This paper designed the village platform reconstruction plan according to the flood control standard of resisting the once-in-twenty-year flood. Based on the water and sediment data, land use type data and terrain data of floods of different return periods in the lower Yellow River, Delft3D software was used to establish a two-dimensional mathematical model of water and sediment, and the flood evolution of the Huayuankou-Aishan section in the lower Yellow River under the current plan of the village platform and the reconstruction plan of the village platform were simulated and calculated respectively. The results show that under the two schemes, with the increase of flood magnitude, the submerged area of floodplain and non-residential land is gradually increased. Compared with the current village platform plan, under the village platform reconstruction plan, the submerged area of floodplain and residential land is reduced, and the submerged area of non-residential land slightly increases, but the submerged water depth of floodplain and non-residential land is gradually increased, and the proportion of the area in which the submerged water depth of the residential areas is reduced is more than 95%. The village platform reconstruction plan can reduce the submerged area and submerged water depth of the residential area in the study area, and play a role in protecting the residential area.
