflect the SOH of lithium-ion batteries were extracted from the charging and discharging time, the peak value of incremental capacity curve (ICC), and the inflection point value of differential voltage curve, etc., and the correlation between multiple health features and the health state was evaluated by gray correlation analysis. Then, an improved Informer model is proposed to establish a health state estimation method for lithium-ion batteries. Finally, the proposed algorithm is tested and validated using publicly available battery charge/discharge datasets and compared with other algorithms. The results show that the method in this paper can realize high-precision SOH prediction with a root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 0.011, and the model fit reaches more than 98%. The aim of the paper is to identify an efficient method for transforming the point cloud into parametric objects in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction by four main steps: 3D survey of the structure under investigation, generation of a new point cloud based on feature extraction and identification of suitable threshold values, geometry reconstruction by semi-automatic process performed in Rhinoceros/Grasshopper and BIM implementation. The developed method made it possible to quickly obtain geometries that were very realistic to the original ones as shown in the case study described in the paper. Faced with the problem of incompatibility between traditional information acquisition mode and spaceborne earth observation tasks, starting from the general mathematical model of compressed sensing, a theoretical model of block compressed sensing was established, and a full-process adaptive coding and decoding compressed sensing framework for remote sensing images was proposed, which includes five parts: mode selection, feature factor extraction, adaptive shape segmentation, adaptive sampling rate allocation and image reconstruction. Unlike previous semi-adaptive or local adaptive methods, the advantages of the adaptive encoding and decoding method proposed in this paper are mainly reflected in four aspects: (1) Ability to select encoding modes based on image content, and maximizing the use of the richness of the image to select appropriate sampling methods; (2) Capable of utilizing image texture details for adaptive segmentation, effectively separating complex and smooth regions; (3) Being able to detect the sparsity of encoding blocks and adaptively allocate sampling rates to fully explore the compressibility of images; (4) The reconstruction matrix can be adaptively selected based on the size of the encoding block to alleviate block artifacts caused by non-stationary characteristics of the image. Experimental results show that the method proposed in this article has good stability for remote sensing images with complex edge textures, with the peak signal-to-noise ratio and structural similarity remaining above 35 dB and 0.8. Moreover, especially for ocean images with relatively simple image content, when the sampling rate is 0.26, the peak signal-to-noise ratio reaches 50.8 dB, and the structural similarity is 0.99. In addition, the recovered images have the smallest BRISQUE value, with better clarity and less distortion. In the subjective aspect, the reconstructed image has clear edge details and good reconstruction effect, while the block effect is effectively suppressed. The framework designed in this paper is superior to similar algorithms in both subjective visual and objective evaluation indexes, which is of great significance for alleviating the incompatibility between traditional information acquisition methods and satellite-borne earth observation missions. Simple Summary: In the sorting process of Chinese softshell turtles, it is necessary to classify them based on their weight and accurately identify their plastron and carapace. This process requires heavy manual labor and complex mechanical processing methods. To improve processing efficiency and reduce costs, this article introduces machine vision technology, and a new image processing method is proposed. This method can estimate the weight of Chinese softshell turtles and accurately locate the positions of their plastron and carapace. The automation level of aquaculture can be greatly enhanced, and hardware costs can be reduced through software optimization through this approach. With the rapid development of the turtle breeding industry in China, the demand for automated turtle sorting is increasing. The automatic sorting of Chinese softshell turtles mainly consists of three parts: visual recognition, weight prediction, and individual sorting. This paper focuses on two aspects, i.e., visual recognition and weight prediction, and a novel method for the object detection and weight prediction of Chinese softshell turtles is proposed. In the individual sorting process, computer vision technology is used to estimate the weight of Chinese softshell turtles and classify them by weight. For the visual recognition of the body parts of Chinese softshell turtles, a color space model is proposed in this paper to separate the turtles from the background effectively. By applying multiple linear regression analysis for modeling, the relationship between the weight and morphological parameters of Chinese softshell turtles is obtained, which can be used to estimate the weight of turtles well. An improved deep learning object detection network is used to extract the features of the plastron and carapace of the Chinese softshell turtles, achieving excellent detection results. Aiming at the problems of target detection models in traffic scenarios including a large number of parameters, heavy computational burden, and high application cost, this paper introduces an enhanced lightweight real-time detection algorithm, which exhibits higher detection speed and accuracy for vehicle detection. This paper considers the YOLOv7 algorithm as the benchmark model, designs a lightweight backbone network, and uses the MobileNetV3 lightweight network to extract target features. Inspired by the structure of SPPF, the spatial pyramid pooling module is reconfigured by incorporating GSConv, and a lightweight SPPFCSPC-GS module is designed, aiming to minimize the quantity of model parameters and enhance the training speed even further. Furthermore, the CA mechanism is integrated to enhance the feature extraction capability of the model. Finally, the MPDIoU loss function is utilized to optimize the model's training process. Experiments showcase that the refined YOLOv7 algorithm can achieve 98.2% mAP on the BIT-Vehicle dataset with 52.8% fewer model parameters than the original model and a 35.2% improvement in FPS. To ensure the long-term stable and uninterrupted service of satellite navigation systems, the robustness and reliability of time–frequency systems are crucial. Integrity monitoring is an effective method to enhance the robustness and reliability of time–frequency systems. Time–frequency signals are fundamental for integrity monitoring, with their time differences and frequency biases serving as essential indicators. These indicators are influenced by the inherent characteristics of the time–frequency signals, as well as the links and equipment they traverse. Meanwhile, existing research primarily focuses on only monitoring the integrity of the time–frequency signals' output by the atomic clock group, neglecting the integrity monitoring of the time–frequency signals generated and distributed by the time–frequency signal generation and distribution subsystem. This paper introduces a time–frequency signal integrity monitoring algorithm based on the temperature compensation frequency bias combination model. By analyzing the characteristics of time difference measurements, constructing the temperature compensation frequency bias combination model, and extracting and monitoring noise and frequency bias features from the time difference measurements, the algorithm achieves comprehensive time–frequency signal integrity monitoring. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can effectively detect, identify, and alert users to time–frequency signal faults. Additionally, the model and the integrity monitoring parameters developed in this paper exhibit high adaptability, making them directly applicable to the integrity monitoring of time–frequency signals across various links. This work addresses the challenge of calibrating multiple solid-state LIDAR systems. The study focuses on three different solid-state LIDAR sensors that implement different hardware designs, leading to distinct scanning patterns for each system. Consequently, detecting corresponding points between the point clouds generated by these LIDAR systems—as required for calibration—is a complex task. To overcome this challenge, this paper proposes a method that involves several steps. First, the measurement data are preprocessed to enhance its quality. Next, features are extracted from the acquired point clouds using the Fast Point Feature Histogram method, which categorizes important characteristics of the data. Finally, the extrinsic parameters are computed using the Fast Global Registration technique. The best set of parameters for the pipeline and the calibration success are evaluated using the normalized root mean square error. In a static real-world indoor scenario, a minimum root mean square error of 7 c m was achieved. Importantly, the paper demonstrates that the presented approach is suitable for online use, indicating its potential for real-time applications. With the rapid advancement of remote-sensing technology, the spectral information obtained from hyperspectral remote-sensing imagery has become increasingly rich, facilitating detailed spectral analysis of Earth's surface objects. However, the abundance of spectral information presents certain challenges for data processing, such as the "curse of dimensionality" leading to the "Hughes phenomenon", "strong correlation" due to high resolution, and "nonlinear characteristics" caused by varying surface reflectances. Consequently, dimensionality reduction of hyperspectral data emerges as a critical task. This paper begins by elucidating the principles and processes of hyperspectral image dimensionality reduction based on manifold theory and learning methods, in light of the nonlinear structures and features present in hyperspectral remote-sensing data, and formulates a dimensionality reduction process based on manifold learning. Subsequently, this study explores the capabilities of feature extraction and low-dimensional embedding for hyperspectral imagery using manifold learning approaches, including principal components analysis (PCA), multidimensional scaling (MDS), and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) for linear methods; and isometric mapping (Isomap), locally linear embedding (LLE), Laplacian eigenmaps (LE), Hessian locally linear embedding (HLLE), local tangent space alignment (LTSA), and maximum variance unfolding (MVU) for nonlinear methods, based on the Indian Pines hyperspectral dataset and Pavia University dataset. Furthermore, the paper investigates the optimal neighborhood computation time and overall algorithm runtime for feature extraction in hyperspectral imagery, varying by the choice of neighborhood k and intrinsic dimensionality d values across different manifold learning methods. Based on the outcomes of feature extraction, the study examines the classification experiments of various manifold learning methods, comparing and analyzing the variations in classification accuracy and Kappa coefficient with different selections of neighborhood k and intrinsic dimensionality d values. Building on this, the impact of selecting different bandwidths t for the Gaussian kernel in the LE method and different Lagrange multipliers λ for the MVU method on classification accuracy, given varying choices of neighborhood k and intrinsic dimensionality d, is explored. Through these experiments, the paper investigates the capability and effectiveness of different manifold learning methods in feature extraction and dimensionality reduction within hyperspectral imagery, as influenced by the selection of neighborhood k and intrinsic dimensionality d values, identifying the optimal neighborhood k and intrinsic dimensionality d value for each method. In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning technology, a large number of excellent convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been proposed, many of which are based on improvements to classical methods. Based on the Inception family of methods, depthwise separable convolution was applied to Xception to achieve lightweighting, and Inception-ResNet introduces residual connections to accelerate model convergence. However, existing improvements for the Inception module often neglect further enhancement of its receptive field, while increasing the receptive field of CNNs has been widely studied and proven to be effective in improving classification performance. Motivated by this fact, three effective expansion modules are proposed in this paper. The first expansion module, Inception expand (Inception-e) module, is proposed to improve the classification accuracy by concatenating more and deeper convolutional branches. To reduce the number of parameters for Inception e, this paper proposes a second expansion module—Equivalent Inception-e (Eception) module, which is equivalent to Inception-e in terms of feature extraction capability, but which suppresses the growth of the parameter quantity brought by the expansion by effectively reducing the redundant convolutional layers; on the basis of Eception, this paper proposes a third expansion module—Lightweight Eception (Lception) module, which crosses depthwise convolution with ordinary convolution to further effectively reduce the number of parameters. The three proposed modules have been validated on the Cifar10 dataset. The experimental results show that all these extensions are effective in improving the classification accuracy of the models, and the most significant effect is the Lception module, where Lception (rank = 4) on the Cifar10 dataset improves the accuracy by 1.5% compared to the baseline model (Inception module A) by using only 0.15 M more parameters. Emotion recognition using the electroencephalogram (EEG) has garnered significant attention within the realm of human–computer interaction due to the wealth of genuine emotional data stored in EEG signals. However, traditional emotion recognition methods are deficient in mining the connection between multi-domain features and fitting their advantages. In this paper, we propose a novel capsule Transformer network based on a multi-domain feature for EEG-based emotion recognition, referred to as MES-CTNet. The model's core consists of a multichannel capsule neural network(CapsNet) embedded with ECA (Efficient Channel Attention) and SE (Squeeze and Excitation) blocks and a Transformer-based temporal coding layer. Firstly, a multi-domain feature map is constructed by combining the space–frequency–time characteristics of the multi-domain features as inputs to the model. Then, the local emotion features are extracted from the multi-domain feature maps by the improved CapsNet. Finally, the Transformer-based temporal coding layer is utilized to globally perceive the emotion feature information of the continuous time slices to obtain a final emotion state. The paper fully experimented on two standard datasets with different emotion labels, the DEAP and SEED datasets. On the DEAP dataset, MES-CTNet achieved an average accuracy of 98.31% in the valence dimension and 98.28% in the arousal dimension; it achieved 94.91% for the cross-session task on the SEED dataset, demonstrating superior performance compared to traditional EEG emotion recognition methods. The MES-CTNet method, utilizing a multi-domain feature map as proposed herein, offers a broader observation perspective for EEG-based emotion recognition. With the continuous emergence and development of 3D sensors in recent years, it has become increasingly convenient to collect point cloud data for 3D object detection tasks, such as the field of autonomous driving. But when using these existing methods, there are two problems that cannot be ignored: (1) The bird's eye view (BEV) is a widely used method in 3D objective detection; however, the BEV usually compresses dimensions by combined height, dimension, and channels, which makes the process of feature extraction in feature fusion more difficult. (2) Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) has a much larger effective scanning depth, which causes the sector to become sparse in deep space and the uneven distribution of point cloud data. This results in few features in the distribution of neighboring points around the key points of interest. The following is the solution proposed in this paper: (1) This paper proposes multi-scale feature fusion composed of feature maps at different levels made of Deep Layer Aggregation (DLA) and a feature fusion module for the BEV. (2) A point completion network is used to improve the prediction results by completing the feature points inside the candidate boxes in the second stage, thereby strengthening their position features. Supervised contrastive learning is applied to enhance the segmentation results, improving the discrimination capability between the foreground and background. Experiments show these new additions can achieve improvements of 2.7%, 2.4%, and 2.5%, respectively, on KITTI easy, moderate, and hard tasks. Salient object detection (SOD) aims to identify the most visually striking objects in a scene, simulating the function of the biological visual attention system. The attention mechanism in deep learning is commonly used as an enhancement strategy which enables the neural network to concentrate on the relevant parts when processing input data, effectively improving the model's learning and prediction abilities. Existing saliency object detection methods based on RGB deep learning typically treat all regions equally by using the extracted features, overlooking the fact that different regions have varying contributions to the final predictions. Based on the U2Net algorithm, this paper incorporates the split coordinate channel attention (SCCA) mechanism into the feature extraction stage. SCCA conducts spatial transformation in width and height dimensions to efficiently extract the location information of the target to be detected. While pixel-level semantic segmentation based on annotation has been successful, it assigns the same weight to each pixel which leads to poor performance in detecting the boundary of objects. In this paper, the Canny edge detection loss is incorporated into the loss calculation stage to improve the model's ability to detect object edges. Based on the DUTS and HKU-IS datasets, experiments confirm that the proposed strategies effectively enhance the model's detection performance, resulting in a 0.8% and 0.7% increase in the F1-score of U2Net. For insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules using wire bonding as the interconnection method, the main failure mechanism is cracking of the bonded interface. Studying the mechanical properties of the bonded interface is crucial for assessing the reliability of IGBT modules. In this paper, first, shear tests are conducted on the bonded interface to test the bonded interface's strength. Then, finite element–cohesive zone modeling (FE-CZM) is established to describe the mechanical behavior of the bonded interface. A novel machine learning (ML) architecture integrating a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a long short-term memory (LSTM) network is used to identify the shape and parameters of the traction separation law (TSL) of the FE-CZM model accurately and efficiently. The CNN-LSTM architecture not only has excellent feature extraction and sequence-data-processing abilities but can also effectively address the long-term dependency problem. A total of 1800 sets of datasets are obtained based on numerical computations, and the CNN-LSTM architecture is trained with load–displacement (F–δ) curves as input parameters and TSL shapes and parameters as output parameters. The results show that the error rate of the model for TSL shape prediction is only 0.186%. The performance metric's mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is less than 3.5044% for all the predictions of the TSL parameters. Compared with separate CNN and LSTM architectures, the proposed CNN-LSTM-architecture approach exhibits obvious advantages in recognizing TSL shapes and parameters. A combination of the FE-CZM and ML methods in this paper provides a promising and effective solution for identifying the mechanical parameters of the bonded interfaces of IGBT modules. UAV transmission tower inspection is the use of UAV technology for regular inspection and troubleshooting of towers on transmission lines, which helps to improve the safety and reliability of transmission lines and ensures the stability of the power supply. From the traditional manual tower boarding to the current way of manually selecting target camera shooting points from 3D point clouds to plan the inspection path of the UAV, operational efficiency has drastically improved. However, indoor planning work is still labor-consuming and expensive. In this paper, a deep learning-based point cloud transmission tower segmentation (PCTTS) model combined with the corresponding target point localization algorithm is proposed for automatic segmentation of transmission tower point cloud data and automatically localizing the key inspection component as the target point for UAV inspection. First, we utilize octree sampling with unit ball normalization to simplify the data and ensure translation invariance before putting the data into the model. In the feature extraction stage, we encode the point set information and combine Euclidean distance and cosine similarity features to ensure rotational invariance. On this basis, we adopt multi-scale feature extraction, construct a local coordinate system, and introduce the offset-attention mechanism to enhance model performance further. Then, after the feature propagation module, gradual up-sampling is used to obtain the features of each point to complete the point cloud segmentation. Finally, combining the segmentation results with the target point localization algorithm completes the automatic extraction of UAV inspection target points. The method has been applied to six kinds of transmission tower point cloud data of part segmentation results and three kinds of transmission tower point cloud data of instance segmentation results. The experimental results show that the model achieves mIOU of 94.1% on the self-built part segmentation dataset and 86.9% on the self-built instance segmentation dataset, and the segmentation accuracy outperforms that of the methods for point cloud segmentation, such as PointNet++, DGCNN, Point Transformer, and PointMLP. Recent technological developments have enabled computers to identify and categorize facial expressions to determine a person's emotional state in an image or a video. This process, called "Facial Expression Recognition (FER)", has become one of the most popular research areas in computer vision. In recent times, deep FER systems have primarily concentrated on addressing two significant challenges: the problem of overfitting due to limited training data availability, and the presence of expression-unrelated variations, including illumination, head pose, image resolution, and identity bias. In this paper, a comprehensive survey is provided on deep FER, encompassing algorithms and datasets that offer insights into these intrinsic problems. Initially, this paper presents a detailed timeline showcasing the evolution of methods and datasets in deep facial expression recognition (FER). This timeline illustrates the progression and development of the techniques and data resources used in FER. Then, a comprehensive review of FER methods is introduced, including the basic principles of FER (components such as preprocessing, feature extraction and classification, and methods, etc.) from the pro-deep learning era (traditional methods using handcrafted features, i.e., SVM and HOG, etc.) to the deep learning era. Moreover, a brief introduction is provided related to the benchmark datasets (there are two categories: controlled environments (lab) and uncontrolled environments (in the wild)) used to evaluate different FER methods and a comparison of different FER models. Existing deep neural networks and related training strategies designed for FER, based on static images and dynamic image sequences, are discussed. In this paper, we propose a novel method for monocular depth estimation using the hourglass neck module. The proposed method has the following originality. First, feature maps are extracted from Swin Transformer V2 using a masked image modeling (MIM) pretrained model. Since Swin Transformer V2 has a different patch size for each attention stage, it is easier to extract local and global features from images input by the vision transformer (ViT)-based encoder. Second, to maintain the polymorphism and local inductive bias of the feature map extracted from Swin Transformer V2, a feature map is input into the hourglass neck module. Third, deformable attention can be used at the waist of the hourglass neck module to reduce the computation cost and highlight the locality of the feature map. Finally, the feature map traverses the neck and proceeds through a decoder, comprised of a deconvolution layer and an upsampling layer, to generate a depth image. To evaluate the objective reliability of the proposed method in this paper, we used the NYU Depth V2 dataset to compare and evaluate the methods published in other papers. As a result of the experiment, the RMSE value of the novel method for monocular depth estimation using the hourglass neck module proposed in this paper was 0.274, which was lower than those published in other papers. High-resolution remote sensing image-based vegetation monitoring is a hot topic in remote sensing technology and applications. However, when facing large-scale monitoring across different sensors in broad areas, the current methods suffer from fragmentation and weak generalization capabilities. To address this issue, this paper proposes a multisource high-resolution remote sensing image-based vegetation extraction method that considers the comprehensive perception of multiple features. First, this method utilizes a random forest model to perform feature selection for the vegetation index, selecting an index that enhances the otherness between vegetation and other land features. Based on this, a multifeature synthesis perception convolutional network (MSCIN) is constructed, which enhances the extraction of multiscale feature information, global information interaction, and feature cross-fusion. The MSCIN network simultaneously constructs dual-branch parallel networks for spectral features and vegetation index features, strengthening multiscale feature extraction while reducing the loss of detailed features by simplifying the dense connection module. Furthermore, to facilitate global information interaction between the original spectral information and vegetation index features, a dual-path multihead cross-attention fusion module is designed. This module enhances the differentiation of vegetation from other land features and improves the network's generalization performance, enabling vegetation extraction from multisource high-resolution remote sensing data. To validate the effectiveness of this method, we randomly selected six test areas within Anhui Province and compared the results with three different data sources and other typical methods (NDVI, RFC, OCBDL, and HRNet). The results demonstrate that the MSCIN method proposed in this paper, under the premise of using only GF2 satellite images as samples, exhibits robust accuracy in extraction results across different sensors. The main purpose of this paper is to provide information on how to create a convolutional neural network (CNN) for extracting features from EEG signals. Our task was to understand the primary aspects of creating and fine-tuning CNNs for various application scenarios. We considered the characteristics of EEG signals, coupled with an exploration of various signal processing and data preparation techniques. These techniques include noise reduction, filtering, encoding, decoding, and dimension reduction, among others. In addition, we conduct an in-depth analysis of well-known CNN architectures, categorizing them into four distinct groups: standard implementation, recurrent convolutional, decoder architecture, and combined architecture. Monocular depth estimation using a single remote sensing image has emerged as a focal point in both remote sensing and computer vision research, proving crucial in tasks such as 3D reconstruction and target instance segmentation. Monocular depth estimation does not require multiple views as references, leading to significant improvements in both time and efficiency. Due to the complexity, occlusion, and uneven depth distribution of remote sensing images, there are currently few monocular depth estimation methods for remote sensing images. This paper proposes an approach to remote sensing monocular depth estimation that integrates an attention mechanism while considering global and local feature information. Leveraging a single remote sensing image as input, the method outputs end-to-end depth estimation for the corresponding area. In the encoder, the proposed method employs a dense neural network (DenseNet) feature extraction module with efficient channel attention (ECA), enhancing the capture of local information and details in remote sensing images. In the decoder stage, this paper proposes a dense atrous spatial pyramid pooling (DenseASPP) module with channel and spatial attention modules, effectively mitigating information loss and strengthening the relationship between the target's position and the background in the image. Additionally, weighted global guidance plane modules are introduced to fuse comprehensive features from different scales and receptive fields, finally predicting monocular depth for remote sensing images. Space infrared dim target recognition is an important applications of space situational awareness (SSA). Due to the weak observability and lack of geometric texture of the target, it may be unreliable to rely only on grayscale features for recognition. In this paper, an intelligent information decision-level fusion method for target recognition which takes full advantage of the ensemble classifier and Dempster–Shafer (DS) theory is proposed. To deal with the problem that DS produces counterintuitive results when evidence conflicts, a contraction–expansion function is introduced to modify the body of evidence to mitigate conflicts between pieces of evidence. In this method, preprocessing and feature extraction are first performed on the multi-frame dual-band infrared images to obtain the features of the target, which include long-wave radiant intensity, medium–long-wave radiant intensity, temperature, emissivity–area product, micromotion period, and velocity. Then, the radiation intensities are fed to the random convolutional kernel transform (ROCKET) architecture for recognition. For the micromotion period feature, a support vector machine (SVM) classifier is used, and the remaining categories of the features are input into the long short-term memory network (LSTM) for recognition, respectively. The posterior probabilities corresponding to each category, which are the result outputs of each classifier, are constructed using the basic probability assignment (BPA) function of the DS. Finally, the discrimination of the space target category is implemented according to improved DS fusion rules and decision rules. Continuous multi-frame infrared images of six flight scenes are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The experimental results indicate that the recognition accuracy of the proposed method in this paper can reach 93% under the strong noise level (signal-to-noise ratio is 5). To better address and improve the issues related to DC power quality, this paper proposes an identification method tailored for DC power quality disturbances. First, it explores the underlying mechanisms and waveform characteristics of common DC power disturbances. By integrating the results of time–frequency analysis obtained through the S-transform, five distinct features are designed and extracted to serve as classification indicators. The SABO algorithm is subsequently employed to optimize the BP neural network, assisting in determining the optimal input weights and hidden layer thresholds. This optimization technique helps prevent the network from becoming stuck in local minima, thereby enhancing its robustness and generalization capabilities. This paper presents a simulation system for AC/DC power systems to conduct experimental verification. The system simulates various DC power quality issues and monitors abnormal waveforms. According to the designated classification index, the features of simulated disturbance signals are extracted. The SABO-BP classification prediction model is then used to automatically classify and identify the samples. The experimental results demonstrate high accuracy in classification and identification using the proposed method. In comparison to the BP neural network method, the SABO-BP method demonstrates an 8.207% improvement in accurately identifying disturbance signals. To enhance the accuracy of theft detection for electricity consumers, this paper introduces a novel strategy based on the fusion of the dual-time feature and deep learning methods. Initially, considering electricity-consumption features at dual temporal scales, the paper employs temporal convolutional networks (TCN) with a long short-term memory (LSTM) multi-level feature extraction module (LSTM-TCN) and deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) to parallelly extract features at these scales. Subsequently, the extracted features are coupled and input into a fully connected (FC) layer for classification, enabling the precise detection of theft users. To validate the method's effectiveness, real electricity-consumption data from the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is used for testing. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a remarkable detection accuracy of up to 94.7% during testing, showcasing excellent performance across various evaluation metrics. Specifically, it attained values of 0.932, 0.964, 0.948, and 0.986 for precision, recall, F1 score, and AUC, respectively. Effective feature extraction and selection are crucial for the accurate classification and prediction of hand gestures based on electromyographic signals. In this paper, we systematically compare six filter and wrapper feature evaluation methods and investigate their respective impacts on the accuracy of gesture recognition. The investigation is based on several benchmark datasets and one real hand gesture dataset, including 15 hand force exercises collected from 14 healthy subjects using eight commercial sEMG sensors. A total of 37 time- and frequency-domain features were extracted from each sEMG channel. The benchmark dataset revealed that the minimum Redundancy Maximum Relevance (mRMR) feature evaluation method had the poorest performance, resulting in a decrease in classification accuracy. However, the RFE method demonstrated the potential to enhance classification accuracy across most of the datasets. It selected a feature subset comprising 65 features, which led to an accuracy of 97.14%. The Mutual Information (MI) method selected 200 features to reach an accuracy of 97.38%. The Feature Importance (FI) method reached a higher accuracy of 97.62% but selected 140 features. Further investigations have shown that selecting 65 and 75 features with the RFE methods led to an identical accuracy of 97.14%. A thorough examination of the selected features revealed the potential for three additional features from three specific sensors to enhance the classification accuracy to 97.38%. These results highlight the significance of employing an appropriate feature selection method to significantly reduce the number of necessary features while maintaining classification accuracy. Indoor localization has long been a challenging task due to the complexity and dynamism of indoor environments. This paper proposes ULG-SLAM, a novel unsupervised learning and geometric-based visual SLAM algorithm for robot localizability estimation to improve the accuracy and robustness of visual SLAM. Firstly, a dynamic feature filtering based on unsupervised learning and moving consistency checks is developed to eliminate the features of dynamic objects. Secondly, an improved line feature extraction algorithm based on LSD is proposed to optimize the effect of geometric feature extraction. Thirdly, geometric features are used to optimize localizability estimation, and an adaptive weight model and attention mechanism are built using the method of region delimitation and region growth. Finally, to verify the effectiveness and robustness of localizability estimation, multiple indoor experiments using the EuRoC dataset and TUM RGB-D dataset are conducted. Compared with ORBSLAM2, the experimental results demonstrate that absolute trajectory accuracy can be improved by 95% for equivalent processing speed in walking sequences. In fr3/walking_xyz and fr3/walking_half, ULG-SLAM tracks more trajectories than DS-SLAM, and the ATE RMSE is improved by 36% and 6%, respectively. SAR image target recognition relies heavily on a large number of annotated samples, making it difficult to classify the unseen class targets. Due to the lack of effective category auxiliary information, the current zero-shot target recognition methods for SAR images are limited to inferring only one unseen class rather than classifying multiple unseen classes. To address this issue, a conditional generative network with the category features from the simulated images for zero-shot SAR target recognition is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the deep features are extracted from the simulated images and fused into the category features that characterize the entire class. Then, a conditional VAE-GAN network is constructed to generate the feature instances of the unseen classes. The high-level semantic information shared in the category features aids in generalizing the mapping learned from the seen classes to the unseen classes. Finally, the generated features of the unseen classes are used to train a classifier that can classify the real unseen images. The classification accuracies for the targets of the three unseen classes based on the proposed method can reach 99.80 ± 1.22% and 71.57 ± 2.28% with the SAMPLE dataset and the MSTAR dataset, respectively. The advantage and validity of the proposed architecture are indicated with a small number of the seen classes and a small amount of the training data. In recent years, the use of deep neural network in effective network feature extraction and the design of efficient and high-precision hyperspectral image classification algorithms has gradually become a research hotspot for scholars. However, due to the difficulty of obtaining hyperspectral images and the high cost of annotation, the training samples are very limited. In order to cope with the small sample problem, researchers often deepen the network model and use the attention mechanism to extract features; however, as the network model continues to deepen, the gradient disappears, the feature extraction ability is insufficient, and the computational cost is high. Therefore, how to make full use of the spectral and spatial information in limited samples has gradually become a difficult problem. In order to cope with such problems, this paper proposes two-branch multiscale spatial–spectral feature aggregation with a self-attention mechanism for a hyperspectral image classification model (FHDANet); the model constructs a dense two-branch pyramid structure, which can achieve the high efficiency extraction of joint spatial–spectral feature information and spectral feature information, reduce feature loss to a large extent, and strengthen the model's ability to extract contextual information. A channel–space attention module, ECBAM, is proposed, which greatly improves the extraction ability of the model for salient features, and a spatial information extraction module based on the deep feature fusion strategy HLDFF is proposed, which fully strengthens feature reusability and mitigates the feature loss problem brought about by the deepening of the model. Compared with five hyperspectral image classification algorithms, SVM, SSRN, A2S2K-ResNet, HyBridSN, SSDGL, RSSGL and LANet, this method significantly improves the classification performance on four representative datasets. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) change detection provides a powerful tool for continuous, reliable, and objective observation of the Earth, supporting a wide range of applications that require regular monitoring and assessment of changes in the natural and built environment. In this paper, we introduce a novel SAR image change detection method based on principal component analysis and two-level clustering. First, two difference images of the log-ratio and mean-ratio operators are computed, then the principal component analysis fusion model is used to fuse the two difference images, and a new difference image is generated. To incorporate contextual information during the feature extraction phase, Gabor wavelets are used to obtain the representation of the difference image across multiple scales and orientations. The maximum magnitude across all orientations at each scale is then concatenated to form the Gabor feature vector. Following this, a cascading clustering algorithm is developed within this discriminative feature space by merging the first-level fuzzy c-means clustering with the second-level neighbor rule. Ultimately, the two-level combination of the changed and unchanged results produces the final change map. Object detection is one of the core technologies for autonomous driving. Current road object detection mainly relies on visible light, which is prone to missed detections and false alarms in rainy, night-time, and foggy scenes. Multispectral object detection based on the fusion of RGB and infrared images can effectively address the challenges of complex and changing road scenes, improving the detection performance of current algorithms in complex scenarios. However, previous multispectral detection algorithms suffer from issues such as poor fusion of dual-mode information, poor detection performance for multi-scale objects, and inadequate utilization of semantic information. To address these challenges and enhance the detection performance in complex road scenes, this paper proposes a novel multispectral object detection algorithm called MRD-YOLO. In MRD-YOLO, we utilize interaction-based feature extraction to effectively fuse information and introduce the BIC-Fusion module with attention guidance to fuse different modal information. We also incorporate the SAConv module to improve the model's detection performance for multi-scale objects and utilize the AIFI structure to enhance the utilization of semantic information. Finally, we conduct experiments on two major public datasets, FLIR_Aligned and M3FD. Assessing mobility in daily life can provide significant insights into several clinical conditions, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In this paper, we present a comprehensive analysis of wearable devices' performance in gait speed estimation and explore optimal device combinations for everyday use. Using data collected from smartphones, smartwatches, and smart shoes, we evaluated the individual capabilities of each device and explored their synergistic effects when combined, thereby accommodating the preferences and possibilities of individuals for wearing different types of devices. Our study involved 20 healthy subjects performing a modified Six-Minute Walking Test (6MWT) under various conditions. The results revealed only little performance differences among devices, with the combination of smartwatches and smart shoes exhibiting superior estimation accuracy. Particularly, smartwatches captured additional health-related information and demonstrated enhanced accuracy when paired with other devices. Surprisingly, wearing all devices concurrently did not yield optimal results, suggesting a potential redundancy in feature extraction. In recent years, deep learning methods have achieved remarkable success in hyperspectral image classification (HSIC), and the utilization of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) has proven to be highly effective. However, there are still several critical issues that need to be addressed in the HSIC task, such as the lack of labeled training samples, which constrains the classification accuracy and generalization ability of CNNs. To address this problem, a deep multi-scale attention fusion network (DMAF-NET) is proposed in this paper. This network is based on multi-scale features and fully exploits the deep features of samples from multiple levels and different perspectives with an aim to enhance HSIC results using limited samples. The innovation of this article is mainly reflected in three aspects: Firstly, a novel baseline network for multi-scale feature extraction is designed with a pyramid structure and densely connected 3D octave convolutional network enabling the extraction of deep-level information from features at different granularities. Secondly, a multi-scale spatial–spectral attention module and a pyramidal multi-scale channel attention module are designed, respectively. This allows modeling of the comprehensive dependencies of coordinates and directions, local and global, in four dimensions. Finally, a multi-attention fusion module is designed to effectively combine feature mappings extracted from multiple branches. During robot-assisted rehabilitation, failure to recognize lower limb movement may efficiently limit the development of exoskeleton robots, especially for individuals with knee pathology. A major challenge encountered with surface electromyography (sEMG) signals generated by lower limb movements is variability between subjects, such as motion patterns and muscle structure. To this end, this paper proposes an sEMG-based lower limb motion recognition using an improved support vector machine (SVM). Firstly, non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) is leveraged to analyze muscle synergy for multi-channel sEMG signals. Secondly, the multi-nonlinear sEMG features are extracted, which reflect the complexity of muscle status change during various lower limb movements. The Fisher discriminant function method is utilized to perform feature selection and reduce feature dimension. Then, a hybrid genetic algorithm-particle swarm optimization (GA-PSO) method is leveraged to determine the best parameters for SVM. Finally, the experiments are carried out to distinguish 11 healthy and 11 knee pathological subjects by performing three different lower limb movements. Results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approach in three different lower limb movements with an average accuracy of 96.03% in healthy subjects and 93.65% in knee pathological subjects, respectively. Underwater images suffer from low contrast and color distortion. In order to improve the quality of underwater images and reduce storage and computational resources, this paper proposes a lightweight model Rep-UWnet to enhance underwater images. The model consists of a fully connected convolutional network and three densely connected RepConv blocks in series, with the input images connected to the output of each block with a Skip connection. First, the original underwater image is subjected to feature extraction by the SimSPPF module and is processed through feature summation with the original one to be produced as the input image. Then, the first convolutional layer with a kernel size of 3 × 3, generates 64 feature maps, and the multi-scale hybrid convolutional attention module enhances the useful features by reweighting the features of different channels. Second, three RepConv blocks are connected to reduce the number of parameters in extracting features and increase the test speed. Finally, a convolutional layer with 3 kernels generates enhanced underwater images. Our method reduces the number of parameters from 2.7 M to 0.45 M (around 83% reduction) but outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms by extensive experiments. Furthermore, we demonstrate our Rep-UWnet effectively improves high-level vision tasks like edge detection and single image depth estimation. This method not only surpasses the contrast method in objective quality, but also significantly improves the contrast, colorimetry, and clarity of underwater images in subjective quality. Localization and perception play an important role as the basis of autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications, providing the internal state of movements and the external understanding of environments. Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM), one of the critical techniques for localization and perception, is facing technical upgrading, due to the development of embedded hardware, multi-sensor technology, and artificial intelligence. This survey aims at the development of visual SLAM and the basis of UAV applications. The solutions to critical problems for visual SLAM are shown by reviewing state-of-the-art and newly presented algorithms, providing the research progression and direction in three essential aspects: real-time performance, texture-less environments, and dynamic environments. Visual–inertial fusion and learning-based enhancement are discussed for UAV localization and perception to illustrate their role in UAV applications. Subsequently, the trend of UAV localization and perception is shown. The algorithm components, camera configuration, and data processing methods are also introduced to give comprehensive preliminaries. In this paper, we provide coverage of visual SLAM and its related technologies over the past decade, with a specific focus on their applications in autonomous UAV applications. Power quality improvement and Power quality disturbance (PQD) detection are two significant concerns that must be addressed to ensure an efficient power distribution within the utility grid. When the process to analyze PQD is migrated to real-time platforms, the possible occurrence of a phase mismatch can affect the algorithm's accuracy; this paper evaluates phase shifting as an additional stage in signal acquisition for detecting and classifying eight types of single power quality disturbances. According to their mathematical models, a set of disturbances was generated using an arbitrary waveform generator BK Precision 4064. The acquisition, detection, and classification stages were embedded into a BeagleBone Black. The detection stage was performed using multiresolution analysis. The feature vectors of the acquired signals were obtained from the combination of Shannon entropy and log-energy entropy. For classification purposes, four types of classifiers were trained: multilayer perceptron, K-nearest neighbors, probabilistic neural network, and decision tree. For airborne radar, detecting a low–slow–small (LSS) target is a hot and challenging topic, which results from the rapidly increasing number of non-cooperative flying LSS targets becoming of widespread concern, and the low signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) of LSS targets results in the targets being particularly easily overwhelmed by the clutter. In this paper, a novel light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM)-based LSS target detection algorithm for airborne radar is proposed. The proposed method, based on the current real-time clutter environment of the range cell to be detected, firstly designs a specific real-time space-time LSS target signal repository with special dimensions and structures. Then, the proposed method creatively designs a new fast-built real-time training feature dataset specifically for the LSS target and the current clutter, together with a series of unique data transformations, sample selection, data restructuring, feature extraction, and feature processing. Finally, the proposed method develops a unique machine learning-based LSS target detection classifier model for the designed training dataset, by fully excavating and utilizing the advantages of the ensemble decision trees-based LightGBM. Consequently, the pre-processed data in the range cell of interest are classified using the proposed algorithm, which achieves LSS target detection by evaluating the output results of the designed classifier. Compared with the traditional classical target detection methods, the proposed algorithm is capable of providing markedly superior performance for LSS target detection. With an appropriate computational time, the proposed algorithm attains the highest probability of detecting LSS targets under the low SCR. The efficient and timely identification of oil spill areas is crucial for ocean environmental protection. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is widely used in oil spill detection due to its all-weather monitoring capability. Meanwhile, existing deep learning-based oil spill detection methods mainly rely on the classical U-Net framework and have achieved impressive results. However, SAR images exhibit high noise, blurry boundaries, and irregular shapes of target areas, as well as speckles and shadows, which lead to the loss of performance in existing algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel network architecture to achieve more precise segmentation of oil spill areas by reintroducing rich semantic contextual information before obtaining the final segmentation mask. Specifically, the proposed architecture can re-fuse feature maps from different levels at the decoder end. We design a multi-convolutional layer (MCL) module to extract basic feature information from SAR images, and a feature extraction module (FEM) module further extracts and fuses feature maps generated by the U-Net decoder at different levels. Through these operations, the network can learn rich global and local contextual information, enable sufficient interaction of feature information at different stages, enhance the model's contextual awareness, and improve its ability to recognize complex textures and blurry boundaries, thereby enhancing the segmentation accuracy of SAR images. Object detection plays a crucial role in autonomous driving assistance systems. It requires high accuracy for prediction, a small size for deployment on mobile devices, and real-time inference speed to ensure safety. In this paper, we present a compact and efficient algorithm called YOLOX with United Attention Head (UAH-YOLOX) for detection in autonomous driving scenarios. By replacing the backbone network with GhostNet for feature extraction, the model reduces the number of parameters and computational complexity. By adding a united attention head before the YOLO head, the model effectively detects the scale, position, and contour features of targets. In particular, an attention module called Spatial Self-Attention is designed to extract spatial location information, demonstrating great potential in detection. In our network, the IOU Loss (Intersection of Union) has been replaced with CIOU Loss (Complete Intersection of Union). Further experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed methods on the BDD100k dataset and the Caltech Pedestrian dataset. UAH-YOLOX achieves state-of-the-art results by improving the detection accuracy of the BDD100k dataset by 1.70% and increasing processing speed by 3.37 frames per second (FPS). Coda waves are highly sensitive to changes in medium properties and can serve as a tool for structural health monitoring (SHM). However, high sensitivity also makes them susceptible to noise, leading to excessive dispersion of monitoring results. In this paper, a coda wave multi-feature extraction method is proposed, in which three parameters, the time shift, the time stretch, and the amplitude variation of the wave trains within the time window, are totally derived. These three parameters are each mapped to the temperature variations of concrete beams, and then combined together with their optimal weight coefficients to give a best-fitted temperature–multi-parameter relationship that has the smallest errors. Coda wave signals were collected from an ultrasonic experiment on concrete beams within an environmental temperature range of 14 °C~21 °C to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results indicate that the combination of multi-features derived from coda wave signals to quantify the medium temperature is feasible. Compared to the relationship established by a single parameter, the goodness-of-fit is improved. During identification, the method effectively reduces the dispersion of identification errors and mitigates the impact of noise interference on structural state assessment. With the continuous advancement of autonomous driving and monitoring technologies, there is increasing attention on non-intrusive target monitoring and recognition. This paper proposes an ArcFace SE-attention model-agnostic meta-learning approach (AS-MAML) by integrating attention mechanisms into residual networks for pedestrian gait recognition using frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) millimeter-wave radar through meta-learning. We enhance the feature extraction capability of the base network using channel attention mechanisms and integrate the additive angular margin loss function (ArcFace loss) into the inner loop of MAML to constrain inner loop optimization and improve radar discrimination. Then, this network is used to classify small-sample micro-Doppler images obtained from millimeter-wave radar as the data source for pose recognition. Experimental tests were conducted on pose estimation and image classification tasks. The results demonstrate significant detection and recognition performance, with an accuracy of 94.5%, accompanied by a 95% confidence interval. Additionally, on the open-source dataset DIAT-μRadHAR, which is specially processed to increase classification difficulty, the network achieves a classification accuracy of 85.9%. In order to efficiently identify early tea diseases, an improved YOLOv8 lesion detection method is proposed to address the challenges posed by the complex background of tea diseases, difficulty in detecting small lesions, and low recognition rate of similar phenotypic symptoms. This method focuses on detecting tea leaf blight, tea white spot, tea sooty leaf disease, and tea ring spot as the research objects. This paper presents an enhancement to the YOLOv8 network framework by introducing the Receptive Field Concentration-Based Attention Module (RFCBAM) into the backbone network to replace C2f, thereby improving feature extraction capabilities. Additionally, a mixed pooling module (Mixed Pooling SPPF, MixSPPF) is proposed to enhance information blending between features at different levels. In the neck network, the RepGFPN module replaces the C2f module to further enhance feature extraction. The Dynamic Head module is embedded in the detection head part, applying multiple attention mechanisms to improve multi-scale spatial location and multi-task perception capabilities. The inner-IoU loss function is used to replace the original CIoU, improving learning ability for small lesion samples. Furthermore, the AKConv block replaces the traditional convolution Conv block to allow for the arbitrary sampling of targets of various sizes, reducing model parameters and enhancing disease detection. the experimental results using a self-built dataset demonstrate that the enhanced YOLOv8-RMDA exhibits superior detection capabilities in detecting small target disease areas, achieving an average accuracy of 93.04% in identifying early tea lesions. When compared to Faster R-CNN, MobileNetV2, and SSD, the average precision rates of YOLOv5, YOLOv7, and YOLOv8 have shown improvements of 20.41%, 17.92%, 12.18%, 12.18%, 10.85%, 7.32%, and 5.97%, respectively. Additionally, the recall rate (R) has increased by 15.25% compared to the lowest-performing Faster R-CNN model and by 8.15% compared to the top-performing YOLOv8 model. Automotive radar is one of the key sensors for intelligent driving. Radar image sequences contain abundant spatial and temporal information, enabling target classification. For existing radar spatiotemporal classifiers, multi-view radar images are usually employed to enhance the information of the target and 3D convolution is employed for spatiotemporal feature extraction. These models consume significant hardware resources and are not applicable to real-time applications. In this paper, RadarTCN, a novel lightweight network, is proposed that achieves high-accuracy online target classification using single-view radar image sequences only. In RadarTCN, 2D convolution and 3D-TCN are employed to extract spatiotemporal features sequentially. To reduce data dimensionality and computational complexity, a multi-layer max pooling down-sampling method is designed in a 2D convolution module. Meanwhile, the 3D-TCN module is improved through residual pruning and causal convolution is introduced for leveraging the performance of online target classification. The experimental results demonstrate that RadarTCN can achieve high-precision online target recognition for both range-angle and range-Doppler map sequences. Accurate and fast recognition of vehicle license plates from natural scene images is a crucial and challenging task. Existing methods can recognize license plates in simple scenarios, but their performance degrades significantly in complex environments. A novel license plate detection and recognition model YOLOv5-PDLPR is proposed, which employs YOLOv5 target detection algorithm in the license plate detection part and uses the PDLPR algorithm proposed in this paper in the license plate recognition part. The PDLPR algorithm is mainly designed as follows: (1) A Multi-Head Attention mechanism is used to accurately recognize individual characters. (2) A global feature extractor network is designed to improve the completeness of the network for feature extraction. (3) The latest parallel decoder architecture is adopted to improve the inference efficiency. To address the challenge of accurately locating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in situations where radar tracking is not feasible and visual observation is difficult, this paper proposes an innovative acoustic source localization method based on improved Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) within an adaptive frequency window. In this study, the collected flight signals of UAVs undergo smoothing filtering. Additionally, Robust Empirical Mode Decomposition (REMD) is applied to decompose the signals into Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) components for spectrum analysis. We introduce a sliding frequency window with adjustable bandwidth, which is automatically determined using a Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) with a sliding index. This window is used to lock and extract specific frequencies from the IMFs. Based on predefined criteria, the extracted IMF components are reconstructed, and trigger signal times are analyzed and recorded from these reconstructed IMFs. The time differences between sensor receptions are then calculated. Furthermore, this study introduces the Chan–Taylor localization algorithm based on weighted least squares. This advanced algorithm takes sensor time delay parameters as input and solves a set of nonlinear equations to determine the target's location. Simulations and real-world signal tests are used to validate the robustness and performance of the proposed method. The results indicate that the localization error remains below 5% within a 15 m × 15 m measurement area. This provides an efficient and real-time method for detecting the location of small UAVs. The extraction of effective classification features from high-dimensional hyperspectral images, impeded by the scarcity of labeled samples and uneven sample distribution, represents a formidable challenge within hyperspectral image classification. Traditional few-shot learning methods confront the dual dilemma of limited annotated samples and the necessity for deeper, more effective features from complex hyperspectral data, often resulting in suboptimal outcomes. The prohibitive cost of sample annotation further exacerbates the challenge, making it difficult to rely on a scant number of annotated samples for effective feature extraction. Prevailing high-accuracy algorithms require abundant annotated samples and falter in deriving deep, discriminative features from limited data, compromising classification performance for complex substances. This paper advocates for an integration of advanced spectral–spatial feature extraction with meta-transfer learning to address the classification of hyperspectral signals amidst insufficient labeled samples. Initially trained on a source domain dataset with ample labels, the model undergoes transference to a target domain with minimal samples, utilizing dense connection blocks and tree-dimensional convolutional residual connections to enhance feature extraction and maximize spatial and spectral information retrieval. This approach, validated on three diverse hyperspectral datasets—IP, UP, and Salinas—significantly surpasses existing classification algorithms and small-sample techniques in accuracy, demonstrating its applicability to high-dimensional signal classification under label constraints. In this paper, we present an unprecedented method based on Kohonen networks that is able to automatically recognize partial discharge (PD) classes from phase-resolved partial discharge (PRPD) diagrams with features of various simultaneous PD patterns. The PRPD diagrams were obtained from the stator windings of a real-world hydro-generator rotating machine. The proposed approach integrates classification probabilities into the Kohonen method, producing self-organizing probability maps (SOPMs). For building SOPMs, a group of PRPD diagrams, each containing a single PD pattern for training the Kohonen networks and single- and multiple-class-featured samples for obtaining final SOPMs, is used to calculate the probabilities of each Kohonen neuron to be associated with the various PD classes considered. At the end of this process, a self-organizing probability map is produced. Probabilities are calculated using distances, obtained in the space of features, between neurons and samples. The so-produced SOPM enables the effective classification of PRPD samples and provides the probability that a given PD sample is associated with a PD class. In this work, amplitude histograms are the features extracted from PRPDs maps. Our results demonstrate an average classification accuracy rate of approximately 90% for test samples. Facing the significant challenge of 3D object detection in complex weather conditions and road environments, existing algorithms based on single-frame point cloud data struggle to achieve desirable results. These methods typically focus on spatial relationships within a single frame, overlooking the semantic correlations and spatiotemporal continuity between consecutive frames. This leads to discontinuities and abrupt changes in the detection outcomes. To address this issue, this paper proposes a multi-frame 3D object detection algorithm based on a deformable spatiotemporal Transformer. Specifically, a deformable cross-scale Transformer module is devised, incorporating a multi-scale offset mechanism that non-uniformly samples features at different scales, enhancing the spatial information aggregation capability of the output features. Simultaneously, to address the issue of feature misalignment during multi-frame feature fusion, a deformable cross-frame Transformer module is proposed. This module incorporates independently learnable offset parameters for different frame features, enabling the model to adaptively correlate dynamic features across multiple frames and improve the temporal information utilization of the model. A proposal-aware sampling algorithm is introduced to significantly increase the foreground point recall, further optimizing the efficiency of feature extraction. The obtained multi-scale and multi-frame voxel features are subjected to an adaptive fusion weight extraction module, referred to as the proposed mixed voxel set extraction module. This module allows the model to adaptively obtain mixed features containing both spatial and temporal information. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated on the KITTI, nuScenes, and self-collected urban datasets. Hyperspectral image classification (HSIC) has garnered increasing attention among researchers. While classical networks like convolution neural networks (CNNs) have achieved satisfactory results with the advent of deep learning, they are confined to processing local information. Vision transformers, despite being effective at establishing long-distance dependencies, face challenges in extracting high-representation features for high-dimensional images. In this paper, we present the multiscale efficient attention with enhanced feature transformer (MEA-EFFormer), which is designed for the efficient extraction of spectral–spatial features, leading to effective classification. MEA-EFFormer employs a multiscale efficient attention feature extraction module to initially extract 3D convolution features and applies effective channel attention to refine spectral information. Following this, 2D convolution features are extracted and integrated with local binary pattern (LBP) spatial information to augment their representation. Then, the processed features are fed into a spectral–spatial enhancement attention (SSEA) module that facilitates interactive enhancement of spectral–spatial information across the three dimensions. Finally, these features undergo classification through a transformer encoder.
